The room was super cool with a minimalistic vibe to it. Had to go to the sister hotel (IH) to check in and out. Honestly don’t think anyone was in the building at all besides us. There’s no bar or other amenities. Overall, super unique place.

We had a hard time finding the property bc the name isn’t on our he building and the address wasn’t visible but overall we had a great stay. The hotel bar was at another location and I didn’t know that prior to my stay but it was literally across the street. I would definitely stay again

Check in was easy and staff was so kind. The room was very large. The street was under construction and hard to walk down, but not too bad.

This lodging is no longer owned by the original management group. The lounge is closed - all you get is a room. Staffing at the front desk is minimal - often there is no one there and you have to go to the International House for service. Very disappointing experience

The attendant at check in was amazing, but past him everything else was awful. There is no parking for the hotel so I had to pay an additional $40 for parking. The entire first floor of this hotel is abandoned… amenities mentions a bar, but don’t expect that because it is completely empty and cleared out. There was not a SOUL on the first floor. Just an empty bar and an air mattress. Then you get to your room where the floors are nasty and sticky. The giant studio light that was in the room had a busted bulb so that couldn’t even be used. It was extremely humid so I woke up dripping sweat multiple times. Along with hearing every footstep the person in the other room is taking. The showers are AWFUL. Not even enough water pressure to knock the dust off of you. No shower door so every shower you flood the whole bathroom and shiver the entire time. bath tub was great other than the fact the water came out looking like milk. No drink machines no vending machines. There’s a mini fridge but it comes empty. Stay ANYWHERE else other than here.

Nowhere on the website does it share that the property is run by International House around the corner. There is no staff inside the Loft - all check-in and valet parking occurs at IH, and amenities listed (gym, spa, bar) are at IH, not the Loft. If you try to unload your car in front of the Loft, you are blocking traffic on a 1-lane, 1-way street. Absolutely ridiculous experience.

The road in front of the property was being redone so there was no access to drive up to. Had to park a few blocks away and walk luggage to the hotel. I called a few times to verify parking and it wasn’t clear as to where and how to park or the distance we’d have to travel with luggage. Check in took awhile, the front desk attendant called someone on the phone and didn’t really explain anything to us. When I went to leave the attendant told me that we didn’t have a card on file and the room wasn’t fully paid for. When I checked in I provided a card and verified the room was paid in full as I paid via a third party. Again the attendant wasn’t clear on the information and didn’t provide any solutions and made me feel like it was my fault a card didn’t get saved on file when I provided a card for deposit and prepaid the room. The first night I tried to use the stairs and the exit was completely blocked off because of construction outside. I brought this up as a concern as the stairs are also labeled as the fire exit if their had been an emergency it could have been tragic. Beside those concerns the room was beautiful, clean and a great location. The house keeping staff was very kind.

The hotel has great potential however, we it is nothing as advertised. There is no property staff.. the hotel is basically abandoned. We had to check in to another property.. there’s not even a sign with the name on it. We were told that it “used to be popping” but since covid they’ve been unable to staff it consistently. Reads that there’s a bar, spa, and restaurant on the property.. all of which do not exist. There’s no hot water.. and basically it was a scary experience as we seemed to be the only people in the building. Precious place but definitely not worth the money without the amenities. A falsely advertised experience all the way around.

Very strange "hotel". It's maintained by International House Hotel about 100 yards/meters down the street. Apperantly you also have to check in there. We learned this from someone also staying at the hotel who happened to walk in after we had been looking/driving around for about 30 minutes due road closure. Obviously nothing the hotel can do about that, but just a notification or email about where to check in would have saved so much hassle instead of sheet of paper that says to call a US number. At the International House Hotel you get valet parking at a garage a little farther down the street which had friendly personel. The Loft itself has most likely passed its glory. The rooms are very spacious but everything seems old and badly maintained. Broken curtains, the rooms isn't cleaned, mold in the fridge, toilet doesnt flush all that well and the shower is extremely weird. I think the idea is for a two person shower, but because its not cleaned the caulk on the showerheads makes the water shoot all over the place. The walls seem to be very thin as you can hear people talking and kids crying in the other rooms. Housekeeping wakes you up at 0945 to ask when you're checking out even tough the DND hanger is on the door. All in all not really what we expected for this price. Location is absolutely wonderful, really close to the main street(s) but just far away enough for it to be quiet.

