AC didn’t work for at least 3 days. Asked the front desk and they kept saying tomorrow they’ll have someone but no one ever came. The rooms are quite small, even with the kitchenette but the appliances like the fridge, kettle etc. are convenient and work well. Hotel is located right outside the train station which is nice but the entrance and elevator all looks a bit old and worn.

Excelente hotel. Literalmente em frente à estação de trem , o hotel fala que tem estacionamento mas na verdade é o estacionamento da estação. Chegamos de noite e foi meio complicado de entender e achar onde deveríamos deixar o carro. Não tomamos café da manhã no hotel, mas tem várias opções dentro da estação para escolher, que tem inclusive mercado. O quarto é confortável e o funcionário que fica na recepção super prestativo . Voltaria a ficar no hotel .

Le Montbrilliant a tous les atouts : la localisation, des chambres bien équipées, une literie confortable. Malheureusement leur climatisation ne fonctionne pas et quand on leur dit on nous explique que c’est en panne. Voilà : faites avec. Même pas un petit ventilateur pour aider. Quand à l’insonorisation des chambres : le voisin ou la voisine a regardé la télé jusque très tard et j’avais l’impression que la télé était dans ma chambre. Conclusion : le tarif relativement bas était un piège. L’hôtel ne tient pas ses promesses.

The hotel is located extremely close to the train station. It does not have a parking space. So have to park in the parking lot of train station, which is expensive. However, if you take a train, it is really convenient to stay in this hotel. The room is OK.

Different from the listing, there is no parking on site and the staff was not helpful to locate a parking lot. We booked this property because it was listed with self-parking available. No AC in the room, carpet is dirty as if it had not been cleaned for decades.

Excellent location right next to the train station. Room was clean, but the air conditioning didn't seem to work, so it was very hot and stuffy during the night and I had to open a window to cool the room down.

An aged formerly-grand railway hotel, now it is in a gritty section of town and it is quite run-down. We were surprised to find the restaurant and reception closed for ‘remodeling’, windows papered over, and a temporary reception desk perched in a hall. We were led around the corner to a service entrance to our room. The room had all the charm and cheer of mid-60’s, wallpaper peeling, a bathroom extremely unsuitable to mobility-limited people, and constant street noise all night. Moldy smelling halls. No breakfast available. Parking was a few marked spots in an insecure outdoor lot a block away. Maybe renovations will help, but this hotel has a very long way to go. The price should better reflect the many limitations and inconveniences. That said, it is very convenient to the rail station, but so are several better looking hotels.

This is a great location to get anywhere in the city and beyond. It is right next to the train station. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Shops and restaurants nearby. It is an older facility with stone walls that appear to have noise issues as I could hear the next door guest on the TV and on the phone. The staff was wonderful.

For a European hotel, this was a proper king size bed which was awesome for a great sleep before a long travel day. The restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing, and it’s literally right beside the train station & gave us free tickets to the subway to get to the airport which I didn’t even know was a benefit when I booked it. The bathroom was a bit small & I found I could hear all street noise & neighbour noise so that was my only slight downgrade from “excellent” to “good” but honestly it could’ve been that I just had a random bad sleep & I didn’t bother putting in ear plugs either. Overall a very good & convenient option!

Studio type room with a kitchen has a separate entrance.(it's not connected to the lobby). Building was very old and rusty. It was noisy as it is close to the train station. It is not a four-star hotel.

The property is in the heart of everything and right next to the train station that causes noise. The elevator is extremely small. Safe did not work in room and when asking for help, we got none. The front desk gave us maps, transportation transfers and restaurant suggestions.

Right next to the train station, so very convenient to get to the Geneva airport, but it was also too noisy to keep any windows open. (We couldn't get it cool enough in the room to sleep well.) Again, because it was so close to the train station it was a bit of a gritty neighborhood, but shops were very convenient (pharmacy, grocery, take-way meals.) The bed was comfortable and large but two wimpy pillows. We could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'd stay there again if I had an early flight or train to catch, but otherwise, I would stay elsewhere.

