Great stay for 2! Pool is small but never crowded so does the trick for a quick swim. Small rooms but nice and cleanly. Very hospitable stay. Location is absolutely perfect with a stop on the 12 Trolley right in front. Would definitely stay there again!

Property is well taken care of and very secure. New Orleans is very tight and strict with parking so paying for overnight parking is the norm. I personally do not like this practice but this property was $20 per night as opposed to $40 & $50 at other hotels

probably one of the cleanest properties that we've stayed in and the staff was so nice. the garden district is definitely where you want to stay and the streetcar runs parallel with the hotel the pool is cute and the breakfast is fresh and yummy :) pretty much 5 star across the board :)

Great service, location, price point. Stayed here for Jazz Fest. Gym small but adequate. Rooms comfortable. Easy to walk the Garden District and generally a much quieter alternative to French Quarter.

Check in was easy and breakfast was very good. Room was clean and beds comfy. Bathroom fan was very noisy and wired to the only light in the room. The pull up to switch from fauctet to shower head would not stay up. Exercise room well equipped and maintained. AC very noisy

Everything was great except the fitness center. It was very small. Every time I tried to use the fitness center it was too full for me to use. Also, additional fees for parking in the hotel parking lot. Should be complementary, in my opinion.

I traveled quite bit for business and pleasure during my younger years and stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels from the East Coast to the West Coast and points in between and I can assure you comparing service to value the Hampton St. Charles ranked second to none. The property is not new but very well kept, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great. I'm probably a generation or two behind in my comment but breakfast “it was da’ bomb!” Onsite parking was convenient and secure and I never felt the need to worry about my car or my safety. Speaking of security, the building and grounds were secure but easily accessible to the guest, my wife and were comfortable in all our comings and goings. Convenience, location ease of access to local transportation was great. We drove in mid afternoon on Tuesday and didn’t drive it until leaving late Friday afternoon. Everywhere by streetcar, walk out the front door, cross the street catch the street car and went to museums from the Garden District, to the French Quarter, to City Park always within walking distance of a street car. In the evenings catch the street car and go out to diner. A word about the hotel staff, from the front desk, to the breakfast hostesses, to the maids, to the maintenance workers, to guy with leaf blower in parking lot I bow to you, not one of you failed acknowledge us with a smile and a down home southern greeting – we felt so welcome we felt we were at home. We used to love this property, they have really let it go down. Our TV did not work, although the desk clerk did his best to troubleshoot. We were not offered ant concession or even the ability to switch rooms. Unfortunately it was an experience we don’t care to repeat. Will have to find a new favorite.

Perfect spot for everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was very good both days we ate at the hotel. They were very accommodating and had bag valet. Staff was kind and courteous and hard working. The room and hotel was very clean. The downside…we could hear everything in the room next to us. We were there three nights and the first night we could hear children yelling and playing as children do, but it sounded like it was in our room and not the next room over. We could also hear the elevator mechanism and there was a room between us and the elevator. Our second and third nights we could hear phone calls made in the next room and they were personal and business calls starting at 5am and again it sounded like she was in the room with us instead of next door. I’ll stay there again but I’ll bring ear plugs.

Loved staying here. Everyone was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Excellent wifi. Hotel was right on the St Charles Ave streetcar line with a stop right in front of the hotel. This made accessing the French Quarter and WW2 museum super easy. There were many great places to eat and shop in easy walking distance

This a very nice property. Our room was spacious. The St Charles streetcar line runs in front of the property and makes getting around NOLA very easy. The only drawback was not having a lot of closet and drawer space.

Every one was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We did struggle a little with the air conditioning ( sometimes too warm sometimes too chilly). Parking was easy. We had stayed here before as the hotel is just a few blocks from our daughter’s house.

Loved staying here. Everyone was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Excellent wifi. Hotel was right on the St Charles Ave streetcar line with a stop right in front of the hotel. This made accessing the French Quarter and WW2 museum super easy. There were many great places to eat and shop in easy walking distance

I traveled quite bit for business and pleasure during my younger years and stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels from the East Coast to the West Coast and points in between and I can assure you comparing service to value the Hampton St. Charles ranked second to none. The property is not new but very well kept, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great. I'm probably a generation or two behind in my comment but breakfast “it was da’ bomb!” Onsite parking was convenient and secure and I never felt the need to worry about my car or my safety. I loved everything except the breakfast. The omelets looked like they had been frozen and then warmed. The orange juice was made with a mix; try using concentrate. Everything else - cleanliness and helpfulness - was exceptional.

probably one of the cleanest properties that we've stayed in and the staff was so nice. the garden district is definitely where you want to stay and the streetcar runs parallel with the hotel the pool is cute and the breakfast is fresh and yummy :) pretty much 5 star across the board :)

We stayed for five days. Staff was extremely friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Breakfast menu rotated. Wish the breakfast included real oatmeal, not instant, and low or non fat yogurt. Conveniently located to transportation and restaurants.

Great location on St. Charles. Comfy beds. Lots of towels. Clean and quiet. Breakfast not so good. Got to the breakfast bar a little before 8:30 and most of the food was gone. When we asked if there was more coming, we were told no, it was almost 9:00.

FYI: Hotel.com says Parking is Available- Parking is about $22/day. At check in, we were told if we signed up for Hilton Honors Club/Membership, we would only have to pay for 1 day of parking. I said sure, and asked if there was anything else I needed to do in order to only pay for the 1 day. They said no, it was taken care of.. However, I was charged the daily parking rate each day we were there. Upon check in to our room, we turned down the air conditioning. We quickly noticed it was not working. We let management know at the front desk and were told maintenance would look at it. We said we would be leaving to meet with family soon and would prefer to get the issue handled before we left the hotel. We asked if we could be changed to a different room to get settled and then head out. The front desk said no, noting they would have 2 dirty rooms and the issue may be fixed quickly. We waited in the hall as the temperature in our room was rising. The maintenance person showed up within 10 minutes or so and noted that there was indeed an issue with the AC. After he returned with batteries for the thermostats the issue was still not resolved. He noted he would check some other possibilities and would return soon. Shortly after the front desk called our room and told us we can relocate to a different room. We were frustrated to say the least, and made to feel like we owed the hotel our time. In short, the room was not 'punched out' properly and they checked us into a down unit.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the 5th floor. It was nice and quiet. The ice machine on that floor does not work. Hopefully they will fix it soon. The area around us was safe and clean. I would stay at this location again.
