Amazing staff very professional all around with excellent menus prepared daily. Locked in as my favorite resort and highly recommend anyone considering a visit to Samaná. Amazing beach, great pools and fun entertainment.

The food was really bad, bad quality and few choices. Absolutely no entertainment, the big pool had a nasty chlorine smell, we never used it. The hotel is still under construction. The only good thing was the beach and the room.

Room was with beautiful ocean view, clean and comfy. The resort staff is very friendly.The options of food were great. The beach is beautiful and very clean. There were lots of corrals not far from the beach for nice snorkeling. However, I suggest to wear special costumes. In some places waters are shallow, and there are lots of sea urchins. Great place for kids. Amazing excursions!

The staff at Wyndham Alltra Hotel is super friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms are modern and clean, offering a comfortable stay. The food is 10/10, with a variety of international cuisines and typical dishes from the Dominican Republic available during breakfast and lunch. Dinner is served a la carte, rotating restaurants each day, and it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. However, there are a few reasons for my 3-star rating: 1. **No Night Entertainment**: If you're looking for a lively night scene, this hotel might not be for you. There's no entertainment at night, which can be a downside for those wanting some evening activities. 2. **Limited Bar Options**: The main bar at the pool is open until 11 PM but doesn’t offer premium liquor. This is typical for many hotel chains, but it was still a bit disappointing not to have a selection of spirits to choose from. 3. **Limited Dining Options**: While breakfast and lunch offer great variety, there’s no buffet for dinner. The a la carte system can be inconvenient as it’s on a first-come, first-served basis, which might not suit everyone’s dining preferences. 4. **Early Snack Bar Closure**: The snack bar closes at 6 PM, limiting options for a quick bite in the evening. 5. **Short Stay Recommendation**: The hotel is perfect to disconnect and recharge, but in my opinion, it’s best for a stay of no more than

They need more night life everything closes at 11pm.A night club so people can dance.

The property was beautiful, there were only 2 restaurants open out of the 4 or 5 restaurants they have listed. The evening activities were minimal during the month of April. The beach was gorgeous and the water was so clear. The property was well kept and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice , the staff are very friendly, but very poor in activities. My family and I were bored at all while we stayed. I didn't like this whynhand resort , I would rather to stay at the whynhand resort in las terrenas...

The property is on renovation . Poor hot water on bathroom. Espectacular Frontdesk Personal in special Reynaldo and Ricardo at The restaurant’s.

Pool was clean and taken care of.

The toilet did not looked clean when we got there, I never mentioned it. They don’t have after hour food, so if you’re hungry yes you would have to go outside. The water was out for hours on the day we were leaving. Didn’t really have night entertainment like other resorts. It’s a little outdated for its cost.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, good food and lots of water options. Room we stayed in did have a faulty flusher on the toilet and a bad small on and off but that didn’t matter too much because we were hardly in the room. It’s so beautiful and I would highly recommend!!

Limpia y en condiciones

La propiedad está limpia,las habitaciones son amplias,los trabajadores son amistosos,la playa está buena PERO LA COMIDA ES PÉSIMA.En Travelocity dice q tiene 4 o 6 restaurantes y TODOS ESTÁN CERRADOS.Fuimos un grupo de 16 personas,un niño de 6 años (alérgico)tuvo q comer arroz blanco solamente en dos ocasiones porque no había pollo.Daniel tuvo q tomar un taxi x $30 para salir y comprar un pernil de cerdo asado en $50 ,también compró queso blanco enfrente del hotel,es vergonzoso,el menú en el buffet en la cena es limitado (5-6 platos),la elaboración inadecuada,las frutas no siempre son frescas,ensaladas escasas,panes viejos,dulces llenos de moscas .Hable con el administrador WILSON ,dijo q están en reparación,q había muy pocos clientes,cosa q NO ES MI ASUNTO,no me importa,y me ofrecieron un paquete de bebidas premium,yo le dije q eso no era la solución,q me devolviera el $ para abandonar la instalación ya q no estaba preparada para ofrecer servicios e hizo caso omiso,le manifesté el descontento del grupo por la falta de comida y q me sentía ENGAÑADA Y ESTAFADA .Yo he visitado este país en más de 10 ocasiones y es la primera vez que me sucede semejante TRAGEDIA,esta mala experiencia no quisiera que otra persona la viviera .EVITE SER ESTAFADO .ESTE HOTEL NO TIENE CONDICIONES PARA ESTAR FUNCIONANDO DEBIDO A QUE LA COMIDA ES POBRE

In love , this is my second time staying at Wyndham altra Samaná and I love it , it is so clean , the staff is very friendly and the pools are amazing

Staff friendly, beds good, property nice, food options not to my linking but cleaning of the rooms needs to be improved - they did not clean properly.

