Amazing hotel in an amazing location for travelling around the Peaks. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with enough space. The Wadobi is perfect for cleaning up the dogs who were made as welcome as ourselves. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely modern hotel suited for a holiday with my dog. We have stayed in the Scarborough hotel as well and this is soo much more modern. We had pizza in the restaurant of the hotel which was okay. The ambience of the restaurant feels quite flat. Overall a lovely stay with great perks of free hot drinks and the dog grooming station. Located in a great area in the peaks.

Large rooms very clean considering it’s a dog friendly hotel quite quirky also a great touch having a room to relax in with free tea n coffee n cakes plenty of seating with a few game

Sadly, the EV chargers didn't work, and every staff member under the age of 25 looked like they really didn't want to be there. It took the shine off our dinner, bearing in mind we are only 27 and 28, and have worked similar jobs ourselves - but it was very noticeable and off-putting. Loved the dog friendliness of the place and how accommodating it was to outdoorsy folk. Will come back for sure.

Great dog friendly hotel and the staff are very helpful. You can even sit and enjoy a meal in the restaurant along with your dog. The rooms are very clean and modern with lovely designer touches throughout the room, bathroom, and hotel. Parking facilities are also great. The scenery is amazing with lot's of places to visit, and beautiful villages around the area. We enjoyed visiting the caverns and outdoor swimming pool which are a 10min drive from the hotel either way. We also took a trip to Bakewell and had a lovely time there too.

Pros: -Cool decor -Good quality facilities -Good location -Very clean -Able to check in early -Chilled atmosphere Cons: -No aircon -Loud traffic throughout night as window needed to be open (30° heat, with only a small fan) -Poor selection of drinks in bar -Boil own eggs at breakfast weren't in hot enough water, after 7 mins egg was still almost raw. -Poor breakfast selection, wasn't expecting a full english but there was no sauces or hot chocolate.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Major issue is that the property is advertised with electric parking and this is currently not working, and has not been for sometime as I was advised. They have changed supplier twice since installing and they are still not working.

First time staying at the Bike and Boot. Really impressed. Vibe is kind of youth hostelly but in a very good way. Great retreat room with free coffee and tea plus cake for post walk or post ride. Rooms were great as were all the staff. Only slight criticism was the breakfast. It was fine but not included in our room rate so the £12 per person charge was high. Location was great for walks and rides. Overall though, a great place to stop in the Peak District.

My husband and I enjoyed 1 night trip with our puppy and had a really lovely stay. We booked a large room as I wanted to make sure there was enough space for her crate and it was the first time we had taken her away over night. The room was more than. Big enough for us and our puppy, we would definitely stay again but probably go the room a size down next time. The bedroom and bed were comfortable and clean, although it was a little bit warm even with the windows open. We enjoyed breakfast, the complimentary afternoon cake and tea and had our evening meal there too. There was lots of space in Bareca so wasn’t too worried about the dog getting in the way, too close to others or tripping anyone up. There was an area at the front to exercise and toilet your dog. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite and loved saying hello to our puppy. Dog friendly doesn’t go far enough. We’d love to visit again in the future and would recommend to anyone with or without a dog.

Second time we stayed and it’s comfortable and convenient and plenty of room. It’s ultra dog friendly which is ideal too. It’s let down by the cleanliness which was also apparent on our last visit. The restaurant skirtings are not clean the edges are dusty , the room are also the same the main part of the room is hoovered and cleaned but edges and under items are not . The bathroom corners and edges were very dirty and so was the room. We made the staff aware in the first day our fridge was not working and the free milk was not cold, but this was not addressed. We followed this up on the second day but still it was not fix only to be told most of the fridge’s in the hotels don’t work!. If you offer a fridge with items inside then you should make sure they work or are fixed.

Room was comfortable (no air con though, just a desk fan) with a nice colour scheme, lots of pillows and nice touches. Bar/restaurant is bright, food was good (calling it a continental breakfast is a bit of a stretch). Lovely staff. Space limited in the room despite me sending a message ahead, requesting space around beds as we have a wheelchair user in our family. Far too warm in the room so had to leave the window open, then had noise from people leaving the bar late at night in the car park. Bed too soft & pillows lumpy. Food at the evening meal & breakfast all fantastic. Cleanliness really not up to scratch, particularly around the self service breakfast areas.

Stayed at the Bike and Boot for an overnight walking break. This hotel is fabulous. 100% dog friendly with complimentary treats, dog bed, towell and even a toy. The whole place is spotlessly clean which is rare for somewhere that allows dogs. All staff were super friendly from the man at check in to the night porter - nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are lovely - clean, modern and spacious. The perfect place to stay if planning a walk in the beautiful peak district. We will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel. Spotlessly clean. Good sized room, comfortable bed, spacious shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Added bonus was tv set up for chromecast so could stream netflix etc from phone. Strong wifi throughout premises. Dog friendly. Only negatives were traffic noise in front facing rooms which could be an issue for very light sleepers. Food generally very good but continental breakfast somewhat average.

Excellent facilities, clean and modern room. The rooms were very warm, even with a fan. I think a thinner duvet for the summer would be a good call. Food in the restaurant was very good however the services was quite poor. Granted it was a busy Saturday night but the services for drinks and ordering food was very slow and we felt forgotten about. We didn’t get asked if we would like to see the dessert menu and if we hadn’t had asked for the bill we would have been waiting all night. All in all I would recommended the hotel - super facilities and location but service staff need either more training, more staff on or bettered managed.

A great hotel in excellent condition but the lack of air conditioning on some of these hottest days of the year was an issue. Road noise was also an issue despite the double glazing.

All good apart from flashing smoke alarm which was extremely bright. Helpful staff. Good food. Daughters room at front of building was less quiet than mine.

