Extended Stay America Suites - Daytona Beach - International Speedway

Landscaping outside needs more attention of manicuring. Inside hallways had all sorts of debris on the floors. Elevators were out of order. We had to walk two flights of stairs with luggage for two days. It was the worst two days I ever encounter at a hotel.

Hotel was very clean. Wi-Fi didn’t work. Didn’t get any sleep due to someone stomping around and beating on the walls which is not the hotel’s fault. The hotel smelled nice and friendly service

No working elevator.

We did try to check in a little early after driving in from Daytona but opted not to pay the $40 early check in fee bc we would only be in the room an hour before we needed to leave again. This was about 1pm. When we arrived later that evening to check in, a room was not ready yet. They tried to give us a room without a pullout couch but we already paid for the deluxe room to include that. We waited until a room was ready; maybe 20-30min. Room is outdated and furniture is old which I can overlook as long as its clean. Bed seemed clean as well as the towels and counters. When I got up the next morning and stepped into the shower I left black footprints in the shower from the floors in the room. I took a washcloth and no matter where I wiped in the room the floor came up black on the cloth. I went to front desk and got a swifter and spray so I could clean the floors myself. Even after this our socks were still black. They need a good floor cleaner or new mops or something. Yuck. The workout room has a broken treadmill, a working recumbent bike and elliptical. No weights. No cleaning supplies in the workout room or towels. Gross. The pool is locked until the manager gets there for the day. There are no towels out there. You have to ask at the front desk. The pool is tiny and there are only two lounge chairs. When we went to use pull out couch it was ziptied onto the couch and unusable. The front desk came to look and said a work order had been put in two months ago.

We were in town for a basketball tournament. The front desk who checked us in was very nice! Any hall way you go down smells like Marijuana even though its smoke free. Couldnt access the laundry room or vending machines due to the door not working. No front desk to ask for assistance. Grab and go breakfast consisted of muffins and grits. No bowls for the grits and no coffee cups for the coffee. If the reviews had been honest i would have gone elsewhere unfortunately.

The elevator was broken and they said it won’t be fixed for 8 to 16 weeks

Excellent prices. Clean rooms. Gym. Tap to pay Laundry and snacks. Grab and go breakfast. Kitchen. Closet space. Staff are the most incredible I've seen in Daytona,well trained and excellent customer service. Hands down!

Everything went smooth. The only downside was the elevator was broken.

Excellent hotel especially for the price. Walking distance to the speedway tunnel entrance. We stayed in a room right but the elevator and were concerned it would be noisy as there was a huge rock festival in town. It was not, just a few from time to time. The kitchen comes with nothing automatically, so you need to request a kitchen package if you want one. That was a slight annoyance for us because of the times we were there, no one was readily available. We microwaved our food on shoe box lids. Housekeeping also didn’t come once in our three day stay, so we didn’t have clean towels or toilet paper. The toilet paper isn’t great, so we purchased some anyway. The beds are very hard. Come ready for that. The rooms are very spacious. We had a double studio and had room for a king air mattress. It would be nice if the lamp between the bed has USB ports or plugs. The one on the desk does, but not by the bed. That would be a good convenience upgrade. Another thing to mention is whatever they used to adhere various fixtures appeared almost like blood or some other bodily item. It was spread all over the walls. Kind of gross. Another concern is that the main entrance doesn’t lock after hours like it should. There is a sign in the entrance to call for late check ins indicating the doors should be locked. We got back last night around 1am and they weren’t locked. That’s a safety concern for us. Otherwise the facility was quiet, clean, family friendly, and reasonably priced.

Bathroom was filthy pubic hairs on the toilet tub was not washed. Absolutely no toilet paper two out of the three lamps in the room didn’t work food underneath the AC unit hairballs all over the bathroom floor from people coming their hair the water in the shower continuously leaks all night long and leaks fast now just drips. The beds are hard and the pillows are horrible. Would never stay there again. Pictures are below did not get pictures of the pubic hairs. Didn’t think anybody wanted to see that.

Not very clean. Bed was uncomfortable. No grab and go breakfast at all ; just horrible coffee in juice cups. Shower drain was green w mold. Had to ask for toilet paper and was given 1/2 a roll. Staff was very pleasant. Not their fault. Front desk guy seemed embarrassed. He was very sweet. Housekeepers very nice. Maintenance guys nice too

Only needed one night and this place fit location and price. Front desk staff were friendly enough, but when we went into the hall to get to the room, the dank funk of weed just permiated the whole place. Initial impressions of the room were ok, until we open the curtains and it looked as if someones toddler, or dog, had smeared the window with some unidentifiable goo. Kitchenette area was good enough, although showing some age, but no real complaints. We didn't use anything but the fridge. The bathroom fan didn't work and there was a science experiment growing on the ceiling above the shower. Obvious signs of leaking above the shower as well. In the morning my wife saw a bug (roach) crawling up the wall that disappearred behind the wall art. as we left the room, we were once again greated by the dank funk of weed permiating the hallway in this no smoking facility. Other than that, it was great, except for the mattress. It needs to be thrown out because I could feel the springs moving beneath me.

