Hotel Made inn Faro

Prós: Limpeza Contras: Localização , sem elevador, muito ruído a noite pois existem quartos que são alugados por empresas diferentes tipo alojamento local . Irei escolher alternativas diferentes aquando estiver novamente em Faro.

I området var många hus fallfärdiga. På ca 20 min prom. var man i hamnområdet ytterligare 5 min på affärsgatorna. Järnvägstationen låg i närheten ca 10 min. Strax efter fanns en rest. gata med mycket valmöjligheter. Flera bussar passerade hotellet men det fanns ingen hållplats i närheten. Matvaruaffär saknades i området. Parkering är gratis men svårt att hitta plats.

シンプルですが素敵な内装でした。 駅から近く、その点は便利でした。 気になった点は、部屋に冷蔵庫が欲しかったのと、施設にエレベーターがなかった点です。

The room was fine shower lovely although a kettle to make tea and coffee would have good. The hotel was clean and tidy but when waiting for a taxi to go to the airport we saw a cockroach wandering around reception. The hotel is basic and the location does not fill you with confidence if you haven’t been there before.

We checked out early due to the misleading posting of the room itself. When you look at the pictures of the room, not only do the pictures distort the size of the room to make it look bigger than it is, but the pictures also show the room with beachfront views for the room I booked but it's actually not. The hotel itself is centrally located, surrounded by abandoned and under construction buildings, it's also over 10 miles from the beach, which means each picture has been photoshopped to mislead travelers into booking at the hotel. In addition to this we requested additional pillows for my pregnant partner at 1st the front desk was unwilling to accommodate but I was able to speak with someone on staff who was kind enough to accommodate, however the pillow itself had a blood stain on it. The rooms that are considered larger are located on a side of the hotel with no lift, which means you're going to have to go up multiple flights of stairs with luggage just to get to your room. The side with the lift barely works and actually momentarily got stuck on the 4th floor with us inside of it. When expressing my concerns with the front desk on 2 occasions, I was told to contact Expedia about my concerns, when I did they were super helpful but were also unable to reach a resolution with the property management company when they called. When speaking again with the front desk, I was met with a condescending attitude when trying to reach a resolution and have been refused a refund.

Hotel was great. Very eco friendly. Friendly staff. Check in / out was simple. Room was clean but pretty basic but did have a TV although no fridge or safe. Beds were comfy, we asked for extra pillows which we were given. We didn’t have breakfast included but we didn’t go in for breakfast. Check out Chelsea breakfast, it’s about a 10 minute walk. We were also able to leave bags as our flight wasn’t until 8:50pm and check out was noon. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from old town Faro. If you walk down the back streets there are lots of abandoned buildings or buildings being renovated. To be honest, it does look a little war torn Bosnia. With that being said, take a right out of the hotel and a left and you are on the main road to the the town. The town is well connected, there are buses, a train station and even a ferry that goes across to a beach on the other side of the water. We took the bus to Faro from Sevilla for a two night break and then flew back to liverpool from Faro. We didn’t venture that far out as we were only there two days but there’s not loads to do in the place where we were, you’d definitely have to have some plans and just use the hotel as a base. Uber to airport was €6, another bonus!

We stayed for a week in June 2024. Upgraded on arrival from a double room to a suite. Patio door and 3 large windows opened 2 ways, air circulation and light were great, with blackout curtains as well. Newly renovated, sound-proofed, beautiful property, within easy walking distance of everything. Staff was helpful and accommodating, and available until late in the evening. The amenities mention an elevator…we saw no evidence of it. And the room could use another mirror besides the one in the bathroom - mentioned it to management on arrival. The patio had only 1 chair but they gave us another when we asked. Would absolutely stay here again!!

The description is inaccurate, no lift we had to carry 3 large heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Site says it has a bar, incorrect all they have is a vending machine. Outdoor pictures very misleading, surrounded by derelict buildings, did not feel that safe at night walking back to hotel. Rooms are clean and modern but air conditioning took 7 hours to reduce by 3 degrees. Bit warm

For the price paid very disappointing. 1. Terrible smell of drains in barhroom always. This made its way into room some days and was very unpleasant. Despitr informing hotel nothing was done to address this. 2. No staff afrer 11.30pm. Several nights the electricity cut for the entire hotel no aircon, no lights etc. This was only restored when staff came in each morning at 7am. 3. Room was not cleaned on one night of our stay despite receptionist telling us the cleaner was still working and it would be done. When we informed same receptionist no apology or reason offered. Totally over priced for level of service offered. Would not stay again.

The hotel is recently renovated in smoothing colors. Very attractive. It’s located about 10-15 walk from historic center. But the room was small and had a window/door facing an enclosed room with a small sky light which was 4 stories up. I found it claustrophobic. Also area was rundown. I had a car. No hotel parking and available street parking was difficult to find. I would not return.

Very good breakfast compared with other Algarve hotels on this trip. Very close to train station which was super handy in pouring rain. Hotel is super clean and in very good nick.

Really new and modern, comfy bed, v quiet even though next to a road. Breakfast okay but skip the scrambled eggs 1/10. Breads various excellent with cheeses, meats etc Great coffee.We used as flew into Faro and it was a late flight so just overnight there. Only downside was pong drain so after a shower it disappeared . V good staff

Great little hotel! Located close to lots and was exceptionally clean. Staff were lovely, easy check in.

Kamer was heel netjes en schoon. De badkamer was fijn, maar had één nadeel. Zodra twee personen een douche hadden genomen, was er een beetje een rioollucht. Als we na een uitstapje van een paar uur / hele dag terugkwamen, was het gelukkig weer fris. Ik douche zelf heel kort, maar mijn zoon erg lang. Denk dat de afvoer daar niet op berekend was.

