This was a great place to stay. Took off one star because only one elevator was working when I stayed there. Also, no free water or coffee in my room. Maybe this is standard for NYC hotels. Not sure. Finally, you can hear hallway conversations and bustling, but it wasn't too bothersome. Overall, minor inconveniences and a great hotel option. Loved that it was right next to an express subway stop, too.

I really like the location of the Frederick hotel. It is centrally located in Tribeca. However, the hotel only has one (1) elevator in operation and that one (1) elevator is very slow. Patrons are better off taking the stairs. Also, the Peloton bike in the workout room is not calibrated correctly. The Watts (output) are recording too low. Peloton needs to service the bike.

Noisiest room I have ever stayed in. Hotel was right on fairly busy street. Lots of sirens and horns. Could hear subway underneath. Weight room down hall was very noisy.

We stayed at the Frederick for 3 days and enjoyed our stay. The double bed room was a little tight but clean and well maintained. There is a small but well equipped fitness room. We also had free breakfast in Serafina restaurant next door, rather light but a great bagel place is a minute away. Overall the service and personnel was great and we enjoyed our stay.

I was very disappointed that at checkout is was hit for an ADITIONAL $33 per day for "facility fees"? 1) Why was this NOT in the original booking total? 2) Why was I not informed of this when I checked in that there would be an additional fee at checkout? 3) I was not given exactly what this "fee" covered? On another note: we reserved the room for 4 adults, yet on the first night and second night of the stay there not 4 Bath towels available for each adult to have one

Nice location for the purpose of our trip, beautiful design and very friendly staff. The room was small for 500 buck; I think our bed was smaller than the promised queen size, breakfast was average, one elevator didn’t work. Shower water pressure wasn’t great.

Overall, it's a nice hotel. Close to many things and great food options nearby. My main issues were that the elevator stopped working twice. The first LITERALLY right after we checked in. Staying on the 6th floor, wrapped in winter clothing going up and fown stairs? Not fun. Plus, there was nowhere in the room for us to stow clothing or suitcases. So everything just sat open in our floor, which I hate. Went to the bar one evening, and their food options are VERY limited as well. If you want only something small, options are watm nuts (which were seasoned well, but not warm), or warm olives (which I did not try). Ended up going with friends over to the Smyth the next tine.

The room was small, but the mattress was good and the bathroom was modern and clean. Closet space was a bit limited and overhead lighting in the room requires improvement as it was quite dark even with the light on. Liked the in-room safe. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning the room every day.

Room was very clean. We loved the neat details and the location. The access to the 1/2/3 subway was super convenient. We had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be back!!

This hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were all extremely helpful, even as I was exhausted and frazzled after my trip. I had everything I needed. Internet was fine, parking is a little ways off but OK. The only quibble I had is that I couldn't quite close my curtains, they could have used those stick things to help close them, I used my chair to close them enough for privacy. Definitely I would visit again despite this.

The hotel seemed to be in the middle of a construction site. We were woken up in the early AM and it was never disclosed to be outside our window. Also bugs in the bathroom didn't help the case. They also offer free breakfast which only consisted of a few basic items and did not note that outside the hotel guests could not attend.

Room spotless, night manager a little spicy when we complained about the AC having issues (would not turn on) in one room and the garbage/alley smell in the second room. Was moved the next day. With the one exception, staff is lovely and hotel is convenient to family.

Staff was great but properly was tired and dark. Hallway on my floor (third) was dark, floors appeared dirty and overall unwelcoming. Carpet in room was stained.

I visit NY often, and the Frederick is a beautiful hotel in comparison to other options. It's walkable to a lot of options (restaurants/bars, shopping, sites, and subways/trains). It's very clean and even the small room is nice. The walls are ridiculously thin, though. You can hear every single thing that goes on in every room.

Our room category was interior only, which meant two beds in a tiny room, with a window that faces a brick wall. If you get two beds here, they all face the brick wall unless you upgrade to the suite for an extra $500. The one tiny window with no light was a real downer, and should be explained in the description upon booking. The main bar is only open tues- sat too. The lobby is clean and well appointed, the rooms, not so much. Decent location, free breakfast was convenient.

The hotel was small but charming and well-maintained. The food exceeded expectations, especially the breakfast buffet, which was excellent. A couple of minor drawbacks: the bed was a bit firm, and hallway noise from other guests could occasionally be heard. Overall, the location was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Very noisy rooms. You can hear everything from the corridor and the door system requires guests to slam the doors in order to lock them, when they leave. So after 6am you won’t be able to sleep anymore.

If you want a boutique feel, as in the tiniest room you can imagine, this is your spot! Joking aside it was a great location with easy access to the subway directly under the hotel, breakfast included next door and very friendly hotel staff. The lounge area and bar is nice for an evening hang and great restaurants near by. For NYC maybe this is a typical room size but you could barely move around the bed and the view was a brick wall making it feel very closed in.

