The property and staff where wonderful the only thing was the room was right over the bar so it was quite noisy till 11.30 as it was the last room available we could not be moved but it did not spoil the short break we would still return to the same hotel because the staff and food was brilliant

The Dock was fabulous and exactly what I was hoping to achieve for a 1 night stay between my work days. I was gutted as I’d heard so much about the breakfast but I ended up being in such a rush so didn’t have time to have a full English but the lush lady behind the kitchen counter asked me if I wanted a sandwich making to take away. She made me a huge and the best tasting bacon sarnie with a latte to take away (proper fresh brewed coffee) she saved my bacon literally haha. As I didn’t eat again that day until 6pm! I stayed in a single room. My bed was so comfy, whole room and bathroom were immaculate and I had a full range of hot drinks to make and a biscuit selection which was welcome after a busy day. Lady who checked me in was lovely. I had to walk into the pub to check in as I checked in quite late in the night but I was expecting that as I knew what I had booked. I didn’t get to explore Amble but from what I even saw in the dark, the hotel is in a fab location. I even had a little view of what I assume was Amble Dock. Can’t fault the hotel or staff or food at all! 10/10 will definitely stay again

The room itself was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was both hot and powerful. The real highlight, though, was the breakfast. There was an impressive selection—cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, a choice of cooked breakfasts, and freshly brewed coffee. It was the perfect way to fuel up before setting off on our ride. About 25 miles into our journey, I realised I had left my phone in the room. I called the hotel, and they kindly arranged next-day priority delivery so it was waiting for me when I got home. I was so grateful for their helpfulness. Thank you to the team at Dock Hotel—I hope to visit Amble and your lovely hotel again soon. Highly recommended!

Lovely place. Room was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was modern & gleaming. Slight mix up over bed type was quickly sorted while we had a complimentary drink in the beer garden. The room had a nice view over grass onto the sea / estuary. The beds were so comfortable, I didn’t want to get up & pack to come home. The only thing we found missing in the room was a bin, but we just brought the one out of the bathroom. Included breakfast was served in their cafe and it was gorgeous. A real gem of a B&B and well worth the price we paid.

Great stay. Single beds a bit too small. Massive quilts on them but it was so hot we didn’t need them. Room was very clean. Breakfast was amazing. Nice beer garden to the rear. Overall really good

The building is on a busy street with limited parking. The rooms are clean and adequate, separate entrance from the pub but the lock on the outside door broken. Rooms are clean and have tea/coffee and biscuits. No bathroom toiletries but plenty towels. No wardrobe just a rack to hang coats on. I would love to have been able to give this hotel a higher rating as the beds were comfy but the NOISE at night... ear plugs were provided but I always bring my own which usually serve me well. All night and peaking at 2am the cacophony from the downstairs pub, street noise and boom boom of cars on the road conquers any noise I have ever been subjected to in any part of the world that I have travelled including international major cities and hostels. If you want a good nights sleep this is definitely not the place.

Newly-refurbished, pristine, clean room. Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff gave information on local area and events. Enormous breakfast of champions—full English and vegetarian options. 5 minutes from sea front/marina/Sunday market Fantastic location for walking, cycling, driving around the area. Had a wonderful 2 night/3 day stay. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem, perfectly located , rooms immaculate and had great view , staff helpful and friendly and a full english 2nd to none , highly reccomend .. will definitely stay again next time in Amble

Lady who checked me in was lovely. I had to walk into the pub to check in as I checked in quite late in the night but I was expecting that as I knew what I had booked. I didn’t get to explore Amble but from what I even saw in the dark, the hotel is in a fab location. I even had a little view of what I assume was Amble Dock. Can’t fault the hotel or staff or food at all! 10/10 will definitely stay again

I had a wonderful stay at the Dock Hotel. When we arrived by bike, we were given a warm welcome and shown to a secure place to store the bikes, which was a great start. The room itself was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was both hot and powerful. The real highlight, though, was the breakfast. There was an impressive selection—cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, a choice of cooked breakfasts, and freshly brewed coffee. It was the perfect way to fuel up before setting off on our ride. About 25 miles into our journey, I realised I had left my phone in the room. I called the hotel, and they kindly arranged next-day priority delivery so it was waiting for me when I got home. I was so grateful for their helpfulness. Thank you to the team at Dock Hotel—I hope to visit Amble and your lovely hotel again soon. Highly recommended!

Lovely place. Room was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was modern & gleaming. Slight mix up over bed type was quickly sorted while we had a complimentary drink in the beer garden. The room had a nice view over grass onto the sea / estuary. The beds were so comfortable, I didn’t want to get up & pack to come home. The only thing we found missing in the room was a bin, but we just brought the one out of the bathroom. Included breakfast was served in their cafe and it was gorgeous. A real gem of a B&B and well worth the price we paid.

Newly-refurbished, pristine, clean room. Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff gave information on local area and events. Enormous breakfast of champions—full English and vegetarian options. 5 minutes from sea front/marina/Sunday market Fantastic location for walking, cycling, driving around the area. Had a wonderful 2 night/3 day stay. Highly recommended.

The building is on a busy street with limited parking. The rooms are clean and adequate, separate entrance from the pub but the lock on the outside door broken. Rooms are clean and have tea/coffee and biscuits. No bathroom toiletries but plenty towels. No wardrobe just a rack to hang coats on. I would love to have been able to give this hotel a higher rating as the beds were comfy but the NOISE at night... ear plugs were provided but I always bring my own which usually serve me well. All night and peaking at 2am the cacophony from the downstairs pub, street noise and boom boom of cars on the road conquers any noise I have ever been subjected to in any part of the world that I have travelled including international major cities and hostels. If you want a good nights sleep this is definitely not the place.

The rooms are above the pub. Twin rooms are larger than the doubles. Staff are lovely; breakyis extensive and served by a very friendly team. Being on the high street, we thought it may be noisy, but it wasn’t. Parking is on the road and between 5 pm and 9 am Monday to Saturday. Other times you only get an hour. Additional parking towards the harbour.