The Tv in the unit would not come on. It was hot and uncomfortable. The A/C seemed to be having trouble, it did not turn on til 4am. There was also a smell in the unit as if it wasn’t cleaned prior to arrival. I am not pleased with the overall stay. The unit looked nothing like the pictures displayed online.

Good hotel for price. Hotel was about 5 minute walk to French quarter. It was overall clean besides a couple areas but nothing crazy. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. International hotel staff were very friendly as well. He gave me a taxi and let me leave my bags there before I left for my flight. Room was nice but a couple issues. Toilet would constantly flush water, the shower had two shower heads that were angled which was weird, and it felt very moist in the room plus hotel. Other than that it was good. The area around the hotel was under construction so I had to walk through an alley but it was safe and not bad at all. A little confusing where to check in at. The hotel was really nice for the price besides a few mishaps. I would book again!

The hotel has mice and rats, there was mold, there was no staff and my room key was given to another guest and the hotel did not inform me.

I was a bit concerned after reading reviews! Property is quiet, clean and amazing!!! Would definitely come back!!!!! Water pressure is low but you can still shower!!!! We enjoyed it so much!!!

The maid took my bathrobe after the first day and never gave me a new one. Because of the air conditioning you really need one. The sink was clogged the entire time I was there - maid would have noticed that, and the lighting was poor. Maid also didn’t replace tissues or toilet paper when out, but I’m a big boy so I did it. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Location was excellent. Windows allow noise from street, but not the bed of the world. Did sleep well there. Oh - the shower heads are lame.

Hotel was in a good location. The room as a whole was nice, very minimalist but good. The shower was extremely disappointing. Poor water pressure and there were 2 shower heads but only one valve. One head put out a very small trickle of water while the other was better but really weak. It reminded me of summer camp showers. The blinds and drapes were also not adequate to make the room dark.

Our room did not have a functioning iron and coffee maker. The window shade was broken and not replaced, just left on the slide with a thin curtain covering the window. The TV was placed by the side of the bed, a very awkward location. We did not have a microwave, only plus - the staff at the International House were courteous and able to heat our food up. The best part of this hotel, it was in close proximity to tourist locations.

Weird, this whole experience was just weird. So you check in at a sister hotel. IH. Reception was absolutely awesome. Gave us a room key and directed us about a half a block to the hotel we would staying at. Tucked away on a non busy street is a hammered copper door. Open the door to what seems to be an abandoned art gallery. No reception, quiet and kind of eerie. Elevator was laced in copper panels and wood floors. We stayed on the PH level, but not your typical PH at all. Room had unfinished concrete floors. Huge area rug tucked under the bed and platform style furniture. Bed was very comfy. The bathroom was huge as well with an awkward shaped tub and a unique shower. The heads were adjacent from each other but odd. Hard to stay under water. Lightening in the room was low due to the windows facing concrete walls. No view in PH2. Very loft style. Mini fridge was tucked into a shelving unit.. almost missed it..Never got coffee maker to work. But coffee shops close by. So didn’t bother me. Location was nice, located within walking distance of stores. Valet parking offered by the hotel.. but noticed a parking lot literally 20 feet away from entrance.. wish I would have be aware, prior to paying valet fees..and trucking our luggage half a block. Parking lot was about half the price. Honestly thought we were the only people in the bldg until day we were checking out, saw another human in the elevator. If you want an quiet and eclectic stay in NOLA, this place may be for you.

Loved the cement floors and big windows, but we stayed on a Sat night and it was LOUD! Party bus came down the little one way street around 2am and it was like we were partying with them! The music from outside was echoing in the cement room!! We did not mind it, but those reading this review may want to know that! Also, you have to check in a block down the street at International House, the building itself is literally just rooms right now, no personnel in the building; we were not aware of all this when booking. Not an issue for us, but would have liked to of known all the details in advance. We will def being staying again, we still loved it!

Loved the egg shell bathtub. Favorite part of stay. Central location for walking. From outside looked sketchy and had to check in at hotel around the block. The staff there was excellent and very hospitable, but the occasional staff at the Loft was unfriendly and didn’t even greet you when entering. Definitely a contemporary room and felt cold with cement floors. Yet that tub was amazing. First night very loud party upstairs in penthouse about 1am.

We chose this hotel because we were looking for a quiet spot, and the location on a side street seemed promising. We were happy to find that to be true, and the room itself was great. Nice bathroom, tall ceiling and comfy bed. The set up is kind of odd, with the all the amenities and desk around the corner on camp street, but wasn’t much of an inconvenience. We would stay there again.

