What an awesome location! We could see the ocean from the deck and walk to the ocean in minutes. The inside space is limited (as stated in advertising) but the large wraparound deck more than makes up for it. The pool is a hidden gem. It is shaded nicely during the afternoon and was just super for the kids. Mark, our host was very helpful and was available to answer questions. Within a 5-10 min walk you can get to Foodland, the food truck park, Cool Cat Cafe, Starbucks, and Kihei Kalama Village gift shops. A wonderful place to spend our holidays.

We stayed for 8 nights with 9 people as young as 6 and 7. We rented the second floor without the additional 4th bedroom that was offered. It was perfect for us. We used the kitchen to cook just about everyday. It saved us money on meals for sure. We stopped at Costco on the way in from the airport. The location is literally 100 feet from a private beach access where we launched the kayaks and paddle boards (which were included with the house!). Plenty of other items included as well, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, folding beach cart, life vests, bikes etc. On the ground floor of the rental there are games included; pool, air hockey, ping pong. The pool was very nice and clean. The plants on the property are just beautiful. You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into the landscape. The property is also gated off for privacy and saftey. Plenty of room to park 2 cars off street. Amazing sunsets over the water are just a 3 minute walk away. As well as a park and paved bike/walking path that continues along the water for a mile or so. We saw huge green sea turtles coming up for air right at the shore line the entire trip. The outdoor living space was most used for us. A covered deck wraps around the entire unit with plenty of comfortable seating throughout. There’s a stove and fridge outside on the deck as well. The views and atmosphere were terrific! Only 2-3 blocks away from shopping and night life. We will definitely be back if we circle to Maui again

In Maui for niece’s wedding, we had lots of family members that wanted to stay together, and this property was wonderful. The listing describes it perfectly. The location is great—close to beaches, parks, restaurants and shops. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool, the game tables, and all the beach equipment. Mark was very informative and responsive, and provided nice gift baskets on our arrival. Highly recommend.

Fun in the sun with our family! Lots of add on’s were enjoyed at the beaches! Bikes were rode, kayaks were paddles, snorkeling was done and wagon and stroller used a lot! Thanks hosts!

My family had a great stay at this condominium. It is located in the heart of Kihei and there are several shopping, restaurant, and rental businesses nearby including car, scooter, surfing and snorkeling. A nice county park is located next-door and there is good beach access within 500 yards to the south and four blocks to the north. The access to the north will allow you to walk at least a mile on the beach to the Maui humpback whale preserve. Mark the owner was very responsive and accommodating. There are several kayaks, surfboards, snorkeling gear available, as well as bikes and ping-pong, and air hockey games for the kids. We rented the extra room for our party of six. Except for a minor dishwasher problem the condominium was comfortable, had air conditioning, and a surround deck that allows you to find your own private space and take in the cool breeze off the ocean. Since it is located in a neighborhood, there are quite a bit of people out, walking early in the morning and late in the evening, and the only downside in my opinion would be that sometimes there are loud motorcycles riding up and down the street. Otherwise it was quite peaceful and a good value when compared the nightly rate for two at the grand Wailea at 796. There is no oven per se, but there is a convection oven/toaster, electric stove top burners and we were able to adequately prepare our meals, which saved us money. There is also two standing refrigerator, freezers. I recommend.

Beautiful house with so many extras- kayaks, sup’s, bikes, and beach equipment. Host responded quickly to all communications. Partial ocean view and easy walk to public beach. Be aware that although the listing says it accommodates up to 14 guests, our group consisted of 8 adults, and we found it tight. Dining and living areas are out on the lanai, as stated in the listing

Pool was always clean. Always had hot water with 8 adults. Different spaces for everyone. Many amenities for activities at house. Host was very available and responsive, but gave us our space; saw him twice all week. Location is PRIME. Beach, shopping, restaurants, park, basketball, surfing lessons, tennis, movie theatres, running/walking trails, sunsets, etc nearby/within walking distance. Great recommendations from host for snorkeling, luau, etc.

We had an incredible time at this property, it is right next to the beach and a beautiful park. Had eight adults and four children, used the bikes, the boards, the snorkel gear. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Amazing views from the wraparound deck. Such a convenient location to restaurants and shopping as well.

