We've used them for 4 years during an event held at the same time in Spring Lake. It's always been a good stay but this time the room condition wasnt as good as before. The toilet was loose and it would wiggle during use. Breakfast was also more sparse then before. However, the pool was just as nice as prior visits.

The pool was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the room had a smell like it used to be a smoking room and the bed was like a cement slab.

We stayed for two nights and it was excellent! The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities needed. There were two queen size beds which were comfortable with good blankets and comforters. We were happy with the large TV, air conditioner, microwave oven, refrigerator and coffee maker. The best thing was that everything was working just fine!!! Spacious bathroom with excellent hot and cold water, wonderful shower with non slip surface. Lots of towels and nice mirror. A nice vanity area with a giant mirror and table for all grooming and make up items. Bureau's with generous drawers to keep clothing. Liked the free parking right in front of your room. Everything is on the ground floor. One step up to the door of your room. Very convenient especially when traveling with an elder person with walking issues. Complimentary breakfast with lots of offerings to choose from! Pretty swimming pool right at the center of the property. Several people enjoyed sunning and taking a dip! The staff were very kind, attentive and take very good care of the Inn. The Day Manager is just lovely!!! I will definitely stay there again!

Very clean and nice room. Our only complaint was that the only wall plug next to the chair wasn’t working and only one of the charging plugs in the lamp was working. But everything else was fine. Breakfast was good and pool was nice and clean.

Room was not cleaned, bugs everywhere, window screen was ripped, dead bugs on sink and in tub, air conditioner was full of dust, there was duct tape used on the door connecting to the other rooms to secure it and a chair propped up against it as if for "extra security." There was also duct tape used to secure front window. Door lock was also broken. Horrible conditions at this place, pictures online make it seem okay to stay in but it is VERY MISLEADING. Would avoid at all costs.

Front desk gentleman was amazing. However, This place was really horrifying to walk into---carpets FILTHY, ripped, old. A stench of cigarettes and must/mold in the room. Bugs and hair on bathroom, stained linens. It looked like a motel you would rent by the hour, that might be attached to a porn shop. The front desk gentleman did his best to try to offer a different room, but the same situation was there as well.

Room cleanliness was sub-par. One of the comforters had a dirty brown/yellowy patch near the foot of the bed, and both white beds had non-white lint on them. We found receipts and paper trash in a corner under the "dressing table". The room itself was fine, if a little weird. The "dressing table" is a large recessed nook in the wall that looked like it used to be a closet, but now has a mirror, counter, and chair. The tub/shower faucet takes about 2 minutes to figure out. There are separate controls for flow, temperature, and directing the water through the shower vs. the tub spout, and they are not obvious. The covers were extremely thin, causing me to get out of bed and turn the thermostat up 1 degree about three times, which also caused the room to become uncomfortably warm and humid in the wee hours of the morning. My husband on the other hand said he got a great night's sleep, so YMMV. "Breakfast" was extremely weak as well. A few bagels from a package, no cream cheese or jelly that I could find, no hot water dispenser (if you drink tea, go fill a cup from the bathroom and microwave it), and only three choices of cereal, two of which were sugary garbage. Nothing else. At least there was real, whole milk, not "creamer" made of who knows what. Overall uneventful but unimpressive stay. Definitely doesn't warrant the 8.0 rating seen on Expedia IMO.

Having seen other area lodging in similar price range this one was much better—cleaner, better maintained. Staff very congenial and helpful. Beds great (more comfortable than my mattress at home) but a bit high up (possible challenge for some folks.) did not use the pool, but it looked nice. On rt 35 so is noisy. I would definitely stay again.

I paid for 3 nights and ended up only staying for 1. The first night I couldn't check in because I had to take my dad to the emergency room. They made no effort to refund any of my money for that night. There are no phones in the room - so when the AC wasn't working, I had to walk through the dark parking lot in the middle of the night. The front desk clerk was a smart ass to me about the lack of phones and how to work the AC unit. The next morning, my shower ran out of hot water. I was so sick of this room that I didn't bother to stay for the 3rd night. I would never stay here again!

