Hotel was just right for an overnight stay after a 500 mile drive and then an outbound flight at DTW early next morning. Shuttle was very clean and efficient to get me to McNamara terminal. If you don’t need ‘bells and whistles ‘ it’s a great deal.

Was supposed to have airport shuttle but very disorganized. Very poor customer service. Front desk hung up on us for calling 3 times in 1.5 hours waiting for shuttle at airport at 1am. Room very dated, worn carpet, mold around tub, dank, smelled of stale cigarette smoke, no signal for tv

Room had a weird smell, front lobby couches had the pleather peeling off, and the security guard at night was half asleep at the front desk. Parked our car there and took shuttle to airport and was told to just call when we got back, had to call 4 times and kept being told he had left already. Called at 10:50 pm was told he would be there by 11. Never showed up till 11:30. Do not rely upon them for their shuttle service getting back.

The reason we booked this hotel was to park and sleep the night before an early flight for vacation. We were charged for both the room and to park where parking was included IF and ONLY IF you booked thru the Park, Sleep Fly website. Lesson learned on our part.

I’ve stayed at other Clarion locations before and this one really caught me by surprise. We ended up changing rooms due to dirty linens etc. they were accommodating to that request but even the replacement room was subpar at best. This location needs a lot of attention

The tub had a rust ring and the toilet cover didnt match the toilet. Trash had not been taken out in our room and it smelled like stale smoke. We told the front desk girl and she assured us it had been cleaned.

The staff is great; very friendly and attentive. The lobby area looks nice along with the bar and dining area. But, when you reach the hallway to access the rooms, you see that it's run down and dirty. Once in the room, everything was outdated and the room was dirty. Several minutes into my stay, I noticed a roach crawling on the TV remote.

The shuttle service was good. The one that picked me up from the airport was a very nice looking black van.(in the dark, outwardly classy looking) It certainly was a false start‼️ I was exhausted, all I wanted was a shower and bed‼️ The bathtub was dirty, the rubber bath mat inside the tub looked like it had never been picked up and cleaned on it and under it⁉️ Needless to say, I did not shower. When I pulled back the covers, Truly, the sheets looked like they had not been changed‼️ As squeamish as I am, I was too tired to call or go back to the desk ( I was just returning from the death of my close friend ) so I picked one of the three “sofa size” pillows to rest my head on and slept fully clothed on top of the sheets‼️ This experience totally grossed me out‼️‼️‼️ ‼️ I DO “NOT” RECOMMEND‼️

I didn't even stay more than a hour!!! It was smelly dirty and they wouldn't give me a refund because they DON'T let you see the room which is fine. But it looked NOTHING like the pictures. The first room I was in the curtains wouldn't close and it smelled bad the second room I was in the microwave didn't work and smelled bad then when I tried to order some food they told me that on the day that I booked my room is when the restaurant decided to no longer affiliate themselves with the hotel.... I will not recommend anybody to waste their money here unless you are okay with a whole bunch of air fresheners being around to cover up the odor!

I liked the breakfast menu and the bed was comfortable. Staff was courteous. Unfortunately, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, there was a spider in the tub, and I woke up in the middle of a night to a guest knocking in my door and claiming it was her room. I told her it was the wrong room number.

No frills hotel, don’t expect anything fancy, but the rooms were relatively clean and well appointed. I am not sure if it was just our room, or the property in general, but the toilet was very slow. There are a few quick eat options near the hotel. For a place to sleep before an early flight it did the trick.

We have stayed here 15 times with decent service . Exit door by room slammed hard all night making for the most miserable stay ever. When mentioned at the frontlines desk I received a smile and sorry. We have a future booking already and reconsidering our stay as not impressed with “new management”

The room was a normal king room, it was clean but it needed some maintenance on a couple areas including the dripping shower that I didn’t notice until we were in bed for the night. I reported it, so hopefully they are good about repairing things. Surprisingly the pillows were decent which is a big deal for me.

We were there while the staff had their Christmas party and they were nice enough to invite us. We didn’t attend because we had other responsibilities but thought it was a nice gesture anyway. The room was quiet and comfortable. And the food from the on site restaurant was reasonably priced and very tasty.

We needed a place close to the airport, and the hotel served that purpose. We were very disappointed to find out that the restaurant they promote had select hours and the lounge was not open. Having both on the premises was a reason we choose the hotel. The BIGGEST disappointment was the bathroom in our room. With the shower curtain hiding the full view if the shower head, it wasn't until the morning, we found out we needed to hold the handheld shower head in order to take a shower. We were able to make it work, but VERY inconvenient when you are looking forward to a nice hot shower. The combination of of the bathroom, the lounge, and the restaurant mad the visit disappointing.

