Extended Stay America Suites - Detroit - Metropolitan Airport

Nothing wrong with the hotel but i wasnt able to check in or stay here the power was out when i arrived still waiting on a refund

Didn’t stay here because the elevator wasn’t working. Room on the 3rd floor, and the staff wasn’t sure when it would be working. I would’ve had to make several trips into the room with luggage for me and my guests wasn’t physically capable of doing 3 flights of stairs.

If I were you, I wouldn’t stay here. We arrived and the property smelled and was very run down. We got to our room and didn’t feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the place(the white bedding was stained) We stayed for the weekend and our first night we woke up to no power, and they don’t have backup generators. We couldn’t use our basic amenities like the fridge, microwave, hair tools to get ready, or the “complimentary breakfast”(which is only oatmeal and coffee). I guess you get what you pay for….needless to say we were very disappointed in our stay and won’t be coming back.

Well the rooms there is nothing as far as hairdryer hair conditioner samples any extras there is none not even books or menu no phone book it's very very basic the breakfast that they supposedly had Continental was coffee oatmeal and packets and protein bar that's it nothing else it was all in the lobby at the counter no sitting area or nothing they have nothing here not even ice machines I was very disappointed in that

This property shows up on Travelocity when I filter for "Free Shuttle to Airport" -- but no shuttle service is available. This is an important service -- perhaps it can be done in partnership with other nearby hotels. Taxi was very expensive.

Alarm went off for at least 2 hours. Changed rooms 3 times before I found one that didn't smell like animal urine. When cleaning up spilt my dew of the floor in the kitchen part the white towel turned brown as if I was cleaning up mud and the carpet felt sticky

The 1-9pm Front desk guy was super polite and friendly. No dishes, cups, paper towels, or anything in room. Batteries missing from remote. No directions for Wi-Fi. Long hair on pillow. Furniture was falling apart. No ice machines. Three horrible pillows. Super think blankets and rough sheet. Heater and cooling worked nicely. Could hear highway and cars clearly in bed. Tub faucet leaked loudly all night. Asked for late check out. Normal checkout 11am. Knock on door at 1010 to see if we were leaving. Called from front desk to ask when we’re leaving at 1030. Awesome shower pressure. Kitchen sink was filthy. To top off the stat the lamp looked like it was filled with fish flies so my bf ram the lamp into the hallway and it was just super filthy. See pics. We’re not crazy. Won’t stay here again. Ever.

The property did not have an ice machine. Fine for those staying more than 1 night but those who may have traveled a distance and would like ice for a beverage it would be helpful.

I like the inside room space but limited parking outside and no amenities. I don’t like the smokes smell when supposed no smoking sign.

TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Smells of weed as soon as you walk in the lobby. Elevator not working. We literally saw dirty underwear in the hallway walking to our room. We didn't even stay the night, ended up leaving early because it was so disgusting. Do not stay here!!

It was so dirty we couldn't take our socks off, nobody cleaned the fridge and we found food on it, it was disgusting.

Dirty, stinky, gross

Hands down the worst hotel “stay” I’ve ever had. Front Desk Agent has nothing to do with this review they were great. The hotel reeks of smoke and was loud. There were chicken bones in the hallway and on the fire extinguisher. The room had mouse poop on the floor. The furniture looked like it had been gnawed all over. There was a cigar wrapper under the bed along with mystery stains on the sheets. When we turned on the ac unit, it instantly filled the room with a horrible smoke smell that was nauseating. The “clean” bathroom towels had pubes on it. There was hair on the walls. And the small travel shampoo was almost empty which clearly was leftover from the last guest. We checked out an hour later and stayed elsewhere.

The beds were clean, and that is the only good thing I can say about it. The floors and chairs were stained, and everything was extremely dated.

Find somewhere else to stay. The rooms (I was moved to three different ones) and the hotel itself were lacking cleanliness all around. The tops of the stoves and refrigerators were all filthy. The door to my first room had a claw mark on the outside of the door not appealing to two females traveling alone. The first room the stove light was on when we entered the room. It stayed on for nearly two hours. I didn't want there to be a carbon monoxide leak in the room. The TV also did not get a signal in the first room. Then there were stains all around the room and the furniture looked old and damaged. I called the front desk to complain. I was moved to another room. The second room had dirty marks in the same spots in the room as the first room had. The vents were disgusting. The top of the refrigerator, and the stove top were both dirty and the shower had the last person's hair all in it. I went down to the lobby to complain again. I was moved across the hall (next to the stair case again not safe for two women). This room smelled like someone was smoking in the room with us. The smell of smoke bothers me and causes issues with my breathing. The vents were disgustingly filthy in every room the bathroom vents were full of dirt and the bathroom ceilings were dirty with what appeared to be black mold. The towels in every room were dingy which makes no sense with an on site laundry. Finally, the floor had a huge mark on it that appeared to be blood but it was an iron mark.

