Don\'t trust the pictures. Pay the Xtra money to stay elsewhere. This is more like temporary "Housing" property. One door in/out of facility "Safety Hazard" The 3rd floor smelled of "Pot". Patrons living there were iffy and we didn\'t feel completely safe. Parking is a joke! The plus, convenient to shopping areas and the shower was hot.

I was very upset that I had made reservations online and still have to wait forever at the front desk, also the front door stuck dangerously when you try to open it and close it and all other doors to the property were locked and alarmed ridiculous that you could only enter an exit through the one front door All the time

1. The reason I chose this hotel was because it was the cheapest one that included breakfast. When I checked in, they told me that they stopped doing breakfast the day before. She added that it wasn't much of a breakfast anyway. A muffin and granola bar. 2. The first night, I tried taking a shower. I ran the water for 20 minutes, and it never got hot. So I took a cold shower. The next morning I asked why I did not have hot water. They said that in a few rooms, rather than turn the water to hot, you need to turn it to cold for the hot water. I could have used that bit of information a tad earlier. 3. There is no staff on site at night until 9 am. There is a number to call, but advises that it might take up to 30 minutes for someone to respond.

Talk about a crappy hotel. You'd think staying at an extended stay where theres a kitchen provided you could cook meals? No... there's no dishes, silverware, pans, pots, anything provided. Room doesnt even have a hairdryer, shampoo or conditioner! The bath tub wouldnt drain and the pull wouldnt come all the way up to get all the water up to the shower head. In the bathroom there was a sign that told you not to talk to anyone in the parking lot and to leave nothing in your car. So safety was also definitely an issue at this hotel. Luckily all we needes was a place to rest our heads. And the room was okay for that. But wear your shoes in the room as there are crumbs all over the carpet and also the fridge had a nasty smell. Not food worthy.

Parking was awful. exterior of building poorly kept. Trash was a plenty. Only door available for use was the front door. After 10 pm, the only was in was to alert the staff to let you in. I checked out of the motel 6 days early and moved to a different motel. I will not stay here again.

1/2 of this hotel is used as low income housing and 1/2 is rented out as hotel rooms which leads staff to treat hotel guests like they are on government aid. They gave us a hard time about my husband not having a license and only having a temporary when we checked in even though the room was in my name and his temporary id got him a rental car and on the plane to Utah fine. We booked the room because it had a kitchen but the kitchen was empty and we had to wait in line to sign out each individual item we wanted to use and after being given 2 broken toasters and waiting at the front desk we gave up and bought food out which increased the cost of our trip a lot. They also alarmed the hallway stairs and made them for fire exit only to try to prevent crime and monitor everyone through the front entrance which for lugging ski equipment in the cold sucks when you are told to park behind the building and carry all your stuff around or leave your rental car running out front where the people that live there chain smoke cigarettes all day. If all you care about is cheap and skiing this place is ok because it’s so close to ski resorts but it left nothing else to be desired.

Pros: clean, cheap, soft towels, great location. Cons: 1. drug activity and prostitution and loud obnoxious guests happening outside, due to that I’m assuming, they only allow entrance through the front door which is very inconvenient. 2. Shower had very little pressure and barely got lukewarm. 3. Kitchen didn’t come stocked you had to request items and then return them at checkout. 4. Hallways smelled of Marajuana. 5. Breakfast is lame, muffin/granola bar/oatmeal in packets, that’s it. 6. Key cards kept malfunctioning and room door was very hard to open. 7. Fridge was loud, bathroom light was connected to the fan and was loud and annoying, there was no smoke alarm. 8. Bed was uncomfortable. Would not stay again.

I was looking for an inexpensive version of a Residence Inn to try to save money on this trip by utilizing the kitchenette and preparing dinners during my stay. However, the kitchenette is NOT stocked (no pans, no dishes, no silverware, dish soap, etc.). These were all available for an additional fee, but this was not made obvious during the booking process nor description on the Expedia site. In the end, I ended up not saving money having going out to eat and the experience was no better than staying in a budget hotel (and perhaps a bit worse). A number of items in the initial room did not work, so the very friendly manager tried her best to accommodate me as best she could in a different room, which I appreciated her efforts for. This experience has probably turned me off from any ESA stays in the future. I'll gladly spend extra to get a higher quality budget hotel and be happier about it.

I rented 2 rooms. Both rooms weren't ready when it was time to check in. We had to wait untill later that night. Once we finally were able to get to our rooms, both bathrooms had not been cleaned!!. One bathroom had used soap left in the shower and the other was just wiped, but not clean!! Our remote for the Tv didnt work. We had to use the buttons on the back of the tv. The floor in the hallway had food spilled on the floor and left. The hotel was non smoking, yet it smelled like cigarettes and weed...plus wet dog!! !! Nice combination when you have kids!! Huge disappointment!! I would have rather stayed in my car...then spend money on these rooms!!

