This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean, have good accomodations and products. They leave water for you every day, one bottle per person. The AC is perfect, which really matters in the hot humid June July Madrid weather. They have a nice coffee machine and tea kettle, plus snacks/drinks for purchase. The library downstairs is beautiful and cool (AC). They have a movie theater where they play movies twice a day on a schedule. It's a ten minute walk to Prado, maybe 15. The breakfast that is included, if you get that option, is pretty good plus you can order off the menu included if you prepurchase breakfast daily. I think it's worth it because it includes the menu items as well as cappuccinos , sodas, juices, waters. It wasn't super clear that things you order are also covered, so clarify that when you come. Also , the hotel itself has a cool history and some Dali lithographs in the lobby. Definitely a beautiful find for a hotel. My only heads up is that I don't love the area. Ten minutes up, ten minutes down - great areas. Just the hotel itself is on a strip of the street that isn't as clean as I'd like. I did feel it's safe so I wouldn't stress

Really lovely hotel - communal areas are very pretty. I had a room in the back part of the hotel which was very quiet and very modern. Pool could do with being warmer.

It was an amazing stay in a lovely area in Madrid, easily walkable to everything I needed and delicious food around! I was there on work travel, and enjoyed the library to do some work and take calls. My partner joined me for a couple of days and really enjoyed the pool and sauna; he also found the location to be convenient to walk to the main attractions. And we both appreciated the breakfast and wide selection, the Spanish breakfast was my favourite. The hotel exceeded our expectations, the stay was one of the best for business trips I’ve taken in Europe. The only criticism I have is that there weren’t appropriate places to hang our towels in the room - the towel hooks were in the compact WC, which left them quite damp, so we had to change them daily (not quite eco-friendly).

Nice design and overall friendly and helpful staff. Our room did not get made up when we were out for the day though. We had to request it be made up and even then it took a long time for it to get done.

The room had an awful view and was not properly cleaned. Towels were missing, and basic amenities weren’t stocked. I really enjoyed the level of service, the cleanliness, and the amenities in the room. The fact that breakfast was included was also a plus and ideal for this trip. The breakfast that was provided was not basic on the dining area was exquisite. I really loved the complimentary wine and charcuterie board that was provided upon my arrival, the wrong included some necessities that I haven't experienced at other properties such as a toothbrush toothpaste, facial wash, lip balm, shaving kit, flat iron, a tea kettle as well as the Keurig for coffee. The turndown service with the chocolate on our bed was so nice, I really felt taken care of. Yeah I can honestly go on and on about so much that was offered at this property and I look forward to returning and or visiting another sister property just like it.

Lovely hotel with brilliant helpful staff and a lovely library/bar/restaurant. Easy to walk everywhere in around 15-30 mins. The communal areas were very nice, but we found the areas with the rooms to be quite basic. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and there were even a couple of rose petals in random places in the room from last guest which was a bit odd. You can also hear a lot of noise from people in hallway from room and we were woken up by a big group of people opposite playing music and going in and out of room numerous times. Stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful, very close to the museum triangle and literary quarter, quick walk to Plaza Mayor and centre, and Retiro Park. Rooms are spacious, though I found the layout a bit odd for mine as the sink and vanity was right as you enter the room and separate from the bathroom. Room amenities are excellent! Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush and toothpaste kit, glass container has cotton pads, shower cap and Q tips. There is even a handheld steamer in the closet drawer, very convenient! Three complimentary bottles of water that are replenished when you opt for turndown, minibar and fridge has lots of options, and coffee machine. The library, gym and pool are all on the main floor which you pass to get to the elevator. Loved using the pool to cool down during the afternoon. There is a sauna and steam room as well, all amenities were clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet had lots of good options and you get one free item from the menu if included with your room eg. Eggs benny, waffles, omelette. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast team is quick to get your food order, coffee, clear plates. Front house team was really nice, I needed help with getting a few things (adapter broke and needed new one) and they were very accomodating. A beautiful hotel with lovely staff. We especially liked the breakfast; a great buffet and you could choose one option from the menu. The library was a very comfortable place to sit and unwind after a day exploring Madrid. The staff were happy to bring a drink to us too. We slept very well in the huge bed. We’d happily return if in the area again.

