We had a panoramic suite and it was wonderful! Comfy bed, great water pressure and you can see the boats! Amenities are limited after 7 which was a shame but the pool, hot tub and sauna room made up for it! My husband says the work out room is thumbs up also! We would definitely stay again.

Like that we can walk to everything we’ll just about, didnt like the construction that was going on at the hotel, no restaurant in hotel and bit small bathrooms but everything else was wonderful

The hotel was conveniently located for the ferry and some shops and restaurants. The internet was very bad which made the tv unwatchable. The pool and hot tub was nice. Front desk were pleasant It was quite noisy though from activity in the rooms above us. We ate lots of lobster and that made up for everything!!

Great location, right across the street from lobster festival. Parking was a plus! Room was great, but bathroom could be updated. Our air conditioner made odd sounds but still kept room fresh. Pool was yellow so we didn't use it, also workout area was dated and was very dusty. This was good for what we needed, a safe, clean, fresh room to sleep.

Cons - The parking lot is shared with another hotel and it is very crowded. They only have one, maybe two handicapped spots. The room had a weird smell which literally is indescribable. Hoping the smell is not mold, but might be. The toilet is the size that elementary children would use. There is a “soft spot” in the floor in front of the bathroom sink. The television did not work. I am on a ten day road trip and this is my least favorite place to stay so far (day 5). This is my first review to write on this trip, but wanted to warn other potential guest about the cons especially the terrible smell as some people may be allergic to mold. The lobby area and general outside of the building is super cute. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and it was nice to have 2 beds plus the sleeper sofa. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly. I am not very picky about places but think the condition of the room and pool area could be improved. The shower curtain rod was rusted along with other cosmetic details that seemed half done in the room. The pool area was dimly lit and old as well as having a ton of tiny ants crawling on the floor. Overall, like I said I am not picky and would stay there again as the location was great and I don't spend alot of time in the room when travelling.

The view of the harbor was perfect. We were right near all the little shops and restaurants, but it was super quiet. The pool and hot tub were fabulous and we were the only ones in it. Great place for a little getaway!

The property is under construction. The pool is alright, the sauna is broke, the hot tub is broke. We stayed on the interior of the property and the curtains were too short allow anyone to look into our room event when the curtains were completely dawn. The staff was extremely nice. It is very close to everything in town but due to the condition of the property I could not recommend.

Room was not well cleaned and musty smelling. Many water stains on the ceiling , furniture in poor condition. It was a last minute unplanned booking so was grateful to have a place to stay for the night as I was too tired to continue last leg of my drive but would not stay there again.

One of 2 ceiling lights not working. Bathtub faucet was barely functioning, signs of water damage, balcone covered with pigeon poop, very unhealthy and disgusting so as to render the desired space unusable. Not given refills of soap and shampoo. Size was insufficient for a proper wash. The rate for this space was exorbitant considering the furniture was stained and dirty and wouldn't be acceptable at a roadside motel 6. We were given unusable entry keys upon arrival and had to wait until 10pm to get working ones. Altogether an unpleasant experience. The issue were brought to the attention of mgmt but nothing was done. Upon checking out, I was handed an extra bill for $15. Due to booking on line. A really nasty surprise! I will never stay at this property and will warn others away from it. Great central location but not good enough for the price and conditions .

There was a whole bunch of work going on. There are fixing things and painting things. Half of our lights didn’t work in our room. They don’t have any cable. The cleaning people barely come. The four days we stayed there they didn’t come once. At night the lights were so bright in the hallway that the light Seoul’s one through the door.

Although the floors may have been vacuumed in the main traffic path they actually need to be washed along with the mop boards. Maybe a once a month rotation of completing this would help.

We stayed two nights during the Maine Lobster Fest which was right across the street. We had a great view of the bay. Only negative is the floor needed to be cleaned more regular due to being vinyl. Our socks were dirty just from walking around the room.

Room was small, no window. Not an ocean view as advertised. Floor was sticky. Mattress was worn out. Walls were so thin we hear everything next door. Staff was very nice. Good location.

Lovely location. We had a sea view room for 2 nights overlooking the harbour and breakwater lighthouse. Really friendly staff. Fairly good price for our room as the Maine coast can be a little pricey. Just 2 small mentions ... The bed I had was quite creaky and the mattress seemed to be lower on one side. Wasn't too big a deal as I slept reasonably well. Other issue for me was hearing the next rooms A/C switching on and off all night. Being from the UK it's not a noise I am used to! Would stay again if I ever come this way again

The room was very spacious and very, very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is older so a bit dated, but such a great value. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the view of the harbor was just beautiful! We highly recommend this property.

