Ramada by Wyndham Harrisonburg

I didn’t like that pool wasn’t open and that the breakfast was at another hotel adjacent to it. Other than the room was clean and it served its purpose.

It was real nice and clean. The bed were comfy but the pillows were not. One of the towels had yellow stains on them but otherwise it was a nice stay. Nice pool also. I have stayed here about 4 times and I like the price. I will stay again

Thus hotel shares services with a neighboring Microtel hotel, but it worked out well. Kids particularly enjoyed to pool.

The outside area needs better upkeep. The inside of the room had water damage on the ceiling. The bathroom needed some updates and caulking.

We stay here 3-4 times a year & really enjoy the free easy parking. Facility amenities are good.

This was the Best place that I’ve stayed at so far! The People are more friendly and nice then anywhere Ive been . Vey Clean and Comfortable. The Pool is Amazing ! The Staff and Manager were So Awesome! Loved It !!!

Felt a little unsafe parking in the back of the property. The bathroom could use some repair work on the walls. Bed had some hairs on the sheet.

This location is not family friendly at all. I was informed that the have a contract with a local chicken farm. So the most room contracted labors for the farm. The farm guest were drinking and littering every where including in the pool area with glass bottles. My wife and kids did not feel safe.

Good for travelling with a pet because you can park right outside your room.

The pool was nice. The rest of it was just barely adequate. I stayed half the night in one room until 2am then was moved to another since the smoke detector was beeping low battery and no one was available to fix it. The second room was much better that the first room with everything working properly. I paid for a cheap place to stay so I guess I got what I paid for.

Room was with lot of roaches. Shower tub was clogged, not able to bath.

Our first room was glitchy and had no working air conditioner. The second room we were placed in was also glitchy, had a leaking air conditioner, and a live cockroach on the floor.

Location was good. Rates were good. There were roaches in the bathroom every day that I was there. Concerned about them getting in my personal belongings.

Just don’t do it. Paid $300 for one night and shared the room with cockroaches. Didn’t even have a shower curtain on the shower!

Roaches come out at night. Rooms not cleaned properly. Smoke detector battery missing. Unsafe,unhealthy room.

Couldn’t check in on time. Charged $20.00 extra because I had my dog. Not disclosed on Expedia! Charged a “Security Deposit “ due to dog and won’t get the refund back for 5 days! TV didn’t work. 5 roaches and other bugs were seen in the room. HVAC was very loud. Very noisy location with Tractor-Trailer trucks shifting gears to on-ramp. Overall bad experience!! Would never recommend to anyone

We had roaches crawling in the walls and near the bathroom. They could not offer us a discount since I prepaid using Expedia travel. Am requesting I discount. Also frustrated that while I was charged for the room on Oct 6, I see R Room charges from Ramada on my PNC account today. Overall a terrible hotel experience. Breakfast was also very limited.

The room was very clean and actually smelled nice, and loved the more modern look. The staff member was very polite.

Room smelled exceptionally bad. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The shower adjustment knob fell off

We stayed for 3 nights. No maid ever came in. We had to ask for clean towels. No one came to take away the used towels, or take away the trash. My husband ended up leaving them outside the door, where they were picked up I assume. The room was supposed to have a coffee maker, which was one of the reasons I chose the Ramada. We had to ask for it. And, all requests had to be made to the Microtel hotel next door. Also the breakfast (which we didn't bother with) was also next door at the Microtel. It was not a pleasant place, and I won't be considering Ramada in the future.

The shower did not work properly and there was no hot water.

The walls are paper thin, could hear the snoring in room next to us. Corners of our room were dirty; Questionable characters in parking area.. Would not recommend exit 243 Harrisonburg hotels due to sketchy activities and people.

They charged a $50 deposit, which was never mentioned by Expedia or the Ramada pre-checkin. Made us feel like second class citizens. Renovations were cheap and incomplete. Duplex covers were missing, poor lighting and extreme traffic noise. Will not return.

The hotel seemed to have a modern makeover which seemed to be eco friendly. I liked the way the mirror lighted up, and just the LED night light on the hair dryer was a nice feature. The check in clerk was kind, nice, and upbeat despite coming back to work after Pnuemonia. She still had a cough so I kept my distance. Everything worked and was supplied as needed, very happy

The room okay -clean and adequate. However; a few issues that needed to be addressed: The hvac (heating unit) needed some attention made very loud noises rattling and whirring during operation. Disturbed sleep! Hot water was only like warm.

This Ramada was very dirty, the first room we were in did not lock every time I shut it and needed to be slammed shut for lock to catch. The second room was safer lock wise but still dirty. The bathroom had dirt in the corners and hair in the tub. The shower curtain was stained and looked like it was not changed out in awhile. the bedroom floor was dirty as well and both rooms smelled of moth balls. We never unpacked from the car and left a day earlier than planned. I was very disappointed and I’ve stayed in a lot of Ramadas over the years and US. The pictures of the amenities and rooms were mostly of the Microtel on the same property with the Ramada an outdated run down looking place behind it.

