This is a wonderful hotel, tastefully decorated and in such an amazing location. Nothing better than watching the distant lights of the Flint coastline twinkle, as viewed from the terrace with a great pint in front of you. Great memories are formed of this stuff.

Lovely hotel, clean, spacious, nice decor & beautiful views. The location was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the dining terrace overlooking the Welsh Hills. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was big as was the bathroom with a bath. It had a big, comfortable bed. The only negative was the TV. It was very small for the room and had a very basic freeview, with most channels having no signal. A bigger TV with Netflix, so we could watch a film or something would make the stay spectacular. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This was our 2nd time staying at The Ship. Free parking was a great benefit for us, breakfast was really a good spread and the service was included in the room price. Both hot and cold breakfast were available. The room we had this time had a 4 Poster bed and we had the view of the Wirral and Parkgate Parade. Birdwatching is a common sight along the Parade and each room having this view had a pair of binoculars to see the variety of bird life in the Wirral marshlands. Positives - comfortable bed, clean room.The hotel also has a good gastro pub, although my wife and didn’t eat or drink there this trip but it was very good food and drinks on our 1st visit in 2022. Staff very polite and obliging. There is handicap ramp to access the pub/hotel. Downsides - There is no elevator ( Lift in local parlance); so tourist like us who don’t travel light will have a difficult time going up with heavy luggage up the stairs. Going to the 1st floor does have a wide staircase so it wasn’t too bad taking luggage up 1 or 2 levels. On the plus side the staff were always willing to help take our luggage up or down. We planned well this time by taking only a couple of Carry on cases leaving the rest in our car. The bathrooms don’t have any hanging hooks, except for a towel dryer, away from sink and shower cubicle. No facilities to place soap or bottle of shampoo in the shower. No electric plug point either. Overall the positives outweigh the downside. (we would still go again despite these)

A lovely stay with great views over the Dee estuary from the front. This is a high quality and high standard pub with excellent food, great beers and the accommodation was in well appointed and smart rooms. Service was excellent and a car park on site. The management and owners understand high standards and what hospitality is all about so you won’t be disappointed here.

Lovely spot and view from the room. Easy parking and check in. The room was okay, had a few areas of different paint patches and peeling. Not what you expect for the price. Also soundproofing was none existent. We heard music until 11pm and from 8am from downstairs as well as people moving around in the room upstairs. Breakfast was also mixed. The fruit and pastries selection was great but the cooked breakfast had spent too long under the heat lamps and we waited a long time for it. I would still stay again but some minor improvements required

A wonderful location right on the Dee Estuary. Although there’s no flowing water we sat on the terrace and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening sun and watched the world and wildlife go by. Our evening meal was great as was breakfast. A lovely big room, very clean and comfortable. All in all a great stay.

Our one night stay was most enjoyable. The property is in an excellent location with plenty of free parking. Our room wasn’t big but perfectly adequate and immaculately clean; the bathroom sparkled. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Spotless rooms which are all individual. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A hairdryer in the room is a great help. We love the atmosphere of this hotel and pub.

A lovely property with a great view, room was lovely, compact and modern. Breakfast was really pleasant. My only niggles: no tv in the bar area and the room needed some paint and plaster touch ups, toilet seat loose. I think the room was good but without the basic maintenance they will become tatty quickly. The service was great from all staff and I would stay again.

Fantastic building with so much character. Friendly staff, fabulous room and amazing attention to detail with cleanliness. The only downside was it’s a bit of a walk from the nearest car park and the room could be a bit noisy if you wanted an easily night. That didn’t bother me because I was downstairs enjoying the music in the open mic night.

Rooms pretty basic but nice enough. We were directly above the pub stairs and there was a rowdy group in so was quite loud until about 11 but then it was very quiet. Would recommend if you’re staying in Neston. It’s lovely to be along the wetlands.

