I was there for about 10 hours. The room was just about ok. Bathroom was lacking in several respects - the shower gel bottle was empty, the bath towel was dirty. I requested repeatedly for the menu for in-room dining and only then was it sent. The check out took the longest time due to their system issue though the room was paid and the in-room dining was paid at the time of service. The gym is very basic with no music or working TV there. The property does not deserve to be a Holiday Inn brand.

Only OK. This is a mostly negative review. Not very welcoming front desk staff, I had to settle the bill on arrival rather than departure. I had a booking that included breakfast for two people, the reception desk were not aware of this, I had to forward my email confirmation before they would accept this. I was visiting friends in Kolkata, the reception staff would not allow any visitors to my room, stating it was policy, even if they checked the I.D, although they did allow my friend that collected me from the airport, I did manage to sneak a few visitors past them though, haha. In Room facilities did not match the Description, most of the facilities mentioned were not present - Minibar, Iron, Ironing board, Hairdryer, Bath Robes, no welcome pack in the room. bedding was not changed during my stay, cleanliness level was just OK. No Air freshener. Bathroom - The Water never got hot in the shower or the sink and pressure was very low especially in the Shower. Restaurant and Bar - Limited choice at Breakfast, especially Juices, they only had mixed fruit, although Watermelon was available by request. I expected Curd to be on offer in the breakfast selections, again I had to request this. I only ate Evening meal once and wouldn't choose to again, the Bar area adjacent to the restaurant was playing loud music, this was very distracting, especially when people kept standing in the doorway leaving the door open, making the music even louder, not a pleasant dining experience.

Great location for a short stay while visiting Kolkata. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast items were great. Room was fine as expected. Only thing I would like to mention is the lack of exchanging currency at the hoyel for foreign travelers especially when all airports kiosks are shut down. Since smaller bills are needed on a daily basis since foreigners cant use G-pay either, would be thoughtful if the hotel kept some handy.

Things I liked: During breakfast the staff was coming to talk to you often. Food options were nice as well during breakfast. Room service was satisfactory. Location is close to the airport so that's convenient. However a shuttle to and from the airport would be rather helpful. Things I didn't like: The random security check under the taxi using a mirror and luggage scanner which was not manned while our luggage passed through it at 2 am made no sense. It just feels like a process to tick the box with no real purpose from the security staff. Lobby doesn't suit Holiday Inn's image as there were people sleeping in the lobby (it rather looked like they had passed out after having a spirited night). During check in I was not given any information may be considering half of my family had already checked in earlier during the day. I figured out the WiFi password by myself later in the room. Out of the 2 rooms booked one didn't have a refrigerator. The property is among the dirtiest start rated hotels I have ever been in. The lobby, corridor the rooms all are barely "cleaned" to say that there is housekeeping staff and again like the security staff it just felt like they are doing their job to tick the box. I have a baby who has asthma and struggles around dust. But the rooms were dusty. The carpets were stained, the parts around the carpet had dust and gunk settled around it. Forced to give feedback while the hotel staff was standing over my shoulder during check out.

I chose to stay in this hotel due to its proximity to the Kolkata airport. The hotel is not maintained well. The room has a musty odor. The furniture tops were dirty, and sticky. The bedsheet had oil stains and hair from earlier guest. The bathroom did not have hand towels or wash cloths. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. The property looks very dated due to poor maintenance. I am giving these details as I do not want other guests plan to have a restful sleep prior to a flight like I did. Wish I had read the earlier reviews and not stayed here.

Only booked this hotel because of the absence of any Marriott hotels near the airport, and no Hilton hotels in Kolkata. Figured that an IHG hotel will have basic standards of cleanliness and amenities which will suffice for a quick stopover between flights. This is the most pathetic 1 star lodge that has paid people to write fake reviews and managed to have a 4.6 star rating on Google from 29K people. I checked into the hotel at 11 pm after a long flight and tiring day, and came to the room which clearly had stain marks on the bedsheets and the pillowcases were used. The toilet was dirty with toilet paper still in the toilet bowl. Absolutely no amenities - one towel for double occupancy, one toothbrush, no slippers, water bottles from a random unknown company, extremely pungent smell. It was evident that the room was given to someone else for the day because I checked in so late, and then they didn't clean the room and gave it to me again. I had to fight with housekeeping at 11 pm in the night to get some basic amenities to allow myself to rest. They still did their best assuming that the hotel management doesn't care at all. After requesting to see the duty manager who couldn't be bothered to come up to my room after pulling this kind of nonsense, I went down to talk to this most despicable person, and I've no idea how this person is allowed to manage a hotel that is a part of IHG. I'm still at the hotel, and I'm fairly certain I won't even dare touch the breakfast.