Overall, Mark tried to think of everything a family may need to get the most out of their stay in Maui. The space can accommodate 10, there are games galore, anything you can imagine for the beach, and the location is so convenient to the ocean and town. The welcome baskets were lovely. However, there are a few things that had we known, we would NOT have booked this location and we shared those concerns with Mark. 1. There is no FULL kitchen. There is a portable 3-burner induction cooktop and a toaster oven. It wasn't easy to cook meals for a family of 10 without a full kitchen. 2. There is full access to the rented 2nd level from the owner's 3rd floor level. A continuous stairwell is blocked by a shower curtain and a bungee cord. We felt very uncomfortable knowing they had access at any time. 3. The condition is not as represented. We expected the property to look like the photos. Perhaps it did 3 years ago when it was new, but it was more run down. The furniture looked like old IKEA dorm room furniture. There wasn't much effort to make sure that guests felt like they were on vacation, instead it was more like were old family guests that were lucky to have a place to stay on the island. 4. It was broom clean and had fresh linens and towels. It needs a serious deep-clean. We contacted VRBO, and continue to work with them. We made the most of our stay, but the family was disappointed because the 10 of us were there for a 50th wedding anniversary.

Cleanliness was at best a D, very dirt entry area, outside area wasn't clean at all, spent first 1/2 after check in cleaning out side area so we could eat outside ( it's the only area to eat). Beach stuff needs to get turned over, very old and dirty Two podivtievs were location and pool

Beautiful stay on a beautiful island! This rental is very clean and close to a park, the ocean, a small beach and many shops. Easy walk to grab a few groceries or a coffee. It was also wonderful to have boogie boards and paddle boards available to use and a beach wagon to haul over chairs. We were grateful to have them to use. The bikes would have been great too however, there were some tire issues, probably all need new tubes. That said it wasn’t that big of a deal, we just walked. The outside view off your porch is fantastic! Whales can be seen right from that porch. We really enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast out there each morning. There is a noise rule from 9pm to 9am which I appreciate and we did our best to follow (we were with 5 kids/young adults.) That said, I do wish the rest of the neighbors followed this rule. There was quite a bit of fighting, loud music, and cars peeling out from right next door both day and night. They bummed me out. Our host Mark was quite nice though and very informative, I valued his knowledge and suggestions. All in all, a wonderful stay. Mahalo!

We were a family of 7 adults, and a 3 y/o. The check-in was seamless, Mark greeted us on arrival and gave us a quick tour and rundown of the property. He had a couple beautiful welcome baskets with lots of delicious treats and cereal which greatly appreciated. The interior was more spacious than we expected (from previous reviews), & very clean. The rooms are nice and bright, with very comfy beds. The biggest hit was the pool, and lounging around the pool. The pool area is part sun/ shade, which we really enjoyed (which was nice after a long hot day in the sun). Mark thought of everything to make the guests stay enjoyable, and what we would consider “bonuses” to the property, such as: paddleboards, boogie boards, wagons, coolers, snorkels, life jackets, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach &pool toys(I’m sure we saved money not having to rent those items). We used the bikes quite a bit, some of them could use a little tune-up, but we got a few going and had a great time exploring - another great bonus! The location is also unreal, so convenient for paddleboarding with the little beach so close by, & only 0.3 of a mile to a great little swimming beach. There’s also lots of amazing food trucks and restaurants within walking distance, and the sunsets in the park nearby were unforgettable. Mark was also very responsive to any questions, he was also kind enough to let us use his slow cooker. We all agreed that if we came back we would book with Mark again!!

