It was off season and the weather was cold and rainy (end of March) so I didn’t get a good showing of the property. The pool was closed and run-down looking. I rented a car and drove down from Lisbon. Which was great, until I got to the hotel. The streets are so narrow…You really can’t even pull over to get your bags out. You have to park almost a mile away. So I would recommend not staying here if you have a car. With that said, everything around there is walkable and the location is good and Albufria,. The hotel itself is very confusing since it’s built on it hill and you have to change elevators to go to the bottom or top. I found it honestly a little eerie walking around the hotel… especially as a solo traveler. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was nice & had easy access to restaurants, shopping and beach. Quite Noisy until bars close but all hotels in Albufeira may have this issue. Very cold pool.

Good hotel very central location. Would be easy to get to by car except for long term construction closing the direct road. An unpleasant surprise, however the staff did their very best to redirect and we made it. Had to find street parking. There is a free parking lot about 10 minutes walk. Hilly.

This was our first time we stayed in the hotel and it certainly did not disappoint. From check in to check out, our experience was excellent. From funky rooms to the DJ playing by the pool in the afternoon, it really was brilliant. Although located in the centre of the old town and near the night life, the rooms are so well sound proofed we really didn’t hear much of the noise. Nice spa but small. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to stay again

Great Hotel, in a great location, with a lovely rooftop pool. The room was beautiful! the food and drink was superb. The spa was one of the best we had ever been to. The staff were so friendly and always willing to help. We will definitely be back! thank you Hotel California for making our stay so special.

Everything was fine, but how can you say in the revievs that you have a gyn😂. You dont have a gym. You have two devices in the balkony wich have nothing to do with gym.

Parking was extremely difficult, we had to drive a few circles to just get a chance to unload stuff as there’s no parking options and drivers behind just rudely harass us to drive on. We arrived 3am and almost couldn’t check in due to parking situation. Front desk person only allowed us to use the parking area in the front (at 3am) after we were so frustrated and decided to leave and not check into the hotel. Will not book this hotel again due to their location and inconvenient parking situation. Also there was no VIP room upgrade as I supposed to get according to the booking agency. The room we got was very inconveniently located, we had to take elevator from 8 to 6, then walk through a passage, take another elevator from 6 to 4, walk a long passage to reach a room that you can see a super dirty rooftop outside of the window. Overall this is the wordy hotel experience I’ve ever had after traveling to many countries many locations. Can’t be more disappointed.

We fully enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal, the staff all very friendly and accommodating. Location was so convenient, you can come right out onto the street and there’s a convenience store steps from the entrance! The gym is quite minimal, so we went to the Marina du Albufeira and got a week’s pass at the Luxury Fitness there. The pillows are a bit on the small/soft side, but I’m sure they would have given us extras had we asked (we were always just so tired when we got back to the room!) We also found the room quite soundproof, despite being so close to the busy street and pool.

I'd seen the reviews & knew it could be noisey but I didn't expect it to be so bad. Our room was fifth floor, above bar street & it was bouncing from 1700 til 0500. We slept fine though & didn't bother to ask for a move. The toilet and shower were actually within the room & the only privacy was behind a glass screen.We killed 4 cockroaches in the room during our last 2 nights. The bed was massive and very comfortable.

Fantastic modern contemporary hotel, fresh, clean, as many have said this is in a noisy spot but if you prepared for that it's a great location for everything, food lovely, staff great, would be better if there was a kettle in the room rather than a silly little expresso machine.

The property was in a great location. It was not as clean as I would have liked. The biggest problem was my partner and I got over forty bed bug bites. When we reported this the desk clerk said they were sorry but found it hard to believe!

Clean spotless, great service, amazing friendly staff. Great location close to nightlife but also close to old town. Fantastic stay, room facing the strip can get a bit noisy but if you keep windows close it helps a lot. There is nothing not to like here, just a great hotel with great hospitality.