We did not have hot water. We were only there to sleep and shower. We couldn’t do that. We will never stay at the Ramada again. We wasted our money!

Room was clean and large enough; however, the light above the sink was very dim and hard to put makeup on without opening up the drapes at the window. Need to install light above the sink and that will make a world of difference in my ratings.

Our room was next to the dumpster so there was an odor outside the room. The bed was big and comfortable but the bathroom was tiny, including the shower. Not bad for an overnight stay because it was very close to I81 with plenty of places to eat in close proximity. It was however loud in the morning from trucks and traffic.

The room was so dirty. I showed pictures to the front desk and management and they offered no help at all. The floors were sticky and not swept, the sheets had hair and fuzz all over them, the bathroom sink and bathtub had stuff all over them, not wiped out at all. I emailed photos to the property manager as well and they have done NOTHING.

Can't get my deposit back from my bank card.

I was originally billed or twice the cost of the room, which was only corrected after 48 hrs

starting with the check-in: we arrived at about 10pm - earlier than the midnight end of check-in period. The hotel lobby was deserted and locked. But we did notice the sign to go to check in to neighboring Microtel. Staff person was nice - no complaint about him. Only about having to go to another place to check in. The room was clean, but there were several issues: cracked window - duct tape over the crack and covered by the curtain. It is NOT a new problem, as evident by the the pieces of tape that got stuck to the curtain. A problem with the room set-up was the arrangement for hanging clothes - the ironing board was hanging on the wall, and 2 cloth hangers hanging on it. Ha? the area where the ironing board was had sufficient space for a rack that the cloth hanger will hang from. at after 11pm a group of people arrived and were very loud - they were loudly communicating between themselves about not understanding what to do with the lobby dark and locked. This would not happen if the hotel would have proper check in service at its lobby. Breakfast was served at the neighboring Microtel location - not at all a pleasant experience as it was raining and involved a walk in the rain. Room was clean, breakfast was OK.

Had a nice stay. Staff was wonderful. “L” at the front desk was fantastic. My friend ended up needing to go to the hospital and “L” from front Desk actually called to ask how she was doing! Excellent staff, clean, and comfortable.

The man who checked me in was SO sweet and friendly. I didn't catch his name (he checked me in around 8:45pm), but his warm attitude made the stress from a 12 hour drive melt away. Will be back again.

The room was clean and well supplied. There were no odors of pets or smoking, and the room is quiet. I liked the breakfast it was a good deal. The stuff were very friendly and helpful

Very convenient location

The hotel was very rundown and the rooms smelled. There were sketchy people hanging out in the stairwells and parking lots - smoking and talking loudly. Not a place I would come to again!

Its very easy to get to from 81

This was a good value motel for a quick stay like we had. Conveniently licated

This room was convenient from Interstate 81 . The price was reasonable, with reasonable prices comes sketchy locations unfortunately. We arrived on Friday night and there seemed to be a gathering of people around the truck selling food plates out of a pickup truck. Saturday the same people were located on four corners of the hotel and chairs appearing to be a hall monitor for a lack of better terms . I think the people live there and not just traveling. Someone was attending to the four corners of the hotel at all times. I just don't know if everything was illegal activity. We did not get any type of room service, when we were gone all day Saturday our trash was not taken out our beds were not made and we had no clean towels. We walked to the office to get clean towels on Saturday night. The front desk clerks were not very attentive and didn't seem to care that nothing had been done in the room during the day on saturday. For the continental breakfast we had to walk to the adjacent Hotel which was probably run by the same company or family . The breakfast was a nice breakfast for Continental. Our hotel room door didn't lock without jiggling it every time . The bathtub in the sink did not drain properly and water would back up Ankle deep during a shower. Behind the bathroom door had what was rust stains or blood stains. Overall the place was a little sketchy and we were a tad bit uncomfortable as two single women traveling.

Convenient location

Very heavy traffic area. Noisy neighbors. Lots of road noise.

Clean accommodations at a reasonable price. Just what we needed after blowing a tire on I-81.

If you want to have breakfast, you need to walk to another hotel. It was a bit cold that day, and walking back and forth made my clothes a little wet.

Good place for the price. It's seen a little wear, but it's safe and clean. The free breakfast in the sister hotel next door (at the Microtel) was nice.

Well I guess you get what you pay for. This old run down motel was apparently purchased by Ramada and they tried to put lipstick on a pig. Dirty common areas, trash bins are disgusting and clearly haven’t been cleaned in years. No coffe maker, ice bucket or iron/ironing board in room. Shower faucet in my unit broken (still functional. Poor lighting in room. Supposedly free breakfast in morning but nothing out at 7:15am on a Sunday. AC cycles on only every hour or so, so the room gets uncomfortably hot, then uncomfortably cold. When I thought it was broken, I will say the front desk attendant came right over, but by then it had cycled on again of course. Go figure. There are two other properties right next door to this one. I can only assume they were better. Lesson learned.

Check in was easy and attendant was pleasant. Water pressure and heat were good. Quiet sleep and free breakfast was great, we got to make our own waffles!
