The complimentary breakfast was GREAT! Lots of items to choose and eat. The swimming pool was opened 24 hours! That means anyone who runs on different times can enjoy a little swimming during their stay. Awesome hours!

Good breakfast. The property is in the middle of a remodel which is fine, but common areas were a bit dirty. The room was mostly clean but had old doors and the morning we left the ceiling started dripping water from a leaky pipe. It was very convenient as far as getting to and from the freeway and our concert venue. I would probably stay here again but hopefully after the remodel is finished.

Nice property, clean rooms, decent breakfast, pool wasn’t crowded at all and open 24 hours! Great value.

The Good- The staff was super nice, polite, helpful, professional. The continental breakfast was fantastic. There was free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea in the lobby 24/7. The property was very clean, considering it has been under construction for a while. The Bad- The website shows a small but beautiful "business center" with 2 computers and a printer, so we left our laptop at home. When we got to the hotel, we found out that the business center was closed due to remodeling. Somebody should update the website to let people know about the construction and that they should bring their own computer because the business center is not available at this time.

Room was nice, Lobby and grounds were under construction. Only has 1 elevator and it went out of service when we were leaving. Had to carry our luggage down the stairs from 3rd floor.

Stayed here night before heading back home out of PDX. Good spacious rooms. Solid breakfast. Reasonable price. Good location. Had a good time in pool and hot tub as well. Would stay here again.

The trip would've been better if construction wasn't happening directly below my room. I would've booked somewhere eles if i had a warning this was happening. That particular room shouldn't have been rented out. The noise from the construction was unbearable.

The building is older and needs some minor repairs. My bed was comfortable but is showing wear. My room had a piece dental floss left in the shower and a fruit snack wrapper on the floor. Other than that it was clean. With a bunch of volleyball players and a full hotel it was a quiet and peaceful stay.

This is absolutely the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. I booked three rooms for a family trip and all three rooms smelled of stale cigarettes. Carpets were not vacuumed. My shower wall was dirty. The window in my room was partially opened and would not close all the way and the lock was broken. The coffee makers all needed cleaned out. The coffee we made in them tasted awful. The staff was slow and lazy. The breakfast was terrible and mostly cold. The person on the front desk in the morning was too busy on her phone to be bothered with her job. I will never stay here again.

Arrived at 4:30 pm and room was not available despite posted check in time. Very noisy hotel with some kind of mechanical noise coming through the wall. Carpet stained and shower not fully cleaned from last guest. Breakfast items almost all gone and not restocked at 9am.

I stayed at this hotel from July 19–21, 2025, with my two toddlers, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start — and ended with a serious safety concern. I originally booked a room that I believed included two queen beds and a pullout couch. When I called the day of check-in to confirm, I was told it was just a standard room, and there were no upgrades available due to being sold out. I asked for extra pillows and blankets for my kids and was told they were limited. The room was cramped, with not enough towels or bedding, and overall not family-friendly. The next morning, I requested new bedding because my toddler had a nighttime accident. Housekeeping didn’t come until after 4 PM, and even then, trash was left behind and towels were still lacking. The most alarming issue happened that evening — I walked out of the bathroom to find a chemical spray bottle left behind by housekeeping on the nightstand, and my 1-year-old had gotten hold of it and was spraying it. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous. I’m a licensed foster parent and have worked in hotel management — I know this should never happen. That kind of negligence could have landed us in the hospital. I reached out to management to give them a chance to make it right, and I hope they follow through. I would not recommend this location to families with young children until safety protocols are thoroughly addressed.

