Lighthouse Resort: Inn & Suites

Beautiful property with two pools. One pool is next to the restaurant/bar area making it very convenient. Rooms are spacious, clean, and mine had a full size refrigerator and stove. My balcony was huge and had two chairs and a table. My balcony overlooked the pool. I would definitely stay here again.

Love that there are two pools. Just wish we would have known that only one was going to be in working order during our stay. Otherwise we love it!

ELEVATOR DIDN’T WORK!! We had a room on the 3rd floor and weren’t told the elevator wasn’t working. I have lung issues and all those stairs in the humidity were too much. Parking is minimal with tight spaces, checkin didn’t have signage or anywhere to park to get to their office, the pool is small, beds uncomfortable, and minimal water pressure in the shower! We DID like the huge Tiki Bar, bartenders, good drinks and music!! People were enjoying themselves and it was a nice mix of age groups. The hotel is across the street from the beach and next to Margaritaville. There’s nearby walkable places to eat but golf cart and shuttle transportation is available for a few dollars per person.

Great staff! Best hotel on Ft. Myers Beach and even better now after Hurricane Ian renovations as they expanded their second poolside area and added a new bar there too. Been staying and hanging out here for over two decades and it keeps getting better..

The property needs working elevators. They need to open the second pool. They have one poor and there's full people because it's open for the public ! If I was able to give it no stars, I would

everything was very good, The downfall of this hotel is they let others that are not staying there use the pool so if you're staying there you may not get a chair because others that just walk in are using them

We did enjoy our stay, unfortunately only one pool was open due to the hurricane a couple years ago. That was not mentioned when I booked. Finding the office initially was difficult also. Otherwise our stay was good

This is a great place however they’re working on a new pool instead of fixing the elevators. There were no signs that they were not working. Very hard to drag luggage up 4 flights of stairs.

Good price with great location and fun tiki bar. The music was during the day, and at night every day. The property needs to invest in fixing their elevator. 44 stairs to my room. Yes, I counted them three floors up. For that reason, I won't go back until it's fixed.

Only bad thing was the parking, there was no parking available at the hotel because many people come hang out the bar and park at the hotel. when we arrived, being that we stayed there we expected a parking spot to be available. Second pool was not opened so everyone was stuck in one small pool. Room was very clean and the bar area had good food and drinks.

The staff were all friendly. The food in the tiki bar was good. The faculties for the most part were all new due to the remodel/rebuild after hurricane Ian in Sept 2022..All of that having been said, the new plank floors in the room were filthy. Our bare feet were black from walking around in our room after just 1/2 hour. The tiki bar was very active and very crowded (a good thing for the resort I guess) but loud music and drunken revelry stared midafternoon till midnight every day of the week. Bands or karaoke played constantly all afternoon and evening. I do enjoy live music but I also like to sleep. Couldn’t really do that till after midnight the entire time we were there.

Multiple roaches. I know its Florida and next to the water, but definitely more than anywhere else I've stayed. Other than that, I love the place.

The room was very clean and the staff were great.

Very poor….floors very dirty, black mold around bathroom tub/shower, ceiling paint peeling in bathroom. Very outdated; noisy, very crowded area. Overhead bed lights broken, poor tv reception, very limited stations available Office staff not accommodating

The only thing I didn't like was the shower needs some work to it and I seen a roach on the floor. Prices for one night was to much for the quality.

The floors were filthy. I ended up cleaning them myself just so I could walk in my bare feet. They still have alot of work to do since the hurricanes. No elevators are working therefore walking up three flights of stairs with suitcases and cooler was a challenge. The Tiki Bar would be top notch if the bar tenders were a bit less nasty. No servers, you have to go up to them just to order a drink, and/or food. Even to get ice in your room and they hate that. What are you expected to do? The Tiki Bar does rock at night. If you are looking for a fun time, stay here. If you are looking for a hotel and quiet, don't stay here.

room was not very clean. floor left feet/socks black. spare blanket had spill marks . unwashed. coffee not refilled. never made our bed. very unhappy with housekeeping.

This is coming from a perspective of regular cruisers and without a ton of land experiences behind us. Our room was brand new and nice. There were no tables by the bed for our cell phones but there were outlets for chargers so we rested the phones on the floor and windowsill. Fridge and microwave were nice with coffee maker and sink if you like a mini kitchenette or are one to order some instacart for your room. The second pool will be beautiful when ready but they were still working on it. The main pool is small and people smoke literally while in it which was very annoying. We had chain smokers doing it. A couple of staff were friendly, more were not so friendly and did not particularly go out of their way or crack a smile. We appreciated the $ savings but will lgo with the more upscale option and pay the extra money for the experience of staff presence and resort amenities. We just learned that is more the experience we prefer, regardless of being on land. The bar food was reasonably priced and food good. It was a lively older crowd if you’re into that scene. Again, we are not smokers and there were smokers throughout this property so if that’s not your thing, reconsider. This is a very relaxed laid back do your own thing environment. We met people who were not guests but came for a drink at the bar but sat at the pool. There are only a select few lounge chairs and some guests held chairs all day but had mini chairs to sit closer as well and alternated between both.

