Aprilis Deluxe Hotel

Bel hôtel (attention il y a 3 hotels aprilis dans la zone, notez bien que celui-ci est le deluxe). Très bien situé, proche des célèbres mosquées Aya Sophia, SultanAhmet et le grand bazaar. Tout est accessible facilement à pied. L'hôtel est propre, petit déjeuner correct, personnel très agréable. Pour la chambre, nous avons été un petit peu déçu, nous nous attentions à des chambres plus spacieuses. Elles sont aussi mal insonorisées (côté rue on entendait les klaxons le matin, le bruit des voitures, et même des gens parler depuis le couloir). Dommage que le SPA soit payant en supplément, nous pensions que c'était inclus dans le prix de la chambre, nous n'en avons donc pas profité.

We [famnily of 4] stayed in Istanbul for a 4 day city break at Aprilis Deluxe in 2 rooms. We found the rooms a little on the small side but perfectly adequate for our needs. The interiors and bathrooms are modern and nicely done. This is a historic property, not a purpose built hotel, so the layout is not all straight lines, etc. Facilities in the hotel are limited. There is a rooftop terrace/bar area, but the views are non-existent. I understand there's a small gym but I did not use it. Breakfast was adequate with a range of breads and a selection of Turkish breakfast dishes. There are 3 Aprilis hotels all close together, so make sure you have the correct name and address to give to your taxi driver. The location in Sultanahmet/Fatih is ideal. Walkable to all the major attractions - Blue mosque, Aya Sofia, grand bazaar, Topkapi, etc. Nearest tram station a 5 min walk up the hill to access public transport network. Also, there is a large selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and supermakets in the area for meals and small purchases like fruit and water. Staff [reception, restaurant, housekeeping] were all very helpful and always available. In summary, a great hotel for a city break where you are more interested in seeing the city than staying in the hotel to enjoy the facilities.

there was no roof top bar! And the transport, organised with the hotel, from the airport to the hotel was chaotic!!

The hotel and staff were wonderful! We arrived very early and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We found it was easy to walk to all the main attractions with a lsrge selection if eateries very close. The hotel itself was clean and had great facilities - we used the gym each morning of our stay. It was small but had a good selection of equipment and was always clean. The breakfasts were great with a huge selection to cover all tastes. A very enjoyable stay.

Great location approx 8 min walk towards the Blue Mosque. Staff at Front desk super helpful and were very informative. They welcomed you with Turkish tea and a discussed options of various sight seeing areas that would be of interest. Hotel has gym, sauna and Hammam along with car parking. Original room provided was small but was upgraded to a bigger room. Nothing felt too much for the front desk and were always willing to help with a smile on their faces.

Excellant hotel .Within walking distance of the major attractions, but lstanbul is very hilly and beware the hotel half way up a very steep one with difficult pavements and very heavy traffic. The top of the hill is a little more on the flat soif you have walking difficulties perhaps the sister hotel would be better. The staff in both are some of the kindest we have ever met so the Apryllis group are recommended. The rooms are not big but very clean with comfortable beds. Good air conditioning. However we are english and the breakfast for us was very poor. Basic same every day with no replacement if you are late risers as we are.. Salad bar , boiled egg , chips , plain lumpy horrible yogurt. If you are a breakfast person you will be disappointed. The staff in the breakfast room are realy lovely and never stop cleaning. Very good cofee machine. They have a nice rooftop bar ,one night they had belly dancing but we missed because no one told us about it and there were no signs. A shame as l am sure it woud have been fun. The hotel can help you with booking all trips , taxi entrace tickets. It is the staff who make the place so good

Personnel aux petits soins avec nous. Très bien situé et près de tout à pied. Nous avons quelques excursions avec l’hôtel et l’organisation est parfaite. Prise en charge à l’hôtel ainsi que le retour, cela facilite et sauve du temps. Nous avons également essayé le sauna, Harman et massage de l’hôtel. Je le recommande !

The hotel itself is wonderful, clean and modern. The people at reception and the entire staff are very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and pleasant, however the beds were really tiny. The breakfast was amazing offering such a wide variety of foods, including traditional and international fare. The hotel offers paid valey parking which is 15 euros per day. Only one thing to mention about the area around. There was a very weird and unpleasant pungeant smell coming right next to the hotel. You can feel it when you are on the street, or when you are at the terrace at the top of the hotel. Not sure where this smell was coming from, but the hotel was trying really hard to mask it with air freshenersh all over the hallways and the lobby. And yet, even inside the room, traces of it could be felt. The location of the hotel is very comvenient, in the heart of th ehistoric city, just 10 minutes walk to major places of interest.