One of the curtains in my room was missing. The room was filled w/ light and heat from the sun by 6AM daily. The mattress needs to be replaced. The left side of the mattress was sunken in. There was a significant leak in the bathroom ceiling. A staff member offered to switch my room. He and I checked 6 other rooms. NOT ONE had a working AC unit. The temps in New Orleans ranged between 76-90 degrees all weekend. I chose to stay in the same room since at minimum the AC worked. Hotel management never returned my calls. The hotel clerk Roman, told me my only options were to switch rooms, to a room he could not guarantee working AC in, or to leave the hotel in the middle of the night since the rooms did not meet my specifications. Requiring AC and a curtain are basic amenities. I didn’t ask for much just a proper room. His indifference to my concerns was appalling. I do not recommend this hotel.

The pictures on hotels.com where miss leading, it was pictures of the other property. Even at check in i felt i was being a burden to them upon check in. The TV on the room wasnt working, half the lights in the room wasnt working. I put in for a call and it took an hour and a half for someone to fix the tv. No one at all at the front next to help for abthibg. And the bar wasnt even there hourhand a half for someone to fix

Overall a nice stay. We were allowed to check in early after our cruise and our room was upgraded for no additional charge. They only issue was we had to check in at the sister hotel and pull our luggage a block over - likewise at checkout to retrieve our vehicle. If we were able to do this at the hotel booked our stay would have been perfect. We understand there were phone/internet issues the day of check in so this is not a typical experience. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay in a good location. We were within walking distance to anything we wanted to do in the French Quarter.

The style of the room was fantastic and just as shown. So modern and looked great. The shower was pathetic, a tiny trickle at a weird angle and difficult to wash my hair. I am glad I'd read other reviews beforehand about checking. The info provided from the property did not match the experience when I arrived. I arrived late and needed to go to the hotel round the corner to check in and then walk to the property with my luggage. The reception desk in the property was rarely manned in the daytime. There were also problems with TV tuning in the room. I reported it and they did fix it but then on the last night there was another issue, possibly caused by the cleaning of the room and something being disconnected. Overall, comfy and good quality but disappointing for the price I paid.

we got the room that was smaller and did not had a bathtub, even though we deliberately asked for it. front desk stuff was extremely rude and said it's not his problem, before starting to curse at me and my wife. the worst experience we ever had in hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING THERE!

I was scammed by Chris at the front desk. He sold us a tourist service he knew we could not attend, deliberately giving us false information so we would buy it and he could take his commission. What should have been a smooth experience turned into extreme stress, a $118 loss, and wasted time we can’t get back. When I raised this with the Manager on duty, she defended him and called it a “mistake.” It was not. We spoke with Chris for nearly 30 minutes, clearly explaining our situation. He knew the timing wouldn’t work, yet lied and reassured us only to secure the sale. The Manager promised a refund, gave me her card, and told me to email her. I’ve now emailed her twice with no reply. Five days have passed with complete silence, making me believe she may also be complicit. The hotel itself is fine for price and location, but staff behavior here is unacceptable. Upselling tourists on third-party services for personal commission is not hospitality, it’s predatory. The only staff member who showed empathy was the night shift front desk female, who saw what happened but had no authority to help. The Manager has the power to make this right but has chosen to ignore me. One of the worst hotel check-in experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world.

Construction was a problem. Everything else was great

The thing I didn’t liked was communication on where to go to check in as we didn’t get there till late and there was no attendant in the front desk so we couldn’t get it at all until another person staying there came along and told us where to go which happened to be at a different hotel front desk which was maybe half a block away. Other that location was great maybe little over a mile from the French Quarter.

I truly enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk to everything, and the private patio was amazing for enjoying coffee and long talks.

Property not as advertised. There's no bar or restaurant. No staff working either. No signs out front, took half an hour of driving in circles to find out you have to go elsewhere to check in. Broken shower, no blankets, no amenities, housekeeping shows up sometimes at 8am, sometimes not at all, doesn't replace anything like the soap or one bag of coffee.

Bear Bones room with cement floor with holes and cracks . Very low bed. Great marble bath with huge tub and open shower with sprays from 2 directions.. Flat couch. Floor lamb had no bulb. Small desk. No other chair. One large abstract picture on the wall. Long hallway from the door and closet into the room. No one in the lobby. We had to check in at a place around the corner and carry our luggage over to the Loft building. Bar also was deserted with only a few drums,and no liquor. Just a cold feel to the place.
