Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Schaumburg Conv Center

This hotel is beyond ridiculous you have to rent or purchase pots and pans. Only one trash can in the entire room, no napkins and most importantly no ice machine. This was a waste of my $75 dollars way below my standard, will never stay again.

There are more luggage carts needed at this location. Both elevators make a very loud noise while riding them. It’s awfully scary and sounds like both elevators are in need of repair. Guess should be allowed extra face towels 2 are not enough. Guess should not be inconvenienced with swapping out towels for new ones we don’t work there. That needs to stop. You need to separate cleaning rags from face towels. Cleaning rags should be used for cleaning not for bathing with and face towels for our face snd body I don’t use the same wash cloth to cleanse my entire body, I use several, one for my body, one for each private part and one for my face. Face towels look like rags. Buy some new towels and some nice new warm comforters and blankets for the beds. Just do some sprucing up. There needs to be a lot more air fresheners in the hallways because the hotel doesn’t smell very inviting. All these issues need to be addressed. I like the hotel but things would be a little better with these things taken care of. Make things nice and inviting for the guest so they will come back. How about offering coffee all day like a lot of hotels do. Make things inviting for the guest. Some people like to drink coffee beyond 9 am. I know I do. It’s not that much to do because you will get a profitable return, just make the investment and you won’t even have to raise your rates. Just try it and see the response you’ll get. Musty smelling corridors and room. Poor Internet connection…was not working 1st night. Not even an ice bucket and machine nor coffee maker and onsite coffee in lobby. Ownership obviously doesn’t invest in the property nor basic guest amenities.

Parking on all sides of the building.

The place was okay, at best. They are doing some renovations. Unfortunately, they were doing renovations in the room directly above me and seem not to care how it affects patrons. Never should they rent a room directly below a room having a new floor installed. Additionally, they did not clean the rooms well. This was probably my worst experience in a hotel. It was simply awful.

Tv was not easy to use and was damaged. Desk chair was broken. Therewas a odor in the room. The parking lot was being paved there was not nearly enough parking for guests. We parked in the reservation drive blocking it along with several others. There was a $50 dollar security fee not mentioned we we reserved our room. Breakfast was a granola bar and coffee.I will not stay at another extended stay america ever.

Positives: More laminated flooring than carpeting made wheelchair rolling easier! Extremely friendly front desk daytime person named Mihir going above and beyond for the customer. Large single room made wheelchair turning easier. High wall TV mounting gave customer more space on dresser. Huge kitchen with plenty of counter space for food prep and tons of cabinets/drawers! Negatives: No automatic entrance doors to the building/lobby made entering and exiting the building EXTREMELY difficult for us wheelchair people! (Hey, isn't that against federal law under the Americans with Disabilities Act from 30 years ago?) No handicapped accessible rooms available-therefore countertops prohibitively high! They don't seem to like us old, crippled folk's business too much...but they will let every disease infested animal into every room to pee and poop all over the building!

Disappointing Stay at Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Schaumburg Conv Center I recently stayed at Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Schaumburg Conv Center, and my experience was quite poor. The luggage cart was broken, making it difficult to transport our bags. The amenities were inadequate, with missing basic items and a noisy air conditioner. The "included breakfast" was a joke—just a machine for tea and coffee, and a few energy bars. Additionally, the hotel lacked cleanliness and maintenance, with stained carpets and neglected common areas. Despite polite staff, service was slow and unresponsive. I do not recommend staying here.

Property was generally in good condition. Check in was a nightmare, staff asked for ID of all people staying, even a full name of the kid, and they didn’t give me the keys until I pulled my family out of the car and show all family’s ID. Also they register a license plate and issue a permit to put in the vehicle, when there are thousands of places around the hotels with free parking lot and no requirements.

This property wasn’t the worst, but it was not the best. You could tell hotel staff was trying hard to keep the place clean. Constantly mopping and vacuuming, but we had a lot of roaches in our room. It’s coming in large extended stay hotels. It was also very loud! Lots of people doing laundry at all hours of the night and music and TV. Staff was friendly and attentive. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. I felt like they were doing their best, but I won’t go back.

Cockroaches and bed bugs!

Room curtain was off track and hanging loose. Window screen was broken and had hole. Bathroom was dirty and smelly, bathroom fan was covered with thick lint. I requested new towels for the second day, but staff said they do not have any additional towels. By the way, towel and bed sheet had brown stain. Kitchen PLAM was peeling. Floor was linoleum and floor transition was taped by strip of clear tapes. I travel a lot. This was one of the worst hotel.

Many many roaches and the toilet didn't work

Bathtub was dirty....had hair in it..bed appeared to be similar to a pull out bed (but a stand alone), power outlets didnt work, TV said "no signal" and the entire facility smelled like curry.

Rooms were filthy mold in shower stained sheets and towels. Asked for another room and not my h better the smell of weed and very shaddy people walking around

There was literally bed bugs

The room was pretty dirty. There was a brown stain on the bed sheet and there were dried-up piss stains on the toilet bowl.

