Flamingo Motel

This is one of the most affordable places to stay. It serves the purpose of having a room with an Ocean View. They have a pool, although not heated and actually really cold. But it is definitely a plus! They should try sweeping up around the pool more often, but that's not a big issue. I've been staying there now for 4 years in a row and will continue to go back.

Parking is horrible god forbid you go to get fool you will be stuck finding street parking! How do you have so many rooms booked and not enough parking?? HUGE INCONVENIENCE!! Also items was stolen out of my room as well as my sisters room and all the front desk staff had to say was I needed to make a police report! Staff comes in your room I announced, and I don’t like that either. When I said something they said you have to ask for DND sign which is weird because most hotels/Motels have them or they don’t. Thought it was weird I had to ask for one!

The only thing I can say about the property is that the elevator is very dated it ran slow smelled like it was gonna catch on fire but other then that the beds were clean no bugs the room was very clean not a speck of dust all the way down to the filter in the AC!! 10/10 recommend close to the beach a little ways from the board walk but the tram car is 2mins down the road!! Def will be staying again!!

Overall I did enjoy this property but had several issues. The microwave was unusable. It was completely rusted out with the coating inside peeling off. The toilet was horrendous. Not bolted down so rocked back and forth. Also, it only flushed maybe 1 out of every 5 times. No coffee pot in room even tho pic and description said it did (we were given one eventually). Tv only worked sometimes and cut in and out and kept freezing. Even with all that, the room was clean, the beds were comfy and staff were very nice. The pools were great along with the location. So much stuff within walking distance. Renovations are needed but this is typical for OC,MD.

Rooms are noisy and in disrepair. Elevators not working entire trip.

The photo of the room I Booker was definitely not the place to be got. Slight ocean view. There was broken glass under the toilet and sink in the bathroom. The mini fridge smelled horrible in the freezer. I think the person who stayed before us left crabs or something in there. The positives, great location, the pool is amazing! Front desk clerks were very helpful and social. I recommend for a friend group trip but not for families

The room and bathroom are not cleaned well with d in the corners of the showers. Stained towels.. and only one room of toilet patter. In addition To the elevator not working for the duration of our stay.

is worth the money close to the beach just a room but there was no ice machine working in any building

Our television didn't work. Great price. Super close to the beach. Pool was large and clean.

Great location near the beach. Ice machine out of service in Tower 1. Had to go to Tower 2 which wasn't convenient. The hotel is a little outdated and not very clean but ok to shower and sleep.

Found bedbugs.

The whole place was carpeted. So with an indoor pool, and being close to the ocean, the place smelled musty. No cable like the ad said, and the inside of the microwave was rusted out. The toilet took 3 times to flush. But the a.c. worked, and we had a decent view. For the price its what i expected.

Pool and proximity to the beach. Dirty rooms. Sheets were NOT changed. Stains on sheets and bedding.

The property was located perfectly. The room was not clean. Trash behind the mini fridge, white substance on bedding & fecal matter on emergency exit sign on the inside of the door. When brought to their attention they said they didn't have availability to move us to a different room even though the light outside said they had vacancy. Instead they came with fabuloso in a spray bottle to "clean" items noted.

Blood in the bathroom and brown stains that could have been just cola, or something innocent. The lamp had a metal strip that gave us a zap when we touched it... Stay far away from Room 215. Nice location but honestly seamed sketchy as hell.

The smell of the Tower 2 building was terrible. The pad lock on our room door was broken, screws kept falling out every time we closed the door. Behind toilet the floor was black I guess from toilet leaking before. Toilet clogged every time we flushed and had to call for maintenance to plunge because no plungers in bathroom. The wall outlets were missing covers and our charges would not stay plugged in, had to use bedside stand to push against charger to hold it into wall. We had 4 guest and when I booked I booked for 4 guest. Every day we had to call for more towels and wash clothes because we were given 1 set! Not worth the money at all. I expected it to be outdated but this was TERRIBLE.

Definitely could have been a lot cleaner. The sheets and towels had stains. Thankfully no bugs. If you get cold at night bring a blanket, what is provided is very thin. Good ocean view, with beach access.

The place is very poorly maintained, everything is falling apart towels and bedding are old and stained. For the price they charge for an ocean front room it should look a little nicer. When we checked in there was sand on the floor from the guest before us. I asked the next morning if someone could come up and clean the floor I was told that someone would be right up, we left for the day and when we came back the floor was still dirty. The location is great and the outdoor pool was nice.

Paid for a room with hardwood floor. Looked NOTHING like the pictures besides the bathroom. Got a stained carpet room covered in mold. The wallpaper corners are peeling off because it’s all mold behind it. Asked for a different room, they said no and said they will clean it the next day (we were the one night so that is not helpful). Even had dead bugs next to bed stand. Reached out to Expedia for assistance and even they couldn’t get through to the hotel to try to resolve this. Only good thing is it’s a great location. Our friends on lower level, had a remodeled room which still had mold on walls. Place should be shut down. I have PLENTY of pictures!!!!!!