Beautiful property, very comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast. Only complaint would be that the doors allow a lot of noise from the hallway (we had 3 rooms and I noticed this in each) but the walls were very good and I could not hear anything from the rooms next to us. I would definitely stay again!

Convenient location and nice cleaning staff but that’s where the positives ended. I would classify this as a 3 star hotel at best. Very confusing layout inside the hotel (not accessible and would not recommend for the elderly either) and both the doorman and reception was not helpful except for one nice lady with curly brown hair whose name I can’t recall. The cleaning staff was a lot more welcoming than the reception and greeted us kindly. They also knew how to find the rooms when the doorman did not- upon arrival, the doorman led me the wrong way with me pulling 2 suitcases and then said he didn’t know where the room was and just left. Was hoping it was just an issue with one doorman but every time we entered the hotel they just stared or ignored us completely- did not understand what their purpose was as the doors were automatic and they didn’t seem to serve any security role either. The soundproofing for the rooms is extremely poor- at 3am on our last night we were woken up by a drunk man in the hallway vs next door yelling and banging around for about half an hour. It is a convenient walk to restaurants, shops, and sightseeing locations nearby but there were also many other hotels in the same area that would’ve been a better experience.

El hotel es bonito, nuevo y con gusto. La recepcionista nos habló y contó las virtudes del desayuno y nos convenció para cogerlo. A la mañana siguiente fue una tremenda decepción. No había nadie para darte la bienvenida y cuando al pasar 20 minutos vinieron a nuestra mesa a atendernos no nos ofrecieron el plato caliente que incluía el desayuno. Cuando fuimos a comentárselo al camarero nos respondió de manera bastante impertinente que deberíamos haber esperado (20 minutos) a que nos sentaran. Personalmente considero que es una salida de tono terrible e impertinente. Cuando fuimos a hablarlo en recepción nos dijeron que “darían parte al departamento de calidad”. Traveled with my wife and 2 kids (teens) We had a connecting room which was great. Facilities are clean, modern and secure. Beds are comfortable. Pillows are comfortable. Clean. Morning buffet was fantastic. And more importantly the staff !!! Yevgeniy was somehow always available to answer any questions. And all the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Id definitely recommend this establishment to my friends and family.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel im Jugendstil. Komfortabel eingerichtete Zimmer und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean, have good accomodations and products. They leave water for you every day, one bottle per person. The AC is perfect, which really matters in the hot humid June July Madrid weather. They have a nice coffee machine and tea kettle, plus snacks/drinks for purchase. The library downstairs is beautiful and cool (AC). They have a movie theater where they play movies twice a day on a schedule. It's a ten minute walk to Prado, maybe 15. The breakfast that is included, if you get that option, is pretty good plus you can order off the menu included if you prepurchase breakfast daily. I think it's worth it because it includes the menu items as well as cappuccinos , sodas, juices, waters. It wasn't super clear that things you order are also covered, so clarify that when you come. Also , the hotel itself has a cool history and some Dali lithographs in the lobby. Definitely a beautiful find for a hotel. My only heads up is that I don't love the area. Ten minutes up, ten minutes down - great areas. Just the hotel itself is on a strip of the street that isn't as clean as I'd like. I did feel it's safe so I wouldn't stress

The only criticism I have is that there weren’t appropriate places to hang our towels in the room - the towel hooks were in the compact WC, which left them quite damp, so we had to change them daily (not quite eco-friendly).

This is a very nice hotel. Room was spotless and quite good size. Everything worked. It is very convenient to the main train station and walkable to the major in-town attractions. Breakfast was great, with both a nice buffet and one free to-order item each day. Priced about right - it's expensive, but worth it.

Amazing experience from the moment that I arrived until I left, the entire staff was very attentive and helpful. The property is absolutely beautiful and has so many features and amenities, from the architecture and decor, the restaurant, the library, cinema, gym facility and the spa. Everything was well maintained, clean and smells amazing at all times. The cleaning staff was very friendly and efficient, consistently checking to make sure the guest rooms are taken care of. The location was great as well, quick walk to el retiro, museo del prado, gran via, plaza mayor. Could not have asked for a better experience, have stayed at other Melia hotels but for a more intimate, boutique atmosphere I would recommend 10/10
