We had a very nice stay here. No complaints. There is a nice bar with a big rooftop deck. Included a modest but adequate breakfast of coffee, fruit and pastries.

The Carpentry has an amazing ambiance when first entering. The sight, the smell, the check-in were all A+. The young man on swing shift was so great, I wish I remembered his name because he was the best! The room was great and comfortable. Now for the bad. The maid crew was deplorable. Didn't follow directions. Didn't clean off the sheets, sweep the floor, or clean out the shower area. They were doing construction all around the hotel, so there was limited parking, and dust was everywhere. The maid staff left my door open!!!!! We stayed for 4 days. Who doesn't know how to close a door? Thankfully, nobody came in (seemingly) while we were gone. The manager and front desk did work with us (which I greatly appreciated), but it sucks when you have to do the maid's job and change your own sheets two nights in a row. This would have been a really great experience were it not for the maid staff.

What an amazing little gem! The hotel was very clean and inviting, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was a nice extra perk, the bar was phenomenal (the rooftop domes were a delightful surprise), and the staff was hospitable and accommodating. I'm already planning a trip back for no reason other than I enjoyed my stay and want to repeat the experience.

Nice hotel. The problem, there is NO PARKING!! We drove around the “parking lot” 3 times and luckily someone finally left. Otherwise I have no idea where we would have parked. Maybe it’s due to road construction around the property, but the lack of parking was a total disaster.

Very clean well kept boutique hotel. So much better than the big chain hotels Would definitely recommend and come back. Were returning from Florida great place to stay. Decor was interesting theme for what Dalton is known for.

First and foremost, the location is great. The hotel itself is very charming and quiet. You are able to walk to downtown easily. Plenty of restaurants near by. The bar on the second floor is good , especially when the weather is nice. The reception was warm and welcoming from the time you arrived until the time you left. My only complaints are the price and the room service. Meaning when they come and clean. I was in town for work for 4 days and no one cleaned at all, even when I stuck the sign on the door. Not a deal breaker but for the prices, I would expect at least a change of towels within that time period.

My family and I have stayed here a couple of times now. The staff is always super friendly and the rooms are typically tip top shape. However, this time... not so much. The floor in our room was sticky, there was (what I assume) a used straw next to the bed in plain sight, a hair in the top drawer of the dresser, hair on the bathroom floors and the towels never smelt fresh. Hoping this was just a blip. Fingers crossed for a better experience next time around.

Awesome location, loved the rooftop lounge/breakfast area. I only wished it was restocked more often. I think a wedding party decimated the continental breakfast at one point. Great rooms, bathroom not very private tho. I’d still recommend to ppl, took a biz card to do so. If only the roads were not being worked in around the property, walking to various places would have been more than excellent!

The hotel was great! There was a lot of construction going on, but we couldn’t hear it from our room and that’s not the hotels fault. Beds were great, Internet was great, but there is no pool in case you have kids that would like that. There is a nice rooftop bar but drinks are overly expensive, more like you see at a high end restaurant. And just know that the “free breakfast” is a few muffins, a couple pieces of fruit, and coffee. It is not a normal hotel breakfast. Would be a great hotel for someone here on business but not a family hotel. Staff was very nice and professional.

I like decorative hotel with decorative rooms really nice feeling to stay. Feeling was royal. Definitely will come back and tell all the family members and friends to stay. Only thing was for my concern was stand up shower needs closer while shower because water was spraying into floor .

This place is fantastic. It’s one of those rare treasures where you hesitate to leave a review so there’s a room available when you want it, but that would be selfish so I will share my experience. Owners are awesome, staff is awesome and the town has great food and shopping just a short walk away.

This hotel features a huge bar on the same floor as the hotel rooms. The booming music from the bar went on till past midnight. Drunk patrons from the bar kept us up and unable to sleep. At one point at about 1 AM a couple had a huge verbal fight in the hall. I called the front desk, and i dont really think they cared too much about it. Our conclusion is that the primary business on the premisses is the bar and the guests who use it have the option of renting a room. The room was clean an ordinarily would have been very nice for a hotel room. I would not recommend this to anyone who isnt planning to hang out in the bar. Definitely not a place for families or anyone needing to sleep.