Cool decor, great vibe, super clean, amazing breakfast and worth the $, overall good value in excellent location. Do not fret about the place being too loud. The whole town is loud and we did not have a problem at all with is.

Wonderful modern hotel. Had a room facing the pool and a package that included breakfast. I recommend both. Great modern music at the pool. It is walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops, and the beach. The bars are loud at night and the noise may impact you, but we were able to sleep through it by our second night.

Hotel was horrible. Very tiny room. No door or meaningful separation existed between the bathroom, shower area and the rest of the room. Bed was a mattress on a veryn low platform. Very difficult to get in and out of. Bathroom was a complete joke. No where to place even a small toiletry bag because there were no counters near the very small bathroom sink. You will have to pay me to ever stay there again.

In addition the rooms have the air conditioner above your head so when it’s turned on your freezing and when it’s off you’re burning hot really no in between. Only option is to freeze and get sick. I would only come back here if there was a so no other option.

Not a great experience. Hotel has 2 separate bldgs that we had to take 2 elevators to get to our room. Front desk staff is ok. The room has the weirdest set up. Open concept and a jacuzzi in between the bed. There was a leak in the toilet that created a huge puddle and spreading to the room (open concept). Location is good but noisy at time. Tv remote and TV are not working for us despite taking 3 trips to front desk as phone is not working either. Not recommended!

Seaview, was actually air con unit. Location is in the heart of Portugal malaga or iyanapa. Deafening in the room in evenings, bar after bar of music bashing your ears - literally. Unless you want to expire in the heat by keeping windows closed. Zero peace or quieter areas anywhere near this place

Nous avons passés un superbe séjour au sein de cet l’hôtel qui est très grand, avec de nombreux services mis à notre disposition. Le personnel est accueillant, le buffet du petit-déjeuner est excellent ; un choix riches et variés. Nous étions dans une chambre donnant vue sur la vie nocturne, attention si vous êtes sensible au bruit, malgré que l’isolation soit assez bonne ! L’unique point négatif : nous avions aucun support de rangement pour nos vêtements hormis 4 cintres et une chaise…. Même une table de chevet n’aurait pas été déplaisant.

The stay was wonderful. Very nice and professional staff. The room (L size) on the 6th floor was great, with great soundproof windows. The bathroom soap/shampoo is the very fancy Rituals brand. But body gel and shampoo bottles seem to be diluted a lot with water, so it is not convenient to shower. The pool area and bar are great with plenty of beds and towels... Too bad i wanted to keep the room an extra 2-hours upon check-out, which was first accepted and then a phone call from the reception refused it. Overall very nice hotel, well located in Albufeira..
The stay was wonderful. Very nice and professional staff. The room (L size) on the 6th floor was great, with great soundproof windows. The bathroom soap/shampoo is the very fancy Rituals brand. But body gel and shampoo bottles seem to be diluted a lot with water, so it is not convenient to shower. The pool area and bar are great with plenty of beds and towels... Too bad i wanted to keep the room an extra 2-hours upon check-out, which was first accepted and then a phone call from the reception refused it. Overall very nice hotel, well located in Albufeira..

An amazing hotel and location .. The hotel is literally in the middle of the busy strip.. but you can choose to or not have busy or chilled days and evenings. Hotel room was clean and up to date too, staff very friendly. The pool area is amazing and the beds are so comfortable and it’s great that there is no bed reserving too. So it was easy to get a bed any time of the day really. Portugal is amazing and the Portuguese are so friendly too. Well recommend :-)

It was the best experience I’ve had in a hotel in a long time, even compared to some of the best chains in the world. The service was so good and personable they all go the extra mile. The room itself was impeccable, clean and comfortable and all details thought of. (I did stay in one of their big-ish rooms) for the price it cannot be beat. The location is amazing, the exit at the bottom is so convenient. Everything you need is a 5 minute walk away tops. If you’re staying on the street on the bars side it might be a little noisy since the party does go until very late on weekends(not sure about weekdays). But if you don’t mind that it’s all good. I was in the third floor directly by the bars and still slept like a baby. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

