The facilities were very nice and clean and the staff was very kind, helpful and communicative. The only complaint was the noise. The street noise came up through the windows and it was hard to get a good night sleep - passing traffic, people talking, and nearby dance clubs could be heard all night. There was no AC either so we had to have the windows open to keep some airflow happening.

The rooms and building were beautifully designed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The building really needs air conditioning. It stuffy in our room during the day even though it is winter and the weather is not warm.

We had a panomaric apartment and it was wonderful. The apartment was fully equipped with a proper kitchen, living room, bathroom essentials and comfortable bed. The hotel is centrally located and a perfect spot to do some exploring by foot. Property is very safe and staff was amazing. Daily housekeeping is a nice touch you won’t get that at typical apartment stays. They have a friendly front desk team. Jessica was lovely and we felt like we had a knowledgeable friend to ask questions and get some tips for our visit. The hotel has two roof decks and even washer and dryer if you needed to do laundry. They had yoga mats for use and we were happy to learn that they are working on a restaurant and cafe to make the property even more appealing. Will definitely stay again.

I’m a first time visitor to Mexico and this was my first stop, for five nights before heading off the beach. This is an apartment block with concierge services, not a hotel, but the staff do a lot to help you. For me this started back in the UK where I was able to text them to arrange an airport pick up (this was much appreciated as I was arriving after a 12-hr flight, in the evening); and even included them going out to BUY an iron for me to use as they didn’t have one but I needed it. The hotel is in a safe location within a short walk to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops. It’s a little noisy as it’s in a busy area (I arrived on a Saturday night and I could hear music from a local club til about 3am) - though this didn’t bother me but if you are a very light sleeper then you may want to consider that (it’s more a point about the neighbourhood than the building - I imagine anywhere around this place will the same). There is no heating or air con though this didn’t bother me as lots of windows - though means a bit more noise. SUPER comfortable bed and I slept really well.

The ONTO property was very nicely appointed and the staff was beyond kind. The only big downside was it was very hot while we were there in March and there was no AC so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was super loud outside, especially at night. There's a club nearby and it was going all night long. Additionally, there were no screens on the windows so mosquitos got in and ate us alive all night.

Beautifully designed hotel, perfectly situated with walkable distance to many attractions in Roma and Condesa. Wonderful choice of cafés and restaurants nearby. Lovely rooftop with great views of the city.

El departamento/habitación es cómodo y cumple con todas las amenidades. Lo único que nos tomó por sorpresa es que NO cuentan con aire acondicionado en las habitaciones. Estuvimos a principios del mes de mayo y el calor nos puso en situación complicada ya que se tienen que dejar las ventanas abiertas, NO hay mosquiteros y evidentemente el ruido de la calle es un poco elevado.

I would rate our overall experience as average to above average. Staff was not warm, the smoke alarm beeped all night and kept us up. Foul odor from shower.

The first review I've ever written but our stay was so awful I have no choice. My husband & I are incredibly well-traveled and have stayed in hotels all over the world. ONTO is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, not even close. A 2 at best and that's a stretch. The point of a hotel is to SLEEP, and it's absolutely impossible to sleep here. The booming nightclub next door had our windows shaking and room vibrating until ~3 am. Sure, the hotel provides cheap earplugs but they didn't help at all. Perhaps the most frustrating though were the dozens of mosquitos in our room. Once we turned the lights off and *attempted* to sleep, we just heard buzzing in our ears and were constantly turning the lights back on to kill them. We weren't able to sleep at all, and found ourselves with countless bites in the morning. Upon speaking to the front desk, they told us they'd swap our room after the first miserable night (though we paid for the most expensive room category, we were more than willing to downgrade if it meant actually getting some rest). The next morning, Mario scoffed at us saying there were no other rooms available. 3 times we asked over the course of 36 hours with zero solution. The second night was no better. Loud noises and endless mosquitos in our room. Finally, my husband & I booked another hotel and cut our losses for the rest of our stay. As we checked out prematurely, Mario once again could not have cared less. I'll be taking this up with my CC company. Worst hotel ever!!

Hotel was staff was friendly and welcoming. Our concierge Chris was more than helpful making check in seamless, he did speak English. We stayed on the 10th floor, our room was clean and had a kitchenette that provided filtered water. Our room did smell like sewage but to be fair I think this is a problem through out the city and my only complaint about this hotel. We booked our room to include a continental breakfast and one free spirits per day. We did not receive either. There was only fresh pan dulce in the lobby every morning. If there’s an option to book without the breakfast and spirit, you’re better off saving the money. They had a nice rooftop to catch the sunset. Overall it’s in a great location and within walking distance to many food options and coffee shops.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The service was truly exceptional, with a 24-hour concierge available through WhatsApp who helped us with all our requests, including booking restaurants and activities, which made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. The property is new, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the panoramic suite, which was absolutely stunning—it had breathtaking views and a modern, luxurious design. Highly recommend booking this suite for an unforgettable experience! The breakfast is minimal but still a thoughtful and pleasant touch to start the day. Overall, an outstanding experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

Pros: Very friendly staff (Israel and Manuel at front desk were both pleasant to work with), nice interior design with big windows and modern decor, full kitchen with basic appliance, convenience location, etc. Cons: The water shield of the shower is bad - water leaked everywhere on the bathroom floor and will gradually damage the floor/wall. The bathroom had a terrible sewage odor during my entire stay so I had to keep the bathroom door shut.

