Rancho Las Palmas is our favorite hotel. This time around, we had some difficulties unfortunately. The main family pool with lazy river, water slides etc were closed for our visit. No notification from Expedia when booking. No communication from the hotel beforehand. A letter was handed to us upon check in. Had we known, we would have waited to book (traveling with our sons). We asked to talk to the manager and she could not have been less interested in talking to us. Did not want to help. A “too bad for you” attitude. If you’ve been to this hotel, you know you pay a premium for the family pool area. Such a bummer. We still love this hotel but will definitely be calling before booking from now on. I wish they would have been more transparent. Really the only person who treated us poorly was the manager we spoke with. All other hotel employees were great, as usual.

Overall I was satisfied I would recommend for families kids have fun in the water slide and play area. My recommendation is to arrive early to save spot during summer time in the pool area. Parking is not easy during peak time and to top it off is 25 plus a day for parking and 45 resort fee they do offer free amenities or activities for kids do but some require extra fee to do. No elevators all stairs.

This hotel was perfect for our family and the other families we were with. They accommodated us and put our rooms all next to each other. The pool was amazing and my kids could not get enough of the lazy river. I loved how there were multiple lifeguards stationed along the lazy river. I really felt like we were safe.

Know before you go…. Summer weekend, expect a crowd & you won’t be disappointed since I’ll give you a few tips here to be proactive in such situations. -Pool opens at 9- there are lots of chairs but not enough for the crowd during summer weekends, so a line forms before gate opens at 9a. Hint hint. Weekdays are always slower and less crowded. -parking lot gets full after dinner and you may have slim pickings to none, but at times can park outside of the self parking gates and walk BUT even these can be taken up. We walked over to the plaza across the street, didn’t have to drive our cars. Now for the Good stuff…Our experiences during our stay- Bed is comfortable & warm Had 4 rooms and they were ALL clean and quiet (thought it would be loud b/c of kids and our rooms were next to the pool BUT to our great surprise, it was so quiet) and had great internet access. Staff members are ALL friendly, welcoming and professional. Many activities available for kiddos, even have free ice cream and snow cones.

The carpet in the room was very dirty as they never shampoo or deep-clean it. The phones in the room were dusty too. It was inconvenient that there were no trash cans in the bathroom. The swimming pools were fun and well-maintained.

The territory was amazing, the stuff was really great, helpful , the rooms were clean and big. The only thing that made me feel bad was the pools cleanliness, they were extremely dirty, full of dirt and human long hairs, it seems they were not being cleaned during the night. This was really disgusting

The resort has potential, but several issues need addressing. While the pool is relaxing during weekdays, it becomes overcrowded on weekends with day-trippers, day pass holders. The water was warm, cloudy, and filled with bugs and hair. The lazy river had little control of kids wearing 3 rafts around their bodies and nothing being said. The Conchilla pool had a visible scum line and floating debris, even after morning cleanings. There’s little security—people brought liquor into the pool area freely, ordered Dominos and brough it in. On two separate occasions, strangers charged food to our lounge tab claiming to be with our group while at the main splash pool. Luckily I caught the scam. Rooms are spacious but outdated, damp, and poorly maintained. TVs were big and slow to process. Drains were slow in the sinks, toilet, and shower. The grounds are decent, but there was upkeep needed all around. Towel service was poor—some were visibly stained brown and yellow. On the positive side, food at the Splash Grill was tasty and well-priced. Poolside staff, especially Gabby, were excellent—friendly and attentive. Drinks were reasonably priced, though the 18% automatic gratuity feels excessive for small orders. This resort no longer issues wristbands for all guests. With minimal gate control, it’s clear many non-guests are using the facilities. The resort lacks the polish and amenities expected of a luxury destination. Until improvements are made, I’d pass on returning.

We paid $27 per night for parking, but all close to our room parking spots were occupied. Room is dusty and dirthy. Bathroom doors and AC vents are very dusty, rooms smells like an old house with pets. Everything, included vanity is very outdated and need maintenance and deep cleaning. After we checked out and got the receipt they overcharged $200+ next day. Working to get that settled.