I rented the Halama house last week for 7 days. Me and my kids were traveling to meet up and were super excited to all be in Maui together. Upon entry I noticed the house didnt look clean. Didnt smell clean. The bathrooms were dingy. Years of dust and dirt had accumulated everywhere. I contacted the owner who lives in the floor above with his wife. Mark is very sweet. He came down immediately and after some negotiating agreed at his cost to pick up the tab for a cleaner of our choice. We found a company that could come the next day and with a crew of 3 spent six hrs cleaning the house. The negative is that we couldnt be in the house for our first day. Once clean the house was quite nice! White and brite. Not as big as it seems in the photos but spacious enough for a family of 6. There is a cool veranda to have dinners, view the ocean and relax in ample seating. Pool table and BBQ are downstairs. The pool is great. A fantastic park is next door great for walks/ runs and Kamaole Beach parks for swimming are 5 mins away along w Wailea more secluded beaches close by. There are pluses and minuses for having the owner real close. Mark was very responsive to any calls or questions. Great. His wife however was a different story. Very icy. Yelled at my daughter who had parked her car wrong. Also there is little insulation between floors and you can hear all their footsteps till late in the evening. We left the house very clean. All being said we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

A fantastic park is next door great for walks/ runs and Kamaole Beach parks for swimming are 5 mins away along w Wailea more secluded beaches close by. There are pluses and minuses for having the owner real close. Mark was very responsive to any calls or questions. Great. His wife however was a different story. Very icy. Yelled at my daughter who had parked her car wrong. Also there is little insulation between floors and you can hear all their footsteps till late in the evening. We left the house very clean. All being said we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

What an awesome location! We could see the ocean from the deck and walk to the ocean in minutes. The inside space is limited (as stated in advertising) but the large wraparound deck more than makes up for it. The pool is a hidden gem. It is shaded nicely during the afternoon and was just super for the kids. Mark, our host was very helpful and was available to answer questions. Within a 5-10 min walk you can get to Foodland, the food truck park, Cool Cat Cafe, Starbucks, and Kihei Kalama Village gift shops. A wonderful place to spend our holidays.

We stayed for 8 nights with 9 people as young as 6 and 7. We rented the second floor without the additional 4th bedroom that was offered. It was perfect for us. We used the kitchen to cook just about everyday. It saved us money on meals for sure. We stopped at Costco on the way in from the airport. The location is literally 100 feet from a private beach access where we launched the kayaks and paddle boards (which were included with the house!). Plenty of other items included as well, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, folding beach cart, life vests, bikes etc. On the ground floor of the rental there are games included; pool, air hockey, ping pong. The pool was very nice and clean. The plants on the property are just beautiful. You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into the landscape. The property is also gated off for privacy and saftey. Plenty of room to park 2 cars off street. Amazing sunsets over the water are just a 3 minute walk away. As well as a park and paved bike/walking path that continues along the water for a mile or so. We saw huge green sea turtles coming up for air right at the shore line the entire trip. The outdoor living space was most used for us. A covered deck wraps around the entire unit with plenty of comfortable seating throughout. There’s a stove and fridge outside on the deck as well. The views and atmosphere were terrific! Only 2-3 blocks away from shopping and night life. We will definitely be back if we circle to Maui again

Overall, Mark tried to think of everything a family may need to get the most out of their stay in Maui. The space can accommodate 10, there are games galore, anything you can imagine for the beach, and the location is so convenient to the ocean and town. The welcome baskets were lovely. However, there are a few things that had we known, we would NOT have booked this location and we shared those concerns with Mark. 1. There is no FULL kitchen. There is a portable 3-burner induction cooktop and a toaster oven. It wasn't easy to cook meals for a family of 10 without a full kitchen. 2. There is full access to the rented 2nd level from the owner's 3rd floor level. A continuous stairwell is blocked by a shower curtain and a bungee cord. We felt very uncomfortable knowing they had access at any time. 3. The condition is not as represented. We expected the property to look like the photos. Perhaps it did 3 years ago when it was new, but it was more run down. The furniture looked like old IKEA dorm room furniture. There wasn't much effort to make sure that guests felt like they were on vacation, instead it was more like were old family guests that were lucky to have a place to stay on the island. 4. It was broom clean and had fresh linens and towels. It needs a serious deep-clean. We contacted VRBO, and continue to work with them. We made the most of our stay, but the family was disappointed because the 10 of us were there for a 50th wedding anniversary.

