Extended Stay America Suites - Chicago - Woodfield Mall

Ok cheap hotel so lots of sketchy cars in parking lot, sketchy people wandering in parking lot. Hotel staff very friendly and very accommodating!

Checkin went well. Came back down to grab my stuff from my car 10 minutes after checkin. The front desk staff was screaming and holding a knife while swearing at a guest over the counter. I walked outside the back door. Within 5 minutes I wasn’t allowed back in the hotel for almost an hour because of the police. Then someone puked in the lobby and in the elevator and three hours later it still wasn’t cleaned up.

Location was great, and the Desk Clerk on duty in the afternoons were great, but there were too many issues with the hotel and the room. It was surprising because from outside, the building looks good and modern. Inside it's dated and there is a distinct odor of cigarette smoke, even though the hotel is designated Non-Smoking. The carpets have a stale odor as well. The Kitchen is ok, with cabinet space, sink, microwave, full Refrigerator and hot plates for a stove, but is stocked with nothing. You have to go back to the front desk and request what you need. You only get what they have on hand. The bed linen looked like it had never been changed and there were large nasty blood stains in the sheets. My wife went berserk. The pull-out Sofa bed did not have a mattress on it, so another trip to the front desk was required. It took some time searching but a mattress was found. The units common areas was quite dusty. At the front entrance is a full sized trash container. By the end of our 2nd day it was completely full. It went unattended to until our final day and was then finally emptied. During that time trash was blown around from the overfilled container all over the place and began to look unsightly. A weather mat at the front door was blown into the hedges and stayed there for several days. Lastly, neighbors in our hallway were loud and distracting. The morning breakfast was less than desirable & needs a lot of improving. The hotel and stay was highly disappointing.

Rooms were filthy, damaged, and the whole building smells dirty and/or of cigarettes.

Our room wads clean . The hotel needs a renovation. No vending machines in hotel or ice machines.

Someone played music all night. Management did nothing. Room dirty, outdated and smelly. Construction tearing up street outside. Hotel mgmt didnt bother to set up signs to help customers navigate how to access property.

The place was not clean at all. From the point of entry and check in you could see trash debris everywhere. It looks like it had not been vacuumed in a week. when i got to second floor elevator door opened there was a very foul smell. Proceeded to my looked down there was a open bag of soiled baby pampers and when i opened the room door 210 the bed was not made and no pillow cases on the pillows and the next day i was woke by barking dogs on every floor. Overall a very very bad stay.checked out early and went home.would have been better off renting a tent to stay in .the place should be CONDEMNED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a nice decent space. Clean and ready for us when we got there late at night. The only thing was a mix of weird smells in the room. That was the only discomfort. The place also needs some lights outside the building.

The floors were so dirty we wore shoes the whole time.

Room was smelled cigarette, web site says non smoking. Carpet is so dirty. Web description of room supply not available in actual room. No toilet holder, asked for one, but not provided. No room service provided like changing towels orbed sheets.

Sheets stained on 1 bed, other bed had damp sheets. No pillow case on 1 pillow. Asked to have sheets changed was told no maid service on duty and no extra rooms. Asked for refund and went to Holiday Inn.

The positive was the staff is very nice and helpful. There were several negatives. The room did not have a microwave and it took them close to 14-16 hours to have one provided. The room itself was dirty and had a bug investation. I haven't had an issue staying at this location with either issue until this last visit. I'm very disapointed.