Lovely hotel and staff very friendly. Do not stay in the lower bedrooms located on the reception level as you are above the restaurant and all you can hear is chairs being dragged on the floor when people go to get their breakfast from 730am !! Roof bar is amazing.

Wir reisen schon seit vielen Jahren regelmäßig nach Istanbul und haben schon viele Hotels besucht. Das Aprilis Deluxe Hotel ist im Vergleich dazu hervorragend. Ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal in allen Bereichen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ausreichend groß, sehr modern und neuwertig. Hoher Wasserdruck in der großen Dusche, was in der Türkei keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist, und alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Frühstück umfangreich und frische Produkte. Tolle Lage in fußläufiger Entfernung zu allen relevanten Sehenswürdigkeiten und zur Straßenbahn. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Fairly clean hotel although our room smelt damp. When we told the hotel they told us it was because the air conditioning wasn’t on yet in the room. The smell did reduce when we turned on the air conditioning but this meant every time we got back to our room the first 10 minutes it smelt musty Separately, I always got the feeling the hotel was trying to refer me to do things (eg activities, tours, booking a taxi, shopping through them) to get a commission. A few examples: 1. When I arrived at the hotel they asked what I had booked. I told them I had a free walking tour and they asked if I could cancel it and I should do their paid tour instead. They also gave me a lot of pamphlets for other tours - a boat tour that was more expensive than others I found online (those had great ratings), a massage which was much more expensive than regular hammams, etc. 2. The manager asked me if I was interested in buying rugs and he insisted on bringing me to his “trusted source”. He didn’t offer to give me the address but insisted on coming with me. I suspect to get a referral fee 3. When we were leaving to the airport they offered to get a taxi when they I saw I was ordering an Uber. They said it was 1300TL but after I booked they told me the price wasn’t possible. Overall a cleanish hotel but service was lacklustre and I felt like they were trying to get more money from me. Not a good experience. I should be able to trust my hotel to have my best interests at heart not their wallet!

Hallo miteinander, wir hatten einen 5 tägigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Hotel ist sehr Zentral gelegen und alles ist sehr gut fußläufig erreichbar. Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Bei der Rückreise haben wir uns einen Shuttel über das Hotel gebucht. Mit 50€ recht teuer. Bei Ankunft lag eine Nuss in einer Ecke vom Zimmer. Diese lag auch bei der Abreise an der gleichen Stelle daher vermute ich das die Zimmer nicht so gut sauber gemacht werden. Frühstück ist wirklich sehr schlecht, da können wir uns nur den anderen Bewertungen anschließen. Zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung lag der Preis pro Nacht bei ca. 110€. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok aber wenn eine Woche geplant ist nicht empfehlenswert.

Séjour parfait! - Accueil excellent et professionnel; - Personnels de salle très agréables et souriants (petit déjeuner); - Femmes de ménage discrètes et gentilles. L’hôtel est extrêmement propre (les chambres inclues), il y a un bar au dernier étage sur une terrasse avec vue sur la mer. Beaucoup de choix au petit déjeuner (continental et turc) et tout y était frais. Les chambres sont modernes, les lits et oreillers confortables, double vitrage. Hôtel très bien placé en plein coeur du quartier Sultanhamet, à quelques minutes à pied de la mosquée bleue. On y de très nombreux restaurants autour également. Nous recommandons ++

Personnel accueillant et au petit soin. Chambre propre et bien équipée. Seul bemol au niveau de la chambre: l'odeur d'égouts de la salle de bain.

The hotel was excellent. The Staff went above and beyond to help you around the city. Staff members actually walked us over to restaurants. Rooms were clean and very nice. They also set us up for pick up from port and then the next day set us up for airport drop off. Definitely recommend.

Great hotel, good cleaning, wonderful staff.