Flamingo Hotel is a nice, clean place. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We stayed in an ocean view room that had easy access to the beach. The only problem i had was that the bed was hard as a rock. It was not comfortable at all.

what i liked is that it is on the beach. what i didnt like was broken things like lite switches and cable was coming out of the wall, also wifi didn't work. place needs tlc

We were really pleased with our stay. The motel is located close to the boardwalk and other activities. Room was really spacious and our ocean view was wonderful. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Could use some bathroom updates, but that wouldn’t stop us from booking again. Overall they do a job managing an older building.

We booked quickly and front desk staff was great. Key card failed a couple times. Room older but balcony was nice.

Overall, stay was everything we needed it for. Mini fridge was nice and cold, room had a great view, bathroom was small but had a nice shelf. Downside the screen door for the balcony the screen was open at the bottom & we believe the ac (set at 69) leaked with caused some wet carpet. All was manageable & we would stay again

This was our second time in Tower 2, first time on the 3rd floor, this time on the 5th floor. Amazing view both times, entrance to the dune is right there making it super easy to get on the beach. The indoor pool was clean, the property is older but very well maintained. The room was clean, beds this time were a little soft, but for the price it can't be beat. EVERYONE on staff was so very kind and attentive. If you're looking for a luxury stay this won't be it, but if you're looking for a clean, quiet, affordable place with a terrific view, this is it. We've never stayed in Tower 1 so I can't vouch for the view there but it didn't look as nice.

The room did not have a single hanger, the iron was missing, the curtain rod was hanging off the wall on one side and the sliding door frame came apart. It was all eventually fixed and taken care off but I had to waste some of my vacation time to go to the office to ask for things and thing to be repaired and wait for the repair guy to fix things.

The room was nice for what ya get, but needs a lot of updating all around. Patio door was broke, shower head is old and wearing, some pillows had like lipstick looking stains on them, and no matter what we tried to do the WiFi wouldn’t work for the tv and kept unconnecting from our phones. I will say the beds were comfy, view was great, and most things in the area were very accessible and nearby. If you are looking for a cheap stay and not worried about too much except a comfy bed and cable tv with being close to the beach this would be your spot.

No complaints…… Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed anything. Check in was pleasant and the view from the room was excellent. Kids had a blast.

I recently stayed at the Flamingo Motel for two nights and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. Despite the motel’s decent location in Ocean City, the customer service ruined the experience for us. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready for the promised 4pm check-in time, and it seemed like we weren’t the only ones experiencing this delay. Several customers were left waiting for their rooms. There was no manager to help with this situation. Once we did get access to our room, there were only two towels for a room that could accommodate up to five people. The check-in process itself was also frustrating. There was no clear communication about the privacy lock on the door, and we ended up getting locked out of our room that created inconvenience. On top of that, housekeeping ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign, and I was rudely awakened at 8am by a housekeeper attempting to enter our room. To make matters worse, I couldn’t get in touch with the manager and there was no posted schedule or contact information, and even Hotels.com couldn’t reach them on my behalf. It felt like customer service was completely lacking at this motel. Overall, my stay at Flamingo Motel was disappointing. While the location was decent, the lack of communication, poor housekeeping practices, and lack of support from management make it hard to recommend. I hope the motel addresses these issues in the future.

The room was well-equipped and cleanly. Stayed with 3 kids (7,4 & 10mnths). We had enough room to set up a pack'n'play for the baby.They loved the pools. Front desk were very helpful, cleaning staff was also respectful.

Great stay, good location. This motel did not disappoint. Staff was great I would stay here again.

Tha lady that checked us in was rude. She acted like she was in another world. Maids were great and helpful. More than the front desk. Management was awful. Our key card would keep deactivating. We went back to office 3 times to get new key cards

Great experience on vacation at Flamingo. The staff and accommodations were above my expectations. Definitely would stay there again.

From the very start, it was obvious that the front desk staff at the Flamingo Motel DO NOT like Hotels.com. I had requested a 3rd or 4th floor several times prior to my visit and was ultimately told it would not happen since I booked the trip through Hotels.com. Today when I checked out, the man said he would not print a receipt because I'd receive one by email from Hotels.com. (Last year there was no problem printing a receipt and I booked through Hotels.com then as well.) Another issue was that I was unable to connect to wi-fi with my laptop. The front desk staff told me it was due to an issue with MY computer. Several days later, by some miracle, the wifi worked! Apparently someone much scarier than me complained and someone on the staff turned it on. Very frustrating! One final note, there was mold on the ceiling and the plumbing was terrible.

I was double charged at the front desk for one night. The staff reported the motel did not get the paid in advanced from online.

