Lovely staff, in reception and in bar and restaurant, garden salad was delicious, food generally was good. Great bar, so many different gins, but enjoyed the wines too. Room was the cheapest and so was small, but was comfortable and was out in the Piggery, a short step from the hotel itself.

The rooms were beautifully decorated with stylish touches that made us feel right at home. The hotel also offered a variety of fantastic facilities, including a cozy reading room, a chic bar, and a delightful restaurant. The highlight for our little one was definitely the pool, which provided hours of fun. The staff went above and beyond with their incredible attentiveness and genuine care, making our stay truly memorable.

This place was lovely. Our family was very comfortable. The bartender was great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Make reservations. We did run out of hot water but it was probably my because my teenager takes the longest showers. Also, the pool is heated but not warm enough on very cold days.

Loved every minute. We wanted to stay another night, but they were full up. Marley, our server and bartender was charming and knowledgeable. He gave us a tutorial on gin, since they had 200 different kinds in the bar. We ended up having a few gin drinks and thoroughly enjoyed them. Dinner was lovely and there was also complimentary full breakfast.

A very warm friendly welcome from Jenny on reception! A really lovely spacious family room, we couldnt fault it at all (they have thought of everything!) It had a huge bed with the most comfy pillows, tea and coffee, complimentary water and biscuits, and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. Lovely clean bathroom with the best fluffy towels! Jenny even went out of her way to find us a small fridge for our babies milk, and the travel cot was already set up with clean linen. The grounds were lovely, with lovely walks for the dog. And the full english breakfast was fantastic! The pool was nice and quiet. We couldnt find anything wrong with our stay!

This was a game of two halves. Front of property beautiful, accidentally drove to back car park, very shabby. Reception guy early evening was wonderful, really smiley and helpful, loved the hotel decor and got excited for our stay. Lovely bar and snug. Accessing room 19 through dining room was a little odd and the room was opposite the kitchen back door. Went for a swim, pool needs updating, again very shabby and had a hose stuck through the wall spouting freezing cold water into pool during the hour we were there. Our evening dining experience was horrendous, ordered scallops, pricey at £14.40 but I couldnt wait to enjoy delicious seared scallops, out they came, three tiny scallops the size of a 10p piece, so overcooked I struggled to chew them, partner sent hers back, my son had a burger that had either been recooked or reheated, the meat so dry he was taking s sip of water after every mouthful. The waiting staff not overly bothered about customer service, walked quickly back to the refuge of the kitchen, not offered anything else to drink after first one, left waiting for dessert menu for kids, had to ask in the end, adults had no pudding because food had been somewhere between awful and ok. Owners need to ask friends or mystery shoppers to experience what is being offered here. Could have forgiven tatty areas and rebooked to come back but the dining experience sealed the deal, wont return.

Arrived in the room which stank. Moved the rug from the floor to find an iron mark on the carpet. No ventilation into the bathroom which on a hot day was a smell of damp. Sofa bed mattress was vile stains all over it. Not very appealing. The rooms from the back of the property made it look something out of an American motel. Breakfast and dinner was nice with good service from the staff. Carpets in the hotel need a good change very old and dingy with tears and not very appealing. The swimming pool was nice, the internal walls need some tlc. Overall not a 3* in my opinion.

No check in or check out experience to speak of. Not told about he amenities Service from the bar / restaurant was excellent. Couldn’t do enough and very happy. Checked in at 9pm and key left on the side and no sign of staff. Checkout was a guy in reception who just took the key from my wife and didn’t really comment so my wife didn’t feel comfortable to say anything. Our room (No9) was very hot, hitting 26c at night at one point and was it was ground floor and looking into grounds where there was a bbq, couldn’t leave the blind open or open the window. Room was cramped. Well stocked with tea/coffee etc and the bathroom was nice. That was clean aside from mould spots on the ceiling. Bed was ok, aside from both wooden headboards were attached so every time you moved, it would whack the wall. The quality of the food was excellent, can see why people go there just to eat. The grounds are lovely, parking was easy.

A fabulous stay enjoyed. The atmosphere was welcoming and incredibly cute. Especially as our dog was greeted with much fondness by all. The quality of design and attention to detail made our room so very appealing and relaxing which captured the real essence of a weekend escape. The service was wonderful. The facilities were great, the swimming pool and changing area were clean and tidy, the size and layout of the pool simple, enough for a fair few good laps of exercise. The grounds really lovely. We enjoyed and an evening meal opting to eat out on all the other days. The menu although refined and of quality sourced ingredients was too pricey for our budget so we did not include breakfast with our stay. Room service was excellent when only orange juice and coffee was required, and a reasonable charge was acceptable. The bed was incredibly comfortable which made for a wonderful romantic stay

Nice place but quite small and basic. They’ve gone for a shabby chic look but it looks a bit worn in places. Our room for a family of 4 was very small. Also it’s a dog friendly hotel which I hadn’t realised.

