Red Lion Inn & Suites Caseyville

The room was okay, but the bathroom in the lobby was really bad. Also the lady at reception was nice but she looked like she doesn’t want to work there anymore. My partner asked her a question and she ignored him. Also I thought I only had to pay 70 but I ended up paying 100 and something.

Definitely not a place to stay. High price with very poor quality service and poor amenities. Will not recommend to anybody.

There was no hand soap in the room. When I went to the front desk, all they had was body wash. Better than nothing, having to ask for that... The location was close to what I was looking for. The front desk was professional.

I don’t even know where to start! Let me start with checking in, the employee was sleeping. Next parking, I had a what I could assume was a woman on drugs by my car. The gamble whether my car would still be there in the morning was present. The cleanliness was awful, stains, dirty mop bucket water, doors left opened, smell of weed (no smoking property), the room was not swept or mopped. Basic hygiene of the property was a zero. The elevator had stains which you could draw your own conclusion as to what it was. The room was not completely left to “normal” hotel status. The bed wasn’t made, the microwave has caked on yellow food. I contacted hotels.com they asked me what I wanted them to do about the situation, I told them a credit or full refund. I was disappointed that customer service didn’t truly empathize with the problems of this property. The stock photos are a complete lie/misleading. In short, I would not recommend the Red Lion Inn.

This is an interesting hotel. The front desk staff had a great attitude and explained policies to ensure there was no misunderstanding while staying there. The lobby had a strange smell, mixture of cigarette or marijuana smoke. The room was recently renovated which was great! The shower curtain was not long enough to stop water from splashing out and the shower curtain rod was not secured properly. You can hear upstairs guests/tenants throughout the night. Fire alarm definitely works in the room as I was jolted awake at 1am to the fire alarm going off. Luckily it was a false alarm but quite shocking to say the least.
