Sleep Inn & Suites Hagerstown

Well to start off i booked this room because it had an indoor pool and hot tub, get there and it was under renovation!!! Then the room i booked showed that it had a king bed and a jacuzzi bathtub, get to the room and it had two double beds and just a shower!! Staff was very nice and hotel was in a good location!!

Everything was great, excellent breakfast! Only issue that I was unaware off before checking in was that the pool and hot tub were not usable at the time of my stay.

Found a lions den receipt in one of the beds. Somewhat clean. Water smelled musty and room had a not great odor. Carpets look really dated. Pool was closed even though it was indoors. You could see it still had water but had a gross film on top. Breakfast was okay. Would not stay here again. Sad really because Sleep Inn at lake George NY was really nice.

I love that the property is an easy on/off the highway, is next door to a Cracker Barrel for no additional travel to grab a bite after an 8 hour driving day! The Inn is always clean and tidy (just finished cleaning the hallway rugs) and even smells fresh. We also like the breakfast nook - nothing exceptional but perfect for a simple and quick jump start before heading out on another travel day without spending time at a sit down restaurant. I wish some attention could be addressed toward security. The back door to the facility that should require a room key to open, doesn’t even close - never mind lock and has been that way as long as we have been staying here. On this visit, the elevator was broken and because the pet friendly rooms are only on the second floor, we had to wrangle a dog up and down a flight of stairs that we (in our late 70’s) can barely navigate ourselves. Otherwise, another enjoyable stay and looking forward to our next trip through Hagerstown.

Smells like mold everywhere, very old tv, the pool is closed no notice, very limited options for food if u re here late in the nights!

Property is in decline. 3rd time I have stayed here in last 6 months and has closed the entire time with the same side. They are just not repairing it. While my room was clean, the toilet paper holder was brake off the wall, the TV remote did not work correctly, the light over the sink did not work and the carpet was torn. Breakfast is good and it was clean.

The room stunk, the carpet, couch and chair was stained and dirty. The grout was falling off and had mold on it. We SPECIFICALLY CHOSE the hotel for the pool and hot tub. The pool was green and the hot tub was drained and Nasty. It looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS. Luckily the only thing clean was the bed. Breakfast was disgusting and had maybe enough food for 3 people (if) it was edible. They ran out of coffee. There was NO shower curtain in the shower. Literally the worst….

It was okay, the gym need upgrading and the pool wasn't set up for the guests to enjoy. Other than that, it was a good stay.

The property is aging but they are doing renovations. But we booked this hotel specifically to use the pool snd hot tub for relaxing after hiking. Upon checking in we were told it is closed. I never would have booked it knowing that. Still had to pay full price and booking with expedia did not give any better deal than dealing with hotel directly. Overall was not satiafied with booking and deal.

The condition of the room was unsatisfactory, necessitating extensive cleaning of all surfaces. The walls exhibited coffee stains, the carpet was soiled, and the knobs and switches were contaminated. I have not previously encountered a room requiring such thorough preparation before occupancy. While I intend to utilize my loyalty points, I will not be selecting Choice Hotels for future accommodations. That by choice.

We checked in, dropped our bags, and went to dinner. We came back to our room and within 30 seconds of being back in the room, we noticed a roach crawling out from under the tv and across our things. We immediate left and went to a different hotel across town. The front desk staff had been extremely helpful and courteous during the check-in, I didn’t want to convey any distaste to them, so I simply left. The state of the hotel beyond the roaches was acceptable considering the price, but roaches are not acceptable, and the desk staff shouldn’t have to deal with that. Also, the entire property smelled like cigarettes. There should be a disclaimer that the property used to be a smoke friendly property. Very dissatisfied with the property. Very pleased with the staff.

Therefore the smell remained in the room. Went to use the microwave & the knobs fell off. Next morning went down for breakfast & let's just say we had to walk across the street to eat, where the Waffle House & Cracker Barrel was located. Food was unbelieveable. Went out for the day & when we came back & we found that nothing had been done in the room. The bed was not made, the garbage was not emptied & the dirty towels were still on the floor. I went downstairs to ask about housekeeping & was asked when did we check in. I told her the night before & she said yeah we usually don't have housekeeping do the rooms until after you stay for the third day? I told her I wanted the room cleaned & was told housekeeping has already gone for the day. However to my surprise one of the girls at the front desk asked me if I wanted her to go up & clean the room. I told her yes just empty the garbage & take the towels & put fresh ones in the room.That was done when we got back from the evening event. We couldn't/wouldn't eat there, the rooms smelled bad & there is no service cleaning wise unless you are there 3 or more days. All this & they charged me $133 per night. I would never stay here again & I would tell everyone to stay away. I am angry that I had to pay that much for what I didn't get!

The place was terrible. there was poop on the walls on the toilets. I complained about it. The one girl showed me five different rooms that were filthy. She finally told me either. I take the last one or I could leave. We took it only because it was late at night and we were tired.