The cleanliness of the hotel had been compromised. I had stayed in HHH before but this time they disappointed me. The pillow covers and bed sheets were not changed and cleaned. Someone’s spit stain was left on the on the pillow.

Room and bathroom was not clean. Bathroom shower knob came off, shower was not clean and didn’t give you very much toilet paper. The one positive thing was the breakfast and staff was great! Not a 4 star hotel.

Room was not very quiet you could hear someone next to your room snoring at night had difficulty to fall sleep. Also, the room service for assistance not very efficient waited to for a bit then ended up doing things on my own mostly. Also, room card was an everyday issue even if you tell the front staff they seems to be least bothered was there for 5 nights & everyday couple of times this will happen. Ended up moving to another hotel for that reason. Good thing about my stay was breakfast & dinner included which I paid extra. Restaurant staff & cleaning staffs very polite & helpful. They checked on me almost every day that was very sweet.

The hotel is convenient for transportation to and from the airport. The restaurant is excellent. The check-in process takes too much time Almost 30 minutes for a confirmed, already -paid reservation. There were ladies running around greeting the guests. Maybe they should be taught to check in the guests. The fixtures in the bathroom were ordinary. The view from the room was to the next building on the street. That was not our biggest complaint, through. The bathroom didn't have hand towels. The quality of the coffee powder in the room was abysmal. We were pressured to give a glowing review, which we didn't appreciate.

The check out took the longest time due to their system issue though the room was paid and the in-room dining was paid at the time of service. The gym is very basic with no music or working TV there. The property does not deserve to be a Holiday Inn brand.

Only OK. This is a mostly negative review. Not very welcoming front desk staff, I had to settle the bill on arrival rather than departure. I had a booking that included breakfast for two people, the reception desk were not aware of this, I had to forward my email confirmation before they would accept this. I was visiting friends in Kolkata, the reception staff would not allow any visitors to my room, stating it was policy, even if they checked the I.D, although they did allow my friend that collected me from the airport, I did manage to sneak a few visitors past them though, haha. In Room facilities did not match the Description, most of the facilities mentioned were not present - Minibar, Iron, Ironing board, Hairdryer, Bath Robes, no welcome pack in the room. bedding was not changed during my stay, cleanliness level was just OK. No Air freshener. Bathroom - The Water never got hot in the shower or the sink and pressure was very low especially in the Shower. Restaurant and Bar - Limited choice at Breakfast, especially Juices, they only had mixed fruit, although Watermelon was available by request. I expected Curd to be on offer in the breakfast selections, again I had to request this. I only ate Evening meal once and wouldn't choose to again, the Bar area adjacent to the restaurant was playing loud music, this was very distracting, especially when people kept standing in the doorway leaving the door open, making the music even louder, not a pleasant dining experience.

Great location for a short stay while visiting Kolkata. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast items were great. Room was fine as expected. Only thing I would like to mention is the lack of exchanging currency at the hoyel for foreign travelers especially when all airports kiosks are shut down. Since smaller bills are needed on a daily basis since foreigners cant use G-pay either, would be thoughtful if the hotel kept some handy.

My wife and I have stayed here many times for short layovers. Check-in was a bit slow, but the staff are eager and helpful. The store next door was good for bringing in some outside food (due to Celiac needs). Breakfast was good, but the wait staff are a little too eager to make suggestions.

The hotel is convenient for transportation to and from the airport. The restaurant is excellent. The check-in process takes too much time Almost 30 minutes for a confirmed, already -paid reservation. There were ladies running around greeting the guests. Maybe they should be taught to check in the guests. The fixtures in the bathroom were ordinary. The view from the room was to the next building on the street. That was not our biggest complaint, through. The bathroom didn't have hand towels. The quality of the coffee powder in the room was abysmal. We were pressured to give a glowing review, which we didn't appreciate.