The property was clean but they have a bad smell problem coming from the bathroom. I couldn’t sleep due to the smell. The bathroom was basically out of service all the time. I was scared to go in. I complained but they said they were fully booked and had no other room. The room is worth the money due to cleanliness but the smell made me feel like running away. If you are European and are use to sewage smell this will not bother you. Lastly they said don’t smoke in the balcony and everyone was smoking when I stepped out which was annoying.

The property is a comfortable walking distance to both the bus and train stations, and only 10 minutes to the marina. The hotel was clean and well decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The service was generally okay with the young lady in reception and the young lady in the breakfast room both being very friendly. Others, whilst polite, were did not go out of their way to be helpful. The room was small, which was expected, but the mirror was inside the wardrobe and the room was so small you couldn’t fully open the door to use it. There was also no storage space in the bathroom, so toiletries had to be propped up around the sink. The main issue was with the smell in the hotel, there was a constant smell of sewage coming up in the bathroom. I reported it on the first day and they send a cleaner in, which just masked the smell for a few hours, but it came back again the next morning. I’m not sure if this is an issue throughout the hotel, but it was very unpleasant in room 8.

The beds and pillows are very firm so will take a bit of getting used to if you are used to something softer. Breakfast is an option for 9 euros and there is plenty of variety - both hot and cold choices Overall the stay was great and would happily stay again

Hotel rooms are extremely small. There is very little room for luggage. The picture on Expedia do not properly represent the size of the rooms. The good was it was only couple of blocks from train station and about a 5 minute walk to where restaurants and Marina are located.

The only nature light into the bedroom was from a lightwell

The hotel was very clean and modern. We stayed in the large suite with a beautiful view. The hotel has the perfect location and was very convenient to get to the downtown area and bus/train station.

L’hôtel est très propre et le personnel très accueillant et aimable. Or les photos sont trompeuse, on s’attend à un hôtel bord de mer sauf qu’il y a un parc naturel donc ça n’est pas bord de mer. Des chambres ont une vue sur d’autres chambres en face. Si vous êtes au premier ou deuxième étage ce n’est pas forcément l’idéale si on veut de l’intimité. On peut voir la chambre de tout le monde par le balcon. C’est dommage car c’est un très bon hôtel, mais les photos nous font tellement rêver que lorsqu’on arrive, on déchante totalement !

Clean rooms but very small. No coffee/tea facilities. No full length mirror or chair. Had to ask for extra hangers as only 3 in wardrobe for 2 people. Staff quite nice

Very small room, the double room, with no space for clothes more than small sideboard next to bed. No fridge either! Room is a bed and that's it. Nice shower though.

Exceptionally clean, small hotel with 4 block flat walk to hotel from bus and train station and the old town/ harbor area. Modern, Double rooms are small but more than adequate. AC is loud, and you can hear people closing doors, but didn’t bother me- just an observation. Easy bus line 16 to this area from airport. Easy walk to harbor and restaurants and shopping/. 4 ish blocks toward harbor. Breakfast looked fine. Reception is efficient. Would stay here again.

Staff was really friendly and helpful… Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great. If you have a room on the ground floor, especially room number one, it is as if you were sleeping outside…. I would go back but on a different floor

Forfærdelige værelser nr 1, 2 og 3. De et lige ved elevatoren, alle går forbi, snakker hæjt , råber. Rengørings lokale er lige ved siden af rummene. De larmer. Pøreceptionen er på samme etage uden dør til gangen. Alle kan høres. Masser af larm. Forfærdeligt stue etage

There are a lot of places to stay in Faro, but I’ll choose Made Inn again for my next stay. The location is an easy 5 minute walk to the train, buses, city center and Marina. But I liked that it was not right in the center, because it’s nice to have some quiet when ready to sleep. The entire place has been tastefully renovated, and I personally liked the flooring, tile, fixtures, furnishings. Even the pillows were more comfortable to me, than any I’d had at other hotels on this vacation. The breakfast was excellent. I appreciated that the owner was on site during the day, and you could feel the pride he had in the Inn he has created. The place was absolutely and totally clean as new. I got a welcome email before arriving, to help the hotel best prepare for my arrival, and I don’t recall ever having that from any other hotel. A real effort from every staff member to see to it that my stay was excellent. I only wish I had more time there, but I’ll be back.

Amazing customer service and lovely lady on reception.

After initial concern re procedure for late checkin (slow response to messages) caused stress due to delay at passport control. Despite this, on calling reception, i had excellent clear service. Clean modern room. Good breakfast. Near old town, don't be put off by the areas 'old town' buildings. Would come again

Staff incredibly rude. We informed them on our booking that we would be checking out at 6 am and Beatriz confirmed that we could pick up a breakfast pack at reception the night before. However, this was not available to us and we got nothing despite paying for bed and breakfast. We were offered milk ( note it was 28 degrees) and an apple , this was after me asking about our breakfast. The reception and manager so rude . Hotel is functional but soulless . Def better options in Faro, which are more unique . Would not stay again

Nous n'avons pas pris le déjeuner. Tout était parfait. Chambre très propre et confortable. Nous avons tout visité à pied. À 5 minutes de la gare ferroviaire. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Close to train station and walkable to all sites. Clean and felt safe walking at night although area around by street view had made me a bit wary of the area but was unfounded.

This hotel was great! Location was excellent and the daily breakfast (included) was extremely good (pasteis de nata were the best)! The property was a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 12 minute walk to the city center! Super convenient!

Great location, close to the old town, harbour, bus and train stations. Friendly staff, clean and good choice in breakfast bar. Room was small, but adequate with a lovely bathroom. Only missed that there was no kettle for tea/coffee making in the room. First impression is that the road is busy, but needn’t have worried, as sound insulation was good.