It was a family girl’s trip. The room was spacious, clean, and comfy. The pool is on the smaller side and very busy, but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again. Very convenient to beach and restaurants.

The first thing you should know about the Lighthouse is that it's a party hotel. That's not necessarily a bad thing; presumably that's why people go there, but be aware that it's centered around a loud bar that doesn't get quiet until midnight. It's not right on the beach, but it's just across the street which is still quite close. The room was spacious, and unlike many hotels, there was ample furniture for our needs. Our room had a lot of problems though. The blinds didn't work, one of the lamps was missing the knob to turn it on, the doorknob to the closet was completely shot, and the front door deadbolt made it hard to close the front door without really shoving it hard. I'm willing to cut them some slack for hurricane damage, but they've been open for two years now and they still haven't fixed all these issues. They tell you that the maid only makes your bed if you ask, which is fine. However, they didn't replace our in-room coffee, shampoo, etc. I mentioned it to the staff and they were kind of snarky about it, telling me that I should have read the fine print. The hotel restaurant/bar doesn't open until 9:00, so if you need to leave earlier than that you'll need to make other plans. Furthermore, there are surprisingly few food options in the vicinity, the best being in the Margaritaville Hotel across the street.

We stayed in a rebuilt building after Ian. Our room was much nicer than the rooms at Margaritaville. Other than no beach view, I'll be back.

Enjoyed our stay! Unfortunately the new pool was closed 3 of the 6 days we stayed, however there was still a smaller pool available. When we did use the new pool, it was so refreshing. Clean, big enough for multiple families and the waterfall was fun. The king suite was brand new and met our needs for the most part. It was decorated well and easy to find! Make sure to plan for no utensils or stovetop in the new suite. It was closer to a mini kitchenette with a mid size fridge. No closet, but plenty of drawer space and 2 bars for hanging clothes on either side of bedroom TV. TV was spotty here and there for local channels, but you could use your own apps on the smart tvs. Both TVs were large and new! Patio was a great space to see the new pool and shaded! Be prepared the noise travels with as close as the suites are to the new pool. No sleeping in with the younger families swimming early. But we didn’t mind. Staff at hotel was amazing! The Tiki bar was fun, although it was a little confusing at times on how to order and sometimes navigate where to sit. No true wait staff. You had to go to bar each time to order drinks, food, etc. However, they were extremely fun and professional! Fun music! Location of hotel was PERFECT! Super close to the beach, restaurants and other hotels to meet up with friends/family also visiting. We would stay here again.

For the Price, this was a great place to stay. We were on the fourth floor of the main area and the tiki bar was very loud, but the band was good. The bar and pool area were pretty crowded the entire time we were there. Our room was very large. The bed was comfortable, and we had a shared outdoor area on either side of the room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse resort. The renovation of the room wa well done. The furniture was comfortable and the room was clean. The property is in a great location - wither easy walking distance to beach, restaurants, and entertainments. We only found two negatives. 1 -the parking situation is horrible. We were issued a parking pass for the stay butf ound that the 10 spots in front of our back of the resort unit were take 70% of the time by non-resort guests. We asked the parking security guy and the front desk staff about it and were told, we know many spaces are taken by non-resort guests but we don't enforced so just keep looking. If we are paying close to $200 a night, we should not lose our parking to non-resort guests. The other negative is the room is extremely bright all night. The blinds do very little to block the lighting from the exterior of the hotel. It was a minor inconvenience and won't prevent us from staying again but I wanted to mention it for others who are sensitive to that type of thing.

Not overly crowded. Room was huge with 2 queen beds, full kicthen, stove, plates, cups. Tiki bar was awesome. Food was awesome. Room service was fast. Ordered our food and it was at the door within 10min. Check in was ease. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel. Walking distance to the beach. Service was great and staff very friendly. Good food and drinks at the tiki bar but also results in some noise and occasional disturbance from drunk people. Shutters did not close properly, which resulted in people being able to look into the room from the outside. Bed was bouncy and a bit too small for two people.

So checkin for this property was actually flawless, the front desk staff was pretty friendly, I began thinking MAN i got a steal. Until the night of the stay. So there is no phones in the rooms, front desk closes at 10PM if you have any issues your just stuck. I attempted to try to call the number on google at 4 am because our neighbor got so drunk he was yelling at his wife all night long we couldnt sleep at all. To top everything off I was naked ( mind you my do not disturb sign was up ) a worked opened my door a hour before checkout and closed it real fast. I was mortified. When asking the worker why he just opened it he said " she told me to come check rooms " I really wanted to love this place and we planned on booking another getaway here but now, I dont think we will be returning.

Staff was extremely nice. They are working hard to finish remodel. Tiki bar looked great. Loved the towel exchange! Close to the beach and downtown.

