Quality Inn & Suites Hagerstown

Flea bag remodeling into a dive hotel. I don’t usually stay at Quality Inn. I booked this sight unseen in a city unknown to me while driving as far as we could that day. I’ve done this before, booked a hotel on the wrong side of tracks because I didn’t know the area. I never actually did this before but I asked the desk clerk behind the glassed in area if the hotel was safe to stay at. I wasn’t so much concerned for myself locked in a room as I was for the car parked in an open parking lot in this part of town. Would it be broken into by morning. It was a new model attractive and desirable rental. The room was clean although the sink was plugged and drained ever so slowly and the towel bar did fall off the wall. Brushing our teeth in the tub was an easy solution. I was very tired so the mattress felt wonderful. Breakfast was hot but minimal. The bananas were well spotted so I left them to spot some more for the other guests. Hopefully the chairs will be recovered. The man watching over breakfast was very attentive but he left the kitchen door open for view. Two places you never want to see is the basement of a nice hotel and the kitchen of a great restaurant. This is not a Quality Owned facility but a Quality licensed privately owned property. The owners name posted on on the wall had an Asian Subcontinent ring to it. In my experience folks from that part of the world have lower expectations of what nice is. So far I’m not a fan of curry.

The continental breakfast was good the room was nice. My mom was staying with me and has trouble getting around. I don't remember being notified on the booking that there is no elevator to the second floor so that was a inconvenience. The rates were in line with the amenities.

Parking was easy and accessible and plenty of it. Breakfast was excellent. Eggs, waffles, bacon. Very good

Stairs, but inside. No elevator..did not matter for me, but would for others. Not sure why people are still announcing rooms numbers out loud. It would be great if they would not do that.

Toilet seat was loose. Not to worry I tightened it. Funny cuz it seems to be a thing in all most every hotel I go to stay at. I started carrying screw drivers. Property seems to be in the not so greatest of locations, with a lot of different types of people running around after dark. Out side around the adjacent property.But I did feel secure in the hotel. they have many cameras. I was a little concerned about our motorcycles but everything was well. Absolutely a great staff. Helpful and pleasant.

I did not like that there was no elevator, no complementary bottles of water in the fridge. I liked that there were basic necessities in place , like fridge, microwave, and the ability to make tea. The room was clean and so was the bathroom.

Great staff easy walk around. Places to eat within walking distance. Lots of shopping near by. Good breakfast bar and eating area. Parking great with our truck and RV. If spending time in the area it is in the historic downtown area. Very easy access off the hwy. Clean room and comfy bed. Thank you Shy and Pat. Would stay again.

Property is going through renovation. Old furniture stacked in hallways. No mirror in room's bathroom, otherwise it was acceptable.

The hotel is going thru renovations so it was in disarray and I’m surprised it’s open. Lots of things were visually unsettling and wouldn’t have stayed here if I had known. Wish them luck and speed.

The hotel was much further off the highway than expected and was a little sketchy. Very Loud bar across the street - the Havana? No elevator and the room smelled funny. Bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Sheets has some burn marks, and the towels had some stain marks, tha halls smell marijuana most of the time

The property was one of the dirtiest I have ever been to. The bed and floor were covered in hair and other things such as dirt. I left 45 minutes after checking in due to the conditions. Would never recommend to anyone.

The check in was pretty quick and simple. The hotel does have a mildew odor in the hallways. Once I got to the room, the same mildew odor was in the room. The bathroom had dirty floor tiles and dirt on the toilet. The window curtains by the bed were dirty also. It looked like homeless people were gathering on the property also. I can't give this place a good review because of these reasons. I will not stay here again.

Dirty, condemned rooms, rat traps in hallways.

The hallways were quiet, but there was a strong odor in the hall and the room smelled of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The shower leaked water at the side and the floor got wet. The bed was confortable.

My husband and I were not impressed with this hotel. The lobby looked ok and the lady that checked us in was nice. But when we drove around to our room, things changed. There was garbage by the door we went in. A cup, plate and an empty bag of ice melt. there were also 2 rodent traps by the door and numerous ones along the windows in the building. As soon as we walked in there was a smell that actually smelled like marijuana and old smoke. It was very strong. Then we walked past a room that had a large bright sign that said the room was "Condemned and not inhabitable"... When we got to our room the room was not too bad but smelled like strong smoke when we were supposed to have a NON smoking room. The sink in the bathroom would not drain so had to brush my teeth in the bathtub. We did not even take a shower or go for breakfast. We just wanted out of there. The smoke smell was upsetting my stomach. The hotel need a lot of small things done on it and not sure how to fix the stale smoke smell. I did tell the man at the desk about the sink but just wanted to leave so did not mention anything else. We had to go and have breakfast some place else. Do not stay at this place......