First they wouldn’t give us breakfast in the morning saying I booked through a 3rd party which I’ve never heard of that in my life. I paid $225 for the room $150 Cash deposit all cash transactions. I check out Sunday June 22nd 2025 and they say I owe $30 of cash deposit because of rose pedal marks on the sheets which comes out easily when washed. Just a whole rip off wouldn’t recommend staying at their hotel ever again!! Highly disappointed. And when leaving the front desk clerk older lady got into it with my wife very unprofessional acting as if she was a teenager.

I was to take my husband to the airport for a return trip to his homeland of Peru. We spent the night prior at the Clarion because of its shuttle service to the airport. Luis was at the hotel desk when we registered. When I told him that I had broken two ribs a few weeks ago, he immediately placed us in a 1st floor room near a side entrance. He was empathetic because he, too, had broken ribs in the past. After my husband’s departure, I extended my stay a couple of nights. I needed to regain strength before the long drive home to Northern Michigan from Detroit. I was comfortable. The room was especially quiet to allow needed rest, and the staff made accommodations for me to remain in the same room. It was greatly appreciated.

Hotel was just right for an overnight stay after a 500 mile drive and then an outbound flight at DTW early next morning. Shuttle was very clean and efficient to get me to McNamara terminal. If you don’t need ‘bells and whistles ‘ it’s a great deal.

Very clean stay I stayed in the king non-smoking room and was a very reasonable price. Also seems like it was newly renewed and walking distance to various restaurants and gas station. Also a shuttle to the airport!

The property the hotel is on is okay but the area surrounding it is dismal. The roads are severely potholed and the local businesses engage in gouging. What a shame. It could and should be so much better.

Not being familiar with this area led us to take a chance. We made an excellent choice. The hotel is just off the freeway. It is a maximum of 10 minutes from rental car return. It is a maximum of 10 minutes from the airport. Everything fell right into place. The registration staff was informed, helpful and friendly. We needed an extra set of towels that was provided quickly and with a smile. We requested cleaning and tidying after the regular cleaning time. The front desk attendant, the housekeeping supervisor and the cleaning staff coordinated the request and the information to accommodate us. We would recommend this facility to anyone. In addition, there is ongoing renovation that is unobtrusive to guests. If we are in the DTW area again we will be staying at this Clarion.

The property is by the airport and they have free shuttle. The only problem i had in this hotel is checking in. I got there around 1pm and the lady was asking me for extra $40 for early check in. I am a frequent traveller and stayed in different hotels and most of my flights are in the morning and never had a problem checking in early. They would check me in right away. This property also is an hr away from downtown. Maybe it was just a wrong timing when i went to Detroit. Maybe it would be transporta friendly in the summer.

I congratulate them for the amount of work they have done to clean the hotel up. For the most part the smell of pot is gone. Rooms are in desperate need of new furniture and remodeling. Breakfast buffet is ok, but eggs, potatoes, and sausage are typically cold.

Room was fine. Very clean. My big gripe is that they charge $15 for breakfast even though the website says that a continental breakfast is free. Very upset that I had to pay for a buffet breakfast when I should have had a free breakfast.

We needed a place close to the airport, and the hotel served that purpose. We were very disappointed to find out that the restaurant they promote had select hours and the lounge was not open. Having both on the premises was a reason we choose the hotel. The BIGGEST disappointment was the bathroom in our room. With the shower curtain hiding the full view if the shower head, it wasn't until the morning, we found out we needed to hold the handheld shower head in order to take a shower. We were able to make it work, but VERY inconvenient when you are looking forward to a nice hot shower. The combination of of the bathroom, the lounge, and the restaurant mad the visit disappointing.

The price was right, it was nice that it has a grill and bar on the site, and a convenience store very close. Clean and friendly. Only trouble is their policy not to give people who use Hotels.com or other online reservation the free breakfast. The guy at the desk waived the policy for me, but I think it’s a bad policy that could give them less than perfect reviews.

For the price, everything more than met my expectations. Check in went smoothly, and all public areas were clean. My room was spacious and clean, and my bed was comfortable. The motel is located less than ten minutes from the Detroit Metro terminals. I didn't go to the bar or restaurant on site. I drove less than five minutes from the hotel to the Beirut Restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine. The prices there were very good and the food tasted delicious.