Really enjoyed my time at this hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful when checking in and this continued throughout my stay. Asking for recommendations for places to eat and tours etc, they were always helpful here too. Being in the old town rooms can be quiet small, but my room was a decent size and very clean. The room had all the amenities that I would expect, the bed was comfortable and really appreciated having a sofa in the room too. There was a modern TV which had the popular streaming apps such as netflix, youtube, disney which I didn't use, but that was a nice touch. The bathroom was a touch dated, but no really an issue I rarely heard any street noise, and bar a door slam once or twice the hotel was nice and quiet. There were lots of restaurants and shops around which is great, the tram stop Camberlitas is a short 5 minute walk away (albeit uphill) and it's a 10 minute walk or so from the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc. Never once did I feel unsafe walking around in the evenings. There were lots of options at breakfast, most not to my tastes but what I tried was OK.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well kept. The location is good, but on the edge of the tourist area. It’s safe but on the walk to the Grand Bazaar there were streets that were littered with trash.

Bon emplacement de l’Hotel. Personnel sympa et serviable. Petit dej très bien. 2 bémols: la qualité de la literie, trop mou a mon goût, mais surtout l’insonorisation des chambres. On entend bien ce qui se passe dans la rue et les voisins. Ca nous a pourri nos nuits.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very well located for the old town. Breakfast was adequate. We had one of the bigger rooms and it was spacious. However the duvet was too small for the bed and the lighting wasn't great and very confusing and it was difficult to have just a bedside light on to read. We booked transfers through the hotel and sadly our car was late/didn't arrive due to rain and traffic. The hotel reception eventually booked us a normal taxi and covered the cost which was great service. Despite this we were very stressed as we were very late getting to the airport. Not sure I'd use the transfer service again

The room was excellent, except for the noise from the patio / bar. The breakfast was good, but not too. Receptionist spoke English well which was rather a surprise given the overall scenario on the streets. Istambul food prices too touristic though.

A small hotel that sits in an ideal location, 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, 5 minute walk to the main street where youll find all the restaurants and tram service and 10 minutes to the Grand Bazar. Hotel staff were friendly. Room wasnt very spacious but comfortable and modern in design. Breakfast isn't great so I would recommend going out for breakfast. The A/C unit runs on a central system that detects temperature outside which means, when its cold it will blast hot air into the room and when its hot it will blast cold air. This cannot be adjusted no matter hard u try. I mentioned this to staff at the concierge but they explained how the system works and unfortunately could not help. I also booked a double room with a king size bed, to my displeasure it was 2 single beds pushed together. Luckily this was sorted eventually with a cover that connects the 2 mattresses together. Other than that, its affordable and modern. Didnt spend much time in the hotel so it was more than enough. Perfect for couples who are looking to spend their days roaming the city and come back to a comfortable room.

In den ersten Tagen funktioniere das WLAN nicht. In einer Stadt wie Istanbul ist WLAN als Tourist essenziell und wir haben extra darauf geachtet, ein modernes Hotel mit funktionierenden WLAN auszuwählen. Technische Probleme können vorkommen, allerdings wäre eine Entschädigung und Information angemessen gewesen. Lautstärke von den lauten Straßen wurde gut isoliert, allerdings sind die Zimmer an sich sehr hellhörig, sodass man die anderen Gäste mitbekommt. Der groß angepriesene Spa Bereich ist mit nicht wenig Kosten verbunden, das hätte in der Expedia Vorschau erwähnt werden sollen. Auch dies war ein weiterer Grund, wieso wir uns für die Expedia Buchung entschieden haben.

I wish I could give a better rating for this property because the staff was nice and friendly. I booked a twin room intentionally because I wanted 2 beds, with enough space, but I got stuffed into an almost jail cell with barely any space! I am a gold level at Expedia which is how I booked the room and usually I get upgraded automatically. But this time, even after requesting, I pretty much got downgraded into a smaller room, although I paid higher. The only thing that makes me give a better than average rating is the friendly staff.

The rooms are smaller than what I expected from the photos and the property seems a little old. But I thought it was a nice hotel. Service was nice and it wasn’t as loud for being so central. Location is probably perfect for anyone coming here as a tourist.

Outstanding experience. Stayed at hotel twice with friends. Multilingual staff offered exemplary services from making recommendations to getting us short notice reservations at a fully booked restaurant. Arranged for private tour and dinner reservations for an entertainment/ evening dinner Bosphorus cruise. Used their recommended airport car service. Highly recommend to travellers.

Overall you feel safe at the hotel. Staff are very helpful although their level of English needs to improve so that they may provide guests with good general information. Nevertheless, they were ALWAYS ready to help you which was very much appreciated. We didn’t like the shuttle taxis to and from the airport. We could not communicate with the drivers because they did not speak any English. In addition, we believe we paid €15 above what we learnt that other travellers had paid for each journey and moreover, the cars were not clean.