Newer property had lots of space, comfy beds and attentive service. We felt so well cared for, especially by Elaina our maid. She was so attentive to details. The location is very walkable to restaurants in Roma Norte. A very wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Awesome design and location, walkable to everything . I had a room on the higher floor and it had fantastic views. The room was well appointed, had great toiletries, little knickknacks that made it feel like home. The inside/outside design of the staircase is beautiful and showcased the thoughtful design. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

The room was well appointed, had great toiletries, little knickknacks that made it feel like home. The inside/outside design of the staircase is beautiful and showcased the thoughtful design. This hotel is very conveniently located. The front desk staff is friendly. The apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen comes with dishes, skillets and silverware. There's a small container of cooking oil but nothing else so bring salt and pepper and whatever else you may need. The stove was impossible to operate because there were no instructions and the fan above didn't work. Maintenance came right away and they replaced the motor of the fan the next day. The stove randomly shut off every couple of minutes. There's also a microwave. Although there are windows, which I opened for a few minutes, there are mosquitoes and they came right in, I wasn't able to find them but they came out to bite me at night so had to sleep with the covers over my head. The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable although I know that's a matter of personal preference.

The rooms are very nice and well-appointed, but our room smelled terrible and there must be someone with like 20 dogs nearby, because they go off barking all together every morning and it’s super loud.

We had a panomaric apartment and it was wonderful. The apartment was fully equipped with a proper kitchen, living room, bathroom essentials and comfortable bed. The hotel is centrally located and a perfect spot to do some exploring by foot. Property is very safe and staff was amazing. Daily housekeeping is a nice touch you won’t get that at typical apartment stays. They have a friendly front desk team. Jessica was lovely and we felt like we had a knowledgeable friend to ask questions and get some tips for our visit. The hotel has two roof decks and even washer and dryer if you needed to do laundry. They had yoga mats for use and we were happy to learn that they are working on a restaurant and cafe to make the property even more appealing. Will definitely stay again.

I’m a first time visitor to Mexico and this was my first stop, for five nights before heading off the beach. This is an apartment block with concierge services, not a hotel, but the staff do a lot to help you. For me this started back in the UK where I was able to text them to arrange an airport pick up (this was much appreciated as I was arriving after a 12-hr flight, in the evening); and even included them going out to BUY an iron for me to use as they didn’t have one but I needed it. The hotel is in a safe location within a short walk to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops. It’s a little noisy as it’s in a busy area (I arrived on a Saturday night and I could hear music from a local club til about 3am) - though this didn’t bother me but if you are a very light sleeper then you may want to consider that (it’s more a point about the neighbourhood than the building - I imagine anywhere around this place will the same). There is no heating or air con though this didn’t bother me as lots of windows - though means a bit more noise. SUPER comfortable bed and I slept really well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ontala Mexico City. The room was huge, and provided us an apartment like feel, rather than a smaller hotel room. It was wonderful to have the living area to use while we took a break from exploring all Mexico City had to offer. I was also able to take a meeting via Zoom and had no problems with the WiFi. The location was perfect - we will central to everything and walking distance to so many incredible restaurants, bars, and much more. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Abraham at the front desk. He welcomed us with such a positive attitude, and kept that welcoming energy our whole stay. Our last day he went above and beyond to plan an itinerary for us in an area we had yet to explore. Thank you Abraham and the entire staff. See you next time we are in Mexico City!

The first review I've ever written but our stay was so awful I have no choice. My husband & I are incredibly well-traveled and have stayed in hotels all over the world. ONTO is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, not even close. A 2 at best and that's a stretch. The point of a hotel is to SLEEP, and it's absolutely impossible to sleep here. The booming nightclub next door had our windows shaking and room vibrating until ~3 am. Sure, the hotel provides cheap earplugs but they didn't help at all. Perhaps the most frustrating though were the dozens of mosquitos in our room. Once we turned the lights off and *attempted* to sleep, we just heard buzzing in our ears and were constantly turning the lights back on to kill them. We weren't able to sleep at all, and found ourselves with countless bites in the morning. Upon speaking to the front desk, they told us they'd swap our room after the first miserable night (though we paid for the most expensive room category, we were more than willing to downgrade if it meant actually getting some rest). The next morning, Mario scoffed at us saying there were no other rooms available. 3 times we asked over the course of 36 hours with zero solution. The second night was no better. Loud noises and endless mosquitos in our room. Finally, my husband & I booked another hotel and cut our losses for the rest of our stay. As we checked out prematurely, Mario once again could not have cared less. I'll be taking this up with my CC company. Worst hotel ever!!

My stay here was wonderful. I highly recommend Onto if you are traveling to Mexico City because it’s near everything. All you have to do is walk out your door and you’re welcomed by a nice neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I also felt super safe here and there is security 24/7. Diego and Chris at the front desk are wonderful and very helpful. I would definitely go back and stay at this location. The only downfall is that they don’t offer double bed options.

