Notre chambre, spacieuse et parfaitement entretenue, disposait d’un balcon offrant une très belle vue, dont nous avons pleinement profité. Un détail appréciable : peignoirs et pantoufles étaient mis à disposition pour accéder confortablement au spa. Le dîner au restaurant fut délicieux, une véritable découverte culinaire. Seule petite surprise : une simple carafe d’eau facturée 5 CHF. Cela mis à part, nous avons été conquis par l’expérience et envisageons déjà de revenir. À noter également, l’excellente insonorisation des chambres qui garantit un repos optimal.

Overall, this property is excellent! It’s in a beautiful location includes a nice restaurant and a wonderful spa. BUT, it does have a few shortcomings. The first is there’s no air-conditioning or screens in the windows. So if it’s warm in the room and you open the windows, you may have mosquitoes come in to keep you awake, which happened to us. The second is the spa doesn’t open until 11 AM. They have a wonderful hot tub on the lake, which we would have liked to have used in the mornings. Other than these two issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our three days at this hotel.

Fedt sted med super bademulighed i Thunersee. Rolig og fin have, der er stille og rolig med liggestole og bar. Ok restaurant. Hjælpsomme og i mødekommende personale. Næsten alt er perfekt. Eneste mangler er : 1. Aircon når sommeren kommer (var der i juni, så det gik lige der) 2. Køleskab på værelset

A propriedade é muito bonita e bem preservada. As vistas são de tirar o fôlego, tanto no quarto quanto nos restaurantes/saguão. Não falamos alemão e fomos atendidos com muita educação e atenção em inglês. O spa é bonito, limpo e confortável. Adoramos.

Bonjour, alors je suis plutôt du genre hotel moderne, et là j ai voulu tenter cet hôtel d un certain standing, alors oui, il est "ancien", mais bien entretenu, je l ai choisi aussi pour son emplacement superbe, juste au bord du lac de Thoune, avec un parc arboré juste magnifique ! Venons en à la chambre, je devais en avoir une "décalée" du lac, et à ma surprise, j'étais face au lac et au 4 eme étage, le top ! J'ai apprécié le design de la chambre, et sa grande salle de bains (j'avoue que si elle avait été plus petite, je pense que cela aurait été mieux, et de mettre une petite table aurait été sympas, le bureau dans la chambre n était pas top par contre et attention pas de climatisation !) La literie est confortable, et chambre propre "insonorisée", aucun bruit ! Maintenant les couloirs de l'hotel méritent franchement un bon rafraichissement, à mon sens, ce n'est pas digne d'un hôtel de ce standing, vu le prix des chambres. Concernant le repas, j'ai très bien mangé, le poisson fri excellent (juste que l'accompagnement en patates était un peu "pauvre"), et je vous conseille le tiramisu à la rhubarbe, une tuerie, j'ai kiffé de ouf! Maintenant, payer un supplément pour le service en chambre, c'est abusé comme devoir payer de la mousse à raser aussi ! Pour le petit déjeuner, il y avait du choix mais pour ce standing, je m'attendais encore à mieux, après c'était de qualité, il faut le souligner ! Merci à toute l'équipe sympas dévouée et souriante qui "parlent" le français !

The property has a breathtaking lake view. We loved spending time around the lake. The room had no airconditioning so windows had to be left open and all kinds of bugs came inside at night. The front desk staff was partly rude. The toilet was clogged when we entered the room. The room did not meet our expectation even though we paid such a steep amount for this stay. The location of this hotel is out of this world and Gunten is a gorgeous town!

Beautiful hotel, rooms were very nice. Clean and absolutely stunning view from our window of the lake. Definitely book a lake side room. It is very convenient to get to the boat dock and bus stop a very short walk to either. The front desk staff was very nice. Breakfast was included and very many options. This is an absolutely gorgeous spot on the lake and peaceful outside with the most incredible views. We loved it.

Its a Older Hotel!! A lot of older people but I like the location, the staff is excellent The breakdown food also great… We also had dinner at the restaurant, great food! ‼️ My main issue was hotel room!!!! We choose a room with balcony , they gave me a side balcony room instead which Its Ok BUT bathroom shower was clogged i guess water dosent go down fast enough and I dont like to shower with feet in dirty water all times… - Not enough products in room, like shampoo and conditioner or body soap, liquid etc or nice towels Was just One bottle of shampoo inside shower . Which should be explained so we can bring our own! July here is hot weather and very humid ( NO air conditioning) should be also disclosed-

Zimmer gut und sauber, Bett und Boden Knarzen aber etwas. Personal beim Check-In und -Out super. Tolle Lage direkt am See. Einziges was man überarbeiten sollte währe das Frühstück. Hier bedarf es mehr Personal und mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Sachen wurden nur sehr langsam oder gar nicht nachgefüllt und Tische blieben lange unabgeräumt. Zudem schienen die alle Stumm zu sein, auf das Guten Morgen kam jedenfalls keine Reaktion.