Lo que más me gustó fue la cava de la foto que acabo de poner 😅 aparte de eso la higiene de la habitación es top, el acceso es bien fácil pero hay mucha seguridad, encontramos parqueo rápido, la comida es buena, les recomiendo las pastas que hacen al momento, los omelettes y los pescados al momento, había entretenimiento pero sinceramente la playa estaba tan linda que preferimos quedarnos sentados mirando la playa. No hay sargazo y la arena es super fina. Nos encantó y Dios mediante volvemos, Reynaldo el del stand del lobby fue muy amable también.

We had a great time!! The staff was exceptional. The property and beach is like nothing I have ever seen. The food was good. The only problem that we encountered was with the electricity in our room and around the property. We couldn’t plug things in the bathroom because it was cause for the room to lose electricity. Thankfully the breaker box was inside our room and was easily restored. Other than that (which I hope they fix) it was great! Shout out to the employees who made it a great experience.

Misled by Expedia with a Punta Cana vacation package that was not in Punta Cana. Both parties blamed each other. Needless to say, there was no relocation to the same brand Punta Cana hotel. No one would cover the huge additional transportation costs, removing over ten hours of vacation time. The hotel was a five-hour drive from the airport each way. The hotel location was beautiful. The rooms were adequate. The food was okay, definitely not what was expected. It was advertised as having five dining venues, but one was fully closed. The Italian and Local fare restaurants were only open on alternate days and the buffet was mostly local fare. The last one more of a lunch spot and not open for dinner had advertised salads, pizzas, burgers, and gyros. It only had pizza and burgers. A little disappointed in the first trip to the DR.

I spent a week a week on this resort. big issue was the A/C went out for the last four days of seven I was there. Management neglect it the problem resulting customers leaving the resort; management keep saying that they were working on it. But no solution or options were offered. I feel bad because it's a nice location. But this experience was horrible. at night my room temperature reach to 90 F. again poor management

This cozy resort is beautifully tucked between the lush mountains of Samaná and the stunning shores of Las Galeras Beach. The rooms, grounds, and pool areas were all well maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The buffet could benefit from more variety, especially for guests staying multiple days. Likewise, the bars would be more appealing if they featured a broader selection of well-known liquors and highlighted more of the exceptional local rum brands—some of which truly rival the best. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, adding a warm touch to the overall experience. If I could rate it 3.5 stars, I would. Since that’s not an option, I settled on 3—but with just a few thoughtful upgrades, this property could easily reach 4.5 stars. It clearly has great bones, and like many places still recovering post-pandemic, a little investment could go a long way.

The property's rooms were large and spacious and the ground was well kept. Professional staff always willing to help. Very limited food selection with no taste. The property has 4-5 restaurants but only 1 was open. I'll only comeback here if I was on a limited budget.

Alltra Samana is a paradise. Our family and some friends, spend 4days at this beautiful resort . The resort was recently renovated. As soon as we got to the reception Juan Carlos Alvarez gave us a room upgrade to a gorgeous room with a jacuzzi. All the staff was very attentive and the white sand beach was astonished.

More shampoo and conditioner was needed in the room. Also took for ever and multiple calls to the front desk to bring items to room. However the 1st night they were quick in bring extra towels to the room. Wish more then one restaurant was available to dine in. Everything else was great.

