Had an Amazing stay at the saddlery! Went to visit my son at college! Right across from lake! You could smell the lake air getting out of the car while parking! Excellent parking right behind the building! Very cute lobby, room was excellent! Very warm and inviting! Will definitely stay here again! From the charm/cleanliness/ great location/ even the soap and shampoo smelled lovely! Thanks for the great stay! What a gem 😀

Pros: lovely views, nice kitchen, washer and dryer.spacious unit. Pet friendly. Walkable to lots of sights, the lake, and restaurants. Cons: Other than views, I felt the area was just okay. Very much a self service situation more like an AirBnB. Finishes were not quite as high end as I had hoped. Parking was an extra fee for outdoor unattended lot.

We had a nice time while here. Beautiful building, however it was a bit hard to navigate, particularly the back door to where our cars were parked. The room was great, pull out couch wasn't comfortable but other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

It was a wonderful stay! Everything was so perfect in our apartment. It was well appointed and very clean. I loved having the gym in the L, too. The location was great with the lake view, many nice restaurants, and parks nearby. I would definitely come stay with you again and I would recommend you to friends which I have already!! Thank you for everything!

We were very pleased with our stay. Our room looked exactly what was shown on their website. Was clean and well kept. Prompt with responding back to questions. The roof top was an extra perk that we really enjoyed at night. Loved how close we were to the Dane County Farmers Market (less than 10min walk). Would definitely stay here again 🙂

Great location! Rooftop is a nice touch. Amazing water pressure and large accommodations. Went for business but would say an extended stay would make this feel like a home away from home!

We had a great 2-night stay at the Saddlery when dropping off our Freshman at U-Madison. We had a lovely view of Lake Monona, and our 2-bedroom unit was great for the three of us, plus extra space to stash all of our kiddo's dorm stuff for the night (didn't want to leave it in the car). Everything seemed new, and we appreciated the kitchen for breakfast! I will say that neither of our bedrooms had windows - they were on the interior of the unit. But the bedrooms had ceiling fans so that helped (we are a windows open every night kind of family), and the unit had A/C so for most it won't be an issue. There is a cute roof-top patio for the whole building, also with a killer lake view. Beds were comfy, the unit was super clean. A minor bathroom sink drain issue was resolved immediately. It's a little off the beaten path if you are spending a lot of time at the University, but we like to walk, took the bus a bit, and appreciated the extra space and that view when we returned to the unit. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well.

It was a really nice space, and the location is good. On the minus, Finishings in the place were pretty basic for the nightly rate. Only two coffee pods too and you have to pay for parking were the down sides

A wonderfully, unique place within walking distance of entertainment and food. Our room had a lake view and was very clean. We enjoyed some time on the rooftop balcony and walked the lakeside trail. Definitely could’ve stayed comfortably for longer!

We had a great stay. The Saddlery was the perfect place for our son’s Iron Man event. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great communication and very welcoming staff.

This is a great alternative to a hotel. Large living space with two bedrooms. A little sterile in terms of furnishings in the living room, but the place was clean and the kitchen had what you needed for a quick meal. Bathrooms were clean and bedrooms were private. Staff was not on site during my visit, but they took care of whatever we needed via telephone. Close to capital, lake trail and plenty of restaurants.

Very nice setting. Comfortable renovated saddlery building. Very convenient to walk to restaurants and events. Only complaint has to do with the lack of sound barriers between units. It sounded like our neighbors were in our unit. Otherwise, a very nice place.

A wonderfully, unique place within walking distance of entertainment and food. Our room had a lake view and was very clean. We enjoyed some time on the rooftop balcony and walked the lakeside trail. Definitely could’ve stayed comfortably for longer!

Great property - very trendy! Desk staff was helpful when I called! Check in was a breeze. Construction around that area is horrendous with roads, sidewalks torn up and dust everywhere. Nothing you can do about that let’s just hope the project is completed soon.

We were very pleased with our stay. Our room looked exactly what was shown on their website. Was clean and well kept. Prompt with responding back to questions. The roof top was an extra perk that we really enjoyed at night. Loved how close we were to the Dane County Farmers Market (less than 10min walk). Would definitely stay here again 🙂

We stayed one night in an area with few people and in a hotel that’s unattended on weekends. It wasn’t especially spooky, but the Bladerunner vibe is what we will remember.

We had a great 2-night stay at the Saddlery when dropping off our Freshman at U-Madison. We had a lovely view of Lake Monona, and our 2-bedroom unit was great for the three of us, plus extra space to stash all of our kiddo's dorm stuff for the night (didn't want to leave it in the car). Everything seemed new, and we appreciated the kitchen for breakfast! I will say that neither of our bedrooms had windows - they were on the interior of the unit. But the bedrooms had ceiling fans so that helped (we are a windows open every night kind of family), and the unit had A/C so for most it won't be an issue. There is a cute roof-top patio for the whole building, also with a killer lake view. Beds were comfy, the unit was super clean. A minor bathroom sink drain issue was resolved immediately. It's a little off the beaten path if you are spending a lot of time at the University, but we like to walk, took the bus a bit, and appreciated the extra space and that view when we returned to the unit. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well.

We had a great stay. The Saddlery was the perfect place for our son’s Iron Man event. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great communication and very welcoming staff.

This is a great alternative to a hotel. Large living space with two bedrooms. A little sterile in terms of furnishings in the living room, but the place was clean and the kitchen had what you needed for a quick meal. Bathrooms were clean and bedrooms were private. Staff was not on site during my visit, but they took care of whatever we needed via telephone. Close to capital, lake trail and plenty of restaurants.

Had an Amazing stay at the saddlery! Went to visit my son at college! Right across from lake! You could smell the lake air getting out of the car while parking! Excellent parking right behind the building! Very cute lobby, room was excellent! Very warm and inviting! Will definitely stay here again! From the charm/cleanliness/ great location/ even the soap and shampoo smelled lovely! Thanks for the great stay! What a gem 😀

Très décevant, le logement du dessus en fait habite littéralement avec nous, j'ai cru que la télévision était en fonctionnement mais sans l'écran, hé non c'était celle du voisin, plus tous les autres bruits ! pas de fenêtre dans les chambres et pour la 302 pas de vue sur la lac. Propreté moyenne, pas de porte manteaux, et impossible de repasser !

The top of the window shades had lots of spider webs. The second bedroom hat no closet and not even a table or dresser to store clothes. Who ever heard of a washer and dryer in the bedroom??? It’s not really a two bedroom unit.

It was more like an upscale condo, than a hotel. Close to everything. It was spacious, comfortable and just as shown in their photos. Full kitchen with island, full size fridge, washer and dryer. Staff was very responsive and helpful.

The Saddlery was an excellent place for my family to stay while we were in Madison. The hotel is ideal for families with young children with multiple bedrooms and a nice common area with great views of Lake Monona. The room was clean with a well supplied kitchen and washer/dryer. The location is in a very walkable part of town, minutes from restaurants, the state capitol, and access to city bus lines. Highly recommended!