The only 2 thing i like, the workers and river, the poll is so dirty, the room is wors, we see lots of trashes on floor, as soonest we went inside my son took his sleepers off, and he said eww i saw lots of hair got stuck on his toes.

I haven't been back since covid. I missed this hotel a lot.We use to come here every end of summer. Before the school starts.The grounds are still same. The pool area are well kept. But disappointed with our room. It smell like mold and pee. Need to clean the carpet. It smells dirty. I don't remember that they charge for parking. On top of parking they charge tax on it. The staff are very nice and helpful.

The room was large with a king bed and fold out couch. Bathrobes in the closet were a nice touch. We had the adult pool & jacuzzi all to ourselves for most of the morning. The River, with many dining options, is close enough to walk to (we drove because it was 106 degrees). The front desk gives out free ice cream. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Check in was easy and pleasant.

The tile floors in the bathroom were cracked causing you to slip when near the shower. the ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and paint peeling back. The ac closet was blowing out lint in the bathroom

The Omni is a very beautiful hotel with multiple buildings that are only 2-story and detached from their main building that houses their cafe and restaurant. Check in/out is very easy. There is more than ample parking in front of your hotel room. There are several pools including an adult only one. Their golf course is beautiful and the hotel buildings surround it. We stayed for two nights at the Omni during a holiday weekend in mid-February and the golf course was wide open. The staff are awesome too. The one draw back was that the walls are thin between the rooms. Because of the pool with a slide and lazy river, there are many families at the hotel. My husband and I listened to screaming babies, children and adults argue almost all night long for both nights we stayed there. At one point we listened to this father threaten his toddler to the point we thought we’d have to contact the front desk. We are parents so wanted to show other parents some grace. For hours our headboard was bouncing from the wall it was attached to being pummeled by the children in the room next to us. So if you want a goodnight’s sleep, ear plugs are a must. You may also have to confront very noisy families or call the front desk. Oh and the rooms allow dogs in them so we heard the dog in the room next to us bark when room service arrived. It’s a shame for the property is otherwise very beautiful and the staff are very nice.

This was our second time staying there. .This time we stayed for two nights. service was excellent. We had an issue with tv Application. We called the front disk within two minutes someone came in and showed us how to use the app. They have room service daily. The staff were very friendly at the pool and all around the resort. Our room didn't had microwave but i think you have to request ahead of the time.

The staff makes this resort just so wonderful. The grounds, the pool, the vibe was just a worth it get away. On our last eve, we sat by the fire, listening to a girl play guitar, there were some kids dancing, the desert breeze combined with something tasty they serve, is now a forever memory. We will be back.

The hotel itself is nice but we had to call 3 times to ask for a pack n play for our room for our daughter and had to finally go to the front desk for water after calling several times for waters..: we’re in a desert, it’s a basic necessity. Everything is vastly overpriced. The food, the rooms etc

The service was excellent from the minute we pulled up to the very end. Donald at the valet area got us squared away and made sure the kids got ice cream and the wife and I got a drink upon arrival. They made a great marg at the lobby, all top shelf. The pools and water park area were great and the kids had a blast. Travis was our server at the pool and went above and beyond. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for a family of 4 with two small kids. The resort had movie nights at the pool which was great for the family. We are on property a couple times at blueember. I thought the short rib was the best item. Looking forward to coming back.

The property is great! I always love staying at the Rancho Las Palmas. Unfortunately the concierge was not great. Didn’t follow through on what was promised. The staff at Blu Ember is fantastic! Extremely helpful, kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend this property.

Every time I come to Palm Springs, Omni is my #1 pick. I’ve stayed at other resorts, but always compared to Omni. Because of the beautiful pool area all around, the cleanliness in the rooms, the food, and the staff. However, this trip I would say the only thing that made it horrible was the registration staff. I drove 2 hours, get there at 8:30pm and the front desk took another hour and a half to give me a room. When I approached the registration, there was a new employee that was assisting me, I had asked that I wanted to use 2 credit cards to pay for my room. The new employee was having difficulty doing that and I understand she’s new she’s learning, she was super nice. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name. She asked another staff to assist her. Her name is Jasmine LeDeon, she introduced herself in a very bad manner that she’s the manager. I explained to the “manager” how much I wanted each credit card to be processed and she wasn’t understanding me or she didn’t know how to proceed. Instead of apologizing because as a customer service position, we apologize; she was giving me attitude. No smile, her tone was rude I felt so disrespected that I wanted cancel my booking and go to a different hotel. And when I told her to please speed up the process and I asked her which part she’s not understanding, that I have been standing here over an hour, her response to me was “well I’m sorry my employee is in training” that I’m sorry was very very rude. Omni needs a new manager.