This hotel room was disgusting I wish I could upload all the pictures I took there was old pee all around the toilet hair everywhere the floor was so dirty. Just gross and I am not a fancy person by any means.

The check in staff was great. Check out was ok. Room was very dirty (side of bed skirt appeared to have semen on it). Floor, table tops all had food or there sticky residue on them.

Dirty disgusting dump that needs to go out of business so someone who cares can take over. This place is nothing but pure neglect. It could be a decent hotel if they just cleaned it. Hair, food, bugs, filth everywhere. First room was just way too disgusting, pubic hairs all over the toilet, food in the sink, fridge stank bad and looked it it hasn't been cleaned in years, second room had bugs, hair in the bathtub, greasy surfaces. How hard is it to clean a hotel room? Millions of places are capable of cleaning their rooms what's going on here? Me and one other person were waiting for well over 10 minutes for someone to come so we could check in and then after I saw how nasty and horrible the first room was when I went back to get a different room I saw the same guy back at the check in counter because his room was also too dirty and disgusting for him to be in. If there was a government board that oversaw the health hazards of hotels this place needs to be reported

Staff was distracted by her two dogs that were off leash wandering the lobby. Paid for a queen bed but received a full size bed instead. The bathroom had hair in shower and on toilet. Comforter on bed had strange stain.

The first room we were put in, smelled of urine. And the second room had a mouse. When I left, at 12am, there was no one at the front desk to complain to. Dirty place.

The other guests were so load, setting off fireworks at 3 am, driving motorcycles around at 2 am, dogs barking at 6 am, we had multiple staff banging in our door for cleaning. Check out was 11 and they knocked twice before 10:30.

Clean, spacious room at a great price. We were on a ski holiday and the drive to Snowbird was only about 25 minutes. We would stay there again. The hotel advertised “Breakfast included.” They provide very little compared to other hotels. Coffee, packaged muffins, package oatmeal.

Perfect size room with nice small kichen. Loved the ability to store and reheat leftovers. Unfortunately the refridgerator makes a lot of noise, earplugs or turning it off might be necessary.

One of the very few hotels that I’ve been to that doesn’t have a parking area for check-in. They asked for my license plate. I told her I would give it to her when I return that evening. The front desk was closed before 10 PM and was not open at nine when I left. There was no shampoo in the bathrooms. The refrigerator was old and very noisy. I’m not quite sure how an obese person gets in and out of that bathroom. it’s so cramped.

My son and I left at 1 AM due to feeling unsafe and took the risk of driving four hours home in the middle of the night. In all three rooms around us, there was fighting, yelling, or loud noises. Doors were being slammed and people were arguing outside our window. When we finally decided it was quiet enough for us to leave safely, we exited our room to see a garbage can thrown down the hallway and trash scattered everywhere. The customer service was good and we were fully refunded. We will not be reserving a room there again.

With this price, it's a really good deal. The safe and quiet environment with the beautiful mountain view. The hotel room that I stayed in the queen single has a decent kitchen and full bathroom with AC. The hotel staff is kind and friendly. For the internet, I strongly suggest you will enhance the internet, otherwise, it's slow.

When we arrived there was a problem with our room. The previous occupant was refusing to leave. The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a room for the night. They were obviously distressed over the situation. Our room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely select this hotel when we return to SLC.

The first hotel I stayed in where I felt begging to check in. This place is unbelievable! Imagine you try checking in, it’s dark and the checking in front desk has garage door style covered as closed. I walked behind to see if anyone is around and I saw another man in their office checking in. I waited for about 10 minutes just to be told they don’t normally check in after 10pm but he will try to help me. Long story we checked in ! In the morning same thing, nobody around, garage door style enclosed front desk. I have seen it all but never anything like this in my life, very unprofessional!

The staff was kind but also took us off. She wasn’t in any uniform and came downstairs with another guest. We had no idea she worked there but she was kind. The place was dirty and smelled so strong of smoke we struggled to breathe. Then we were given keys to a room that someone else was already in. We tried to open the door and the lock was on it. That lady was not alarmed we walked in as this appeared to be normal to be given keys to an already occupied room! There were multiple people walking at night and it was sketchy and unsafe.

Don\'t trust the pictures. Pay the Xtra money to stay elsewhere. This is more like temporary "Housing" property. One door in/out of facility "Safety Hazard" The 3rd floor smelled of "Pot". Patrons living there were iffy and we didn\'t feel completely safe. Parking is a joke! The plus, convenient to shopping areas and the shower was hot.

This hotel is full of people who are living there full time. The hallways are full of shady characters at all hours of the night. I thought the neighborhood was better than this. I was thankful we were only staying one night.

Clean, spacious room at a great price. We were on a ski holiday and the drive to Snowbird was only about 25 minutes. We would stay there again. The hotel advertised “Breakfast included.” They provide very little compared to other hotels. Coffee, packaged muffins, package oatmeal.