I was looking for a last minute, affordable, pet-friendly stay near the airport. Extended Stay was all of that, and more. It was a studio unit with a small kitchenette. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for us. I will choose this hotel every time.

For the price I was expecting a lot more. The room was dated. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, on of the lamps were broken, and the room had a weird smell. I could also hear my neighbors tv and kids through the wall. It was nice that they had a stove top but they didn’t provide and utensils, pots, etc to take advantage of it. The staff was nice but the room was meh.

plumbing issue toilet was plugged up when we got there they had to unplug it every day then they stopped left a plunger my room had to do it myself never stay here again

Agent tried to charge me again for my stay. I requested a late checkout due to the delay in checking in and they would only offer me 30 minutes. The appliances are at least twenty years old so if you’re looking for a place to cook look elsewhere. There was so much rust on the stove top and paint was peeling off the fridge.

1st room we had floor was soaked they said from being cleaned, 2nd room only 1 burner worked called about it never got fixed. 1st night we had people pounding on our door at 2 am then they were slamming doors & yelling.

The bed was a little too soft and I heard noise from other rooms and upstairs. Otherwise all was great. Seemed very clean.

The young man with locs was very helpful accommodating and compassionate. He needs a promotion and raise!!! He helped make a crazy night become a comfortable peaceful stay.

I purchased this for my daughter when she arrived at the hotel. They said they had no room for her. They were supposed to send you an email stating that we were request to refund and we request you look at your policies because this room was purchased through your website and when my daughter got there, there was no room. It was after midnight and it was storming and she was traveling solo. Don’t think I will use your service again when it’s.

We arrived at 11 pm after having confirmed our stay (and paid in advance) only to find out they didn't have our room anymore. We were told we could call Expedia or go to another hotel. After talking they found a 1 double bed room for our family of 3. It was late so we just took it. The place reeked of pot (not just our room, but the elevator, hallways). The floors were sticky in our room, bathroom didn't flush, and the elevator was dirty. Excellent location but a very badly managed hotel. Will never stay there again.

The staff made check-in effortless. The room was clean and stocked with towels. It might sound basic but I've checked in lots of big brand hotels and they have no towels. Most importantly I felt welcomed at this property.

Been here off practically this whole month and have had nothing but great service, especially Matt at the front desk he is great and has been so helpful to us

You let me book a room that was NOT available, only to show up and be turned away. I need a refund!

Initially was provided a room that was occupied. Second room was pretty rough......fridge, stove and interior wall by window ect. Would not recommend, although I suspect that room is only used when at full capacity.

The room itself was very nice, pleasantly so. The Hotel itself was located by the airport so the surroundings weren't vacation quality, but it was clean and safe. My only knock on the place was they advertised it as including breakfast, which was not on site but took the form of a coupon for a local restaurant. We were there to go fishing so having to load up and go somewhere else for breakfast would have taken to much time. It just would have been nice to get the whole scoop before we arrived. Also this particular day they were 45 minutes late getting even the coffee service set up. Now having said all of that I thought this place was a great value and we will be staying there again when we go back in two weeks.

Quick few hours of sleep before flight...no wow factor...it's a room

I was looking for a last minute, affordable, pet-friendly stay near the airport. Extended Stay was all of that, and more. It was a studio unit with a small kitchenette. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for us. I will choose this hotel every time.

Room were not clean as expected. Room was smelly and toilet wasn’t cleaned well. There were people smoking weed in the lobby and it not felt safe during check-in at night with family.

Staff were friendly and extremely helpful! Convenient to airport parking and shuttle service.

Decent night stay for the night before our flight. Great location.

This was a no nonsense property. Definitely clean enough and good for an inexpensive night. Sleep by the airport. A little dated the blanket was barely more than a sheet. But other than that, it was comfortable and acceptable.

Unsafe and sketchy environment over all. I have never been in a hotel where I felt this unsafe. I highly recommend every one stay away from it especially if you are a women and alone. There was a man who was being very weird and sketchy and checked us out as we were checking in. The cleaning staff made a lot of noise banging the door next to our room in the morning.

Professional and 24/7 hot coffee!!

The room itself was very nice, pleasantly so. The Hotel itself was located by the airport so the surroundings weren't vacation quality, but it was clean and safe. The breakfast to-go is a cereal bar and a muddy type of coffee. Facilities are quite OK, but overall it’s somewhat below average.

Everything good, breakfast could improve 👍 But a great option

Hotel breakfast also the rooms bathroom fan was filthy and we’re breathing that air not good. The bats head sheets for blankets.