We LOVED this hotel. We stayed here as part of our road trip and drove down from Vegas to stay here. It was beautiful and had everything you need. There was so much space for everyone, no one was ontop of anyone else. The adults only pool is a great touch. Good options for food and drink. The sports bar was great and even made cocktails upon request. The location is a great. Easy access to a little shopping facility that had eateries and also convient for going to Joshua Tree National Park. Our only regret is that we didn't stay for more days.

The room was large with a king bed and fold out couch. Bathrobes in the closet were a nice touch. We had the adult pool & jacuzzi all to ourselves for most of the morning. The River, with many dining options, is close enough to walk to (we drove because it was 106 degrees). The front desk gives out free ice cream. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Check in was easy and pleasant.

This hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. I took my teenage daughter. We enjoyed the pool and pool bar. The lazy river was much smaller than I had expected but it was nice. The area has sp many great restaurants and shopping areas.

It was truly horrible. We left the same day we checked in and did not even spend the night. Multiple restaurants closed. bar closed. Arcade was broken. One of two water slides was broken. Terribly slow service by the pool due to only one kitchen being open. Hotel room smelled like wet dog, tv didn’t work and the shower had no pressure to do the faucet being corroded. Dinner was a terrible experience in its own right and finally we loaded the kids up the in the car and checked out at 8pm. Could t handle the smell in the room and just felt dirty.

The resort has a lovely pool area that is well kept up, but we were disappointed with the limited meal options after 5pm. The only restaurant open switched to a very upscale menu and we were looking for a casual dinner. The rooms were nice and spacious, but the walls were quite thin and we were disturbed by a loud family. The hotel was accommodating in allowing us to move rooms, which we appreciated.

We love Omni for an end of summer family vacation. However, in our room the bath was clogged and the water for temp never got cool/cold I’m assuming from How how the pipes were from the high heat temps. Also the bath water clogged. No hand soap was there on arrival. At the pool the servers were taking awhile to come and take our order. I understand it was busy but unfortunately it was faster to just walk up the bar and get your own drinks.

I was a great experience at the Omni. The restaurant is fantastic. The filet mignon highly recommend. The staff are friendly and there’s a really vibrant atmosphere there. Perfect for families the swimming pool and the lazy river is the first we’ve ever done something like that and the kids loved it.

Our room was clean and fresh with a balcony overlooking the golf course, right across the parking lot from the pool and arcade. The pool was amazing. We arrived early enough in the week that we had it all to ourselves. By Friday though it had filled up pretty quickly with other guests. We originally were staying here for the lazy river and we did not use it once during our stay. We ordered food and drinks at the pool and had an evening meal at the Desert Pearl onsite which was amazing! All the staff at the resort were so polite and helpful. I received texts from guest services about amenities available at the resort. My Husband and I stayed here many years ago. We were delighted to see that some things had been updated. I would definitely stay here again. I love Palm Desert/Palm Springs.

Everything was great almost all the staff was kind and smiling with the exception of the girl with the long black hair in the Cafe across from pearl restaurant. Didn’t greet us, didn’t smile, didn’t even seem to care to be kind at all. Front desk was amazing and super helpful.
Everything was great almost all the staff was kind and smiling with the exception of the girl with the long black hair in the Cafe across from pearl restaurant. Didn’t greet us, didn’t smile, didn’t even seem to care to be kind at all. Front desk was amazing and super helpful.

The overall property is excellent and the service is top tier. The condition of the rooms is becoming dated with visible wear and tear all around. In the summer it’s worth the price, but in the fall and winter when it’s upwards of 400-500 a night, I would say not worth it. Overall a great place for families and good options on and off property