Beautiful stay on a beautiful island! This rental is very clean and close to a park, the ocean, a small beach and many shops. Easy walk to grab a few groceries or a coffee. It was also wonderful to have boogie boards and paddle boards available to use and a beach wagon to haul over chairs. We were grateful to have them to use. The bikes would have been great too however, there were some tire issues, probably all need new tubes. That said it wasn’t that big of a deal, we just walked. The outside view off your porch is fantastic! Whales can be seen right from that porch. We really enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast out there each morning. There is a noise rule from 9pm to 9am which I appreciate and we did our best to follow (we were with 5 kids/young adults.) That said, I do wish the rest of the neighbors followed this rule. There was quite a bit of fighting, loud music, and cars peeling out from right next door both day and night. They bummed me out. Our host Mark was quite nice though and very informative, I valued his knowledge and suggestions. All in all, a wonderful stay. Mahalo!

We were a family of 7 adults, and a 3 y/o. The check-in was seamless, Mark greeted us on arrival and gave us a quick tour and rundown of the property. He had a couple beautiful welcome baskets with lots of delicious treats and cereal which greatly appreciated. The interior was more spacious than we expected (from previous reviews), & very clean. The rooms are nice and bright, with very comfy beds. The biggest hit was the pool, and lounging around the pool. The pool area is part sun/ shade, which we really enjoyed (which was nice after a long hot day in the sun). Mark thought of everything to make the guests stay enjoyable, and what we would consider “bonuses” to the property, such as: paddleboards, boogie boards, wagons, coolers, snorkels, life jackets, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach &pool toys(I’m sure we saved money not having to rent those items). We used the bikes quite a bit, some of them could use a little tune-up, but we got a few going and had a great time exploring - another great bonus! The location is also unreal, so convenient for paddleboarding with the little beach so close by, & only 0.3 of a mile to a great little swimming beach. There’s also lots of amazing food trucks and restaurants within walking distance, and the sunsets in the park nearby were unforgettable. Mark was also very responsive to any questions, he was also kind enough to let us use his slow cooker. We all agreed that if we came back we would book with Mark again!!

My family had a great stay at this condominium. It is located in the heart of Kihei and there are several shopping, restaurant, and rental businesses nearby including car, scooter, surfing and snorkeling. A nice county park is located next-door and there is good beach access within 500 yards to the south and four blocks to the north. The access to the north will allow you to walk at least a mile on the beach to the Maui humpback whale preserve. Mark the owner was very responsive and accommodating. There are several kayaks, surfboards, snorkeling gear available, as well as bikes and ping-pong, and air hockey games for the kids. We rented the extra room for our party of six. Except for a minor dishwasher problem the condominium was comfortable, had air conditioning, and a surround deck that allows you to find your own private space and take in the cool breeze off the ocean. Since it is located in a neighborhood, there are quite a bit of people out, walking early in the morning and late in the evening, and the only downside in my opinion would be that sometimes there are loud motorcycles riding up and down the street. Otherwise it was quite peaceful and a good value when compared the nightly rate for two at the grand Wailea at 796. There is no oven per se, but there is a convection oven/toaster, electric stove top burners and we were able to adequately prepare our meals, which saved us money. There is also two standing refrigerator, freezers. I recommend.

I rented the Halama house last week for 7 days. Me and my kids were traveling to meet up and were super excited to all be in Maui together. Upon entry I noticed the house didnt look clean. Didnt smell clean. The bathrooms were dingy. Years of dust and dirt had accumulated everywhere. I contacted the owner who lives in the floor above with his wife. Mark is very sweet. He came down immediately and after some negotiating agreed at his cost to pick up the tab for a cleaner of our choice. We found a company that could come the next day and with a crew of 3 spent six hrs cleaning the house. The negative is that we couldnt be in the house for our first day. Once clean the house was quite nice! White and brite. Not as big as it seems in the photos but spacious enough for a family of 6. There is a cool veranda to have dinners, view the ocean and relax in ample seating. Pool table and BBQ are downstairs. The pool is great. This place is amazing! It fits the description perfectly! Tons of outdoor living space with wrap around lanai where you can catch the most beautiful sunrise over the mountain or the sunset over the ocean. The park next door was great to take early morning walks and evening walks. Sitting on the rocks on the ocean was breathtaking. It was close to lots of different amenities. The host was great with communication and even gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. They even had a welcome basket for us which was a nice touch! They had everything you can think of - beach gear, snorkel gear, ice chests, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle boards, lots of bikes and tons of outdoor games! The beds were comfortable and area was quiet. I would highly recommend this place again!

