Upon checking in, we were given the normal information (what time the bar closes, when breakfast is, when checkout is, WiFi, room key, etc). After we finished breakfast, we were asked for a coupon. We didn’t have one. The staff asked if we were diamond or whatever members - we aren’t - and told us she’d have to bill our room. It was over $30 for the two of us to eat a bowl of oatmeal, 2 small muffins, 2 small scoops of eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of French toast, a small scoop of potatoes, a glass of apple juice and a carton of chocolate milk. When checking out, I explained to the staff we were not informed about the cost when we were checking in. I was told they normally don’t tell people, and because I booked through a third party app, I should have seen that breakfast is not included when I booked. Fine, but I booked this over a month ago - I didn’t remember (and honestly, probably didn’t even look). I have always assumed if breakfast is set up like a buffet, it’s included - especially when there is no sign or anyone indicating otherwise (until it’s too late). The ironic thing, there is a sign at the desk that says something about “making it right” - that’s laughable at best considering the response I was given.

The room was unfortunately not up to the standard I expected from a DoubleTree. The portable air-conditioning unit was very loud, and the room had a strong mildew odor that made it feel damp and unpleasant. The carpet was visibly dirty and did not appear to have been properly vacuumed. The bathroom was the biggest concern. There were visible dark spots and what appeared to be mold in and around the shower, including along the lower areas where water collects. Overall, the room did not feel properly cleaned or maintained. The staff interactions I had were fine, but the condition and cleanliness of the room made the stay uncomfortable. I would not stay at this location again without significant improvements to the rooms, ventilation, and housekeeping.

The bed was great. Room was ok. My complaint was that there was a large group of people who were there having a family reunion or something for the 4th of July.... And they basically tailgated outside the front of the hotel all weekend. I had to walk my family through clouds of pot smoke and loud, obnoxious people to get inside. I could hardly believe the hotel allowed this.... The hotel definitely knew because they were literally right outside the front desk. Then the morning crowd at breakfast was the same. We opted to eat somewhere else. At night the pool crowd was the same, so we didn't swim or hot tub. Amazingly, our room was quiet and we slept pretty well, which was the point of our stay anyway right? But we smelled pot as we walked through the halls and definitely when the party was happening 2 nights in a row outside the hotel's front doors. I don't know if this is a regular thing or of it was the holiday, but I was not impressed and will never stay there again even though the location was good.

The staff were very nice and very helpful. But the cleanliness and experience It was “okay”. The cleaning was okay, it wasn’t horribly gross but it wasn’t super clean either somewhere in between. The hot tubs a perfect example there was like black smears in the walls of the hot tub. There was bug corpses in the pool area. There was an earwig in the sheets with us. But the tub was clean and the shower head was nice. I misunderstood the breakfast part did not realize it was 15 dollars person per day. Luckily they have a fridge and a microwave in the room so we made it work. Over all okay is all I can give it. It wasn’t bad, but I was disappointed a little. I’ll probably never stay there again.