We were shocked when we arrived at this hotel. The hotel looks nothing like its photos. It’s dirty, smoky, and loud. It states that it’s not non-smoking, but the rooms have ashtrays and they smell of smoke. The rooms sound like you’re in a boom box. When we expressed our concerns and checked out, within an hour, Balram said we could have a refund. Then Hugo, the manager, decided to ghost us and Orbitz. So, they grossly misrepresented their hotel and then provide zero customer service and made zero efforts to make the customers satisfied. I would strongly discourage you from visiting this hotel.

Lovely three night stay in the heart of Albufeira. Hotel is in a great location with a high end finish. Lots of spots for sunbathing and relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and enough to choose from. All staff were super lovely. We ask for a late checked which wasn’t a problem at no extra charge. All in all a great stay would be back!

We fully enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal, the staff all very friendly and accommodating. Location was so convenient, you can come right out onto the street and there’s a convenience store steps from the entrance! The gym is quite minimal, so we went to the Marina du Albufeira and got a week’s pass at the Luxury Fitness there. The pillows are a bit on the small/soft side, but I’m sure they would have given us extras had we asked (we were always just so tired when we got back to the room!) We also found the room quite soundproof, despite being so close to the busy street and pool.

Good hotel very central location. Would be easy to get to by car except for long term construction closing the direct road. An unpleasant surprise, however the staff did their very best to redirect and we made it. Had to find street parking. There is a free parking lot about 10 minutes walk. Hilly.

The property was in an amazing location, everything was extremely walkable and there was so much to do surrounding the property, but one caveat is that the hotel is located directly in the middle of the nightlife and it is extremely loud at night. If i were to go back i would try to request a quieter room. other than this the hotel was great. great amenities, complimentary breakfast, clean.

The location is right in the heart of the entertainment area of Albufeira…if you are there for the nightlife it’s perfect! Rooms are nice, but you can hear the loud music until quite late at night. Breakfast very good, nice to have laundry facilities, staff helpful.

Fantastic modern contemporary hotel, fresh, clean, as many have said this is in a noisy spot but if you prepared for that it's a great location for everything, food lovely, staff great, would be better if there was a kettle in the room rather than a silly little expresso machine.

Hotellet var precis så bra och ännu bättre än bilderna. Allting fungerade perfekt och personalen var särdeles trevlig. Frukosten var modern och varierande med små ändringar varje dag, tex nybakat bröd med persilja och morot eller små brasilianska ostbullar. Det fanns hamam, spa och behandlingar samt sushibar öppen dagligen. På kvällarna öppnade en japansk restaurang på bottenplan. Kaffe och minibar på rummet och vid receptionen. Man kunde få hjälp med olika utflykter av kunnig personal. Det var så bra att ha tvättstuga på hotellet om man vill resa med lättare bagage eller använda igen sitt favoritplagg eller stryka en skjorta. Madrasserna och fatboykuddarna vid poolen var sköna att ligga o sola sig på. En bit bort på gatan finns en mysig restaurang Tres Coroas med fin utsikt och god mat. Annars är man ju mitt i allting så det var bara ett stenkast till alla affärer och restauranger. Vilket också var den enda nackdelen: nedanför hotellkomplexet fanns det de mest högljudda barerna jag nånsin beskådat! De två första nätterna var chockerande för musiken slutade först kl 6 på morgonen. Personalen var tillmötesgående och vi fick byta rum men det hjälpte inte. Men på något konstigt sätt vande vi oss vid detta och de sista fem nätterna sov vi utan öronproppar. Den som är känslig missar tyvärr ett perfekt hotell och får välja ett hotell en bra bit utanför byn. I ALLA hotell som ligger i Albufeira byn hör man detta nattliga infernot tyvärr.