STUNNING HOUSE! It was very easy to communicate with our host, Mark. His property is exactly as described! Steps away from the beach, beautiful sunset views overlooking the ocean, what more could you ask for! From the moment my family of 8 arrived, Mark was there to welcome us with open arms and give us a tour of his property, as well as having a welcome basket with all the necessities. The pictures don’t do it justice! Mark lives right upstairs so it was so easy to reach out if we needed anything. The pool was amazing! It was so convenient having all of the necessary items to take to the beach as well (cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, etc)! My favorite part was sitting on the lanai every single morning and watching the sunrise. Thank you Mark for making this trip so spectacular! We couldn’t have asked for a better host or location to stay! We are already planning our next trip and this property will be the only place where we will stay! Mahalo!

aLTHOUGH ADVERTISED AS BEACHFRONT PROPERTY, HAD TO DRIVE To 'good' beaches. Owner Mark was easy to get along with, but wife seemed to be a bit "bitchey." Glad I didn't have to deal with her. wE GOT THERE EARLY FOR CHECKIN and tHAT UPSET HER.

Our family had a wonderful time in Maui staying at Marks place. It was so nice to have us all under one roof with close proximity to shops, restaurants and the park. We walked the half block to the park every night to watch the sunset and the kids played soccer. Each morning we explored a new beach then returned for lunch and swimming in the pool. We loved being able to eat every meal on the lanai at a table that accommodated all 10 of us. Mark was very accessible as he and his wife live on the property but never intrusive. There were a few issues we encountered but Mark responded immediately to resolve them. We especially appreciated the umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, chairs and the beach wagon to get them all to the water.

Mark’s property was perfect for our large family group. The location was close to everything we wanted to do in Kihei, including beaches, restaurants, snorkeling, and surfing. Our group really enjoyed all the gear that comes with the house - standup paddle boards, game tables, bikes and more! Would recommend this place highly for a super laid back Maui experience. Mark was very helpful and responsive to questions.

Host was very available and responsive, but gave us our space; saw him twice all week. Location is PRIME. Beach, shopping, restaurants, park, basketball, surfing lessons, tennis, movie theatres, running/walking trails, sunsets, etc nearby/within walking distance. Great recommendations from host for snorkeling, luau, etc.

I rented the Halama house last week for 7 days. Me and my kids were traveling to meet up and were super excited to all be in Maui together. Upon entry I noticed the house didnt look clean. Didnt smell clean. The bathrooms were dingy. Years of dust and dirt had accumulated everywhere. I contacted the owner who lives in the floor above with his wife. Mark is very sweet. He came down immediately and after some negotiating agreed at his cost to pick up the tab for a cleaner of our choice. We found a company that could come the next day and with a crew of 3 spent six hrs cleaning the house. The negative is that we couldnt be in the house for our first day. Once clean the house was quite nice! White and brite. Not as big as it seems in the photos but spacious enough for a family of 6. There is a cool veranda to have dinners, view the ocean and relax in ample seating. Pool table and BBQ are downstairs. The pool is great. A fantastic park is next door great for walks/ runs and Kamaole Beach parks for swimming are 5 mins away along w Wailea more secluded beaches close by. There are pluses and minuses for having the owner real close. Mark was very responsive to any calls or questions. Great. His wife however was a different story. Very icy. Yelled at my daughter who had parked her car wrong. Also there is little insulation between floors and you can hear all their footsteps till late in the evening. We left the house very clean. All being said we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

What an awesome location! We could see the ocean from the deck and walk to the ocean in minutes. The inside space is limited (as stated in advertising) but the large wraparound deck more than makes up for it. The pool is a hidden gem. It is shaded nicely during the afternoon and was just super for the kids. Mark, our host was very helpful and was available to answer questions. Within a 5-10 min walk you can get to Foodland, the food truck park, Cool Cat Cafe, Starbucks, and Kihei Kalama Village gift shops. A wonderful place to spend our holidays.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Kihei Maui Beach house. Great communication with Mark, perfect location to stores, South Maui Food trucks, sunset viewing park and turtles, and near a long beach walk. We enjoyed our time on the lanai and the coastal breeze throughout the lovely setting. Highly recommend staying here with your group.