The people who run the motel was very rude and did not give good service. Came to check in and the the person running it was so rude I have never experienced that before, I just got there and she went out her way to be very disrespectful as if she was trying to get some type of reaction out of me. I do not understand what was the point of coming off so nasty when I literally just arrived. This is the only encounter I have ever had where I got mad checking into a place, I would have got a different spot but I felt like I would have got a hard time trying to get a refund.

A delightfully lovely woman ran the place from the front desk efficiency and a pleasant demeanor. The room was clean as a whistle. I'm definitely returning here when I'm in town on business.

I was told upon check-in I had 15 minutes to see the room and register any complaints. I never experienced that before and should have ran! Sheets had stains. Bathroom floor had visible dirt and hair. Bathroom window had broken glass and was taped up. One cloth chair was visibly dirty not for sitting and the other was ripped up by a cat I presume. The Woman at front desk was rude and extremely angry when she came to change the linen. She said she was the owner and couldn't understand what my issue was. I went across the street to tjmax and bought linen and disinfect. I survived the night. Stay away!

This place is badly underrated. I think it shows as a 2 star, which is not accurate, imo. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool is always clean and very refreshing. The courtyard with the picnic tables and charcoal grills is always well groomed and clean. I used a grill just once, but I was the only one I saw that did. It was nice to relax and grill some dinner. The location was perfect for me, a short drive to pretty much anything you may wanna do. For being right on route 35, I could not hear traffic or anything from my room. Is everything perfect? No. Anything reason to drop to 2 stars? Absolutely not. Dawn is working hard to keep everyone happy, and deserves credit for that. The included breakfast is a lighter type, bagels coffee yogurt cereal etc. No complaints, full breakfast options are available nearby. MeeMaws was my go to for breakfast. I am already planning a trip back for next year, and looking forward to the Inn as a big part of my relaxation of my trip! Thank you Dawn and staff for a GREAT stay!

Enjoyed my stay at the Atlantic Inn & Suites! Dawn, manager & owner, is very FRIENDLY & HELPFUL! Property is very CLEAN, rooms nicely UPDATED and the pool is SPARKLING! GREAT location too with plenty of eateries around and 5 MIN drive to downtown charming Belmar! HIGHLY recommend!

This is my go-to place when I want to book a quick getaway to Spring Lake/Sea Girt. Clean, safe, quiet, great rates, comfortable beds, good water pressure—and the manager Dawn is the best! Conveniently located within ten minutes of everything, including the beaches and Mr. Shrimp.

Dawn is both very friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The only drawback to this very nice motel is that this part of New Jersey isn't particularly pedestrian-friendly

Easy check in and check out, staff was friendly. Nice place to stay in a couple days if you want to go to a nearby beach or boardwalk. Good restaurants around as well nearby.

Having seen other area lodging in similar price range this one was much better—cleaner, better maintained. Staff very congenial and helpful. Beds great (more comfortable than my mattress at home) but a bit high up (possible challenge for some folks.) did not use the pool, but it looked nice. On rt 35 so is noisy. I would definitely stay again.

We always look for places with continental breakfast.. unfortunately their continental breakfast consisted of.. coffee orange juice milk cereal. And a choice of five bagels in total and they did offer butter or butter. . That's it folks. So if you want continental breakfast this is not the place for you. When I say the choice of five bagels I mean they had five bagels of their choice for the whole property. Other than that a good place to stay.

Overall everything was ok and comfortable for a short stay. The place was very clean however a couple lights in the room were out and the breakfast was very limited.

