The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Romsey, which is very clean with plenty to see, good shopping and good restaurants. Although there is no elevator in the hotel, staff were available to carry up the luggage. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help and assist.

Lovely little rooms (cosy) in the hotel part- very clean and comfortable. Felt the check in process was very drawn out and patronising to be honest- didn't need to take so long. Food was very good, lovely patio area to sit out on. Parking is actually directly behind the hotel albeit a loop drive to find it- but very helpful.

Myself & a group of friends were staying at this hotel for a funeral not far away. Was a bit worried initially that they didn’t have anywhere to park but the info they provided regarding parking was really good and the longstay car park was really not that far away in the end, maybe a 3min walk at most. The rooms were clean & beds comfy. Staff were very helpful & grateful when you pointed out an issue(we had an issue with the drain in our shower). Breakfast was good. And the hotel was positioned very well with plenty of options for food if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. Nice cafe close by also. All round a very good stay.

Excellent and helpful staff. Great dining. Comfortable rooms. The stairs are difficult for those with mobility problems. Finding the parking would have been very difficult without the sat nav but it only a short walk close to hotel. Good for overnight but you have to move after 4 hours during the day. Other parking is farther away.

Lovely and clean hotel - quality furniture and fittings with old world charm. Warm and comfortable, everything working and nice touches like Roberts Radio in room. Staff helpful and attentive and very good food in Bar. A hugely enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing stay. We went over New Year with two dogs. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a New Year’s Eve party going on directly below us and we didn’t hear a thing. Ordered room service and the food was sublime. The dog’s had a turn down service with treats in their bowls. Gorgeous hotel. Amazing staff. Great food. Can’t wait to go back. Don’t be put off by the parking. It’s very easy and close to the hotel and very affordable.

Great hotel in a great area! We enjoyed our stay very much! Staff, food, drinks, all wonderful. The standard rooms are small, but that is clearly indicated when you book. No onsite parking, but its not far. Only a few minutes walk. We are still talking about our stay and hope to be back.

Huge room and bath, but on 3rd floor with no lift. Was very hot. Outdoor seating nice. Had a nice dinner at restaurant, but continental breakfast buffet is sadly lacking. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating.

Lovely little Hotel right in the center of Romsey. Parking is Free in Council Parks from 4pm until 8-30am. Good food in Restaurant for evening meal and also for Breakfast. I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.

The best hotel! Located in the city center, reception staff, delicious sandwiches, very warm. In the room you can choose hot chocolate, coffee, tea. Snow-white clean sheets, comfortable pillows, pleasant smells in the shower. What do you need to relax after a busy day? Hotel "White Horse" By the way, the price per night was very surprising. Thank you to all the employees for their hard work.

Another great stay at The White Horse! Exceptionally clean, quiet, beautiful bar and lounges. Town is quaint and it has an Abbey and river too! Book the Penthouse if you can!! We got a complimentary late check it was much appreciated THANK YOU!!!

It is centrally located in Romsey and is always a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and tidy and the hotel is very comfortable. Staff are friendly and I stay here on business. The only negative is when you decide not to have your room cleaned , they do not replace the cups , coffees and teas unless you tell reception. I did this on the first day and they replaced them but forgot on the second, ended up going to reception and getting them but would of liked them to have just replaced them Staying again next week

The 2 rooms we had were on the top floor and oppressively hot. In excess of 30 degrees C. Whilst it was indeed a hot weekend weather wise, supplying a fan with windows which barely open will never cool down a room. The hotel should invest a small amount of its revenue into proper air conditioning for those rooms. Until they do i will not believe they really care about their customers

Very old historic property, staff were great on arrival along with housekeeping. Unfortunately the room was at the front of the property & the rooms didn’t have air conditioning, we slept with the windows open & at 05:45 the market traders started setting up stalls which broke sleep patterns.