En el chequeo llegamos a las 2 se que el chequeo era a las 3 bueno fuimos a comer nos dijeron que regresaramos a las 3 lo cual isimos llegaron 2 autobuses y empesaron a atenderlos a ellosberan las 3.25 y no nos davan la avitasion les dije que porque si llegamos 1.horay 25 minutos antes que ellos no nos atienden primero despues mire qie nos cambiaron la abitasion nos tocava en las 11 abajo y nos dieron en la 12 14 arriva yo le reclame y me dijo que esa mejor yo se que no era asi porque yo la elegi

Todo bien! La propiedad muy bonita solo un gran detalle que no estaba abiertos todos los restaurantes por la poca ocupación en el resort. Entendemos que en temporada baja tal ves no sea redituable dar todos los servicios, pero lo deberían anticipar y uno decide si lo toma o lo deja. Y por otro lado los meseros como que están de malas con su trabajo. Todos los demás muy amables pero en el restaurante eso sí nos desagradó atienden de malas!

El hotel es bonito pero la atención de los que atienden en los bares y restaurantes es PÉSIMA, no tienen la menor idea de cómo tratar al turista, se limitan a lo Mínimo y por lo general atienden de mala gana. Sinceramente no volvería, lástima porque es bonito

Beautiful setting and beach!

Es un hotel sumamente tranquilo lejos de bullucios un lugar para descansar lejos de todo.

The beach on this property was the most beautiful I've seen! It is protected by a reef further out from the shore so immediate beach area is calm and quite - no waves and perfect for snorkeling. Beautiful fish and sea turtles!

Beautiful place the beach is beautiful the place is clean the service is amazing I really recommend but don’t go looking for Bávaros type of night ideal to rest families

Service and attention was great. It was clean and organized but the fun in its majority was not good. Some plates were ok but food lacked flavor and chicken was raw and steak was left red when I told the cook to cook it all the way

Das Restaurant war für all inclusive nicht schlecht, leider waren aber alle anderen Restaurants geschlossen, dafür wurden z.t. gute a la carte optionen geboten. Dennoch würde ich das gerne vor der Anreise wissen

Todo el personal en el hotel excelente un trato espectacular las instalaciones bellas y muy bien cuidadas mucha seguridad Pero la comida de baja calidad y sin mucha variedad en desayuno almuerzo y comida eso es algo en lo que tienen q mejorar grandemente

Beach it's great-property it's very nice-buildings are great The FOOD AND RESTAURANTS ARE AWFUL-STAFF NOT so great I stayed before in other ALL INCLUSIVE RESORTS AT BAVARO & PUNTA CANA & PAY much less p/night than ALTRA ALTRA has NOT COMPARISSON AT ALL with them What was BAD They ONLY gave us 1 room key for 2 people ENTRETAIMENT=ZERO-NO SHOWS or anything FOOD TERRIBLE selection very few selections of dishes 5or 6 ONLY A la CARTE restaurants are awful bad quality food no taste &Few selections Examples First day we arrived at 3 pm AFTER lunch hour so until dinner there was ONLY 1 option by the beach where they ONLY serve PIZZA-BURGERS-HOT DOGS&QUESADILLAS We order 1 pizza(SORRY we don't have pizza)We order burger with fries & hot dog(SORRY we do NOT have MUSTARD)We order regular pepsi &PEPSI ZERO(SORRY we do NOT have regular Pepsi) with LEMON(SORRY WE DONT HAVE LEMON)We asked for AVOCADO(SORRY WE DO NOT HAVE AVOCADO) Ok we thought it's SATURDAY MAYBE they run out WELL NO, WE STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS THEY NEVER GOT THE REGULAR PEPSI NEITHER THE MUSTARD. Other day even they close 6 pm at 5:45 WE WERE DENIED SERVICE MAIN BUFFET BREAKFAST LUNCH & DINNER Orange juice was WATER WITH COLOR not REAL ORANGES 1 night my wife got a hot tea and was walking out of the restaurant with it She was stopped at the door telling her she can NOT leave with the TEA CUP They offered her a THIN PLASTIC CUP Dinner was until 10:30 pm, at 8:45 BOLONESA sauce for the pasta WAS finished 3 times in 5 days

Great resort remodel and some building still under restoration, the beach is amazing, clean, calm and beautiful, the pools were great too. We hated the food and the very limited options, they are trying to save money on not providing almost no protein only carbs and cheap food, they won’t accommodate allergies so if you have an allergy stay away, the chef is horrible so the very limited, we would not be back, it’s sad because we loved the beach.
