The Good: The staff was incredibly friendly, and the building itself is a beautiful century-old hotel. The Reality: While the website noted that the restaurant would be under renovation until May 1st, we arrived on that date to find the entire first-floor lobby still completely tarped off and under full construction. There was no bar available, and the restaurant had been relocated to a second-floor banquet room with a very limited menu. Final Thoughts: It didn't necessarily ruin our stay, but it was disappointing to miss out on a nightcap or the beautiful public spaces shown in the advertisements. I just wish there had been more transparency that the entire ground floor was a construction zone with no clear end date in sight. Also, there is a parking garage across the street for half the price of valet-I'm glad I read parking reviews prior to arrival.