The city must use this place to house the homeless. Not suitable for families. Lots of people loitering around property. Glad we had our german shepherd with us. Parked our car by the front road for visibility. Will never stay again and do not recommend!!!

Horrible. It’s nothing like what is pictured on Expedia. We got there and it’s literally a homeless shelter, no wonder why the surrounding businesses have moved away. The staff was good to work with, I’ll give them that. The room smelled of urine, I missed the part where pets are welcomed. The sheets feel dirty and rough on the skin, the following morning I had a rash on my hands. It’s such an uneasy feeling the whole time you’re there. Would never be back.

With this price, it's a really good deal. The safe and quiet environment with the beautiful mountain view. The hotel room that I stayed in the queen single has a decent kitchen and full bathroom with AC. The hotel staff is kind and friendly. For the internet, I strongly suggest you will enhance the internet, otherwise, it's slow.

This hotel is the worst I’ve stayed in years. The sheets had someone else’s hair on them even though the bed was made. They obviously just made the beds to make it look like it had been cleaned but did not wash the bedding. There is not a single coffee pot in the entire building so literally bring your own coffee pot or go without until you leave. The front desk chastised us for checking in at 9:55pm stating the lobby is closed between 10pm & 9am even if you have already paid Expedia. This is stated in fine print on their website but nowhere is it disclosed through Expedia. The amount of activity through the night & early morning hours very much looked like drug activity. It was such a shock to see such a terrible hotel in the heart of a beautiful area like Cottonwood Heights.

Was a good hotel for our drive through the state. Was awaken at 6am by fire alarms going off and firetrucks arriving. No breakfast at this hotel only granola bars.

The staff was not friendly or professional. The rooms have a ton of problems with them - walls need scuffs painted, there was no shampoo, 3 pillows for 2 people, no extra blankets. Breakfast was packages of oatmeal.

1. The reason I chose this hotel was because it was the cheapest one that included breakfast. When I checked in, they told me that they stopped doing breakfast the day before. She added that it wasn't much of a breakfast anyway. A muffin and granola bar. 2. The first night, I tried taking a shower. I ran the water for 20 minutes, and it never got hot. So I took a cold shower. The next morning I asked why I did not have hot water. They said that in a few rooms, rather than turn the water to hot, you need to turn it to cold for the hot water. I could have used that bit of information a tad earlier. 3. There is no staff on site at night until 9 am. There is a number to call, but advises that it might take up to 30 minutes for someone to respond.

Clean facilities and a nice small breakfast station, and rooms with kitchenettes. We had a good night after a long drive to Salt Lake City. I’ll note that the hotel is a bit hard to find, but don’t let that deter you!

Pros: clean, cheap, soft towels, great location. Cons: 1. drug activity and prostitution and loud obnoxious guests happening outside, due to that I’m assuming, they only allow entrance through the front door which is very inconvenient. 2. Shower had very little pressure and barely got lukewarm. 3. Kitchen didn’t come stocked you had to request items and then return them at checkout. 4. Hallways smelled of Marajuana. 5. Breakfast is lame, muffin/granola bar/oatmeal in packets, that’s it. 6. Key cards kept malfunctioning and room door was very hard to open. 7. Fridge was loud, bathroom light was connected to the fan and was loud and annoying, there was no smoke alarm. 8. Bed was uncomfortable. Would not stay again.

This property looks nice on the outside, but the inside is old and scuffed up (a lot of visible chipped and scuffed paint). There were sketchy people in the parking lot each night. The “breakfast” was muffins on a cart near the front door, quickly gone. Somebody was cooking curry something in the vicinity of the room and the smell was everywhere (not in a good way). I booked the room for a visiting professor who was presenting a three-day lecture on his new book, and I ended up being embarrassed.

Took almost 1hr to check in. Front desk staff person was overwhelmed and stressed. Not a very pleasant welcoming environment. Room was clean but smelled like pee or moldy milk Could not stay and had to go get different accommodations and lost the booking fee due to being a non-refundable booking. Very disappointed

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was not a typical hotel. Many of the rooms appeared to be occupied by long-term residents, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a residential encampment than a place for travelers. People were smoking directly outside the entrance—including the only employee we saw during our stay—and there were barking dogs and constant noise throughout the property. The room itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The refrigerator did not work, the bedding was worn and threadbare, and the walls were so thin that we could hear everything happening around us. The most disturbing part of the night was listening to a couple engaged in a loud, ongoing fight from approximately 10:00 p.m. until after 3:00 a.m. We seriously considered calling the police because of the aggressiveness of the fighting. After hours of noise and feeling completely uncomfortable, we finally gave up and left at 3:30 a.m. rather than spend another minute there. If you are looking for an actual hotel experience, avoid this property. I would never bring my family here, and I would never stay here again. In fact, I would rather sleep in my vehicle than spend another night at this hotel.