The property was the second holiday inn we have stayed at for this trip. The staff was always helpful, and the cleaning staff was always busy and did good work. The gym and pool were just fine for what we needed. The morning breakfast and coffee were always well stocked and varied Our literal biggest hassle was the key cards never working. During our two days there we had to get rekeyed 6 times. The last time we were told it was a bad batch of cards they were trying to get through. Maybe just toss that box and use the ones that work? On our last day there was a line of ants in the kitchen. Not pleasant, but even less so when my wife found them crawling all over her after breakfast I don’t know if this was just an owner that’s cheap and doesn’t want to fix small things or what it might be but don’t take this as any kind of indictment against the staff there. Always helpful and always pleasant

Check-in was 4pm. Arrived around 4:20pm and there was no room available because housekeeping had not gotten rooms clean. Staff stated it was because of late check-outs. I had to stand there and wait for 25 minutes to even have a room. They never compensated me for anything, I was late for my event as well. When we got to the room, the bedding felt damp and not completely finished being cleaned. I also didn’t like that there was one small elevator and the operation license had expired two years ago, that’s a little concerning. One good thing was breakfast the next day was good. Overall, I was not happy with the stay at the hotel.

The room smelled awful

The staff always impacts my decision whether to return to a hotel or not. Their staff was excellent. Very professional and kind.The breakfast selections were tasty and well presented. The room was clean and everything functioned well. The amount of lighting was just right. I have stayed in hotels where the room was so dimly lit, you couldn't tell if it was clean. I would stay again.

Both the employee working the front desk when we checked in and checked out where incredibly rude. The police where in the lobby arresting someone when we came back from dinner.. there was dead bugs in our room. No towels in the pool area.. for how much we paid to stay it was absolutely terrible. Never ever ever again.

Not a single USB port in the room.

The room we reserved (king bed) was not available. We were provided a room with two queens - which is not what we wanted. Aside from that, all was good

The bed was way too soft. I have back issues, and it was too uncomfortable. Also there was a weird noise through the night. Sounded like the cylons from Battlestar Galactica!

There were a few noise issues with the fridge in our room Other than that our room was situated in a quiet area

We did not get the room we reserved. When we arrived we were put into a smaller double handicapped room with our children all 3 had to share one bed. The motel was overbooked by 2 rooms and there was nothing them we could do. Then the hotel charges us an additional fee for staying there besides the money we paid Expedia.

Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and accommodating, pool was clean and spacious, room was clean, bed was VERY comfortable, and breakfast was complimentary. Couldn’t ask for more!

The service and room were excellent, but they cheaped out on construction. Every time the main door opens my bed would vibrate and the noise was terrible when you are trying to sleep. Also, you can hear the elevator going up and down. They didn't sound proof between the electric divises and room 206.

Our room was very loud at night sitting right above the main doors. We also didn’t get the bathtub that was advertised and instead had a shower. A nice shower! But not nice for bathing small children. Staff was really nice and the pool was newly reopened the day after we arrived. Wish it would have been open day 1 but at least we got some time in it! Room was old but cleaned very well. All but 1 staff member was exceptional and kind. Would absolutely not stay again as a family. Especially as one of the most expensive hotels in the area.

Room was newly renovated, so very nice. The room heater temp ran a bit high, so we figured out how low to set it (68) to feel normal. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean, and breakfast was on point with the pancake robot!!!

Our room was spacious and had a little chaise lounge which I enjoyed. The front desk was helpful when looking for dinner. It was very comfortable and the location was safe and clean

The staff were excellent and went above and beyond! Im travelling with my two very little children by myself and my car batter died at checkout. Becky at the front desk saw my hood up and sent their maintenance worker out to investigate. The GM pulled up with her own car to give me a jump! Would absolutely stay here again!