We took the train to Thun and then the bus to the hotel (bus stop is right outside). It’s a lovely hotel with amazing views over the lake. We were upgraded to a larger room with a balcony overlooking the lake which was just so calming to sit out on and relax (even if it was raining as the balcony was sheltered). The room was a little old fashioned, we had booked a more modern room but the upgraded room whilst larger was the old style. However, this was made up for by the views. Staff were very friendly and sorted us out with free bus passes. We ate at the Italian nearby which I would recommend. We then took the bus on to Interlaken which is another scenic journey (sit on right on bus!)

Einzigartiges Hotel mit gemütlichem Ambiente, wo man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Das Wellness im Bootshaus, wo wir auch noch nach check out verweilen durften war der Wahn. What a beautiful property and excellent location .. evrthing is so beautiful but one odd incident leaves a bad memory.. and there front desk manager Ines does that .. I have not met such a rude front desk manager in my travel over 25 countries .. rest of the staff is excellent and friendly ..I don’t know why owners have kept her there .. the property is beautiful ..food is excellent .. convinent to new travel .. right on the bus stop ..

This is the best hotel I have ever been! First of all, the location is perfect. Lake Thun is beautiful, and also the lake side of Gunten is better. The second one is the quality of room. Very wide so comfortable. I would like to stay one again.

The property was beautiful and having beach access to the lake was amazing. It was very clean and comfortable and a great location only 20 minutes from downtown Interlaken. The breakfast was very good too!

Bonjour, alors je suis plutôt du genre hotel moderne, et là j ai voulu tenter cet hôtel d un certain standing, alors oui, il est "ancien", mais bien entretenu, je l ai choisi aussi pour son emplacement superbe, juste au bord du lac de Thoune, avec un parc arboré juste magnifique ! Venons en à la chambre, je devais en avoir une "décalée" du lac, et à ma surprise, j'étais face au lac et au 4 eme étage, le top ! J'ai apprécié le design de la chambre, et sa grande salle de bains (j'avoue que si elle avait été plus petite, je pense que cela aurait été mieux, et de mettre une petite table aurait été sympas, le bureau dans la chambre n était pas top par contre et attention pas de climatisation !) La literie est confortable, et chambre propre "insonorisée", aucun bruit ! Maintenant les couloirs de l'hotel méritent franchement un bon rafraichissement, à mon sens, ce n'est pas digne d'un hôtel de ce standing, vu le prix des chambres. Concernant le repas, j'ai très bien mangé, le poisson fri excellent (juste que l'accompagnement en patates était un peu "pauvre"), et je vous conseille le tiramisu à la rhubarbe, une tuerie, j'ai kiffé de ouf! Maintenant, payer un supplément pour le service en chambre, c'est abusé comme devoir payer de la mousse à raser aussi ! Pour le petit déjeuner, il y avait du choix mais pour ce standing, je m'attendais encore à mieux, après c'était de qualité, il faut le souligner ! Merci à toute l'équipe sympas dévouée et souriante qui "parlent" le français !

We were greeted at reception with the statement that the restaurant was closed (we later discovered that there was a wedding party) with no solutions offered other than "small snacks at the bar". For such an expensive hotel £300+ per night i would have expected better, plus air con, tea , coffee in room, shampoo, water replenished on second night etc.

Zimmer gut und sauber, Bett und Boden Knarzen aber etwas. Personal beim Check-In und -Out super. Tolle Lage direkt am See. Einziges was man überarbeiten sollte währe das Frühstück. Hier bedarf es mehr Personal und mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Sachen wurden nur sehr langsam oder gar nicht nachgefüllt und Tische blieben lange unabgeräumt. Zudem schienen die alle Stumm zu sein, auf das Guten Morgen kam jedenfalls keine Reaktion.

The property was beautiful and having beach access to the lake was amazing. It was very clean and comfortable and a great location only 20 minutes from downtown Interlaken. The breakfast was very good too!

We came to this hotel after staying in Como and, believe it or not, it was even hotter here than in Como! We stayed in a Junior Suite, but because it was located on the top floor, the room was unbearably hot. We could barely sleep. There was also a ridiculous window on the bathroom side that let an incredible amount of light into the room. We came here hoping for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with our baby, but we were very disappointed. There was no complimentary water in the rooms, no welcome amenities, and no one to help with the luggage. Everything, including water, had an extra charge. The breakfast was terrible, with very little variety. Despite the amazing view, this was a very poor experience overall. I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel received such high ratings. Perhaps those guests stayed here in winter, because our summer experience was extremely disappointing.

Setting of the hotel right at the Lake of Thun and its big property overlooking the most spectacular Swiss mountains made the stay very special. We booked the renovated Designer Room, which is huge and beautiful. Exceeded all our expectations!!! We certainly will return to this hotel for all the above reasons.

We spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved our balcony room with a view of the lake. Couldn't stop taking pics from it. Grounds are excellent and well maintained. Breakfast was good, but the same each day. Two things we'd suggest though, pillows were feathered and had no substance (had to ask for additional) and no lotion in the bathroom. These are minor things compared to how much we loved the setting. Would highly recommend.