This was a very disappointing stay. I did not feel like the room was sanitary. The kitchen floor was sticky. In the middle of the night when I visited the bathroom, a couple baby roaches scattered when the light turned came on. Ick! Also, the beds were very noisy as they had plastic mattress protectors instead of more cloth-like material. Every movement made a swishy sound. I expected better. I've stayed in many other hotels, including other Extended Stay Americas, and have never had the awful, loud plastic mattress protectors on the beds.

Furniture falling apart Uncomfortable bed, outdated decor and outdated furniture

Room has some kind of bad odor/smell. Pretty old property. Most of the furniture is also old.

One of the things I didn't like was that the bed had a plastic mattress cover that was loud and uncomfortable. It is built for the long stay in mind because I'm used to a coffee machine in the room with coffee which there was not. What I did like was the large refridgerator because I had a few friends over one night since I was from California and visiting with Chicago friends. Thatwas the whole reason I got the suite size room. Also, the room description said sleeper sofa but there was not one there when I got there. The girls said they would put one in the next day but then they said they didn't have one but I could mover rooms, which was inconvenient to pack everything up again and move. I don't usually give poor reviews but thought you should know.

The AC is very noisy. Mattress plastic cover and only one sheet on top. Feel like sleep on the plastic bed.

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room was terrible. Horrible stench, like wet mold. The ac did not work. Dirt and other debris all over the king bed. Black mold covering the bathtub corners and edges. Filth and dirt everywhere. Duct taped countertop. BLOOD STAINS-multiple- on the pull out sleeper sofa. Absolutely disgusting. We were given a new room for the night. It was slightly better. It was still dirty but smelled better and ac worked. Although window screens had large holes and no bath tub plug. The hallways were stained, filthy, and smelled horrible as well. The outside was unkept and none of the exterior door(with key icard entry) were locked and could be opened without a key. Very bad experience. 0/5 do not recommend

It seems like the hotel is a section 8 living quarters, no cleaning service, no trash pickup and the bed is just a mattress on a medal frame

Fairly run down and in need of renovation. Cabinets did not close. Apparent cigarette burns in furniture Floors "sticky". Didn't have a UV light but I wouldn't have been surprised. Operator phone went unanswered/family unable to contact us. Not a pleasant ending to a long trip. Significant other cried herself to sleep after we ruled out leaving and searching for alternate accommodations at 10 PM. Told by other seasoned travelers these places were pretty nice back in the day but have never been kept up or upgraded since being built. Super discount from "regular" price made it sound like I was getting a deal but not worth even the low price I paid. Workers were pleasant and I can't blame them for what they have been left to work with but next time I would seriously consider sleeping in my vehicle instead.

The bed was too firm and not a lot of cable channels to choose from. Was not happy with the first 2 hrs of noise and pounding above my head from the guest staying above me on the 3rd floor. I had to complain twice and the person still continued making noise.

My family and I stayed here for one night. Just a few comments. The towels were clean, but did have some stains. The shower was difficult to turn on and off. The bed was too noisy for my liking, my spouse slept just fine. The rooms need updated as far as curtains and couch bed. The couch had visible stains on it. The kitchen was basic but nice. However we needed a pot And they were all being used. There should be enough pots, pans and dishware for all of the rooms. The grab and go breakfast was simple and I really enjoyed the coffee. Staff were very friendly. Overall, I would stay here again. For the price, it suited our needs.

The kitchen had cockroaches. The bedding was scant. The TP was metered out one roll at a time. The corridor smelled. We asked for an extra dining chair multiple times - it never arrived.

Check-in was poor,congested,rushed and not pleasant.Front desk staff seems to be in a major hurry and not helpful!

They did not return my deposit

Staff goes through personal belongs and walks into rooms whenever they want. Employees LOVE TO ARGUE WITH GUESTS!!!! Stay away from this hotel.

When I reached there at 12:30 am the front desk person tried to check me in took $55 deposit and turned around and told me that my reservation has been cancelled by the system as no show as I came after midnight, so why in the first place she took $55 deposit when I was going to be turned down, then she said she can’t reimburse my deposit as the system is going through night audit, a big nightmare

Things weren't taken care of. Bathroom door didn't close properly. Bathroom tub dingy and need to be rechalked. Washcloths poor quality and found ahair in what was suppose to be clean. No dish soap. Breakfast the muffin i had the blueberries in it weren't fresh very old and hard could not finish.

For the price, not bad. Other than the hand towel in our bathroom having hair on it and the fact that the breakfast was an oatmeal stand, pretty good.

The room was nice, but the extended stay was an older building. They used a strong cleaning solutions, u can smell it when you first come in. The breakfast bar was tiny and had no place to sit.

The breakfast was terrible or non-existent. It consisted of muffins and coffee. The hotel was not worth the money. The carpets need to be changed.

Smelly. “Breakfast Included” is a joke! You can only grab and go with muffins with mold/fungi or granola bars.