Hotel was staff was friendly and welcoming. Our concierge Chris was more than helpful making check in seamless, he did speak English. We stayed on the 10th floor, our room was clean and had a kitchenette that provided filtered water. Our room did smell like sewage but to be fair I think this is a problem through out the city and my only complaint about this hotel. We booked our room to include a continental breakfast and one free spirits per day. We did not receive either. There was only fresh pan dulce in the lobby every morning. If there’s an option to book without the breakfast and spirit, you’re better off saving the money. They had a nice rooftop to catch the sunset. Overall it’s in a great location and within walking distance to many food options and coffee shops.

The building and room were beautiful and this would have been one of our best hotel stays ever! But the bed was so hard and uncomfortable to the point we couldn't sleep and woke up with back issues (we're young adults, fit). We requested to change rooms the first morning but there wasn't any availability so we had to stay. Given the high price tag we paid for this stay we requested the hotel waive the mini bar purchases (5 items at $50) as a sign of understanding. Unfortunately, the staff didn't show any genuine interest about our concern, no follow ups or check-ins or even small signs of understanding, the fact we didn't sleep properly on our vacation in the city all 4 nights meant nothing to them. At check-out the receptionist even told us others have complained about the beds which we didn't see in any of the reviews (and why I'm sharing this here). Despite the receptionist saying they will waive the mini bar charges, they did not and upon returning home the hotel manager is gaslighting us by saying we didn't speak up and there is no record of our complaint - blatant lie. To summarize: beautiful property, just like the pictures, modern, clean, horrible beds and staff that couldn't care less.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The service was truly exceptional, with a 24-hour concierge available through WhatsApp who helped us with all our requests, including booking restaurants and activities, which made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. The property is new, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the panoramic suite, which was absolutely stunning—it had breathtaking views and a modern, luxurious design. Fabulous!! Such a wonderful stay at Onto Tonalá. From checkin to check out lead concierge Israel and his team were white glove service, always available and making sure we were taken care of. The rooms and amenities are beautiful, stylish and clean. The neighborhood so cute. Highly recommend.

Awesome design and location, walkable to everything . I had a room on the higher floor and it had fantastic views. Onto is a very beautiful hotel in a great area. The staff is friendly and does their best to make sure you are comfortable. They have full time security which is consoling. My only gripe is there is no heating and air but that's pretty standard for CDMX, also it's next to a very busy street so if noise bothers you beware. I would stay here again on the highest floor!

My only gripe is there is no heating and air but that's pretty standard for CDMX, also it's next to a very busy street so if noise bothers you beware. I would stay here again on the highest floor!

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. There is air conditioning but the unit is in the living area away from the bedroom. The hotel should have complimentary coffee or beverages in the lobby.

Hotel was staff was friendly and welcoming. Our concierge Chris was more than helpful making check in seamless, he did speak English. We stayed on the 10th floor, our room was clean and had a kitchenette that provided filtered water. Our room did smell like sewage but to be fair I think this is a problem through out the city and my only complaint about this hotel. We booked our room to include a continental breakfast and one free spirits per day. We did not receive either. There was only fresh pan dulce in the lobby every morning. If there’s an option to book without the breakfast and spirit, you’re better off saving the money. They had a nice rooftop to catch the sunset. Overall it’s in a great location and within walking distance to many food options and coffee shops.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The service was truly exceptional, with a 24-hour concierge available through WhatsApp who helped us with all our requests, including booking restaurants and activities, which made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. The property is new, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the panoramic suite, which was absolutely stunning—it had breathtaking views and a modern, luxurious design. Highly recommend booking this suite for an unforgettable experience! The breakfast is minimal but still a thoughtful and pleasant touch to start the day. Overall, an outstanding experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

They had the room earlier than expected. Welcomed with coffee. Mineral water. And sweet bread. Very nice and attentive. It’s really well taken care for but also a couple of months old. I’d come back again easily.

Lovely location right in the heart of Roma Norte. Very walkable to local cafes, shops, restaurants, etc. The city view rooms are large with an apartment style layout. Very well decorated and chic. The additional black out curtains seperating the bedroom from the living area ensured a good night's sleep, along with a spacious and comfortable bed. The shower had excellent pressure along with very hot water. The little kitchen has everything you need should you want to cook, along with a mini fridge well-stocked with drinks and snacks for purchase. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. One of the best hotel stays I've had, and will definitely return next time I am in Mexico City!

This property was beautiful, and every place we wanted to have dinner was within a reasonable walking distance. Before booking, I read several reviews mentioning that the shower had a moldy smell or an unpleasant odor. I did notice a slight smell while showering, but it wasn’t enough to affect our stay. I really appreciated that there was a security guard on the property at all times, which made us feel safe and secure. The lobby staff greeted us every time we came and went, and they were incredibly helpful. We were able to text them 24/7 through WhatsApp for recommendations, assistance, or any questions we had during our stay. The property has been nicely updated, and the air conditioning worked great. Overall, I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.
