Super 8 by Wyndham Port Arthur/Nederland Area

The air conditioner in the hall was not working at all. It was so hot in the hallway. The air conditioner in the room did not work well. I had the air on 65 the entire night and I woke up in the middle of the night sweating. When I checked into the room, there were fries on the floor, burns, cuts and gum stuck to the desk chair. The room was not clean. I hope in the future this helps you all to do better. The breakfast was filled with low value things and uncooked bacon. If I didn’t have to stay for work I would have checked right back out.

Jacuzzi tub in room didn’t work I got sick from mold smell pool wasn’t working and they sent us to a sister property to swim that pool was dirty ac took 4 hrs to cool the room off

Hot tub not working. Breakfast area was nice.

We had planned on spending time in the hot tub. It was broken. After thinking about it, when we stayed here in October we heard the same thing, "they were ordering the part". Hot tub and pool the same temp. Two chances are all you get. We won't be back.

It’s seems they are remodeling because there was painters tape on walls and half painted hallways. The room was too large for the AC to completely cool down. Quiet and clean room. 3 star hotel

Clean room. Hall Carpet needs a very good cleaning. Musty smell in the hallways. Could use some cosmetic help.

Front desk took too long when there was only two people, and it was already in the evening, room had a weird smell and had a humidifier in it, which I’ve never seen in a room, the swimming pool looked like it needed to be scrubbed

It’s was dirty and had insects the employees were very rude and didn’t want to give me breakfast, which came With room

The size of the room was nice and big. Plus the bathroom was extra big and i liked not having the shower and the bathroom sink in same room, that made it nice cuz you didnt have to wait for the other person to get finished in the bathroom. The only thing that was bad was it had a smell like a mildew ordor…..

There was a roach in our room and there was a sign on the mirror stating that they only wash the sheets and towels every three days.

Had a couple of roaches in our room!

It was good enough for the one-night stay and inexpensive. Breakfast was served around 7:00 a.m., and it was mostly cold items. Rooms were clean but had old house smell. also we had a visit of a Huge Red cockroach in the bathroom

Management was super nice and helpful. Room was super clean. Housekeeping did a great job each day .

The only problem was it was really noise I could rest well I saw a couple of roach in my room plus it smells a lot like mold in the rooms ,but I love the rooms and staff and convenient to my husband he locked up down there in port Arthur and the place where he is just 9 minutes away so I love to stay here to be close to him every 1 st weekend of the months I get to visit him

I decided to book a room at the Super 8 / Port Arthur after losing power in Houston. Check in wasn't an issue and I was in my room in no time. Plenty of restaurants within driving/walking distance. The only complaint with the property was that the walls were thin and other guest got a little loud after sundown.

Walked in smelled like weed - room was 80 degrees Toilet didn’t flush then was told Mai would be in by noon Just terrible would not recommend

There was an odor that was not inviting. The rooms are old and outdated. Really did not like the way the room was organized. the bathroom sink is outside of the room near the entrance. It definitely need updating.

My stay was a bit stressful. I could not get local channels on the TV. The manager couldnt either. The maintenance man came, however I was getting ready to leave.

The property was fine. However, I was offered early check-out in the app as I completed the pre-check-in process. I declined it, but then changed my mind. When I arrived at the desk, the desk clerk was on the phone correcting a billing issue. Instead of politely greeting me, she pointed to a chair and told me to take a seat and wait. When she completed the call, she did say hello, and when asked if I could have early check-out she said it was not allowed. I did not dispute her statement. The next day at check-out, I had a similar experience with the same young lady. As I approached the desk to check out, I was greeted by a maintenance lady who was sweeping the floor. The young lady was on the phone again addressing another billing issue. I stood there for a minute as she continued talking, but not acknowledging me. The woman who greeted me prompted her to assist me by stating to her that she had a customer to assist. The young woman hung up the phone, and I gave her the key card. I was attempting to share with her that early check-out was offered in the app, and they may want to change that, but she kept speaking over me. I paused to let her make her statement, and then shared the information with her. While the facilities were fine, the young desk clerk's demeanor was off-putting. I hope she just had two difficult days, and this is not her normal demeanor. However, I visit the area quarterly and generally stay overnight 1-3 nights; I would not stay here again.

I have stayed her a few times for 4-5 days at a time for work. Management and front desk has always been great on checking me in and out and any questions or taking care of issues I had. This last time I brought my teen age daughter with me and everything went smoothly.

Great property we stay here everytime me and my family come to Port Arthur Tx . We have no complaints at all . Clean , safe and restaurant walking distance from motel