Really great reception from staff on arrival and leaving, really comfortable room which had an addition seat/chair than just bed to sit on. There was also a radio in the room. I requested deacf tea and coffee for the room and that was provided. Nice bathroom. Wifi in room good as well as TV in room.There is no on site parking at this hotel, however the car parks in Romsey do not charge after 4pm until 8am the next day and there are 2 within 5-10 minute walk of hotel.

Lovely room and as always had some quirky features that come with an older property like sash windows and sloppy floors in places. Fabulous staff, very welcoming. Gorgeous upholstery as well around the hotel.

Hotel very central and facilities good, contemporary however tastefully decorated. We ate dinner on the first evening and food was very good. Breakfast was included in our room rate and cooked breakfast was scrummy. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sally in housekeeping.she went out of her way to assist. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case with one staff member on breakfast duty on Sunday & Monday, Jackie either wasn’t familiar with the job or wasn’t interested. Her customer service skills were non existent, made no eye contact and was her attitude was brusque and other guests were unimpressed too. However this would not put me off going again, hopefully more training will be offered to rectify her persona.

Ive stayed there a few times and always had a pleasant experience. Being a solo traveller the friendliness of staff is very important, this time that wasnt apparent. Smashing hotel right in the centre of town. Hotels.com were a pain trying to change a date via virtual agent but Kyle from the hotel was a star and sorted it out for us, so thank you White Horse but a huge thank you to Kyle👍👍

The staff were excellent. Ww were allowed to pre order our evening meal over the phone whilst still driving to the hotel so that we didn't miss the last kitchen order time. The food was excellent as was the service. The room was air conditioned and ore cooled on arrival

A really nice hotel in the centre of Romsey. Parking was easy and only a minute or two from the hotel. Service was great and breakfast very tasty. Will stay again.

Romsey itself is a lovely town, good selection of restaurants etc. The hotel is as central as you could get, but at night time, the streets are very very quiet so no disturbance from there. Excellent hotel in all respects, and a great room!

A lovely hotel in the heart of Romsey.. Lots of lovely nooks & crannies to sit & relax with a drink, a book or friends. Cosy bar area. Staff all lovely very cheerful & helpful. The thing that let it down for us was the food. A good menu with such promise but unfortunately not executed very well and the cooked breakfast was also disappointing. We would stay again but eat elsewhere.

It’s a lovely hotel. Good position and lovely staff. Breakfast very disappointing. Poor quality food. Due to I suspect cost cutting . Not the best full English we have had. Restaurant choices need improving. I find the mattresses very firm in this hotel

The hotel is charming, and beautifully decorated. The staff were all relaxed and friendly, and incredibly helpful. The central location is ideal, but surprisingly quiet. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the Eggs Benedict. It should be ham, not bacon, and the hollandaise was too thick and lumpy. I would happily stay again though.

Lovely and clean hotel - quality furniture and fittings with old world charm. Warm and comfortable, everything working and nice touches like Roberts Radio in room. Staff helpful and attentive and very good food in Bar. A hugely enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Very enjoyable with a comfortable room. Eat dinner in the restaurant. Menu seemed a little limited and not all wines on the list were available. Overall, quite expensive for what we had. However, breakfast was excellent quality and very good value.

Quirky rooms - good booklet about the history of the hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast disappointing on Monday as they had run out of a lot of items after a busy weekend. Shame as there were local shops that could easily have supplied the shortfall

Lovely little Hotel right in the center of Romsey. Parking is Free in Council Parks from 4pm until 8-30am. Good food in Restaurant for evening meal and also for Breakfast. I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.

Nice hotel in the centre of Romsey. The restaurant was very good, marked down as our room didn’t have air con and the sash windows didn’t open properly. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Firstly my wife and I felt threatened by a man welding a 3foot knife at our outdoor table 5:30 pm when he started demanding institutions about sitting and staying and listening to him talking, throwing about 300 pounds in 10 pound notes.across the table. Secondly our room for the night was right above the restaurant and we couldn't hardly get some sleep, as we where due to catch a 4am bus the following day to Dover.