Blood spots on bedding. Stained window blinds. Smelled like smoke even though nonsmoking.

Room smells like people smoked in the room

Staff was okay, but the hotel was dirty, smelled bad, stained sheets, inexplicable wet carpet, garbage behind the toilet. It was super gross

The room was clean but the facilities were a tired and the hallway rugs were musty smelling. Chair in room had stains. Bathroom sink faucet was loose and the hot water was non existent.

Beds were very comfortable!!!

Room was very old and tired looking. Would not stay here again.

Room was quiet, renovated, clean and easily accessible from the highway. Check-in was fast and there was plenty of parking.

Price was good for a decent room. The breakfast ends at like 9am so I missed it. It was quiet and safe. Room looked pretty good too. Decent bed lots of space. Everything else you must see for yourself.

Everything was great for the price that’s for sure. It was a good location for our late one night stay on our way back to break up the drive. The only thing I’d say was wrong was there was no hot water to shower! I had seen that in previous comments of travellers weeks ago and had hoped it would affect us. It wasn’t the end of the world!

Convenient and easy check in. clean and quiet. King bed was a bit lumpy

Front desk was amazing

Hotel is average - okay for one night to stay. Had to call on a phone in the lobby to have someone come to the front to check people in - there were about 4 of us waiting. Room was nice and clean and bed was comfortable. Check out isn't until 11am but we had housekeeping knocking on our door beginning at 9am to see if we were there.

The service was fabulous from the gentleman checking us in at 10:00 pm to the breakfast lady who went above and beyond to make our breakfast filling, and we were last minute at 9:45 am. Great Job

Excellent customer service

This particular hotel was also used to house homeless people. It smelled like marijuana in the hallways. There were noises in the hallway that woke me up around 1am. The receptionist was testy at best. He had to be reminded to put the room number on the keycard. The “buffet “ breakfast room was filled with “unfortunate homeless” cussing, coughing and sitting against the counters complaining that there was no eggs and sausage and the like for breakfast. The OJ was watered down at best and room temperature. There wer 2 waffle makers there but no waffle mix. I felt very uncomfortable and repulsed. I left and ate breakfast elsewhere.

The area isn’t the greatest.

Very friendly staff. Old, old property but has been renovated. Groups of homeless with shopping carts were gathered in the courtyard outside our window. Tons of litter and rat traps everywhere. We didn't even bother with the included breakfast. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable. We just felt we were in the poorest industrial area in the US.

This is great value for your buck. Staff is very very nice, it’s an older property and it need a bit of love and is not at a great location a bit far from the highway compared to other offerings, but the rooms are clean and the do have great room set ups. We go there all the time and we love it.

Did the job for one night but the property is in rough shape. Area feels unsafe but nothing bad happened. There is one room that’s condemned and an abandoned truck in the parking lot.

No idea howb this property even got a single star. Connected to an econolodge. Parking lot super scary and full of trash. Vagrants outside hotel on the back side. Guy was friendly enough but property was stagnant, dirty and unkept. Our room was cold and the lock was busted off the door. We walked in and right back out. Terrible and very very scary. I wpyldnt have stayed even by myself, let alone traveling with two children.

Didn't like the limited breakfast. Could do more for sanitation around food. Need to close containers that have food in them.

Clean and well kept rooms although exterior is not attractive or cleaned up well. Breakfast buffet was good but make sure you go early as they definitely don't overstock it!

We were put into a room that had a broken bolt on the door, dirty tub floor, paint splotches all the place, painters tape on the closet door handle, stunk like Marijuana and window curtain did not close all the way. At breakfast, there was not enough breakfast food. When it ran out, the attendant gave an attitude about refilling the eggs and sausage plus would not refill the juice machine.

It was good that everything worked. Things were clean and in working condition. Breakfast was okay too!

No breakfast due to remodeling (no discount though). First room no light bulbs, changed room, noisy air conditioner and then toilet valve not working so had to fill tank from bucket to flush it. I didn't see until morning that side of mattress had streaky brown stain that looked like feces, they just put a sheet right over it. Disgusting place. I hope they go out of business.
