The rooms were very clean (no carpeting), with comfortable beds, fresh clean linens, and had great climate control. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering some suggestions around the Chinatown area for visitors. There's private parking inside the hotel area, and the rooms all feel safe/secure; that being said, being downtown LA, expect some city noises, at all times even at night (ie people on the street, large vehicle noises etc., even very late night, or early morning; not terribly disruptive, but don't expect absolute peace and quiet; the walls were insulated enough, but the building appears to be older, though subtly upgraded with essentials for the weary travelers, looking for a great price on a nice, simple stay. Cute theming as well. And walking distance to some amazing food places.
