Motel 6-Greenville, SC - I-85 Near Downtown

Easily checked in and very convenient flexible with my work schedule.. pet friendly

My bed was fine but the rest of the room was rushed clean… housekeepers are lazy. Guest are trifling. The laundry tons of dog hair in the washer and all over the floor. I thought someone washed their dog.

Room was discussing. There was mildew/ mold around the window, random stains on the walls and floor, and the non smoking room smelled like an ashtray...as well as an overwhelming smell of weed. Property was coverd in dog poop. Might have been nice to have bag dispensers around, though people would probably still not use them. The photos and descriptions do NOT match what i experienced. I didn't have super high hopes with it being a Motel 6, but thought maybe it would be decent. Definitely didn't feel comfortable nor safe there. On the plus side i had an inexpensive place to stay and was able to bring my dog for free.

Do not let the outside fool you, inside is TERRIBLE! No outlet covers, pubes in the shower, dirty/stained towels, burn holes in the 1970 blanket on bed, & to top it all off- roaches. We stay at Motel 6's around the US, this one is by far, THE WORST!

I walked across the floor barefoot and the bottoms of my feet turned black. There were cockroaches going up and down the walls and across the floor.

Requested a non-smoking room. It had a non-smoking sticker on the door but was obviously a previous heavy smoker's room with burn marks everywhere and smelt like a fresh pack of cigarettes had been smoked right before I walked in. Shower was dirty. Don't stay unless you like a little dirtiness

Filthy facility. Burn marks on sink, tub and toilet. Smelled horribly like pot. Nasty filthy floors. Smell would not go away. Paid for 2 nights but chose to stay elsewhere the second night because of the noise and the smell in the room. Will be asking for a refund! Nasty! Do not stay here!

The cleanliness of the Hotel is terrible, I had to look for another hotel and in the end I ended up spending more money.

Horrible. Wasn’t clean. Smelly. There was a strong odor of weed through the room. The bathtub wasn’t clean and there was a nasty used moldy rag under the sink. Changed rooms and there was the same issue. Took off the bed sheets and took them to a laundry mat to clean them. Bough cleaning supplies and scrubbed my life away in the tub and toilet. Burn marks everywhere on the sink from people smoking joints or maybe even meth pipes.

Floors and shower were extremely dirty. No soap or shampoo.

The only good part of this was the customer service from the young gentleman helping me up front. He first gave me a room and the smell was disgusting. It smelled like a combinations of cigars and cigarettes with a dash of B.O. no way could I stay there so the young guy up front went and cleaned another room for me. It still smelled like cigarettes but a lot better. The place was disgusting though. The ceiling was leaking and about to cave in. And I killed a couple cockroaches!!! There are also a bunch of shady people everywhere did not feel safe. Never would I ever stay here again. The whole building needs to be torn down.

The room was AWFUL! We clearly had a smoker room after booking nonsmoking. The smoke detector wasn’t even plugged in. The fridge was broken the microwave barely heated our food and the telephone didn’t work. We had to seat up the tv ourselves the damn thing wasn’t even plugged in. The shower had footprints in it. At night the druggies come out and are loud way past midnight. We you finally do fall asleep the “cleaners” are in the next room banging on everything early in the morning. ROACHES!!!!!!

I was doing a stand-up comedy set in the area and needed a place tp stay for the night. For the price, it was very convenient, there was a gas station/BK within walking distance and the staff was very friendly. However there were a few inconveniences with my room. Firstly, both lights on the sides of my bed were out, and I had to make due with the main light and the kitchenette light. Secondly, someone was slamming the door and screaming between Midnight and 2AM and lastly, there was a power outage at 3AM which woke me up. The staff were actually nice about it, and were prompt with my deposit when I check out. Also, there was a strange scent like pumpkin spice and body sweat. The odor was easily fixed by me purchasing some Glade. For what I paid for , it was a good bargain. I highly recommend this room, especially for my stand-up comedy friends who have too far to travel home for the night. If worse comes to worst, you'll have some good material for your next gig!

Great stay. Traveling with my seven year old son and he loves the room. Will stay again! Great for families

There was no hot water, the room was disgusting and recently painted over so very strong odor. The towels were dirty and all appliances were also dirty and i didnt want to use them. The cabinets in the "kitchen" area was screwed shut and still had wood shaving from being screwed shut.

Clean and recently remodeled. Was some noise from the highway (sirens a couple times). Would stay here again.

My stay was okay the refrigerator in my room wasn't working the remote control back was missing I had one dirty dry towel in my room. Then someone came beating on my door around 6:30am looking for someone who might have previously used that room. It was a okay stay the price was right for the stay.

It took a few mins to check in but that was due to a new hire training. The room was clean and more than I expected. I'll be sure to stay here again next time I'm in town.

Firstly, the 100$ deposit threw me off, for what? I didn't bring a pet and do not smoke! Second the bed fell apart while I was asleep, one middle leg and the outter metal frame cover fell off in the middle of the night with a bang, I'm sure the first floor heard it. I saw a few roaches scurrying around too. But I needed a place to eat after the show so I didn't plan on staying long. Don't stay here because it's cheap, it's a flea bag, ramshackle hotel, worse than any super 8s I've stayed in. Now I just hope I can get my deposit back without having to drive back over there!!

When I checked in the lady did not know that there was a Military discount even though it was on the wall as a picture. Then, I had to wait for her to walk the property to find a room with a working a/c. Once in my room, found roaches in the room, it smelled like someone was just in there smoking a cigarette, the TV was on as if someone was just in there, and the bed was not made properly, like someone was just in there. Then when asked if we could get another bath towel, we were told no only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per room. That was not enough for my husband and myself.

Did not like that they asked for your PIN number as you could not go in to the desk but had to register at a window outside. They should bring the machine to the window if they won't let you go in. I realize it is for security but they need a redesign to also protect the privacy of guests.

Not only is there an apparent lack of understanding as to how a check-out time works (10:00 am reminder, apparently), there’s also a problem with the staff. The gentleman who ran the counter during the day repeatedly made rude, unnecessary comments; in addition, he shouted at me to provide a PIN number… Not something I’d expect to provide verbally for the gentleman sitting at the counter, considering I was outside (next to other customers) due to their covid regulations requiring them to use the ‘night window’. The floor was dirty when I walked into the room. I found several roaches in my room during my stay. The bathroom (room 263) had a very bad, long-term smoke/mold/mildew smell. Even opening the bathroom door made it reek. To add insult to injury, upon checkout I was informed of an ‘additional $10/night fee for my dog’. Several issues with this - first of which being that my dog was WITH ME at check-in. Not only that, but when I extended, I had her with me at least once. Upon checking out, I was informed this means I lose my $50 deposit. There were constant gunshots ringing out from across Augusta, and this is several nights in a row (stopping around 11 pm-12 am). There were police officers there at least 3 days of my 5-day stay, including one night where there were 3 police cars parked in the lot. The area is pretty bad, to say the least. The Burger King/Spinx next door had police there nearly every night, for perspective. 0/5. Would not recommend.

Staff was stellar. They could have worked at luxury hotels based on their customer service. They were amazing! I would definitely stay there again!

The staff are always friendly and very accommodating. When I'm staying in Greenville this is where I go.

The shower walls were very dirty and needed cleaning. The floor throughout my room was very dirty. Also the bed sheets didn't look clean and the comforter on the bed was also dirty. With all the people standing around in the hallways and around the parking lot, I didn't feel very safe