The first room we were given was filthy. The bathroom light didn't work, the microwave was dirty the refrigerator was dingy and old the floor had bug shells in the corners and one of the beds was wobbly that the mattress with base came completely up from the floor when you just sat on the edge. We asked to move to another room and although the lady at the front desk was very pleasant she didn't know what condition the room was in. When she moved us the second room was a little better but when we saw the curtains with tiny holes in them it looked as if they have a serious problem. The bed covers were thin with only one sheet and only two pillows for two queen beds. And the drawers had roach shells in them not clean at all. The breakfast to go was a muffin and coffee but no choices. The location in Schaumburg right next to Woodfield mall come on this could have been a great place to stay but unfortunately the staff could careless. My recommendation is to stay somewhere else!!!!!!!😲

Everything is old and dirty! Carpet on the way to rooms is filthy and smelly! No shampoo, no body lotion, no hair conditioner in the bathroom, the floor in the room is filthy, the microwave and the fridge are filthy! “ dirty and old”! The 2 receptionists I met are nice and respectful but they are obviously helpless because they have nothing to help us! I would blame the management who left the property miserable like that. I would never stay in Extended Stay America again! The picture online are fake and not what we saw in real when we arrived there.

Lobby was dirty. Check in process was so slow and the ipad they used for checking in was dead and not plugged in. Fridge in the room was dirty and outdated. Tv in the room was old and small. Bathroom was old and dirty. The only good thing was the bed. It was comfy.

The bead was very creaky. The kitchen had ZERO equipment. No micro wave, not plates, utensils, glasses, pots, pans. In other words, it was useless. There was no armchair in the room even so the picture online shwoed that.

It needs money spent on updating. Shower curtain rod failing off the wall. Hole is developing in the tub. Hand rail in tub missing.

Room was not as advertised on app

Convenient and affordable. The rooms are cozy but smelled of food and the heat made alot of noise when on.

Everything was minimum quality and quantity. For the price, maybe it is about it. If you want something more than minimum, you better go somewhere else. Other guests are making noise at 3AM - 4AM, probably international travelers with jet lag, and I could not sleep. Breakfast is minimum or less. Kitchen thing are minimum or less. Coffee maker does not work. But price was low. So....

HVAC whines terribly. Otherwise it's been fine.

Bed was lumpy & hallways smelled like over-perfumed attempt to cover cigarette/pot smoke. Room did not smell, just the hallways.

I booked a room here and was told that i didnt show up in their computer totally unprofessional and unacceptable dont book with them if you plan on staying there because as i found out the hard way ,They do not care about their customers and they do not do good business your better off at motel 6 honestly

I like the cleanliness and privacy. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

It was very comfortable and the place is very convienient. buy some needed goods and cook at the kitchen, it was really good.

Accessible to the mall

Location is great - access to mall, freeways, and restaurants. Downside, there are small flying insects / bugs in the room and bathroom - requiring periodic spray.

It had a nice, quiet location near shopping. I wouldnt say the staff was rude but also not very welcoming or friendly.

Receptionist were good and friendly but the first morning there was only coffee nothing else asking reception they said no delivery came 2 nd morning muffin and cupcakes cereal coffee Overalls ok

Our stay was short but enough to consider not returning to this hotel. Our first morning on our way out for the day we wanted to get some coffee and it was out and it was only 9am. When we returned back in the evening hours on our way to our room we noticed there was a trash bag in front of someone else's room . No big deal at the time but it was left there for the next 36 hours and started to smell really bad. I had to call down to alert them to fact and the next morning the bag was gone but the stench still lingered in the air somewhat and was pretty nasty. Also they are not attentive when it comes to answering the front desk phone when calling. I had to make numerous attempts when to get someone. Ill probably most likely never return to this location again ever.

Loud. Thin walls and people talking loud and going up and down the hallway past 11pm, into the next day. Free breakfast i was told when i checked in was a grab and go. Ok i guess but when i showed up everything was gone. Asked if they could restock and all they had was a nutra-grain bar. They said they had no more oatmeal or anything. When i check out the person asked how my stay was and i said id had better and that was it. No interest in asking why, how could they improve, could they help in anyway. 1 star.

Booked 2 twin room got 1 king bed room. Had my 2 kids with me so it was a terrible stay. Breakfast is a joke. Coffee is terrible. Kitchen Cabinets won't close. Lights wont turn on.