Great area 5 mins to the beach driving The room was very clean sheets pillows all very clean. Internet connection not the greatest but still decent. Staff will change towels when requested. Great value with small breakfast cereal and toast and coffee 👍

Room cleanliness was sub-par. One of the comforters had a dirty brown/yellowy patch near the foot of the bed, and both white beds had non-white lint on them. We found receipts and paper trash in a corner under the "dressing table". The room itself was fine, if a little weird. The "dressing table" is a large recessed nook in the wall that looked like it used to be a closet, but now has a mirror, counter, and chair. The tub/shower faucet takes about 2 minutes to figure out. There are separate controls for flow, temperature, and directing the water through the shower vs. the tub spout, and they are not obvious. The covers were extremely thin, causing me to get out of bed and turn the thermostat up 1 degree about three times, which also caused the room to become uncomfortably warm and humid in the wee hours of the morning. My husband on the other hand said he got a great night's sleep, so YMMV. "Breakfast" was extremely weak as well. A few bagels from a package, no cream cheese or jelly that I could find, no hot water dispenser (if you drink tea, go fill a cup from the bathroom and microwave it), and only three choices of cereal, two of which were sugary garbage. Nothing else. At least there was real, whole milk, not "creamer" made of who knows what. Overall uneventful but unimpressive stay. Definitely doesn't warrant the 8.0 rating seen on Expedia IMO.

We stayed for two nights and it was excellent! The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities needed. There were two queen size beds which were comfortable with good blankets and comforters. We were happy with the large TV, air conditioner, microwave oven, refrigerator and coffee maker. The best thing was that everything was working just fine!!! Spacious bathroom with excellent hot and cold water, wonderful shower with non slip surface. Lots of towels and nice mirror. A nice vanity area with a giant mirror and table for all grooming and make up items. Bureau's with generous drawers to keep clothing. Liked the free parking right in front of your room. Everything is on the ground floor. One step up to the door of your room. Very convenient especially when traveling with an elder person with walking issues. Complimentary breakfast with lots of offerings to choose from! Pretty swimming pool right at the center of the property. Several people enjoyed sunning and taking a dip! The staff were very kind, attentive and take very good care of the Inn. The Day Manager is just lovely!!! I will definitely stay there again!

Well, the breakfast used to be OK now it’s terrible. They used to have fruit yogurt, orange juice, bagels, toast, butter, and cream cheese. This time they only had cereal and steel bagels and butter, and that was it.

Great alternative from a chain hotel. Basic motel but clean, not crowded. Fridge and microwave in room. Pool was perfect on a hot day. Very basic breakfast (cereal, bagels toast coffee). We’d stay here again. Well worth the value.

The room was extremely unsanitary. The bed sheets were stained and every towel was dirty and stained. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling and on the shower curtain. When this was expressed to the front desk they refused to do anything about it. They refused to allow us to speak to a manager and when we asked for a refund they stated that they could not refund any money and told us to contact the booking agency. When we contacted the booking agency we were advised that only the hotel could refund the money. Do not stay here.

The room was adequate, a little outdated but that's okay. They only give you two teeny tiny slivers of soap and ridiculously small packages of shampoo. No coffee maker available for the room .We only had two very small skinny towels and there are no towels at the pool. They expect you to just use the towels from your room. Some of the outlets worked and some didn't, and the ones that did work charged the devices extremely slowly. The only real problem I had was that at check-in I was asked to sign a credit card receipt for a different amount than I had paid originally. I am confused as to why I had to sign this since I had already paid. The desk clerk was unable to explain why, he just kept telling me to ask hotels.com. he assured me that I wouldn't be charged anything extra, I looked at the receipt and my cc number wasn't on it, but it still seemed shady to me. I I asked for the the slip and receipt back so I could take a photo of it. He was very reluctant to give it back to me just kept saying I need to call hotels.com cuz he doesn't know why I had to sign it. I said that I will call hotel.com, but I also would like to screenshot what I signed. So he reluctantly pulled it back out and let me take a screenshot of it. I keep checking my acct and it appears I'm not charged anything extra, but this makes absolutely no sense. ??? Also, the iron cord would not pull out far enough to be able to comfortably iron anything.
