Moonraker… is also known as Surfers Bay is exactly what we were looking for…rustic with every room unique with a fully equipped kitchen, great food for dinners (except Monday night), weekend entertainment, great staff and a pool that is well kept and great for exercise…easy access to taxis and a walk to the bus. We are definitely going back. Lots of vision with their management and new renovations and painting.

Amazing stay overall. Modern room was very nicely furnished including a net over a comfortable bed, room included kitchen utensils, microwave, kettle etc. Very efficient AC. Lovely pool area with plenty of loungers, chairs and benches near the pool and beachfront. Great spot for sunset and enjoyed some live music and drinks one evening.

Exactly as advertised. Close to surf lessons (walking distance!). Rent a car and stage your Barbados vacation here if you want to wake up to quiet surf and wnd your day with a dip in their private pool. Would stay here again.

The hotel has recently had a complete makeover. The renovated spaces are very good, tasteful and comfortable. It's set in a wild and peaceful place. Will and the team did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Sometimes the music from the bar was a bit too loud for our tastes.

Attention to detail and gracious service are clearly core tenets of this establishment. Gorgeous property full of simple elegance, not fancy yet both laid back and immaculately maintained. Host Will went above and beyond and was always close at hand to answer any questions and provide service. In the evenings the Gastropub opened with bartender Rico doing an amazing job making us feel welcome. Took at dip in the ocean every morning although beach was too rough for a full swim. Food was stellar, ate dinner here most nights overlooking the sea with a cool breeze and crashing waves adding to the relaxed ambiance.Saturday and Sunday nights had bands ripping and a great crowd coming in, both tourists and bajan alike with the cover waived as a guest. Off the beaten path location yet Took the ZD to central oistins in about a 15 min trip. Sick spot, hidden gem, Couldn’t ask for more

Quiet and secluded, beautiful beach totally accessible. One disadvantage though is there are no places to eat out nearby during the day time. So you need to make arrangements for Breakfast and lunch ahead of time, or make sure you have a car. The place is absolutely beautiful. Will and his father were perfect hosts. Fantastic spot for donwtime and close to the best surfing at Freights Bay! Stunning sunrise and sunsets! Tranquil and serene! The bar and restaurant are great, offering a variety of food and drinks with reasonable prices! Staff are very helpful!

I had a 3 night layover in Barbados as flight crew and stayed at Surfers Bay resort. It was a fantastic find, such a peaceful and beautiful place to relax for a few days. With great walks either direction along the coast you'll find surfing, kite boarding and quite beaches nearby. The hotel restaurant food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel manager, Will, was especially welcoming and obliging. I had a very pleasant stay and would certainly return the next time I'm in Barbados. Thank you Will and all the staff at Surfers Bay Resort.

Toilet seat was damaged. No cutlery, safe did not work, towel rail in bathroom was damaged and in pieces. The apartment looked nothing like the ones advertised by Expedia. The beech was completely covered in seaweed and nothing like the photograph. Drinks were being served at the bar without measurements, so most were short measure. Will not be returning.

The MoonRaker was originally chosen because it was close to the airport for an early morning flight. We learned it was so much better than just proximity to the airport. It was a cool community along the beautiful southern coast. We say sea turtles, kite surfers, and walked in the setting of the hotel and surf shack (but it's more than a surf shack. We had New Year's Eve dinner there and the mahi-mahi was terrific). The room was huge. I needed a two bedroom since my mother was travelling with my daugh ter, wife and me. If I could make one little suggestion it would be for a couple of more pillows on each bed. Entire staff was really friendly and nice. I wish I woudl have stayed for a few more days, hanging by the beach, surf bar, and nice evening bonfire.

Room had great view of the water and was near the pool. Room set up was well done with tons of space and a very good bed. the only drawback, if one cares , was the bathroom was in the bedroom separated by shower curtains. If that does' matter than it was a great place to stay

Toilet seat was damaged. No cutlery, safe did not work, towel rail in bathroom was damaged and in pieces. The apartment looked nothing like the ones advertised by Expedia. The beech was completely covered in seaweed and nothing like the photograph. Drinks were being served at the bar without measurements, so most were short measure. Will not be returning.

Attention to detail and gracious service are clearly core tenets of this establishment. Gorgeous property full of simple elegance, not fancy yet both laid back and immaculately maintained. Host Will went above and beyond and was always close at hand to answer any questions and provide service. In the evenings the Gastropub opened with bartender Rico doing an amazing job making us feel welcome. Took at dip in the ocean every morning although beach was too rough for a full swim. Food was stellar, ate dinner here most nights overlooking the sea with a cool breeze and crashing waves adding to the relaxed ambiance.Saturday and Sunday nights had bands ripping and a great crowd coming in, both tourists and bajan alike with the cover waived as a guest. Off the beaten path location yet Took the ZD to central oistins in about a 15 min trip. Sick spot, hidden gem, Couldn’t ask for more

I had a 3 night layover in Barbados as flight crew and stayed at Surfers Bay resort. It was a fantastic find, such a peaceful and beautiful place to relax for a few days. With great walks either direction along the coast you'll find surfing, kite boarding and quite beaches nearby. The hotel restaurant food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel manager, Will, was especially welcoming and obliging. I had a very pleasant stay and would certainly return the next time I'm in Barbados. Thank you Will and all the staff at Surfers Bay Resort.

The MoonRaker was originally chosen because it was close to the airport for an early morning flight. We learned it was so much better than just proximity to the airport. It was a cool community along the beautiful southern coast. We say sea turtles, kite surfers, and walked in the setting of the hotel and surf shack (but it's more than a surf shack. We had New Year's Eve dinner there and the mahi-mahi was terrific). The room was huge. I needed a two bedroom since my mother was travelling with my daugh ter, wife and me. If I could make one little suggestion it would be for a couple of more pillows on each bed. Entire staff was really friendly and nice. I wish I woudl have stayed for a few more days, hanging by the beach, surf bar, and nice evening bonfire.

Amazing stay overall. Modern room was very nicely furnished including a net over a comfortable bed, room included kitchen utensils, microwave, kettle etc. Very efficient AC. Lovely pool area with plenty of loungers, chairs and benches near the pool and beachfront. Great spot for sunset and enjoyed some live music and drinks one evening.

The stay was cozy and the property is situated right on the beach with the breeze calming you all the time around. We rented the studio apartment and the bed was super comfy. We flushed twice. There were beach and normal towels provided and information was available to get around Barbados . The best thing was the host.. we had a late evening flight back to London and the host allowed us to stay for a late checkout without any qualms of charges. We requested and he absolutely made sure it happened. The stay has the attached resort bar with happy hours, amazing drinks and good music over the weekend. The fish cutter and the mahi mahi grill were delicious! Thanks a lot for all the effort and hosting this amazing stay. It's pristine, secluded and absolutely what a beach vacation means .
The stay was cozy and the property is situated right on the beach with the breeze calming you all the time around. We rented the studio apartment and the bed was super comfy. The room was clean and well equipped ...enough to cater you for a week. The bathroom had hot water available all the year around. The only issue was the toilet flush , but it was manageable. Room had great view of the water and was near the pool. Room set up was well done with tons of space and a very good bed. the only drawback, if one cares , was the bathroom was in the bedroom separated by shower curtains. If that does' matter than it was a great place to stay

The initial room we were put in was not up to standard and the bedroom had open vents which felt like we were listening to the forest frogs have a rock concert! How ever the manager listened to our concerns and moved us to a better apartment! They made our experience a priority and the staff were always lovely, espectially in the surf bay bar! Would recommend to anyone looking for something alternative to a big resort.