The room was TINY (the entire room consisted of a queen bed with an 18 inch perimeter), had a view of a brick wall, had no mini fridge, and the closet was 12 inches wide and was so short it would only hold shirts - no dresses. However, check in was a breeze, complementary water was appreciated, and the location can’t be beat. If you don’t mind a VERY small space, it’s a winner.

Nobody smiled or said good morning. The room was nothing as in the picture. It was kept very clean so kudos to the cleaners! Outdated shower system. Overall, very high price for the service.

The room I was in was very noisy and this wasn't the hotel or staffs fault but they could invest in some soundproofing. Despite being on the 6th floor I could hear conversations people were having in the street. Really love this hotel! Service is wonderful. Everyone is extremely helpful. Excellent location. Able to walk from WTC and then had a subway stop right outside the door. Hotel is comfortable and clean. Easy walking distance to great restaurants.

Good location and Serafina is a great restaurant. Rooms small, so for couples with multiple suitcases it could be a challenge. Service not so great. No welcome when I arrived, just "credit card please." Check out was a disaster with just one person on the desk on a bank holiday with multiple people leaving and trying to check in.

We had a lovely one-night stay at the Frederick. Miracle and Anthony were particularly helpful when my husband was setting up to work down in the lobby area so I could sleep. And great location in Tribeca! We'll be back!

This is the worst hotel. I knew this hotel. In the past, it was well managed but now the staff is rude and arrogant. I have sent some of my guests there and for them, it has been a disastrous experience. The first couple was given a terrible room then they moved to another room and the heating system wasn't working. When all these inconveniences are found, it seems to me that the least one can expect is to find someone less arrogant or offer something . They even charged my credit card without authorization and I now have disputes with my bank because I went directly to the hotel 4 times and they continue to say there was no charge but an extra money was taken. It was a very bad experience and the evaluation is only one star. With all those issue they should offer something There are better ones in the area and above all the staff is not so rude.

Meri and the front desk team are wonderful. I’ve stayed at this hotel 14 times in the last 3.5 years. They are my home away from home. Clean, safe, friendly and the location is ideal with a subway entrance right outside of the hotel.

Good location in Tribeca and right next to a subway stop to go uptown or over to Brooklyn. Room was on the small side and smelled musty. View out the window was a brick wall so not much natural light. Overall decent for the price (compared to other places in NYC)

Appreciated the historic building that was decorated with a nod to its past. The bathroom was beautiful. The subway was super convenient, just steps from the front door. The location in TriBeCa offers the Hudson River Park, restaurants and shopping. The location makes the 9/11 memorial, Chinatown, Little Italy and Soho easily walkable. The staff was professional, accommodating and personable. The free bottle of wine, happy hour at the bar and breakfast were nice touches. We choose The Frederick Hotel because of its central location in lower Manhattan (West side, Houston to the Battery), its reasonable price, and a breakfast included. Our room was small but comfortable with a nice bathroom. Staff were a pleasure and everywhere in the hotel was clean. The excellent continental breakfast was the factor that pushed our rating from very good to excellent.

The hotel was small but charming and well-maintained. The food exceeded expectations, especially the breakfast buffet, which was excellent. A couple of minor drawbacks: the bed was a bit firm, and hallway noise from other guests could occasionally be heard. Overall, the location was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be returning!

It’s a great location and a nice hotel but the windows are single pane so it’s noisy. It also says it includes breakfast. Breakfast is a bag that you take away, and it’s not good. That should be more clear because we stayed there thinking the value was good since it did included breakfast. Disappointed

Pros: Lovely Welcome – We were greeted with complimentary glasses of champagne, which was a nice touch! Clean & Comfortable Rooms – Though on the smaller side, the room was spotless and cozy for our one-night stay. Excellent Breakfast – Breakfast was included and served at the restaurant next door (through a hotel arrangement). The food was delicious with a good variety. Great Overall Experience – Despite the short stay, the hospitality and amenities made it a pleasant visit. Breakfast is delicious. However our room smelled of humidity and masked cigarette odor. Was not offered upgrade upon arrival. Courtesy wine and tour should not be offered. Reduce rates instead. And mostly they overtook security deposit on credit card.

This is our third time staying at this hotel. It’s gorgeous and in a great neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff at the front desk are always very receptive and helpful The breakfast that was included was a huge disappointment.. they were out of everything, no eggs, no creamer, no fruit, no croissants … it was a 20 minute wait to get the creamer refill… and we ended up having to go to the restaurant down the block (Pan Quitioden) The walls are absolutely thin so bring a white noise machine for the evening.

We did not like the hotel at all. Only one elevator for the whole hotel. Small bedrooms with old smell. The hotel is overpriced relating the things that they offered. There are no amenities or comfortability to make this a luxurious hotel. There are way better hotels for same price.

Nice tidy room. Dark but unavoidable on lower level. 1 elevator was out. States very steep so tough if can’t manage that. Love the 5p prosecco. Great bathroom and room amenities. Wish they came equipped w mini Keurig. sarafina breakfast is lovely and makes any hotel shortcomings (not many!!) worth it. I’ve stayed here multiple times and will return.
