Comfort Inn & Suites Walterboro I-95

Room clean. Bed nice. Frig didn't wok but really did not need. Floor going to bath kinda trip hazard. Floor was higher than room

Booked a room at the Comfort Inn while on the road and declined their $8.00 upcharge to allow cancellation for any reason since we were on our way to the hotel and had no intention of canceling our reservation. We arrived at the hotel and they could not locate our reservation; the reason being that the reservation had inadvertently been made for two weeks in the future. The hotel also had no hot water, so we booked a room at another hotel in the area. The manager said she had no authority to cancel the reservation and said to contact the manager on Monday. Received a message from Hotels.com that they were working on the cancelation and to sit tight. They responded that the general manager had failed to respond to their emails, so I was on the hook for the full cost of the reservation. I emailed the General Manager, and she also failed to respond to my email. Emailed the GM that I will avoid Comfort Inns and other Choice Hotels in the future due to their customer disservice.

The room had BED BUGS and we had to leave the hotel and try to find another at midnight! Awful experience and still waiting for a reversal of the charge on our credit card 4 days later. No way to contact Hotels.com either.

Hotel is old and needs a remodel. Carpet was dirty, no USB ports, strange in this age. Hotel is in an area that looks like a war zone, quite a few abandoned properties, could not recommend it for anyone. Breakfast was decent, but coffee was terrible, tasted like water, slightly colored water.

The guy at the desk was super nice. The room was fine for just a quick stop over.