Lobby smelled like marijuana and the hallways smelled like cigarettes. We booked this room because it is a non-smoking facility and I am allergic to cigarettes. The room was stuffy but did not smell of cigarettes at first. There was screaming and crying about an hour. This lasted until around 11:00 at night. The phone was restricted. Even an attempt to make a phone call will cost you a dollar. This made me concern for attempting to call the front desk. The elevator was broken and our room was on the second floor. That wasn't so bad except we had to walk several halls which all smelled of coffee smoke. There were several issues with the room, including a broken plug to the bath, broken cabinet pieces, and visible dust on services and con webs hanging over the bed. Although my room did not initially smell of smoke, I was unable to get much sleep due to the allergies from cigarettes, which means the rooms are smoked in without control from management. There were also items of trash under the bed such as old wrappers and water bottles. We didn't feel safe at this hotel. Also, breakfast wasn't actually breakfast. We were told at check in there would be muffins put out by the front desk for us to grab on the way out, as it is a grab n go breakfast. When we left, there was nothing there.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location relative to the track. I paid nearly $400 for one night only to be told the AC was broken. I gave the staff five hours to fix the AC while I was at the race. Upon my return I was told "the maintenance person is off on weekends". My AC was not fixed. It was hot, dirty, and stinky.

Room was nice and clean. Ac worked great through out my stay!

Check-in was excelle! Breakfast not adequate, location is good. Need to ask for everything we needed (silverware, coffee maker and other stuff)

Nice enough room with small almost full kitchen, very comfy bed and pillows. Quietst toilet I've ever seen, plenty of hot water for showers. You could tell it used to be a smoking property and the chemicals they use to remediate that odor are themselves very pungent. Do yourself a favor and get 3-4 scented candles or melting waxes. That made it tolerable once you got inside the room. Can't do anything about the odor in the hallways unfortunately.

Felt like photographs presented a different look and expectation than the actual room.

Had everything we needed for our short stay. No wastebasket in the bathroom was my only complaint.

The counter staff was amazingly polite, courteous & helpful. Went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The was outdated, couch, chair & bed was uncomfortable & absolutely not utensils in the kitchen for anything including NO in room coffee maker.

Beds were comfy. Full size fridge and freezer were great. The window looked like it had some damage. The shower had mold beneath the seam that could only be seen from a seated position.

All ok, too much noise from other guests is my only complaint

Very easy quick check in

Staff was basically non responsive. When the kid finally came to the front desk he looked like he’d been asleep. The room stank, the bed was horrible, just a bad experience. I will say that the shower was hot and the ac in the room worked. That’s all I’ve got good to say about this one.

I always stay at this location. This time I was told I didn’t have a room after reserving and paying for the room days prior to me arriving. I also called the hotel after reserving the room to make sure my room was reserved. I was given a room that smelled like cigarette smoke and I saw two roaches. Also no microwave was in the kitchen. I discovered this after purchasing food that needed warming up. Thumb Down.

They make me wait 4 hours for my rooms.

Booked this hotel, when I got there they said they had no room for me . Left me stranded.

I was allowed to book a room, when I reached hotel for check in - I got a surprise that, all rooms are full for that day and I have asked to reach out hotels.com for further details. The front desk staff was kind, but he couldn’t help ! Hotels.com said it was property’s fault which allowed me to book.

convinient location to race track

Front Desk Staff are Great, Hotel is Very Clean, Rooms are Spacious, Good parking, Full size Stove with Cooking utensils, pots, pans etc. Comfortable Bed, Room has Recliner for reading, TV viewing and just relaxing Nap, The perfect Hotel for Long Stay lodging, surrounded by Great restaurants, Shop til you drop Shopping Mall 2min walk, DBAirport is 3 min drive away. The Best of All is the NASCAR Race Track Events are just a 3min Walk Away in View.

Good area

There's a buffer area between the Motel and another business on the South side that looks like a dump. Garbage covering 70% of the 1/2 acre area. Just awful.

This property is poorly maintained and the area was surrounded by homeless people who made me feel uncomfortable. The photos are not representative of the property and neighborhood area. I cancelled the other 3 nights and went elsewhere.

Overall an Okay stay.. walking distance from the Speedway for Rockville was the best part.. many great restaurants in walking distance as well..

I like the peace of mind of safety, walkable. And a shopping Mall practically in the back yard surrounded by Great choices of eateries.basically across the street from the Best Nascar Racing Events and more.

Excellent location

Pleasantly surprised for one of the less expensive options on bike week. Clean with good service. Right next to the mall, speedway, and many dining options.

This wasn't a planned stay but it served the purpose - sleep & a shower - but would never return. The water pressure was lacking. The water didn't turn off completely in the shower, so you heard it all night. The bathroom door stayed all the way open or closed - no in between. No hair dryer, but besides a bar of soap, there wasn't any hotel necessities. One of the beds (2 queen room on the 3rd floor) a section of the floor & the dresser vibrated. The breakfast was non-existent. They were out of coffee (on a weekend) & the breakfast option was a packet of oatmeal. No bowls or silverware - needless to say, i can't imagine returning for another stay.

No breakfast was provided as promised in the reservation.

Very old property. Carpet and bedding appears well-used. Existed a bit more for breakfast than just muffins in plastic wrap, warm coffee, and Coffee Mate. Hotel is convenient to Daytona International Speedway and Daytona mall. Staff was friendly but really disappointed with quality, especially considering room was over $500 a night.

We were here for 7 days! Not once did they come to clean our room or even ask to clean it. So I had to clean it myself by changing my garbage and leaving the bag outside my door. one morning I get pounding on my door, waking us up telling us that we can’t leave our bag of garbage out at the front door, but you made it known that we couldn’t do that but you couldn’t clean our room? The cabinets are falling apart and the whole 3rd floor smelled like weed. Does anyone work here? It says breakfast included when I booked. Nope not a crum or even coffee. Never again