A very warm friendly welcome from Jenny on reception! A really lovely spacious family room, we couldnt fault it at all (they have thought of everything!) It had a huge bed with the most comfy pillows, tea and coffee, complimentary water and biscuits, and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. Lovely clean bathroom with the best fluffy towels! Jenny even went out of her way to find us a small fridge for our babies milk, and the travel cot was already set up with clean linen. The grounds were lovely, with lovely walks for the dog. This was a game of two halves. Front of property beautiful, accidentally drove to back car park, very shabby. Reception guy early evening was wonderful, really smiley and helpful, loved the hotel decor and got excited for our stay. Lovely bar and snug. Accessing room 19 through dining room was a little odd and the room was opposite the kitchen back door. Went for a swim, pool needs updating, again very shabby and had a hose stuck through the wall spouting freezing cold water into pool during the hour we were there. Our evening dining experience was horrendous, ordered scallops, pricey at £14.40 but I couldnt wait to enjoy delicious seared scallops, out they came, three tiny scallops the size of a 10p piece, so overcooked I struggled to chew them, partner sent hers back, my son had a burger that had either been recooked or reheated, the meat so dry he was taking s sip of water after every mouthful. The waiting staff not overly bothered about customer service, walked quickly back to the refuge of the kitchen, not offered anything else to drink after first one, left waiting for dessert menu for kids, had to ask in the end, adults had no pudding because food had been somewhere between awful and ok. Owners need to ask friends or mystery shoppers to experience what is being offered here. Could have forgiven tatty areas and rebooked to come back but the dining experience sealed the deal, wont return.

No check in or check out experience to speak of. Not told about he amenities Service from the bar / restaurant was excellent. Couldn’t do enough and very happy. Checked in at 9pm and key left on the side and no sign of staff. Checkout was a guy in reception who just took the key from my wife and didn’t really comment so my wife didn’t feel comfortable to say anything. Our room (No9) was very hot, hitting 26c at night at one point and was it was ground floor and looking into grounds where there was a bbq, couldn’t leave the blind open or open the window. Room was cramped. Well stocked with tea/coffee etc and the bathroom was nice. That was clean aside from mould spots on the ceiling. Bed was ok, aside from both wooden headboards were attached so every time you moved, it would whack the wall. The quality of the food was excellent, can see why people go there just to eat. The grounds are lovely, parking was easy.

Loved every minute. We wanted to stay another night, but they were full up. Marley, our server and bartender was charming and knowledgeable. He gave us a tutorial on gin, since they had 200 different kinds in the bar. We ended up having a few gin drinks and thoroughly enjoyed them. Dinner was lovely and there was also complimentary full breakfast.

Booked in for one night with my wife and our dog. We will definitely come and stay again. The hotel is very dog friendly (sausage for breakfast!), and there are plenty of good dog walks from the hotel. The indoor pool was lovely and the bed very comfortable. An excellent selection of local gin on offer too. The staff were great.

An excellent hotel for a trip to Bradford on Avon. The food was good and service excellent. Bradford is in easy reach and the hotel is on a bus route to Bath and Bradford. A canal trip is enjoyable. One word of caution: the entrance is on a sharp bend with not the best visibility (from Bradford), so take care.

We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean.

BED BUGS!!!!!! Room 9 infefected with BED BUGS!! Bitten alive staying in room No9! AVOID I reported this expecting the hotel to take it seriously, deep clean the room, and protect future guests. Unfortunately, the response was shocking. Receptionist, couldnt care less, said unsure what the policy is and someone would call me back. 1x week later no phone call or communication. Called back again, receptionist this time did apologise, but said the duty manager is very busy with event this weekend so I shouldnt expect a call today, they will get back to me when they can. Still havent heard back from them. Last year I stayed in 72 different hotels for work, I on average stay in 2-3 hotels a week. This was the worst for cleanliness and lack of customer care I have ever experience. Terrible - Avoid.

Me, my partner and our 2 dogs spent an amazing weekend there ❤️ The place is magical. We went for long walks around the fields, ate amazing food in the restaurant at the property, swam in a swimming pool, and enjoyed the area around. Definitely recommend to visit! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful ❤️ thank you very much!
