Excellent stay at the U Hotel! Customer service was top-notch from booking through checkout. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and communication from staff was clear, consistent, professional and polite throughout my visit. Highly recommended!

The location was great for a first trip to New York. Close to a lot of things and the room was fairly clean. The only thing that could use some work was you have to sit on the toilet at a 45 degree angle.

The hotel was clean but is a very small hotel. The location was good because of walking distances to the subway, next to the Empire State building and Korean town. The reasons why this hotel did not get 5 stars are there is no room service so you can't order food (the resort fee made no sense as an additional charge on top of nightly stay). Also, there is no phone in the room to call the lobby or housekeeping so you would have to manually go to the front desk.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, long term maintenance could be better. Toilet needed to be flushed multiple times, drain wouldn't stay open, chips in furniture + decor, hardware missing from lamps, etc. Faint cigarette and Fabuloso scent in carpet.