Such a great stay! Very affordable for Geneva and location can't be beat (it's right behind the train station). The reason however that I will be coming back are the staff. the front desk was the friendliest and nicest set of people to work with; they accommodated requests as they were able and I really felt taken care of (three different people and all were wonderful). Thanks so much!

This hotel has an amazing location if you're hauling luggage, and the staff were very helpful. The lounge is fun, and there's plenty of little cafes if you walk around the block.

Right next to the train station, so very convenient to get to the Geneva airport, but it was also too noisy to keep any windows open. (We couldn't get it cool enough in the room to sleep well.) Again, because it was so close to the train station it was a bit of a gritty neighborhood, but shops were very convenient (pharmacy, grocery, take-way meals.) The bed was comfortable and large but two wimpy pillows. We could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'd stay there again if I had an early flight or train to catch, but otherwise, I would stay elsewhere.

This hotel was really nice and so conveniently placed when coming in. It is the first building you see when you get out of the train station. However, you do have to walk a short while to get to the old town and the lake.

The hotel is located extremely close to the train station. It does not have a parking space. So have to park in the parking lot of train station, which is expensive. However, if you take a train, it is really convenient to stay in this hotel. The room is OK.

For a European hotel, this was a proper king size bed which was awesome for a great sleep before a long travel day. The restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing, and it’s literally right beside the train station & gave us free tickets to the subway to get to the airport which I didn’t even know was a benefit when I booked it. The bathroom was a bit small & I found I could hear all street noise & neighbour noise so that was my only slight downgrade from “excellent” to “good” but honestly it could’ve been that I just had a random bad sleep & I didn’t bother putting in ear plugs either. Overall a very good & convenient option!

Litt varmt på rommet, men et åpent vindu løser det hvis du ikke lar deg forstyrre av trafikken. Ikke veldig trafikkert på natta. Lokalisert ved jernbanestasjonen som hadde kiosker og supermarked. Går man igjennom og ut på den andre siden var det et mangfold av restauranter å velge i. Buss til og fra flyplassen stoppet foran hotellet. Frokosten kanskje ikke den mest mangfoldige men helt grei!

Walkable for the entirety of Geneva. Close to the train station but not woken up. Definitely NOT a 4-star hotel as updates needed, hotel seems old and facilities falling apart. Breakfast was poor, considering the price. Advertised time of 6am-10am, yet when I arrived at 7:45 there was hardly any choice left over, no breads, no croissants. I’d stay here again, but definitely would not pay for breakfast during my stay.

An aged formerly-grand railway hotel, now it is in a gritty section of town and it is quite run-down. We were surprised to find the restaurant and reception closed for ‘remodeling’, windows papered over, and a temporary reception desk perched in a hall. We were led around the corner to a service entrance to our room. The room had all the charm and cheer of mid-60’s, wallpaper peeling, a bathroom extremely unsuitable to mobility-limited people, and constant street noise all night. Moldy smelling halls. No breakfast available. Parking was a few marked spots in an insecure outdoor lot a block away. Maybe renovations will help, but this hotel has a very long way to go. The price should better reflect the many limitations and inconveniences. That said, it is very convenient to the rail station, but so are several better looking hotels.

Overall, our experience at the hotel was satisfactory. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. This visit we stayed in the studio around behind the hotel. We had several problems Small things, the pillows were flat and lumpy, the shower was very slippery. We did not notice these (except the pillows) until late our second night and we had an early departure so we just put up with it. However, when we tried to use the tv mounted on the wall we found it was not plugged in and the cords would not reach so we couldn’t plug it in. The bigger problem was that when we returned from dinner late there was a horrible sewer smell emanating from the shower drain. Our prior experience in the main hotel was definitely superior. We would stay again but those issues need to be addressed. The staff was very kind and would likely have tried to address those issues, but unfortunately, we discovered it very late and we were leaving early the next morning so it was not worth it we needed to sleep.

We had a great stay. The hotel is right next to the train station but the noise was minimal. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked. The bed was very comfortable. They loaned us an extension chord for my husband’s CPAP and gave us dinner recommendations. We did not try the breakfast but there is a great little coffee shop right next door. We will stay here again on our way home after going into the alps. We look forward to it.