Terrible Experience with Rude Staff. My recent stay at Holiday Inn Express Vancouver North Salmon Creek was extremely disappointing, and it all stems from a disturbing incident that occurred late at night. Around 1 AM, my friends and I (four women) were startled by a loud knocking at our door. Naturally, we were hesitant to answer given the late hour and the aggressive manner in which the person was knocking and yelling. After several minutes of this individual banging on our door and threatening to evict us and call the police, we cautiously opened it, only to discover that it was the front desk employee, Jeremy. He was furious and immediately began shouting at us for what he claimed was a noise complaint due to our TV being too loud and some laughing. While we understand and respect the need for quiet hours (which we were then informed began at 10 PM), the way he handled the situation was completely unacceptable. Instead of calmly addressing the issue, Jeremy was aggressive, rude, and unprofessional. His behavior was intimidating, especially for a group of women alone in a hotel room at that hour. There are far more appropriate ways to handle noise complaints than pounding on a door and yelling. This experience left us feeling unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. I would expect much better from hotel staff, and I hope this review serves as a warning for others. Management needs to seriously consider addressing how their employees interact with guests. It’s unfortunate

They still haven't released my $25 deposit x2 for our last stay.......almost one month later!!! I tried calling the property directly and was hung up on twice!!

The front desk manager was extremely rude and disrespectful towards guests that had concerns about noise. She was hostile and rude, and did not address the noise issue when brought to her attention. I will never stay at this hotel again!!! She shouldn’t be in customer service. The hotel grounds outside were disgusting and full of cigarette butts. There were people smoking right outside the front door and nothing was done about it. The worst stay ever.

The staff was amazing. Super helpful and made that part of the stay awesome. The only reason for the low star overall was not the hotel, but our neighbors who were apparently lawyers and decided to have a boisterous meeting at 2:00 in the morning for 45 minutes. Couldn't reach front desk to complain and it's the one time I have ever been so angry i actually hiked down to the desk to get them to quiet down so we could get the grandkids back to sleep

Al at the desk was amazing. Al was very helpful throughout our stay. I had a special UPS delivery and she made sure I was aware of it. She also had to deal with a very disruptive guest the night before our last day. This gentleman was so disruptive, the police trespassed him. He had been rude to our daughter. Al made a special effort to come to our room to reassure her

The staff was great and the hotel room was fine. The pancake machine was out of order, but otherwise there were the usual breakfast options. The hotel itself is in a parking lot off a couple busy streets and a few blocks and a bus transfer away from downtown. It's a functional location to be if you are going somewhere else.

Convenient access off I-5 freeway. Safe and quiet plus easy parking. Disappointment was room reservation "with added living space" but to me it was just a standard two queen bedroom. No momentary visitation space for guests which fortunately didn't show anyway. Plus side to room was being on first floor and near breakfast lounge.

Hard to find- make sure not to enter “st” instead of “Ave” in navigations! Even after putting in the right address it took us a few tries driving around Vancouver, Camas, back to Portland at one point. It was clean and quiet. Bed was a little hard. Soap was breaking off the wall, toilet seat fell off when opened. I wish there were some restaurants within walking distance, but there were some within a 5 minute drive. I also wish there would be some bottled water and/or other drinks offered. We didn’t even see a vending machine. A small convenience section in the lobby would have been nice, especially since there were no convenience or grocery stores close by within walking distance.

Nice clean convenient hotel within 3 miles of Cascades ampitheater. Good selection of restaurants and Safeway within 1/2 mile. Staff and check were great!

We had a very pleasant stay here. Staff was friendly, breakfast was ok. Location was very convenient for us. A little away from all the traffic and congestion but close to freeways. We were very comfortable here.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and housekeeping was provided each day. The breakfast was better than most, especially considering they had a large group of school children staying there. The gym was in great condition.

It was great! Newly remodeled and in a great area. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. We were originally at another hotel in the area, and when we extended our stay in the Salmon Creek area, we chose to move to this hotel. It was a great decision and in a much better area. If I could give one critique it would be that the people in charge of breakfast need to be proactive about the food, instead of reactive. A bit more wait on buffet food than there should have been. A simple check to see how much food was left could have solved and been an easy fix, and there wouldn’t be any frustrated guests.

Breakfast included fruits and a variety of protein options, toast, pancakes,pastry, cereal and yogurt