This place is amazing! It fits the description perfectly! Tons of outdoor living space with wrap around lanai where you can catch the most beautiful sunrise over the mountain or the sunset over the ocean. The park next door was great to take early morning walks and evening walks. Sitting on the rocks on the ocean was breathtaking. It was close to lots of different amenities. The host was great with communication and even gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. They even had a welcome basket for us which was a nice touch! They had everything you can think of - beach gear, snorkel gear, ice chests, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle boards, lots of bikes and tons of outdoor games! The beds were comfortable and area was quiet. I would highly recommend this place again!

aLTHOUGH ADVERTISED AS BEACHFRONT PROPERTY, HAD TO DRIVE To 'good' beaches. Owner Mark was easy to get along with, but wife seemed to be a bit "bitchey." Glad I didn't have to deal with her. wE GOT THERE EARLY FOR CHECKIN and tHAT UPSET HER.

Great location, close to everything. Perfect home for families with children, lots of things to do, ping pong, pool table, etc. bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear. watch sunset everynight and enjoy a constant breeze. Walk to beach, stores and restaurants. Only con is the kitchen size, but we made it work as everything is available. Great hosts.

My family had a great stay at this condominium. It is located in the heart of Kihei and there are several shopping, restaurant, and rental businesses nearby including car, scooter, surfing and snorkeling. A nice county park is located next-door and there is good beach access within 500 yards to the south and four blocks to the north. The access to the north will allow you to walk at least a mile on the beach to the Maui humpback whale preserve. Mark the owner was very responsive and accommodating. There are several kayaks, surfboards, snorkeling gear available, as well as bikes and ping-pong, and air hockey games for the kids. We rented the extra room for our party of six. Except for a minor dishwasher problem the condominium was comfortable, had air conditioning, and a surround deck that allows you to find your own private space and take in the cool breeze off the ocean. Since it is located in a neighborhood, there are quite a bit of people out, walking early in the morning and late in the evening, and the only downside in my opinion would be that sometimes there are loud motorcycles riding up and down the street. Otherwise it was quite peaceful and a good value when compared the nightly rate for two at the grand Wailea at 796. There is no oven per se, but there is a convection oven/toaster, electric stove top burners and we were able to adequately prepare our meals, which saved us money. There is also two standing refrigerator, freezers. I recommend.

The location is fantastic with lots of fun stuff is supplied by owner. Cooking area is tight and it rained on us the whole week so we couldn’t enjoy the place as much as we hoped. But very doable!

The property is not a resort. It's a privately owned beach house. The owner lives on the top (3rd) floor and guests stay on the middle (2nd) floor. Our 6 adults, 4 teenage kids and 3 cars fit perfectly. In our opinion, the best features of the home are the pool, the location (a stones throw to the ocean, 50 yards to Kalama Park, and walking distance to shopping, coffee shops, cafes, food trucks and entertainment in Kihei), and lots of recreation equipment.The host (Mark) was pleasant and helpful when needed. The ONLY complaint we had was that the sliding doors and screens to the lanai need to be adjusted or repaired.

This home is not waterfront! This is an apartment with a pool available! The host sleeps directly above. As a result, we were awoken by their alarm clock and footsteps at 4:30 each morning. There is not an effective cooking capability. The host has attempted to cobble together kitchen ware that is not effective if you plan on cooking for your family. The only dining area is outside. Very small couch for the advertised sleepers. Generally dirty home. WiFi is incredibly slow. Furnishings are in a state of disrepair. The bunk room smells like urine. The screen doors are ineffective. This apartment is worth half of the rent we paid for it. Overall, a super disappointing stay, but the island of Maui made it great!The host was super responsive and there is a lot of beach gear.

We had a wonderful comfortable stay! Our teenage children were entertained by the swimming pool, ping pong table and pool table. We spent many hours relaxing in the lanai- even while it rained. It was a great base from which to explore the rest of the island.
