Ok, la chambre n’est pas chère et le Check-in se fait en autonomie. Il m’a fallu attendre 20 minutes dans la rue, à la porte de l’hôtel, qu’on m’envoyer un code d’entrée. Chambre simple…même trop simple : pas de chaise, des rideaux occultants qui n’occultent rien du tout puisque ce sont juste des voilages foncés. L’hôtel ne propose pas le petit déjeuner mais il n’y a même pas de bouilloire dans la chambre pour se faire un café.

Apparently the usual process is to receive a lock box code which gives access to the room key. This didn't happen and although there was someone in the restaurant on the ground floor, waiting for others (it turned out) to make the place ready for service, he just shouted at me through a locked (glazed )door, then ignored me. Thankfully the other staff who turned up were kind, helping me to retrieve the key. The room, though clean and with a nice bed, was like an oven, and the hotel was more like an unstaffed lodging house. There were WiFi codes posted on the entrance code, and a bottle of water in the room. There was a safe, also, but no key or any other welcome information. I was wary when I saw there was just one previous rating, markjng it a 10. Hmm, I wonder who did that?

Hotel is oud. Ik was hier 23 jaar geleden, er us niets veranderd behalve de eigenaar. Het is er erg rustig geen hectiek van gillende gasten in de nacht. Dicht bij het centrum. Parkeren is geluk of pech hebben
