Diamond Head Beach Resort

Great access to the beach and loved the included beach chairs and umbrella. The beach staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Access to water toys was a good touch as well. The hotel has been renovated due to the damage from the hurricane which makes everything prettier in general. The bathrooms have a lack of ventilation so after a day or two the showers tend to have a mildew smell. The beds were comfortable and the mini kitchen was great for our stay during a baseball tournament. The food at the beach bar and at the restaurant were yummy. Nice to have that great option in the hotel. The front desk and other staff members were very friendly and helpful with a bothersome neighbor who repeatedly had bumping loud music at all hours of the morning, day and night. They were able to silence it every time. Great location for a PG Baseball Tourney to all of the local fields (20-30 min drive). Coming back to the beach was worth it all.

The room was incredible. Elegant and oceanfront. The beach is gorgeous and has been replenished after Hurricane Ian 2 years ago. And the pool is heated. Poolside restaurant is good and reasonably priced though you can walk to others that are famous

The resort was right on the gulf. The pool area was really nice. Beach chairs were not included in the price of your stay and were available at a cost of $15 per day. The elevator was not in the best condition and had a delayed opening. The air conditioner did not keep temperature and had to be turned off and on to keep the room cool. The staff was

Great place to stay if you want to be on the beach with a pool, pool service, bar/food etc. Only two criticisms, air conditioner is EXTREMELY loud, and the mattresses are hard as rocks and wrecked my poor husbands back. Loved the layout, shower, screened in balcony and pool service/restaurant/bar and proximity to the beach.

Two elevators were down and the two that were working was used for both patrons and cleaning staff

We recently stayed at DiamondHead Beach Resort in Fort Myers and had a mostly enjoyable experience, but there were several issues worth mentioning for future guests and management to consider. First, the location is absolutely unbeatable—right on the beach with gorgeous views and a lively, fun atmosphere. The poolside bar and live music were great touches, and the room was spacious with a lovely balcony. We also appreciated the friendly front desk staff. That said, there were some important concerns that impacted our stay: 1. Parking was extremely limited. Since the restaurant and bar are open to the public, many spaces were taken up by non-guests. As paying resort guests, we expected either assigned parking or at least guaranteed availability. This was frustrating, especially after returning in the evening. 2. The elevator situation was a mess. At times, only one elevator was working for the entire building. Even when both were running, they were very slow and often crowded. It caused long waits and inconvenience, especially when hauling beach gear or luggage. 3. Upon arrival, we noticed long black hairs in the shower and on the walls, which made us question how well the room was cleaned. Also, the shower floor is dangerously slippery and could easily cause a fall. Definitely something that needs attention for guest safety. 4. The pull-out refrigerator in the kitchen area was extremely loose, and unfortunately, my boyfriend cut his foot badly on it. It definitely needs

Very beautiful resort, great beach & pool & pool bar. Drinks were amazing. Con...there was only 1 working elevator. A lot of wasted time waiting for elevator.

Loved or stay. Beachside and access to umbrellas and chairs at the beach. Pool was good. Warm but it would be impossible to try to keep it cool with the hot Florida Temps. Live music and fun atmosphere. Close enough to walk to downtown but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Will definitely return.

Clean

I should preface we were only there 2 nights (which I think is a large part of how we were treated). This was the final stop on a long trip throughout the state. This ‘resort’ was highly recommended by family members and we were so excited to go! We knew they might be working out some things post Ian, but not at all to this degree. This experience was so beyond bizarre, this review doesn’t even seem real for well over $400/night. After finally getting into our room that we were ‘upgraded to’ since it was not ready on time, we noticed the room itself was not clean at all. I pulled down the sheets as part of a habit, and there were MULTIPLE body hairs on the fitted sheet. The bed was made, but it looked pretty obvious that the sheets had not been changed or were dirty upon changing? We call the front desk, and they bring up new sheets. They SIMPLY DROP THEM OFF. I call back and they said they have no one to service the room, so we have to make our own bed. We had to PULL OFF THE DIRTY SHEETS WITH BODY HAIR ON THEM THAT WAS NOT OURS and REMAKE OUR BED. I mentioned the room itself was also very dirty and they offered us a ‘sleeper room’ to stay but we could not change rooms. We only could ‘sleep in it’. They said they were sold out but the sign outside said ‘vacancy’.