I stayed a couple of nights at Lighthouse in January for a work trip. I've stayed in most of the hotels and vacation rentals nearby this property since the hurricane over the past couple of years. The price I paid for my room and the convenience to our office along with the Tiki Bar downstairs made this a bargain for me. Very happy with an easy check in process and I found a parking spot right away very close to the stairs. I had a Junior suite booked and I think that I got a better room b/c my room had 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath. It was very clean and very comfortable. For the price I paid I could not have found similar at another location. There is not an elevator and I was on the 3rd floor. Not a big deal for me at all and I enjoyed the views from the higher floor. Great shared outdoor area with tables and chairs. I did not have any issues with sound from inside my room except for one night b/c there were people hanging out outside my room on the shared outdoor area until about 2:30am. Other than that no issues at all. I loved having the Tiki Bar downstairs to grab a quick lunch, dinner or drinks. Overall I was very happy with my stay. The ladies at the front office were awesome each time I went in. Very happy.

Night clerk was unsympathetic!!! Our room was on second floor elevator was under construction.10 day stay, lots of luggage upstairs then drop down 3 steps to get to room. It was pouring rain and rain gutter had huge leak a complete waterfall to get to room every thing was soaked,he said it’s raining it’s not my problem! Day 2 we were on the ocean at sanibel island got back at 9pm called office for blanket, he brought it and said he sent a text 2 hours before we didn’t hear because of ocean. We had to evacuate by8am due to hurricane Helene! We asked for advice as to where we should go to as we had never dealt with this before, his response was it’s not my problem just be out by 8am! We left at 2am and drove 4 hours to Orlando. could’ve been nice but for hurricane and Night clerk being a total jerk

Great few days at the Lighthouse Resort. Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. Close to the beach and shops. Exactly what we needed.

The AC quit working and front desk clerk was wonderful and moved us to an upgraded room.

The staff lied rigjt to my face about having a workingnm elevator. Claiming it just broke the day before. Every guest comfirmed it was down for the whole time they were there. My wife & i are recivering from knee surgeries. Top floor, they kept us on the top floor, they had cheaper floors on the bottom floor but didnt want to do the paper work. They could have told usbin time to rebook elsewhere. They just didnt want to loose the business....we're never going back

It was alright. Front desk lady was rude and short at check in and when exchanging towels. We had no parking two nights of our stay due to the overwhelming amount of people who come to visit the tiki bar. I recommend 24/7 parking or atleast until tiki is closed to ensure guests get what they paid for. Property only has one pool open and it is next to that tiki bar so with kids it wasn’t ideal. Randoms at the pool too so not sure why front desk gave paying customers a hard time when they had people just camping at their pool and tiki bar. I love ft Myers beach but lots of work still left to be done. I’d start with a friendly check in it threw off the trip the moment I arrived not being welcomed nor given recommendations for our stay it was cut throat here’s your keys bye don’t come back here or else. Not what I was looking for on our beach stay.

The Lighthouse Inn was awesome! It's old, (has that "old FMB charm") but very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great and I cannot say enough about the Tiki Bar - hands down has the BEST FOOD on the island, and the most reasonably priced, too! It also has, without a doubt, the BEST STAFF of any place we visited. (and we visited them all) Everyone there is so friendly and made each visit really fun! The office staff was wonderful - very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with John and Ally on the bar, and playing Bingo with Lena was a lot of laughs! Great service all the way around! The bar back, Vilmar, is by far the hardest working guy on FMB!!! What an incredible employee they have in him! I watched in awe as he constantly scanned the room and the minute he saw someone who may need something, he was on it! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! As far as the noise goes, it wasn't just this Inn with noisy construction, but the whole area, which I know is necessary and cannot be helped, but it just got old listening to it for 11 days straight! In fairness to the Lighthouse Inn, at the time of booking, they did send me a letter stating that there is construction, noise and no working elevators, so I knew this going in! It would by no means ever stop us for going there again as we absolutely LOVED The Lighthouse Inn and Resort!!

A lot of construction going on right now obviously because of the past 3 storms, but still a lot of fun. They seem to be kicking butt getting things cleaned up and reapaired/replaced. The Tiki Bar was a lot of fun with solid drinks, but food wasn't very good.

We liked the room 155. Could not have been better. The lady who checked us in could have been nicer. The food was terrible! Coach fritters are full of shells. Surprised we did not break a tooth. The peel n eat shrimp had no seasoning and were undercooked. Kaylee served us breakfast the next day. She was rude and told me that ordering my eggs over medium was unusual. They came out wrong and she made quite a scene as she threw them away and aggravated me while I ate the rest of the meal.

Walking distance to beach. Rooms were nice enough with kitchenettes. Nice Tiki Hut bar with great entertainment and good food and drink. The Tiki bar was the place to be at Fort Myers beach for lively fun dancing and singers. I didn't care for the check-in desk girl.

Great location, you can walk to many bars, restaurants and shops. The Tiki Bar was a great place to watch football games. Music done by 11pm. Good drinks, fun crowd. Clean towels daily, housekeeping as requested.

Honestly would absolutely stay here again and look forward to doing so after renovations complete post Ian. We stayed Feb. '25 and are definitely looking forward to returning. As it was, great food, fun tiki bar with music, always hopping, nice warm heated pool, very nice rooms, ample free parking, 5 min walk to beach and square. Great casual homey vibe for beach vacation. Highly recommend
