Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro

The staff couldn't find our check in, for about 10 minutes. The room was 50 degrees when we got into it. The hot water in the shower kept turning cold!! And the lobby smelled like a dishwasher full of rotten fish. I told the staff about the shower and they said oh that happens.

Even though I was only there 15 hours, I love everything about my stay: easy check-in, beautifully-appointed and superbly-clean room, delicious and fresh breakfast in the morning and a friendly, warm, helpful staff

Clean room but small. No where to put clothes away. Loud noises of furniture being scooted around above us. Shower spigot too tall to adjust. Hangers too high to use.

The Beacon Hill is a nice little boutique hotel in a great area. Busy street and very close to the parks. The room was small, but well appointed. Very nice for a solo traveler or couple. There was a fair amount of hall noise and mechanical sounds, though not sure of the source.

Air conditioner in room did not work, making it difficult to sleep. Shower was warm but not hot. Could hear people in the hall during the early morning (room description stated sound proofing). Bed and pillows comfortable.