We really enjoyed the Hotel and Staff when we checked in. We had an early departure which they handled well. We were promised breakfast sandwiches for our early departure which never happened. Also, we received a recommendation for a rooftop restaurant with reasonable prices. Out of our 2 week trip in 6 different countries, it was the by far the worst and most expensive meal we've had. It was also the one which we barely had any Alcohol. We kinda felt like we received " Special" American prices.

Pros: Good location Cons: The air condition did not work and we were sweating in the room, when we reported it someone came and said they would check it later. They never got back to me, when I departed I complained they claimed they checked it and nothing was wrong. I pre-booked a transfer, they never advised I could not use a credit card until the day of the transfer and we had to scramble for a large amount of cash. They should have advised in advance.

Service was excellent. The staff was very helpful in guiding you around Istanbul, offering tours, suggestions, and assistance in transportation. The room was very nice and a decent size especially for Europe. Hotel is centrally located to all major attractions. And is approximately 1.5 km from the ferry that can take you across the Bosphorous.

The hotel was clean and well run. They even gave us sandwiches to take with us to the airport. I would have given 5 stars were it not for an encounter we had with one of the desk clerks. We wanted to cancel a tour that the hotel had booked and he immediately got angry and raised his voice. He told us they had so many stars on Google and our business wasn’t at the top of their minds. In other words, we don’t care about your business. When the same clerk checked us out, he was quite rude and barely spoke. I didn’t understand the anger in response to a tour we were paying for and wanted to cancel. His attitude was very unprofessional and as much as I liked the hotel, I’d rather spend my money where it’s appreciated. This is my second visit to Istanbul and not likely to be my last. Thankfully, this is not the only hotel in town.

We had issues with noise coming from a conveyer, but we were moved rooms. They dealt with this issue professionally and with due care. After this small hiccup our stay was excellent. Cleaning staff were polite and took great attention to detail. Breakfast was simply exquisite. The staff were helpful with directions and recommendations. Excellent stay, thank you Aprilis Deluxe!!!

The hotel was easy reach of the major sites. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Only thing I could fault was blanket wasn’t soft and pillow was too firm for me. Did a boat trip (3hr one) via hotel and it was great, really enjoyed it and our stay in Istanbul.

Very good option for exploring Sultanahmet area, all major attractions are in walking distance. Also very close to tram stop which is very useful to go to other areas. A lot of options of restaurants around the hotel. The room I got was a little smaller than I expected, for 2 person felt a bit crammed. One thing to note is that this hotel is located in a slightly hilly area, so walking will be slightly more effort than on on the plain.

Sehr zentral gelegen, alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr nah. Da an einer sehr verkehrsreichen Straße platziert, ist es auch in der Nacht sehr laut. Das ist aber sehr große Stadt. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und hilfsbereit.

Walkable but steep neighborhood. Comfortable beds and great service. Breakfast was very nice. Close to a lot of tourist sites the old part of Istanbul. Be prepared though to be woken up early in the morning by chanting from nearby mosque :)

I don’t know how this hotel has such a high rating. We found the bed in our room to be small and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows and mattress were very firm and we only managed to sleep a few hours. The mattress was uneven and slopes to each side of the bed. We went downstairs at around 3am to request soft pillows but they were cheap and plasticky. I am 5’8 and my toes reached the end of the bed. The breakfast was basic and by the time we got downstairs at 9:45am most of it had gone. The staff were kind and allowed us to cancel our booking after one night without penalty. They said we wouldn’t find a better hotel in the area and that other hotels were dirty. We moved to the Hilton old town which was the same price and much better.

I absolutely love the breakfast options, the staff were super helpful, particularly Andrees in the kitchen, a big hug from me to her . If I visit Istanbul again, I will be staying there.

Very friendly and helpful staff in an excellent location: just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. Fabulous breakfast buffet with a range of Turkish salad options etc. - and a lovely roof terrace where we could enjoy the sunshine in the late afternoon and look out over the sea. Only (small) problem was that the single beds were a bit narrow! All in, extremely good value.

I chose a non-smoking room but somehow, I could still smell cigarettes in the room. The breakfast was delicious with many options. However, the juices were watered down.