Our room overlooked the river Dee with a bay window and armchairs to enjoy the view. A big super king sized bed. Good tea tray and water. Spacious bathroom. Dinner was very good .breakfast was lovely portions. Staff very helpful and efficient

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are toiletries provided which is always a help. My only complaint is that the room we had was by the kitchen extraction unit. If we stayed again, I would book a room at the front. We were late booking this time. We have stayed twice before and loved it. Just unlucky this time. I woild still recommend, just check out the room beforehand. The hotel is really wel situated and the food is very good.

I have stayed at this property before and the rooms and location are good. However on this occasion the dinner service was awful. It took more than an hour between my starter and main course, during this time the waitress passed me multiple times and never once asked if i needed a drink (glass was empty) or if everything was ok. I felt like i was a hindrance rather than a customer.

We enjoyed our stay at The Ship. We stayed in a smaller queen room and it fit our needs for a one-night stay between traveling to and from other destinations. We thought the staff was great and the restaurant was excellent! We had dinner and drinks and wow, it was a fantastic meal. Probably one of the best meals of a 10-day vacation! The breakfast was also really good and was included in our stay. We would stay here again.

I was impressed with the Ship Inn. The room was very clean and modern and the bar and restaurant were really nice and inviting with a warming log fire in the middle of the bar. The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly

The staff were extremely laid back & friendly. Our room overall was very comfortable except for the bed mattresses. Both could be replaced. Morning breakfast was good but service was slow. I would return and stay again.

The room was excellent. Very clean, with good amenities. The staff were very friensly and attentive. We had an evening meal, again excellent food. Substantial breakfast to set us on our way.

Wonderfully supplied room, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast and dinner was spectacular, very tasty and for dinner there was a smaller portion option which was perfect for me! My only niggle was the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. However, I had little contact with them so I would definitely stay again. Location was excellent, beautiful views.

We had a beautiful one night stay at the Ship for a special birthday celebration. The staff were extremely hard working and whilst busy they still remained professional and kind. The room was stunning with a beautiful view of the conservation beach outside. The bed was huge and really comfortable! We had the best nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Wonderful place to stay.

Rooms pretty basic but nice enough. We were directly above the pub stairs and there was a rowdy group in so was quite loud until about 11 but then it was very quiet. Would recommend if you’re staying in Neston. It’s lovely to be along the wetlands.

Great venue to stay at for both business and pleasure. Love the upper deck area; fantastic on a nice warm evening to sit out with a drink and enjoy the view!

A wonderful location right on the Dee Estuary. Although there’s no flowing water we sat on the terrace and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening sun and watched the world and wildlife go by. Our evening meal was great as was breakfast. A lovely big room, very clean and comfortable. All in all a great stay.

Lovely hotel, clean, spacious, nice decor & beautiful views. The location was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the dining terrace overlooking the Welsh Hills. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was big as was the bathroom with a bath. It had a big, comfortable bed. The only negative was the TV. It was very small for the room and had a very basic freeview, with most channels having no signal. A bigger TV with Netflix, so we could watch a film or something would make the stay spectacular. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

I was impressed with the Ship Inn. The room was very clean and modern and the bar and restaurant were really nice and inviting with a warming log fire in the middle of the bar. The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly

I really liked this place, room was great, good parking, staff were excellent and my meal in the evening was really good with a nice wine list. However what let it down was the final hurdle, the breakfast. I ordered the full english but unfortunately my sausage was cold, bacon way over cooked (probably been cooked a while earlier) and the black pudding was just terrible. This was a disappointing end to what was a great stay. I will definately be back again and would encourage others to stay here, but next time I might just get room only.

Couldn't fault our stay. The staff were lovely and plenty of choice for both breakfast and dinner. Lovely area with lots of alternatives within walking distance for eating or drinking elsewhere. Ideal area for bird watching.

Lovely stay at The Ship with my youngest son whilst going to Anfield and The Open. Only issue there was no hot water on Saturday morning when showering, sorted by the time showering on Sunday.
