Bank House, Settle, Yorkshire Dales

The flat was very clean, but the stairwell to the flat smelt of damp and it wasn’t very clean. Didn’t spoil our stay, we really enjoyed it!

On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The apartment is well located, mostly very clean, comfortable, pretty well appointed and a good size for two people. We had flat 4, which is at the top of the building and accessed from the rear. The stairwell is reasonably wide so carrying luggage up and down was not a problem for us - others could consider them steep and windy. There were a few negatives. Unfortunately, on arrival the communal staircase was blocked by e-bikes, which we had to remove to get in. It was also a fire escape risk being the only access point and so we contacted the host. They very promptly spoke with the other flat guests but some were not removed until much later that night! The flat smelt of stale cooking throughout our stay and there was some cleanliness issues in the bathroom. Info for guests should be refreshed every season as there were outdated travel and visitor guides and the parking has now increased in price since the marketing info was published. Overall though, it was a nice little flat.