The staff at the resort are fantastic. Jen in Coste Island Cuisine was amazing. Not only was she friendly but as a first time solo traveler she made me feel so relaxed. The food at both the pool bar and Coste Island was delicious. My room was very clean and had everything you’d need if you wanted to cook on your trip. My only issue is when people are in the hallway it’s very loud and your voice echoes and the elevator AC wasn’t great.

First impression is that this is a nice hotel, but you soon see the shortcuts. Poor cleaning resort wide. See lightswitches, elevator buttons etc. You can clearly see that it is no effort in keeping it clean. We actualy tried various places in our room, and just wather and cloth removed stains...

It was right on the beach. No cleaning service for our entire visit of 4 days. Floor needed sweeping.

We loved our gulf view room which was very spacious, clean and had wonderful amenities particularly the kitchen. Great sized balcony with plenty of room for all 4 of us to sit out on and still have lots of space. Everything was very clean and the staff were all super friendly. Location was excellent, right on the beach with the use of loungers and umbrella. Free parking was also great. We were able to walk and explore FMB. Highly recommend the dolphin and shelling tour with good time charters too.

Best part of the stay was the access to the beach my kids had and the availability to rent lounge chairs and umbrella by the beach. Sadly have to say that my husband and I got bed bugs bite from our room. On our leg, arms and back. This made our stay very uncomfortable and luckily we were not there for long.

Overall I liked this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean for the most part, with the exception of the floors. Staff were very friendly and the beach was great. The only things I didnt like were the super slow elevators and there was zero water pressure in the shower, which makes it really hard to wash your hair if its long. It also would have been nice if the bar/restaurant by the pool stayed open later.

Love that the suite was roomy and directly on the beach side. Beautiful view.

The location was nice, but our one-bedroom suite wasn’t at all worth the price. Our refrigerator was cracked and broken, The pocket door to the bathroom stuck half-open. Showering was a nightmare, as it was a semi-open shower that left you freezing cold and left water all over the floor. Lastly, the only mirror in the entire place was the bathroom. No full-length mirror at all. Challenging to get a family of 5 ready for a day out. Ice machines were located in every other floor, mak in g it inconvenient to keep coolers and hydration bottles filled. There weren’t enough lounge chairs at the pool for everyone who wanted them, and they allowed people to place towels on lounge chairs early in the morning to “save them” for themselves if they decided to use them later in the day. I saw several chairs that were “saved” and never even used. Thankfully, we were only there a couple of days. I couldn’t have handled much more.

We really enjoyed our stay at DiamondHead Beach Resort. The pool, outside seating, and entertainment were all very good. Vicki at the front desk made us feel very welcome. We plan yo return soon!

The front desk staff were wonderful to work with. They were able to answer all of my questions. Now the first time we ate at the restaurant is a different story as we had a waitress that must have been high because she keep coming back asking what we ordered or repeated it wrong. So after 45 minutes we got up and left. While walking out we found the manager and he was very apologetic and gave us our wine and not change. We did try again the second night and it was a totaly different experience. The staff was great and the food was wonderful.

Manager at Bar clearly was rude his approach wasn’t customer focus he was more in to showing his power very poor for customer service I wouldn’t recommend him to deal with customers His statements was very uncomfortable for trying to enjoy time at pool

We love coming here. This was our second time (first after hurricane Ian). People are so nice! Our first room had a leak somewhere and after the second time of walking into a puddle, we requested another room of which they accommodated immediately.

Great escape and everything we could have hoped for. The staff is extremely friendly and always accommodating.

2 elevators out of order the other two were very crowed and waited sometimes over 10 minutes for it. No cleaning done in rooms. Front desk unorganized gave misinformation many times. Was locked out of room after paying for an extra night and security for door was disconnected I have a disability and asked to have someone come and unlock door was told i had to get to the lobby. No breakfast on menus room service closed at 8pm. The food expensive and not good. The bar area staff was the best thing here and the servers were great.Bathroom in beach beach area had several stairs to get to. Complaints made were no addressed by anyone.