Lovely staff. Space limited in the room despite me sending a message ahead, requesting space around beds as we have a wheelchair user in our family. Far too warm in the room so had to leave the window open, then had noise from people leaving the bar late at night in the car park. Bed too soft & pillows lumpy. Food at the evening meal & breakfast all fantastic. Cleanliness really not up to scratch, particularly around the self service breakfast areas.

Excellent hotel. Spotlessly clean. Good sized room, comfortable bed, spacious shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Added bonus was tv set up for chromecast so could stream netflix etc from phone. Strong wifi throughout premises. Dog friendly. Only negatives were traffic noise in front facing rooms which could be an issue for very light sleepers. Food generally very good but continental breakfast somewhat average.

Sadly, the EV chargers didn't work, and every staff member under the age of 25 looked like they really didn't want to be there. It took the shine off our dinner, bearing in mind we are only 27 and 28, and have worked similar jobs ourselves - but it was very noticeable and off-putting. Loved the dog friendliness of the place and how accommodating it was to outdoorsy folk. Will come back for sure.

Excellent room easy to book in but staff in restaurant very no attentive , got that fed up of waiting we ended going back to our room and ordered room service, the delivery and food was good but took ages to arrive. I missed breakfast as over laid ( my fault) but when asked staff was rudely told it finished, so had to get off as late for swim

Room was comfortable (no air con though, just a desk fan) with a nice colour scheme, lots of pillows and nice touches. Bar/restaurant is bright, food was good (calling it a continental breakfast is a bit of a stretch). Some of the staff could do with smiling more and actually show some enthusiasm to the guests (not all, some was pleasant)

We loved staying here. Perfect base for a cycling trip. Staff were very helpful and friendly and facilities were fantastic. Food at the restaurant was good too and everything was generally great. We are already planning coming back!

Property is on a main road but is quiet. Good location for the attractions of the area. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. The Retreat for cake and coffee was very nice. Room service is click and collect. A visit to the restaurant coincided with a group table and was very noisy but the food is quite good. Check in is DIY but someone is on hand.

Great dog friendly hotel and the staff are very helpful. You can even sit and enjoy a meal in the restaurant along with your dog. The rooms are very clean and modern with lovely designer touches throughout the room, bathroom, and hotel. Parking facilities are also great. The scenery is amazing with lot's of places to visit, and beautiful villages around the area. We enjoyed visiting the caverns and outdoor swimming pool which are a 10min drive from the hotel either way. We also took a trip to Bakewell and had a lovely time there too.

Clean hotel, good sized rooms and a great simple check in and check out process using an internal system. Very close to everything that we were visiting, so top marks on location too. I also really enjoyed the wine that we had with dinner. The food options looked good, but we ordered the wrong options. My wife, a Mac and cheese that was very watery and did not contain much of the added on ham, and my mussels were steamed in water rather than cooked in what I thought would be garlic and tomato. Onion rings were great though, and I see this as our mistake for not asking about the dishes beforehand. The service during dinner was good too. Improvement can be made on very simple things. Breakfast, we had to ask for teaspoons. We could overhear other people joking about this and others walking around unsure on where to find them or to ask, as it's something that everyone requires for their hot drinks in the morning. No plates at the station when there were 4 members of staff, with 3 available to check. Again, had to ask and another visitor thanked me for this as he was standing there waiting. No sauce on the table or at the station, again, had to request this. Neither of these I class as a major negative, but offer as advice for improvement for the benefit of other visitors.

Likes: - How dog friendly the hotel was. - The staff, particularly the staff on reception, were really friendly and helpful. Dislikes: - The grass around the hotel was quite long and messy and with the hotel being so dog friendly it would have been better if this area was kept better maintained. - The breakfast wasn't great. Some of the food seemed like it wasn't particularly fresh (I had a croissant on one day which was really dry).

Loved this hotel. Loved the staff, loved the fellow guests, loved the restaurant. We arrived late on the Friday and went into the restaurant for ease. It was so good we visited every night. Dog friendly, human friendly. Rooms comfortable and ideal for walkers/cyclists/tourists.

Absolutely excellent. Wonderful place, fantastic restaurant, thoughtful touches (our pup was very pleased with her welcome tennis ball!). I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast but there was a good variety available.

Practically everything was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, facilities and rooms etc all excellent. The evening menu in the restaurant was also varied and good. It’s also great that that there is dedicated secure cycle parking. The only slight negative is that the breakfast is on the expensive side if you don’t want to have the cooked breakfast component. The ‘continental’ parts were adequate but didn’t constitute great value for £15.00 Also ask for a room at the back of the building if you can, as the road out front gets busy and loud quite early.

Good car park. Spoke to 2 staff that was polite and decent. Helpful with information on bike and walking routes. Smelt a bit like dog wee at the entrance also a broken drain pipe. Bedroom doors slammed shut so could possibly wake u up. All in all fairly decent. Didn’t have breakfast. Got the room for £85 wouldn’t want to pay much more for it tbf. No aircon

Bedroom doors slammed shut so could possibly wake u up. All in all fairly decent. Didn’t have breakfast. Got the room for £85 wouldn’t want to pay much more for it tbf. No aircon

I found Bike & Boot Hope Valley exceeded my expectations. Easy parking, efficient check-in and comfortable, clean room (bigger than expected). Place to sit by the window for reading, having a cuppa etc. More than enough storage space (3 large drawers and hanging space). Fridge in room. The shower was good. Cosy lounge for residents with comfy seats and a coffee machine - nice for the evenings. I ate twice in the restaurant in the evening and had good food and service both times - there are lighter options as well as hungry walkers' portions. I cannot comment on the breakfast or the free cake as I did not have those.