The walls were so dirty, smelled like someone was smoking from the next room

DON\'T STAY HERE. Absolutely filthy. A worker walks around with a rug cleaner but we never saw it used. I complained to the front desk that our carpet and curtains had stains all over it and trash behind the couch. She Rolled her eyes! And said, " Oh, thats weird, I gave you a room thats hardly used." Our bed had no mattress cover and only a thin sheet. I requested a mattress cover and the woman at the front desk said they were out and needed to order some. I asked for more sheets...3x. Finally 2 hours later the rug washer handler guy knocks at our door, yelled , "housekeeping!" AND LET HIMSELF IN!!!!! Thankfully our dog ran at the door barking and he ran back in the hall. Our dog is friendly but this stranger entering even startled him. The photos online are not what the rooms really look like. The foyer, hall and room carpets were dirty, ripped and covered in stains. They allow dogs but no one cleans up the waste. By the looks of the other patrons in the Breakfast area and hanging around the parking lot, its clear this place is also a rooming house / overflow for addicts and transients due to lack of housing in the area. Back entrance door propoped open late at night. Breakfast consisted of cold instant eggs, cold sausage, mushy tater tots and undercooked microwaved bacon. Apparently, pool amd hot tub closed though not reflected online. Photos online ARE NOT A TRUE REPRESENTATION of what this place really looks like. Beds do not have proper bedding, EVERYTHING has stains

This place is disgusting!!! Told the lady at the desk the vent was missing in the bathroom & there was several inches of debris hanging out of it. She told the other lady to tell the cleaning lady who said oh she’s not in today. What hotel doesn’t have a cleaning crew every day I can tell you when that never cleans our sheets were gross or pillowcases were gross. The bathroom was gross pretty much the entire place was disgusting and it smelled of cigarette smoke. I will never stay at that place again.

There were roaches that I made aware to the front desk. The lady that was in duty brushes it off like it was bi big deal. Asked for a manager. Said no one was in but they'd have him call me..of course,no call... Tried adding pics, wouldn't let me

For the price it was okay to stay. The rooms are not clean and my room had holes in the walls

The beds were only diubles, a queen would have been better. Nothing was plugged in when we arrived to our room which left my husband on his knees under the desk figuring out where to plug stuff in. The pool was closed which was not identified on the website. We specifically chose a hotel with a pool so it would have been nice to know it was closed. We would have chosen another place to stay. Breakfast was ok with plenty of options. The room was clean and the shower was nice. Overall a nice facility.

everything was wrong with our room, bed was broken, no toilet paper, floor so sticky my feet stuck to it, had to get another room, better, but coffee maker did not work, bathroom was not cleaned properly. Won't stay here or at any other Sleep Inn again

The place was overall OK. Needs to be updated. Room smell way too much like cleaning chemicals… Specifically Fabulosa. The room was small. But overall fairlygood experience.

The beds are always comfortable and theyhave a selection of pillows. The breakfast was good as usual. I find the bathrooms small and the sink was on the outside of the actual bathroom. The water pressure was non existent in the sink, but great in the shower

It was close to a lot of restaurants but the fact I couldn't have a working TV in my room was frustrating.

Property was fine, but bathroom design was a bit odd.

Front desk staff was walking out, after seeing us approach the desk. Came back in no hurry, with an attitude and was just overall rude.

The hotel condition was not what we expected . The service was good and I have mention a female worker , Marlene I thinks , she was taking care of the guests at breast. She was very friendly, professional and went the extra mile to help us. Thanks

Arrived and was informed pool not open this season. Was not offered someone to bring towels or sheets and blankets. Breakfast terrible. Room’s lights did not work in some areas. The tv remote did not work! Disappointed children!

I had paperwork for my service dog who was in training, was not given paperwork to fill out and charged, there was a 200.00 hold on my room for damages the MIGHT occur. Those types of things shouldn’t be hidden in the contract when you sign it I asked for a copy of the contract and was denied. I also asked for a receipt several times and that was denied. When I had a question about my bill, Tonya, who is an associate wagged her finger in my face aggressively. Then, when I tried to resolve the situation with the general manager, Julie, she was not accommodating whatsoever instead of de-escalating. She proceeded to try to escalate the situation and not handle it in a professional manner the outside of the grounds where you are supposed to let the dog relieve itself were littered with trash and human food, which is not suitable for a dog. The floor in my room was also not mopped. Julie continues to make false allegations about the dog, denied the refund. When I asked how long it would take for the $200 to go back into my account I was told by another associate “ I don’t know, call your bank” Clearly, there’s poor leadership at this establishment and it shows it has trickle down from the top all the way to the employees. I do a lot of traveling and I will never stay in a Hilton again. I canceled my stay and I decided to go to Frederick which is a large city with lots of hotels to choose from. This establishment put a $25 hold on my card.

I like it. It’s convenient for my trips between Western Maryland and the Baltimore-Washington area.

Location of hotel is very good. Located right off highway, this hotel is near a Walmart, Waffle House and plenty of gas stations and other food choices. The front desk and breakfast attendant were very nice. The room/hotel is outdated. It could have been cleaner. The rug in our room definitely had not been vacuumed. We were just passing through for the night, so we didn’t care about the lack of updates, but would not recommend if staying more than one night.

Easy on and off I70. Alot around to include a Cracker Barrel you can walk to in the same parking lot.

Close to lots of shopping and eating. Not thrilled that the hot tub was out of commission and it looked like the pool was not usable either, it had a vacuum in it all weekend and the water looked murky. Staff was great, the room was clean, free breakfast had eggs and tater tots in addition to the usual waffles and baked goods. I didn’t see any oatmeal, though.

I've stopped here 15 times over the last 9 years. I had a companion with me this time and we stopped at the continental breakfast, which was actually a full, free breakfast! I didn’t know how nice the place was and what a good deal I was getting.

The breakfast do not offer healthy fare, but the items served were of typical quality. The young lady that managed the food was exceptional!

This place is run down and the rooms are small. The staff seemed overwhelmed. The breakfast was probably the best thing about staying here. Very disappointed the pool still isn't working after months of being shut down.