The Hotel was nice, clean and was a convenient location. I wish there had of been better amenities and was very disappointed in the “free breakfast”. Overall though it was a beautiful hotel and it was a great place to stay. The staff was amazing. Especially the dark haired you man with glasses, I can’t remember his name.

This is a charming beautiful hotel. Unique decorations. Room is beautiful. Staff contacted me this morning and added a personal touch expecting our arrival. Front desk staff was very kind and quickly checked us in and gave us facts about our stay. We went for cocktail after dinner and Alec was great.

Awesome location, loved the rooftop lounge/breakfast area. I only wished it was restocked more often. I think a wedding party decimated the continental breakfast at one point. Great rooms, bathroom not very private tho. I’d still recommend to ppl, took a biz card to do so. If only the roads were not being worked in around the property, walking to various places would have been more than excellent!

Awesome hotel in the heart of a beautifully renovated downtown Dalton. Such a great add to Dalton. I highly recommend a stay here. Very clean, good service, beautifully decorated halls and rooms and awesome outside deck overlooking the city for my morning coffee.

This place is fantastic. It’s one of those rare treasures where you hesitate to leave a review so there’s a room available when you want it, but that would be selfish so I will share my experience. Owners are awesome, staff is awesome and the town has great food and shopping just a short walk away.

We had a very nice stay here. No complaints. There is a nice bar with a big rooftop deck. Included a modest but adequate breakfast of coffee, fruit and pastries.

The hotel was cute and the room was nice. They email question was how I liked breakfast, for which 2 stars is generous. No plates. No forks. Just napkins, plastic spoons, yogurt cups, and an assortment of three different baked items. No serving utensils. We would have had to use our hands to get the banana bread, lemon bread (?) or cinnamon bun. It was "refreshed" with more baked items while we sat in the cramped space, eating. They didn't address the platefork or utensil issue.

The fragrance in the air of their signature scent was fantastic! So relaxing. The beds with comfortable, the showers were luxurious, and the decor was very thoughtful and creative. The continental breakfast was disappointing however and fell short of all the other impressive amenities that were advertised. For the price point we paid, I expected more than muffins, coffee, and water on small counter top in the commons area. Other than that, the stay was very pleasant!

Nice hotel. New. Nice decor. The biggest downside is the breakfast. Only few pastries. They should have bigger variety things like yogurt, cereal for kids, bananas, eggs, bagels etc. It was a big downside for us as we travel and want to grab breakfast right at the hotel.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. I'm disappointed, though, that we had a tight timeline in the morning and expected breakfast to be out at 6:00 as the check in attendant told us. I checked at 6:00, 6:15, and 6:30, swinging by the unmanned front desk every time to ask what time breakfast would be out.

Hotel was excellent, very nice, with great staff. Bar on the second floor was great for sitting outside. Breakfast was pretty limited, but better then not having anything. I would definitely stay again

The hotel was great! There was a lot of construction going on, but we couldn’t hear it from our room and that’s not the hotels fault. Beds were great, Internet was great, but there is no pool in case you have kids that would like that. There is a nice rooftop bar but drinks are overly expensive, more like you see at a high end restaurant. And just know that the “free breakfast” is a few muffins, a couple pieces of fruit, and coffee. It is not a normal hotel breakfast. Would be a great hotel for someone here on business but not a family hotel. Staff was very nice and professional.

Our stay was for a softball tournament. This hotel is a secret Gem located in Downtown Dalton, Ga; wish we had more time to explore nearby shops. Cute area located on 2nd floor with outaide sitting area. Breakfast - was only coffee with muffins/danishes/breads. Lots of breakfast places nearby. Mexican restaurant across the street and other local restaurants.

This was our second stay at the Carpentry and once again, it did NOT disappoint! The hotel is beautiful and the room is super clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel is within walking distance of the Oakwood Cafe (great breakfast), Cherokee Brewing and Pizza (excellent and many other restaurants and gift shops. The only thing we don't like about the Carpentry is that the rooms don't have microwaves. However, amenities do include a coffee maker, complimentary water and a refrigerator.

Attended a wedding for my college friends and we all enjoyed our stay at The Carpentry Hotel. We were provided extended checkout and enjoyed the roof top bar, plus the General Manager edited my cost to match the wedding party block of rooms saving me over $200. It was a good experience, very nice shower and bathroom and bed was comfortable. Nicely appointed room.
