Garden Inn & Suites Oakland Airport

The pictures gave me more "nice hotel" expectations, so when we pulled into the parking lot, I was, like, "Uhm? Are we at the right place?" However, it certainly got the job done for a good price! This hotel has more of a motel feel, but it's so close to the airport, and it was a good price for a last-minute booking. AND the bed was comfortable and the water was hot (after you gave it a minute). Good value for a decent night's sleep and a free, 5-min shuttle to OAK airport. If you're trying to impress your friends, maybe pick another place. But, I would totally stay here again. Hope that helps!

Safe parking.Aged property,no amenities,needs a lot of TLC

We were only there at night, so cannot comment on the grounds. The floor in our first floor room was literally falling apart. Shouting, sticky, and dirty, I don’t know how you would clean the floor due to its poor condition. The shower was tiny and uncomfortable. They did not even give us a plastic drinking cup.

Garden Inn and Suites is an older hotel that has not been updated in a while. However, our room was clean, had a flat screen tv, mini fridge, and microwave. Bathroom was clean and linen’s (bath towels and bed sheets) were extremely soft and fresh. Security gates to the hotel guest area were either propped open or did t require a key to get in. We needed the hotel to be able to sleep and shower. It fit our needs perfectly.

Friendly, helpful staff. Noisy location but convenient for the airport. No cafes or restaurants nearby.