Things I liked: During breakfast the staff was coming to talk to you often. Food options were nice as well during breakfast. Room service was satisfactory. Location is close to the airport so that's convenient. However a shuttle to and from the airport would be rather helpful. Things I didn't like: The random security check under the taxi using a mirror and luggage scanner which was not manned while our luggage passed through it at 2 am made no sense. It just feels like a process to tick the box with no real purpose from the security staff. Lobby doesn't suit Holiday Inn's image as there were people sleeping in the lobby (it rather looked like they had passed out after having a spirited night). During check in I was not given any information may be considering half of my family had already checked in earlier during the day. I figured out the WiFi password by myself later in the room. Out of the 2 rooms booked one didn't have a refrigerator. The property is among the dirtiest start rated hotels I have ever been in. The lobby, corridor the rooms all are barely "cleaned" to say that there is housekeeping staff and again like the security staff it just felt like they are doing their job to tick the box. I have a baby who has asthma and struggles around dust. But the rooms were dusty. The carpets were stained, the parts around the carpet had dust and gunk settled around it. Forced to give feedback while the hotel staff was standing over my shoulder during check out.

Everything was good except the housekeeping. It was very slow. They took 2 hours to just get 2 bottles of water and after multiple phone calls. Even after paying extra surcharge for suite room, they got a thin mattress to sleep on floor for the third guest. They did find a cot and a thick mattress after multiple complaints and phone calls. I expect better treatment w.r.t housekeeping and the price I was paying for the room.

Only booked this hotel because of the absence of any Marriott hotels near the airport, and no Hilton hotels in Kolkata. Figured that an IHG hotel will have basic standards of cleanliness and amenities which will suffice for a quick stopover between flights. This is the most pathetic 1 star lodge that has paid people to write fake reviews and managed to have a 4.6 star rating on Google from 29K people. I checked into the hotel at 11 pm after a long flight and tiring day, and came to the room which clearly had stain marks on the bedsheets and the pillowcases were used. The toilet was dirty with toilet paper still in the toilet bowl. Absolutely no amenities - one towel for double occupancy, one toothbrush, no slippers, water bottles from a random unknown company, extremely pungent smell. It was evident that the room was given to someone else for the day because I checked in so late, and then they didn't clean the room and gave it to me again. I had to fight with housekeeping at 11 pm in the night to get some basic amenities to allow myself to rest. They still did their best assuming that the hotel management doesn't care at all. After requesting to see the duty manager who couldn't be bothered to come up to my room after pulling this kind of nonsense, I went down to talk to this most despicable person, and I've no idea how this person is allowed to manage a hotel that is a part of IHG. I'm still at the hotel, and I'm fairly certain I won't even dare touch the breakfast.

不知道是什麼問題，我凌晨將近2點到飯店check in結果說「房間還沒好還要等10分鐘！！！」不是很能理解房間不是應該早就準備好了才對嗎？ 服務員堅持幫我把行李送到房間，因為真的太累了也沒注意，服務員走了之後梳洗整理一下直接睡覺，早上起床要出門吃早餐才發現服務員插在卡槽上的是一張紙！我根本沒有房卡！！！後來還要下樓去櫃檯要房卡😰。很訝異這是Holiday Inn會有的服務～

The restaurant and check-in staff were really great. The check out staff was kind of rude. We stayed on the 5th floor and after literally 45 trips to India and I can say this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed (and I have a high tolerance for cultural diversity and don’t require luxury). The 5th floor hallway has a stink like overstated rat urine that I have never experienced in my life. It immediately invoked my gag relax and I have PTSD from the smell. I’ve stayed in villages and rural areas and am not even disturbed by a one off rat. But this was next level like I have never smelled and my throat closed up. Honestly.. not fit for human habitation. I am not sure if every floor was like this, but it’s obvious to me that there is a rat infestation (and I mean 100s not just a few) in their ventilation system .additionally the sink did not drain, the shower did not drain.. and I kid you not.. not just embellishing and adding additional thing, there was literally a beetle in the curd rice at the lunch buffet. I have a higher degree of tolerance for mistakes and mishaps, but no human should be staying on the 5th floor of the building. Perhaps other floors are better.. not sure.

Very welcoming staff and extremely responsive service. Was only there for one night but felt important, valued. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was good. I would recommend.