We stayed January 1-5, 2025. We were very happy with the room and staff the only downfall was all the heavy equipment being used 24/7 improving the beach. The noise at night was terrible and sleep was not good because of it. I would stay again but make sure the construction was over.

Great location

Among the many resorts on the beachfront Fort Myers strip, I paid the extra money to reserve a room at DiamondHead for a few reasons: 1) it appeared to be well kept and had the amenities I was looking for. 2) It was beachfront and my pregnant wife would not have to go far to enjoy the shore. Unfortunately, on the days of our visit, the beach directly in front of the resort was completely blocked off for construction. Yes, constriction… on the beach. I have no idea what they are constructing on sand, but we no longer had the pivotal reason we selected this hotel- beachfront access. So instead we would need to walk to the shore in front of a nearby resort to enjoy the water. Huge bummer. Not to mention the noise that the construction was creating. Also there were signs saying that they stop activity at 5pm, I can assure you that they went hours after that each night. But besides that horrible set back, and despite not getting the key thing we wanted out of this trip, the room itself was absolutely beautiful and the balcony views were stunning. I wish our experience were different, and I would like to get a second chance at enjoying it at its best capacity. But still bummed out I didn’t get an email or a call after the reservation was made to let us know we would lose this key feature… That is definitely something I recommend the resort to do for future projects like this. Thank you

Fort Myers Beach has not recovered from their hurricanes. Most dining is out of food trucks. Getting on or off the area takes forever due to construction and very limited road access.

great location.

The very congested 1 road in and out of island made travel almost impossible. We understand the hurricane destroyed nearby restaurants that would be walkable, but eating at Diamond Head grill/bar and Coste EVERY night is not what we had in mind for vacation. We had lots of rest, which was needed but not much else to do. The property was lovely and clean, but probably would not come back until other eating options are open.

Great resort on a very beautiful beach. It has 2 great restaurants on site and with in walking distance to many more along with all of the area shops and attractions. Great location.

The traffic on Estero Blvd was terrible. Spend 2 hours in my car to go 2 miles after going to the grocery store from the Hotel.That is not the Hotels fault but a Fort Myers issue. Other days were 20-30 minutes for that 2 mile stretch. It was noisy with Hotel construction. 1 Day -1 of the only 2 elevators did not work. The facility is very nice but these issues brought it down to a vacation I will not forget.

Elevators took forever. Disappointing New Year’s Eve, pool/pool bar closed by 730 pm.

Our check in was fast and easy. The room was very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the beach. But the best part was the food and service. We stayed 3 days and had breakfast at Mojo's, and for lunch and dinner we ate at Cabanas. The food was really good. And if you can find waitress Trish, find out what area she is serving and sit in her area.

This was a quick weekend trip. The place was amazing with ocean front/view. The staff was always friendly and willing to help anyway they could. Two amazing restaurants on site along with a coffee/breakfast food truck. Also had live bands in the bar on the beach. We plan on coming back and exploring more of the area

Spacious room, friendly staff, located on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach with calm water. Both restaurants are excellent. We will be back!

The property is still recovering from hurricane Ian. People should know that dining is not fully available, balconies are not screened, and restaurant has limited menu. Still a good place to stay just need to know these things before you book.

One set of elevators were noy working so when wanting to go anywhere it seemed to take forever to get on and off the elevator. And nothing opened for breakfast

The room was overall fairly clean. The couch looked liked it could have used a cleaning though. The food at the Cabana was awful. My Son and I tried multiple dishes over the course of a few days. Very disappointed in each. We even tried the food at varying times of the day but it didn't seem to help the quality or flavor.

Loved our room. Very comfortable and well decorated. Wonderful bed. The food and service at Coste, the on site restaurant spectacular. Great live music and vibe.

Great employees, beachfront suite was really nice, great views, great food at restaurant, bar was good, entertainment was good for the season I stayed in. Only negatives were that there was no food after 6 on a few of the days and then no food at all after a certain hour. No vending machines or snack area in lobby to counter the cravings that guests might have. Besides that I loved this hotel and my stay was excellent. Thanks