Motels are always hit or miss. Upon check in I was notified I was switched to a studio instead of suite which I originally booked. I was told nothing can be done. There was six of us trying to fit into a room that sleeps 4. We had to spend money at walmart for an air mattress, strike number 1. Our first day/night our AC kept glitching on and off. Finally around 1am we had enough and I went down to the front desk.. yall, the overnight kid was knocked out slouched behind the corner & didnt even hear me trying to wakw him for almost 2min. He only woke up because his phone rang. When he seen me, he starred at me blankly without even acknowledging me or apologizing for being sleep during my time of need.. he got so irritated about needing assistance with our AC due to maintenance not being on call over night. when i asked to be moved, he said he couldnt. when i demanded a manager, he said he has no one to call. he was insisting me and my young children sleep in a hotel room until help could come. UNACCEPTABLE!!! i made his behind get up & boy was he upset. needless to say our AC didnt get completely fixed to next day. the manager on duty that morning was a complete gem (give her a raise) she tried to accommodate us as best as she could with a new ac unit or another room with or originally booked suite if the AC needed alot of work. but housekeeping was great, the pools too. motel in walking distance of everything we needed. beach was right out back. 5/10. wouldnt stay again.

I like the location of the property. It is just off the end of the boardwalk. I like both the indoor and outdoor pools. I like the ocean facing rooms with the pink Adirondack chairs on the balcony. I don't like the Keurig coffee in the office lobby. I really liked the coffee they had prior to that.

Staff are super nice, room was clean, and the beach is just steps away. The only thing is the board walk is far away.

We've stayed here for years and in the same building. The only negative were the carpeted floors. Everytime you walked on them your feet turned black. They really need a shampoo. Otherwise beds and showers were great a/c worked just fine. This hotel is walking distance to several great local resturants, beach is 1/2 block east and boardwalk is only 3 blocks. No need to move your car.

This was a post-Labor Day get-a-way to work on research for my book; so once I checked-in, I stayed inside till check-out. My focus was on work, so the amenities were of little interest to me. The room was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Be aware that Tower One (where my room was) was off the beach, behind another building, so you see the ocean at an angle, which they call Ocean View, which is fine. You have a private balcony, which is nice. I pulled the desk in front of the door, so I could look out at the ocean while I was working. Unfortunately, at night, the light above the desk was not very bright, so I felt handicapped in doing my research. I guess they figure people are not going to go there to work. Next time I will bring a light with me. I had some noisy neighbors, which was a bit annoying. Be aware, that in-season, you may have problems with parking, as there doesn't seem to be enough spaces there. When I got there, before check-in, I got there early, got my space, and stayed there, walking the 2 miles down the Boardwalk. The Tram is currently no longer operating due to a tragic accident; so you may have to consider a bus. Overall, it was a good experience; and I would stay there again.

We really liked the beds, very comfortable, the walk to the beach was very convenient. The balcony was great as was the pool. The staff was very polite & professional. It was wonderful having a refrigerator, microwave & elevator. The only negative is the lack of hot water but if you’re not taking a shower when everyone else is there’s plenty. I would stay at the flamingo again

It was an ok place. We emptied our own garbage, made our own beds, begged for towels and toilet paper. It really needs some TLC. GREAT location, workers were friendly.

Close to the beach, nice property. A little walk to the main part of the boardwalk but definitely doable. Would definitely come back

it' friendly folks willing to just chat and makes me feel welcome. It's also walking distance of my favorite breakfast place. It's within a block of the beach. The price was good my room gave me a view of the beach but we were still at least a block away. Parking is interesting but mangle

I loved the ocean view efficiency! We moved the dining table to the window and enjoyed our own brunches and dinners with candlelight overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and the kitchenette was sufficiently stocked with cookware and a toaster. The outdoor pool was not open, but the indoor pool was nice with an outside shower. It was nice to have access to it after we checked out to wash our feet after the final walk on the beach. We thought the hotel coffee in the lobby was very good, too. The staff was so nice and helpful. We even forgot our electric toothbrush and charger and made arrangements for them to send it to us. We liked the fact that the hotel was only 3 blocks from the end of the boardwalk. It was quiet as long as neighboring guests were not too rowdy. We enjoyed the sunrises, riding our bikes on the boardwalk and many walks on the beach. It was also close to the 28th St Laundromat (which we used) and a Mini Mart on 31st St that we visited twice. We stayed for 7 nights for a very economical price. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We would recommend the Flamingo to others. We hope to see you again!

Good staff, clean room, good rate. Pool was under construction, no coffee maker in the room, poor water pressure.

I loved the indoor and outdoor pools, the ocean view balcony and the efficiency. The coffee in the lobby is really good too!

The Flamingo was affordable and nice. Not the cleanest, because of sand everywhere, but asked for more towels and blankets and they personally brought them to us. No coffee makers in the room, but coffee and different creamers in the office. People were friendly and accommodating. Would do it again.
