My stay was wonderful and this property is perfect! I stayed for a week with my elderly dog for a final hiking trip before his hip dysplasia becomes too much for him to bear. The home is located close to trails, offers a main floor master suite, a beautiful outdoor area, hot tub, full kitchen, plenty of space and is riverfront. My dog loved sniffing around and watching the river flow by. He easily napped on the porch when he has never liked sleeping outside. I enjoyed the quiet, the feeling of seclusion close to anything I needed and being able to truly relax. I’ve never felt more at home. There was a blue jay that stopped by daily as well as butterflies. Plus there were minimal bugs. Thank you so much to the host. I’ll be back.

The cabin's location is delightful, and the porch is nice and deep, so you can have coffee outside even if it's raining. The fireplace insert kept us warm and cozy. The cabin was not very clean. The pots and pans, as well as silverware, all needed to be washed. The shower had a lot of built-up scale around the door, which was just yucky. We had to cut our wood because there wasn't enough for our seven-day stay, which generally would not be a problem, but my husband is 76 years old, so that was a disappointment. The television was up some very steep stairs, which we managed, but if you have mobility issues, you cannot watch movies if that's your thing. The location was ideal; it was far enough off the highway to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient for activities. The linens were old and should be refreshed, as well as the cookware.

Look no further if you want a perfect cabin getaway. This cabin had everything we needed and more. We especially appreciated the access to firewood, two fire pits, a hot tub, and the riverfront property. We celebrated my birthday here, which was perfect because the cabin had a huge assortment of vinyl records and games to play. We had everything we needed for relaxation and for entertainment.

Our family had a great stay here. The accommodations were exactly as described and we just loved it here. We especially loved the vinyl collection, hot tub, location on the river and overall charm. Would definitely recommend!

This cabin was perfect for 7 ladies getting away for the weekend. It is secluded on a river with salmon running, with a hot tub, numerous bathrooms, fireplace, fire pit, wood stove, record album and plenty of beds and places to lounge. The host was excellent and it was just what we were looking for. I would book again and highly recommend .

Such a cozy place! So well stocked - kitchen etc, and plenty of firewood. Lots of nice touches like cotton linens, cozy blankets, outdoor chairs etc. Covered porch was perfect as we had rain the whole time and we could still be outside! The hot tub area was even covered, we enjoyed it every night- fun with lights in the water. Kitchen drawers could use a bit of cleaning touch ups but that would be nit- picking. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful spot. 10 stars!

This place was beautiful! Great family getaway. I would love to do it again next year. Great porch with table outside, large table inside for all the games we played. Well stocked kitchen, I can’t say one negative thing about it.. well except if there were stairs down to the river— it was truly great!

This is a lovely cabin! The river-front location is amazing. Very private yet easily accessible. We traveled for a ling weekend away with 6 women - easily accommodated in the 3 bedrooms. It was amazing to have 3 bathrooms! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great kitchen to cook in! This is a cozy cabin and it stayed lovely and cool with windows open in the summer (it has AC but we didn't need it). We spent tons of time on the gorgeous front porch which has comfy chairs and a great dining table too. The seating area by the river is great and you can get down a path to the river easily. We'd recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

Super cute cabin to get away from it all. Right in the river too. We spent most of our time down at the fire pit by the river. The cabin is good too. One hundred year old property but well maintained and updated. Only tv is upstairs which is fine with us as we were not there for tv. Quiet area, but close to a few restaurants and a grocery store. Will for sure stay here again! Also, owner was very quick with responding back. Was construction on what looks like a new garage going on, but nothing was being worked on while we were there.

This was my second stay in Welches. I really love the home. The hot tub was great and clean, only wish it had a cover opener for the older set. The fire pit is also a plus, wish it was more level with a safer path to the river. We all loved how equipped the kitchen, bedrooms and baths were. We had everything we needed. Thank you Vince

This property is twice as beautiful in person than in the pictures. I was super impressed as soon as I pulled up. It was very clean and the kitchen very well stocked. Perfect place for relaxation and family gatherings. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We will go back for sure.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. The cabin is well-equipped and has everything you need! And what a nice, sharp set of knives. The water pressure in the shower is amazing, and the showerhead is nice and high — great for us tall Europeans.Some downsides would be that the cleaning isn't done properly, both inside and outside. There are lots of cobwebs under the canopy and between the windows and screens. Nothing in the cabin is level, like the fridge, doors, or the washing machine, which makes it so the door can’t stay open and it gets moldy. We would also appreciate having curtains in the living room and bathroom. But overall very happy!

This was the 2nd time we stayed in this property, it’s so lovely. Loving the upgrades that has been made outside. It was better than the first time. This time I brought my family with me and they loved it as well. Everything was stocked well and was very clean. We will return a third time .

Cozy but spacious. We were able to have space together and space for small groups. The kitchen was adequately set up that we did a baking project that was fun with the little one. We will probably stay again. Thank you.

This is a great family vacation spot . Having 3 bathrooms with 3 showers was a real plus a group of 9. The location is near several family friendly hiking areas (Wildwood Rec Area, Zig Zag Falls, Mirror Lake). Government Camp and Timberline Lodge are a short drive away. A grocery store was a 2-minute drive away. The firepit overlooking the river was where we spent most of our time. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. I would highly recommend this property

Beautiful cabin. The rhododendrons were in bloom making the landscaped property really shine. We really enjoyed sitting out on the large deck that had both a large dining table and a separate seating area with Adirondack chairs. The inside of the cabin was beautiful and very relaxing. The king bedroom on the ground floor was quite large with an attached bathroom containing laundry machines and a walkin-in shower. The queen bedroom on the ground floor was fairly small, but did its job :). The main bathroom on the ground floor also has a walkin shower, making it very easy for my 75 year old mother in law to get in and out. The kitchen is fully stocked and roomy. Barbecuing was great right outside the kitchen. The third Queen bedroom on the second floor required going up steep stairs with no risers, so save that for the young and able. There is a 3rd full bath on the second floor as well. The firepit overlooking the river was very enjoyable. The path down to the river was too steep for my MIL, but enjoyable for the rest of us.