Fabulous view of the harbor. They seemed to be renovating or replacing some items in the hotel. The room was clean. Air conditioner was loud. Balcony was nice yet we had no screen door. Walls in the room needed touch up paint in several spots. Bathroom was clean except for the fan vent that was quite dirty. The Roku tv was annoying - would buffer every 20 minutes or so.

We liked the room itself. New vinyl floors and comfortable mattresses. Two areas of improvement would be 1) better WiFi. The tv is streaming only and the wifi is so weak the picture goes blurry often and it has to cycle.2) Before guests arrive, please turn AC on in room so it cools off. It was 80 in ours and took 4hrs to get down to 70.

Property has changed hands and had some interior changes since I stayed last, so this created some confusion. Front desk staff was wonderful -polite and helpful. Room was clean and we had a beautiful view of the sunrise.

Upon arrival, our room was very hot, but a call to the front desk had fans to our room in minutes to help circulate the air conditioning! The stay was pleasant and comfortable. The kids loved the pool! Walking distance to various eateries and shopping. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We got in very late. They had a lock box for us to get our keys after hours (texted us the code) and then checked on us the next day to make sure we made it safely.

The room was clean, I had trouble with the TV and the desk clerk was extremely helpful. He even came to our room and then he asked us if it was okay for him to enter the room to check out the TV. Definitely will be back..

Lots of aging properties on the Eastern seaboard, so not a surprise as to the conditions here. Great location. A bit noisy as our room had two doors on main traffic routes. We were surprised when our front door came off its hinges on the 3rd day, so we had to be moved to a smaller room for our last 2 nights. Staff promised (twice) that the owner would reach out. It took a month, and messages we generated, to finally get an acknowledgement and a modest credit. The staff on-site were friendly and helpful. Would be great to power wash the outside decks for the summer. I'm sure they're trying their best! You'll get friendly staff and great location for a moderate cost; you won't get sparkly new accommodations. All good to know as you book here.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were great, helpful and kind. I would definitely choose this property again for a future visit as it was convenient to all the locations I visited & there were many. Also loved being close to the bay for sunrise & sunset.

The hotel clerk was excellent and very helpful. He was very attentive to our needs and a pleasure to talk to. Very good location close to downtown and marina's. We attended the Lobsterfeast which was right next to the hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located for the ferry and some shops and restaurants. The internet was very bad which made the tv unwatchable. The pool and hot tub was nice. Front desk were pleasant It was quite noisy though from activity in the rooms above us. We ate lots of lobster and that made up for everything!!

Rooms were spacious and well situated. Seems like every room has a view of the Harbor. Lighthouse museum across the street. 'Project Puffin' center directly around the corner. Shopping and restaurants within very close walking distance. Friendly staff.

The Trade Winds is an awesome location for visiting the Maine Lobster Festival, as it’s literally across the street. Be aware that being that close does have a disadvantage if you go to sleep early since you can hear the live entertainment from the main stage of the festival. We enjoyed it though since we could open the balcony door and enjoy the music from the comfort of our room. The staff were very kind and helpful. Being able to park our car and walk everywhere was another benefit.

We have stayed at this resort many times over the years and are very disappointed w what it has become . NO BREAKFAST ANYMORE, NO CABLE. building is a construction zone came back from site seeing to a giant man lift 6 inchs from my vehicle blocking it in. and the parking lot is in shambles . The new owners need to learn you must spend money to make money i will no longer be recommending Tradewinds to say the least.

Like that we can walk to everything we’ll just about, didnt like the construction that was going on at the hotel, no restaurant in hotel and bit small bathrooms but everything else was wonderful

The staff was very friendly there we really enjoyed the view we had from our room in the balcony would like to have the older style coffee pots there's so much better to drink from than the one cup ones also we really miss the hot breakfast he used to have down in the lobby area that would be nice to have the continental breakfast with the eggs and the bacon and all that stuff like it used to have but we enjoyed our stay it was quiet peaceful even though we got snowed on it was still fun and enjoyable staff is very nice there what a huge Improvement, thank you, we will be back when it warms up 😊

The ROKU TV for TV entertainment is unacceptable. The front desk clerk actually had to sign into his private Spectrum account so we could watch network TV. Also, having to pay a premium cost for coffee and tea is unacceptable. We probably won’t stay there again for our yearly visit to Rockland.

It definitely matters which room you are booked in. Not all the rooms have been upgraded. I was right next to the cafe/front desk. It was not the most ideal location, but I was there only to sleep before returning to work. It was loud early in the morning, and the light outside the room was very bright. The room had a very strong smell of something dead and mold. The A/C unit in the wall was so dirty I was afraid to use it. The remote to the TV didn't work. Overall, I was there for 9 hours to sleep, so it kind of served its purpose. I would not want to stay in that room long term.