This is a great property. We really enjoyed how private it was. We have rented other properties in Welches and felt like the neighbors were “ on top of us”. This property was beautiful and pretty private. The house, it’s to nice to be a cabin, is lovely. It was fantastic to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. The upstairs has a huge bedroom, another bath and a comfy couch with a TV. We would definitely return. The owner always responded quickly to my questions, I really appreciated that.

This is a lovely cabin! The river-front location is amazing. Very private yet easily accessible. We traveled for a ling weekend away with 6 women - easily accommodated in the 3 bedrooms. It was amazing to have 3 bathrooms! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great kitchen to cook in! This is a cozy cabin and it stayed lovely and cool with windows open in the summer (it has AC but we didn't need it). We spent tons of time on the gorgeous front porch which has comfy chairs and a great dining table too. The seating area by the river is great and you can get down a path to the river easily. We'd recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

My stay was wonderful and this property is perfect! I stayed for a week with my elderly dog for a final hiking trip before his hip dysplasia becomes too much for him to bear. The home is located close to trails, offers a main floor master suite, a beautiful outdoor area, hot tub, full kitchen, plenty of space and is riverfront. My dog loved sniffing around and watching the river flow by. He easily napped on the porch when he has never liked sleeping outside. I enjoyed the quiet, the feeling of seclusion close to anything I needed and being able to truly relax. I’ve never felt more at home. There was a blue jay that stopped by daily as well as butterflies. Plus there were minimal bugs. Thank you so much to the host. I’ll be back.

This cabin was perfect for 7 ladies getting away for the weekend. It is secluded on a river with salmon running, with a hot tub, numerous bathrooms, fireplace, fire pit, wood stove, record album and plenty of beds and places to lounge. The host was excellent and it was just what we were looking for. I would book again and highly recommend .

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. It is simultaneously cozy and plenty spacious for a group. We played games and listened to the awesome record collection. One highlight was a completely functional and stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook shared meals all weekend. The location is wonderful, tucked in the woods right by the river, but only a two minute drive to the grocery store. Vince was attentive and great at communicating info during our stay. This was one of the better rentals I have experienced. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Super cute cabin to get away from it all. Right in the river too. We spent most of our time down at the fire pit by the river. The cabin is good too. One hundred year old property but well maintained and updated. Only tv is upstairs which is fine with us as we were not there for tv. Quiet area, but close to a few restaurants and a grocery store. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. Purpose was for a family reunion. The Mt. Hood area has so much to see and do! Great location. Cabin sits on the bank of the Salmon River. Close to lors of hikes. Maybe 20-30 min. to Mt. Hood.We had 1 hiccup with the cabin. Owners did not notify us that there was ongoing construction. They are adding a garage w/loft. I would not have booked if I had known ahead of time. Owner compensated 100 and stopped construction for our stay. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and they have a great LP collection.We brought our own, but they had plenty of firewood available. There is a little grocery store about 10 minutes away. Very private and serene. Would stay here again.

From the moment we walked through the front door we knew we found a special vacation rental. Close your eyes and imagine a cozy and warm winter cabin, that is what we arrived to in the early evening. Each room of the cabin is beautifully appointed with lovely bedding and such comfortable beds. All the towels and amenities you can need. The owners have provided items that make your stay unique and memorable, I won’t spoil them here. We did most of our meals at the house and every utensil and appliance is provided. Covered hot tub was a real treat with the snow falling and the porch lights twinkling. I almost don’t want to share this review because I want to keep it to myself.

This is a great family vacation spot . Having 3 bathrooms with 3 showers was a real plus a group of 9. The location is near several family friendly hiking areas (Wildwood Rec Area, Zig Zag Falls, Mirror Lake). Government Camp and Timberline Lodge are a short drive away. A grocery store was a 2-minute drive away. The firepit overlooking the river was where we spent most of our time. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. I would highly recommend this property

This property was ideal for our quick visit to the mountain. We brought our friends from England who wanted to see snow! The location by the Salmon River was perfect! We enjoyed the short drive to Timberline and cocktails by the firepit each evening!

Perfect location. Very secluded, but less than a mile from restaurants and grocery store. We spent the majority of the time at the fire pit overlooking the river. The cabin was very large and could accommodate multiple families.

A lovely spot right on the Salmon River. Enjoyed the peace and quiet sitting by the river, either with a morning cup of coffee, or a cold beer after a day of hiking. Also enjoyed an evening soak in the hot tub. A surprise treat was the turntable and vinyl library. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary things to prepare meals to enjoy on either the indoor dining table or the comfy covered front porch. The location of the cabin is close to hiking on/around Mt Hood. All in all, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We hope to be back.

This rustic and private mountain cabin is located right on the scenic Salmon River and has it's private own river access. It is centrally located within the Mount Hood area and in close proximity to some amazing hikes. We found the kitchen well-stocked, the furnishings comfortable, and the yard and view deeply relaxing. Highly recommend!

If you are considering this cabin for your trip - book it! It was clean and comfortable! The location was perfect for our ski trip! Located on a gorgeous river. Also located near many food options! Hot tub, fireplace, record player all really set the relaxing atmosphere we were looking for after a long day of skiing!
